My favorite part? That neither of them actually win. Oh, gave it away. :-}

Buffy: Episode 42 "Lovers Walk"
Willow and Xander's affair finally comes out, leaving Cordy not only impaled but heart broken. Its nice to see that she really did care.

Angel: January 14, 2002: Birthday: A powerful vision knocks Cordy out of her body, leaving her physical self in a vegetative state, but a guide (David Denman) on the astral plane offers her a new lease on life. Unfortunately, it's a life without her friends, who are busy trying to figure out how to get her back. Angel sets out to speak to the Powers That Be, who can presumably revive Cordy and mend her vision-ravaged brain.

Angel: You're Welcome
Cordelia seemingly awakes from her coma for one last mission.
Cordelia's final episodeMoviegirl20http://www.blogger.com/profile/03422590631939655684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9295657.post-34762889068839694162008-06-13T12:29:00.001-07:002008-06-13T12:35:18.319-07:00Something NewSo, while reading all of the free stuff blogs I read, I came across the following deal, posted by My Good Cents "if you Open a ShareBuilder account and make one trade you can receive a free $50 by using code 50GO28. Click on “I am responding to a promotion” when you open your account."
So...I did it. I already have an ING Direct account (they own ShareBuilder) and the Josh has a ShareBuilder account. Plus it worked for the author of My Good Cents, so I thought I'd give it a try.
This Tuesday, I will be the proud owner of 1 stock of Revlon. It was a company I actually recognized. It was kind of confusing to figure out which plan I needed and how to make it only cost $4.00 (plus the dollar for the stock) but it was kind of fun. You have to keep the account for 90 days and it takes 4 weeks to qualify for the money, but hey, free money is good.Moviegirl20http://www.blogger.com/profile/03422590631939655684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9295657.post-72892675885593244572008-06-10T04:20:00.001-07:002008-06-10T04:20:21.390-07:00Random Post

<img src="http://www.magatsu.net/maritaltest/wife.jpg" width="72"height="72">

35

As a 1930s wife, I am
Poor

Take the test!

Moviegirl20http://www.blogger.com/profile/03422590631939655684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9295657.post-65398851199926004032008-05-31T07:50:00.000-07:002008-05-31T07:58:01.056-07:00Walgreen FunOkay, I know I don't save as much as some people, but I had a lot of fun at Walgreen's yesterday! Here is what I got:
12: Mitchum Gel 2.25 Ounces: 2 for $3.79 (normally 3.99 each at walgreen's, 2.69? each at walmart).
1: 11.5 ounce Folger Hazelnut coffee: 3.99 (normally 5 something)
1: container of large Dixie plates: 1.99 (normally 3.79)
1: Excedrin Migraine, 24 pills for 1.00, (normally 5 something)
3: Colgate Wave toothbrushes for .99 each (normally 2.99)
4: toilet bowl inserts for 2/$1.00 (normally .99 each)
I had a coupon for $10.00 off your purchase of $30 or more. That brings my savings to 9.76 in coupons, 3.00 in Walgreen's money, and 30.14 in advertised savings, making my savings total: 42.90, my purchase total 24.20. That's a good deal, even just for the deodorant. I almost feel like I got everything else free!
I know, its a bit odd to buy so much deodorant, but it was a good deal. :-}Moviegirl20http://www.blogger.com/profile/03422590631939655684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9295657.post-30642048626202352032008-05-26T10:59:00.001-07:002008-05-26T11:00:52.916-07:00May Challenge BookI loved A tree grows in Brooklyn! I loved it. I started with the abridged version, switched to the unabridged as as soon as it arrived through ILL. I loved it. It was wonderful. There was so much I was missing with the abridged! I didn't listen much farther than I had read before, so that was good. I finished the unabridged on Wednesday and just loved it. The epilogue was odd, but I loved the book.
Can you tell that I loved it? I do think that it would not make a good movie, they would have to cut too much out or it would end up really boring like the Da Vinci Code. That was a boring movie.Moviegirl20http://www.blogger.com/profile/03422590631939655684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9295657.post-59044207486399166172008-03-31T12:52:00.000-07:002008-04-23T06:10:16.595-07:00Secret of Lost Things by Sheridan Hay
I loved the beginning of this book but almost didn't finish it after an incident in the book. I've decided to start taking vitamins and bought vitamins for my immune system, eyes and determined to take my own daily vitamin. So, I broke out my handful of vitamins and asked the Josh if it was possible to overdose on vitamins. Being the very loving hubby that he is, he spent the next 45 minutes researching in order to keep me safe. Here are the fruits of his research:
Vitamin A:
fat-soluble (stored in liver)

If pregnant, toxicity can occur in the fetus if the mother
takes over 100% RDA (500IU)

In a normal, healthy adult, liver damage can occur in
long-term high-dose use (over 25,000IU)

Vitamin C:
water-soluble (excreted in urine)

Tolerable upper limit is 2000mg/daily.
High doses may cause headache, diarrhea.
Long-term high-dose use may cause kidney stones.
Abruptly stopping vitamin C use after long-term
high-dose use may cause rebound scurvy.

Vitamin E:
fat-soluble (stored in liver)

Tolerable upper limit is 1500IU.

No toxidromes have been found.

Zinc:
mineral (stored in skeleton)

High doses may cause anemia due to blocking
the absorption of copper.
Normal dose is 15mg/daily. Toxicity has been reported
after long-term high-dose usage of 300mg.
Normalization of high doses of zinc is a very slow
process.

Calcium:
mineral (stored in skeleton)

Toxicity may occur at doses up to 4000mg/daily
High-dose usage may increase risk of
kidney stones.

Selenium:
mineral

Toxicity may occur at toses as low as 900mcg/daily
(over 10x RDA)

Copper:
metal

Toxicity may occur at doses up to 10-20mg/daily
(5-10x RDA)

Lutein:
carotenoid

Toxicity unknown

L-Lysine:
amino acid

Toxicity unknown

Combined doses (that I would have been taking):

Vitamin A: 2500IU 12,500IU 5,000IU = 20,000IU(possible overdose)
Vitamin C: 60mg 250mg 350mg = 660mg (safe)
Vitamin E: 30IU 100IU 200IU = 330IU (safe)
Calcium: 450mg 55mg = 505mg (safe)
Copper: 2mg = 2mg (safe)
Lutein: 6mg = 6mg (safe)
L-Lysine: 500mg = 500mg (safe)
Selenium: 70mcg = 70mcg (safe)
Zinc: 15mg 25mg = 40mg (safe)

so, we decided that I shouldn't take the ACE vitamin since that would bring my intake to dangerous levels!
Just thought I'd share.Moviegirl20http://www.blogger.com/profile/03422590631939655684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9295657.post-31445549275808694652008-03-27T11:16:00.000-07:002008-03-27T11:17:29.716-07:00Elizabeth & Elizabeth: the golden years.I preferred the first film, but found them both fascinating. After seeing the Other Boleyn Girl last weekend, I feel like I watched the films out of order! All three have peeked my curiosity regarding that time period and now, I need to know more!Moviegirl20http://www.blogger.com/profile/03422590631939655684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9295657.post-79429610178092066072008-03-27T11:12:00.000-07:002008-03-27T11:15:27.923-07:00Nancy DrewI love the classic black & white Nancy Drew films, but found Nancy a very whiny young lady. In the new version, that I watched last night, Nancy is a much more grown up young lady. I was impressed that the characters actually looked like teenagers. Nancy seemed very secure in who she was and in her desire to solve mysteries. Who doesn't like to know the answers? Working at a library, my innate curiosity helps keep my job interesting, so I can understand her drive to figure it out.
I recommend the movie, just don't take it all that seriously.Moviegirl20http://www.blogger.com/profile/03422590631939655684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9295657.post-2399983877221274562008-03-27T11:08:00.000-07:002008-03-27T11:12:25.536-07:00Somnambulist by Jonathan BarnesWhat an incredibly odd book! It reminded me a bit of the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, in that it was fantastical and combined different mythological ideas into one story line. It was worth reading and kept my interest, although, once again, I'm not sure who I would recommend it to except my little brother!Moviegirl20http://www.blogger.com/profile/03422590631939655684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9295657.post-23973128193420588622008-03-18T13:46:00.000-07:002008-03-18T13:49:01.222-07:00My Year of Reading Dangerously=March BookCat's Eye by Margaret Atwood.
I loved this book. I don't know who I could recommend it to, but I loved it.
It was mostly about relationships, how women relate to each other not only as women but as small children.
The main character, Elaine, returns to her childhood home for an art showing and is besieged by images of the past.
Follow Elaine on her journey as she reconciles her history with her present.Moviegirl20http://www.blogger.com/profile/03422590631939655684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9295657.post-61128229882388271832008-03-03T08:59:00.001-08:002008-03-03T09:00:21.633-08:00Aunt Dimity: Vampire HunterA very cute installment in the Aunt Dimity series. It was very good. I was glad that they took the time line as far as they did, I needed to know what happened to Aliena!
Even though it is not the type of book I normally read, I really liked it. Yes, it is realistic in that people have sex, but that's part of life.
I love the descriptions of the architecture and building. Summer Glau is now the reason that I watch Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles, she's certainly more interesting as Cameron than Sarah Connor.
I like the advanced special affects in the movie, of course, tv shows don't have the budget for that sort of thing!Moviegirl20http://www.blogger.com/profile/03422590631939655684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9295657.post-73781351379984449922008-02-07T11:23:00.000-08:002008-02-07T11:31:02.189-08:00Click to Give

The Breast Cancer Site provides a feel-good way to help promote awareness of breast cancer and provide free mammograms for women in need every day — through easy and quick online activities.

With a simple, daily click of the pink "Click Here to Give - it's FREE" button at The Breast Cancer Site, visitors help to provide free mammograms for women in need. The lead, Jim Sturgess (who played Jude) was absolutely wonderful. This movie is a lot like Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band in that it had no real plot, but was madly entertaining. I'd love to have the soundtrack. I'm not so much a Beatles fan, but I love their music. Oh my word!
In case you don't know, it would prohibit restaurants from serving obese people. Don't they know who keeps them in business? While I'm very much a fan of the less is more policy on government, this is so big brother, I didn't even believe it at first and had to look it up. How crazy to tell someone that they are too fat to eat in your restaurant.
As if fat people don't feel enough bias.
Good job to the International Size Acceptance Alliance for getting this bill killed!Moviegirl20http://www.blogger.com/profile/03422590631939655684noreply@blogger.com
