Two Weeks

I wont go into to much detail let me just say it involved Heather being readmitted to hospital, drips, NG tubes neo natal ambulance trips and a hospital transfer

Christmas

Yes that time of year is once again fast approaching and though we will most likely have a white Christmas (or as I have been told by the PC amongst us Xmas) this is due to the constant frost not the nonexistent snow - temps have been a balmy -2 most nights.

Am working both Xmas and boxing day (go the Bah Humbug) but this is solely down to me and my greed if work wants to throw triple time and a day accrued at me who am I to complain

Lasly I want to rant at those amongst us who feel we must be cared for and preventing from harming ourselves the dreaded Health and Saftey (or in the words of Stephen Fry "Health and F@#king Safety)

We are a world gone mad during a recent QI programme Mr Fry explained that they couldnt demonstrate the properties of helium in the human voice due to these monitors of the public wellbeing also I heard on the radio the other day that pantomime shows are no longer permitted to toss sweets (lollies to the Aussie contingent) into the audience due to ....you guessed it HEALTH and SAFETY I have managed to survive till the age of 44 despite my many leming like impulses without these guardians protecting me and do you know what I think I may just be able to continue on a few more years by ignoring them

Busy Busy Busy

Have been flat out like a lizard drinking between the Job, Uni and my Xbox360 I barely have time to scratch myself

I took an annual leave day for Guy Fawkes night (again managed to survive....just even had the local "Neds" oohing and Ahhhhing at my handy work)

Work is going well and weather has turned cold (down to minus figures overnight) in other words all is normal

Havent really had a chance to post between the new job and my new uni module I'm swamped but there is joy ahead its cracker night in a week I'm stockpiling as we speak.

Wanted to post a comment that the fireman on the Harry Potter train made to me when we where chatting he was asked by one of the passengers what the trains carbon footprint was

We all just returned from Warsaw and Krakow after a weekend break there . We flew the polish version of Easyjet called "Wizzair" whos slogan is "you get a loty for your zloti" (the zloti being the polish currency.
The first photo is of one of the surviving gates to the old town

this is one of the odd statues there

While there we visited the salt mines now these mines have been in use since the middle ages we travelled down 800 steps till we where 80 meters underground

The tunnels run 250 km (we only walked 2.5 of them) and have 9 levels (we only went through 3) and reached a debth of 130 meters underground there are underground churches huge caverns shops and a ballroom!! (weddings are carried out there along with basketball games as well a number of amature sculptors have made statues and wall carvings in the salt rock

We took my parents on a steam train journey from Fort William to Mallaig via the Glenfinnan Viaduct (from the Movie's) they have even kept compartment C the same as in the films all in all a really great trip

The Slackest Man alive

I have to put my hands up I don't even have the excuse that nothing has been happening the fact is I'm just slack.
I have started a new job.
I have signed up for my next module in my uni degree.
And my parents are visiting from Oz. So once again I am promising to keep more regular updates leading onto my first pic of myself and the parents at Xscape in the background of this shot you can see the UK's largest indoor ski field ( my mother didn't appreciate the temp though)

Harry Potter

Well we have seen the new movie (it shows how boring my life is that this is my months highlight) and all I have to say is that the actors are getting a little old - the characters are 15 in this one and its a struggle to belive this. But all in all an enjoyable if somewhat dark movie.

I start my new job in two weeks and am really looking forward to it and thats really all I have to report hopefully something exciting will happen shortly

Glasgow Airport

These are shots of an incident that just happened at Glasgow airport this a day after police discovered and disarmed two car bombs in London
Luckily it looks like no one was hurt am especially glad as some of Gails relatives had flown out earlier

Good on the passangers who tackeled the muppets responsible - especially the one that was on fire
