Justins weekend home~fishing

Justin caught this fish while on his weekend pass.

These are the fish that we caught on our weekend fishing trip using our noodles for the first time.

Justin's first time ever cleaning fish. Doug told him if you catch them you have to help clean them. Not so sure if Justin was having fun though,lol

Doug had to show off one of the whoopers that we caught on a noodle.

This is a noodle. The floating thing you use when you go swimming. We cut them into 4 pieces, tide trout line string, added two fishing hooks and a weight. Threw them in the Coldwater River,MS and waited until they got a bite. When they went under water and then came up and took off you knew they had a fish on it. The best part of it is chasing the noodle. We had to chase one that got into a bush, when we got over to it Skyler seen a HUGE WATER MOCCASIN. Now that was scary, but we had fun.

This is one of the noodles floating in my pond. Had to take it out quick so i didn't catch any of my fish,lol

Josh and his buddy's won the championship dodge ball league at a Memphis YMCA. They started out with 16 teams played for 14 weeks and won it all. They received $100.00 and a trophy. The white team was the team they beat to win it all.

As you can see the fish are ready for me to feed them one last time before winter. I won't feed them during the cold months. they will go closer to the bottom and just sit there most of the cold.

I need to get out and clean up around the pond before it's to cold outside for me.
I love my pond I just wished that I had more room to build more of them. I just really like watching them fish swim around and hear the water fall. It's just so peace full even thou I live right next to the road.
I got more water flowing in this pond cause it's smaller then my other one. I can't wait till it freezes and you see the water coming out of the falls frozen it's just really neat.
I had to trim my tree so that I didn't have a lot of leaves falling in my pond. plus it just made it look better. I need to pick better spots to build ponds. I just didn't think about the leaves falling in my pond until it was all done and I found a leaf in it. LOL
All of the green tomatoes that are left that I need to pick before the frost.
Renee sent me this gojo bush and I just wanted to show her that it is still living and I will probable trim it down and cover it up for the winter.
This the last of my bell pepper bushes. When I get done removing all of my plants I think my yard is going to look naked. AHHHH that scares me!!!
Luffa, fix'n to pick it. I hope that it will dry out and I can use it.

These are some of the bell peppers that I picked just before we got the frost.
I never really had red tomatoes, they have always been green. Well I guess they will ripen up one at a time I hope all during the winter LOL
This is my Christmas cactus that Renee gave me while I visited her back in April right before I had my surgery. She said that her's has blooms or something on it, mine doesn't have anything. Why I don't know, maybe she just has a greener thumb then I do.
This is my Lemon tree that I grew from seed. I'm hoping to plant it outside next year. If not I will get it a bigger pot and just keep it in the house. I still haven't found a place in my yard to put it.

Skyler and Mini

Skyler is holding our new dog. Her names is Mini.
She is still really scared of people. Doug's sister got her while she was on her way moving back from FL.
I guess the old lady that had her died. Mini and another dog that Doug's sister Karen kept had no home, so she brought them home with her.
She is starting to get to know us, but for some reason she's really taken up with Skyler.
Aren't they cute together.

I can't believe this my luffa is really making a Luffa LOL. Plus I still have tomatoes growing. I haven't ever found a vine ripen tomato until just today. I picked it and put it on the ground so that I could look for more. Then just out of know where I backed up and steeped on it. Oh well atleast I can say I found one. I guess I should have taken a picture of it cause ya'll might be thinking I'm telling a tomato tale. (like a fish tale) LOL Oh ya I still have pickles growing just had to say that.

I can't believe this luffa plant finally gave me a flower.
Renee told me that her's flowered but I just thought that she was pulling my leg.
Now i have flowers. Now I just hope that nothing eats them. Like the bugs that are eating my bell peper plants.

The Farmers Goats

Christy and I went to pet these goats and the male is just so funny. I'm not sure why he snorts at us,maybe he just has to blow his nose every time we try to pet him. He also could have bad allergy's or he's just allergic to Christy. LOL The poor female goats had so many flies on them it was pitiful. I wanted to just lift them over the fence and take them home but for some reason I don't think that the male would have liked us taking his women from him.

The handsome boy thats modeling this backpack is Skyler my son he just turned 11. I'm going to make him one but it's going to look like an alligator cause thats his schools mascot. This one I made for Brianna ( Renee's Daughter ) but I'm not really sure that it will hold any big books. I guess she could ues it as a purse or something like that. I'm not to sure if she can use it at school. They have to have only clear backpacks so the schools can see in them. I hate that it has to resort to things like that in schools now. I guess when you take GOD out of the schools you give the OK to let the DEVIL come in and take his place. Ok I'm not going to get myself started on that subject cause it just really gets me upset how the government wants to be separated from the churches but they want to know why the world is the way it is. DUH

Dinner

This was dinner. I don't like tomatoes unless there cooked. I can't eat them raw they just taste funny to me. I can eat them on a sandwich,in soup,in a stew,with a salad but I just can't eat them plan or even with salt. So I just decided to add some olive oil to a pan add some corn and some onions. Cooked that all up and threw in some basil and salt and pepper and the tomatoes. It was good. Doug said I made a chow chow. What ever the heck I made it was good. It would have been even better if I could have put some squash in it ,but my squash didn't grow this year. Why, I don't know but I will try it again next year I guess.

This is the Luffa Plant that Renee' gave me. It just keeps climbing up my house but it hasn't made any flowers yet. You know I'm not really sure if Renee knows what she's talking about. She's always sending me things to grow or having me do something. I'm just joking I love Renee to death and what ever she sends me or what ever she has me doing I would do it. LOL Love ya Na Na
