I made Aunt Louise's cinnamon twists yesterday. They was yummy but not as good as Aunt Louise's even it's same recipe!? I gave few away to friends and they liked it.

I have been working out almost everyday this week since it's my week off. I can see the result and I have bundle more of energy. I really like working out because it gives me the time to think things out while I am on treadmills or working with weights.

I got a new vacuum few days ago. Really, it wasn't new but new for me. It seems like a tenant abandoned an apartment here in the building. The landlord gave the notice and it look like it wasn't replied so I found him chucking stuff out. I saw the vacuum so I asked him if I can have it so I took it home and it look like it's been used few time. It works very well so I am happy because it save me about hundred buck! And it will last me for long time. But I do wonder about the tenant. Oh well!

The soups

I decided to make two kind of soups today since I have been eating a soup almost everyday lately. I wouly go to Whole Foods and get 12 ounces of soup for dinner. It would cost me about 4-5 bucks everytime but I want to save some money so I looked up recipes on line and found two. Pumpkin Curry and Red Bellpepper. It both took me about hour to make both since I made them both at the same time. I bought the tubs at Dollar store for buck each. The tubs came in 5 so I only got two so I have 10 tubs. I only used 8. All of them are freezing up nicely in the freezer. Should last me for week or two.

I tasted both and both are very yummy! I am going make other batch of Pumpkin curry later this week to use up half and half also pumpkin puree.

I just returned from dentist and this one is keeper. I've had crappy dentists for past few years maybe it's due to crappy insurance I had. I am having some works done on my teeth in November. One hint, the gap will be GONE! Yay!

I was furious this morning with Shill because I woke up, groped for my glasses, didn't find it, and found it in Shill's mouth. He was chewing on temple tips (I just googled this one up!) I am glad that lenses are fine so I don't have to replace them in hurry.

I have been working out since I started working for ARUP and I can say that I can see the fruit of labor. I am happy with my accomplishment. Just about 15-20 more pounds then I can die happy. (Just kidding)

I totally love the weather right now. Not too hot or cold. All leaves are colorful and on the ground. Just wish that it stay that year-long.

I was sitting in the section where there were two television (one with
ASL interpreter and other captioned) I met a young man from Brisbane,
Australia. He was thrilled to find out that I know Auslan so we
chatted using Auslan. I told him I'm going back to Australia this
summer..... He was excited that I'm going down there. He want to get
together when I'm down there. And.... He said I should move to
Australia because they need more deaf members... Mmmm tempting....

I made pavlova which is Australian dessert yesterday and I think I did good for first attempt. Now, I got a recipe from Peta, my mate back in Australia. I will try her recipe this weekend and see if it makes any difference because the one I made yesterday turned out flat as pancake but tasty.

I decided not to go to Europe this year because I really want to go back to Australia and my friends has been begging me to go back. Actually, they want me to MOVE down there. Honestly, I would love to. People who have been to Australia will understand why. Only things prevent me from making the move are my dog, family, and job. The plan is that I will go back in July/August which will give me time to save money and the ticket is cheaper in summertime because it's wintertime down there.

I started letting Shill sleep with me for naps. It's nice to cuddle with him but he sure move alot. He now can jump up on the couch and bed. I am not thrilled about that so I have been trying to train him to not to jump but he's stubborn. I wonder where he gets his stubborness from!

I just finished Anna Karenina last night and it's a very good book! If you love melodrama then read the book. Now, I am trying to decide what I should read next. I have been eyeing Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. But I am unsure if I want to shell out 24-30 bucks on the book at this moment. I have one other book to read that will keep me occupied. I just need to find the book. Also, I need to get LSAT preparation book.

Shill have been sleeping with during daytime and it was nice but he sure run in his dreams. But I love when he scratched my back. It sure does feel good. His teeth are sharper so he destroyed and beheaded many of his toys. So, it means I need to get him toys that he cannot destroy in minute. He discarded the body of his favorite toy and kept head. I called him the executioner because he killed his toy in Marie Antionette fashion.

I have started feeding Shill raw vegetables and he loved bellpeppers (YES!) Carrot gives him gas so no more carrot. I am going to experiment with few vegetables and fruits over few weeks.

I realized that I haven't wrote anything for while. Things has been busy around here.

The weather has begun to cool down and I would open up the windows in living room to enjoy the breeze. That's one of many advantages of living on 3rd floor. Also, the colors on trees in the mountain are changing. So, in few week it will be all orange, yellow, and red. How lovely it will be!

Hope everybody had nice long weekend. I sure did! I spent it hanging out with friends. I went up to Park City on Monday to take advantage of sale at the outlets. We all was up there all day with Shill. The weather was LOVELY! Just perfect temperature. Shill was so worn out that he passed out on the way back to the city. When I checked on him few hours later- he will not wake up or anything just lay there like he's dead but can see he's breathing. He's so cute when he's like that.

Shill had trauma two weeks ago at his obedience school. He was sniffing at one dog and the dog snapped and bit Shill on his lower jaw and threw him aside. Nothing serious just little cut on tongue. Shill freaked out and will not let anybody touch him. He kept crying for while then he sprung back in actions socializing with dogs. He's funny little guy.

School has begun for many students and I have to admit that I miss being in school so I better get my butt in gear to get things together to submit to law school and graduate school for next fall.

Other day I got a email from my mom about her discover that Shill
still leaks.
So, I went out and got him a diaper so he cannot relieve himself
inside of the house. He looks cute with it on.

I also got him prong collar to assist with the training. It's working
so far...

Farewell to August

Today is the last day of August... What a month! A lot have happened...

1) My Mirage conked out and died on me. May its mechanized soul rest
in peace

2) I got a new car, Honda CRV. And I L O V E it!!!!

3) I spilled water on my laptop so it's in computer hospital at this
moment...

4) My iPhone cracked so I had to get it replaced but someone at
Apple's like me too much so I got new one at no cost since the
warranty expired..

5) I got to see my family and enjoy Arizona's heat

I learned an important lesson even in short time.

I was driving my car to work when it quit working. Those who knows me well know how I freak out. I pulled to the side of the road and got out cursing and basically say whatever is on my mind without thinking. I stormed off to Smith's to get oil because I thought I was out of oil.

It wasn't the problem so my friend came over to help. We tried to jolt my car back to life..

No luck... That's when I got really angry to the point where I kicked my car's bumper. I frantically texted my mom. I know she tried her best to calm me... But knowing myself, I need more than that.

So, I locked up my car and went home. Made a phone call to my mom. Tried to cool down... I love Lucy didn't have the calming effect on me like it usually does.

I went to the bed but my mind was so busy with questions like how in the world am I going to afford new car or things like that. Numbers and dollar signs were flying through my mind.

That's when I heard a small voice telling me to read the scripture. At first, I don't want to because I just want to sleep and get over with it. But I couldn't sleep.

So, I got the Book of Mormon out and start to read about People who lives during King Mosiah's time and how they have to escape from Lamanites by getting them drunk or the Lord caused them to fell in deep sleep. You all should know those stories...

That was when I felt the wave of peacefulness coming just like the waves of ocean. That's when I know that things will work out one way or not. I just need to put more trust in the Lord.

So, I guess you could say that it was the Lord who decided to cause my jalopy to conk out to make me learn one of many important lessons.

Today I was playing with Shill and I realized one thing that Shill did to his toys.. Whatever toys I bought for him that have ears...

He would chew the ears off... That shows me that he's aware of my deafness. But at the same time, it's SO cute! He would taps his nose on my foot if he want something from me or jump on me nonstop.

So... He's keeper! :-)

Can I say that I am excited?

I am going home next weekend for three days. I was at my work and bored out of my skull. So, I decided to play "airfare game" where I just look up airfare to random places through the world. I decided to check the fare to Phoenix and the price was SO low at 160.00. I basically drooled because I wanted to go home to see my family and of course, my nieces.

I decided to buy it since it's cheap and perfect weekend since I want to be out of Utah that weekend. I called the airline and informed them that I will be bringing my dog... *Surprise mom* I am excited for my family to meet my baby.

I took Shill to the service animal training session and I am SO proud to say that he did VERY well. We are working on him sitting at my command and he already got that part but I will still work with him in this area. I am looking forward to next Monday because that is when the class is.

No, I don't want to turn Shill into my service dog but I want him to be trained also socialize with other animals since I don't have other animals.

I think I just sensed Mom going OH CRAP!!! When she read the part that I am bringing the dog. Hehehe
