Why do people want to escape marriage? It maybe due to forced marriage but that isn't the case of this Japanese guy who stop wedding by setting the hotel on blaze.

My "Too Fast Too Furious" Wedding

Marriage Preparation in Singapore with ROM usually take months to prepare. But less than 5 days is what my wife and I did to complete everything needed for a moderately simple wedding.

Standard Singapore wedding includes:

Choosing wedding package: normally couples will visit many bridal shops and view the wedding dress collection and viewing many diff photo shoots from different shops before deciding.(usually take 1 full day for fast decision maker to weeks for slow decision maker)
A full day of wedding shoot: Normally it is scheduled days, weeks or months from the initial selection wedding package.
Research and booking of restaurant for traditional Chinese wedding: Estimating number of guests, selecting restaurants and deciding on the wedding dinner package normally takes 2 man days to weeks.
Time also need to be spent for selecting and buying wedding bands. Normally, few hours.
ROM normally scheduled away from the planning to avoid hectic schedule.

All the above, My wife and I did with a bit of luck and sheer decisiveness. I must thank her for being a fussy-free, cheerful and supportive significant half.

Below is the short narration of my "Too fast too furious ROM"
*Remember my wife only here in SG for slightly more than 5 days*

Day 0: During the day, my family and I booked the resturant and got the estimated tables for the traditional Chinese dinner next year. @ night 10 pm>> My wife and family arrived in Singapore.
Day 1: We went straight for Citigems @ vivocity, choose a set of wedding bands and purchase from the shop with a budget in mind. Upon shopping and looking for a decent white function dress...we stumbled upon a bridal roadshow @ vivocity in the EVENING. Upon asking, we managed to get the package with lots of perks and also the next day for wedding shoot with the rest of the week tied up for the bridal shop. Lucky!
Day 2: Went to ROM to sign confirmation of rom date. Rush to the bridal shop to get makeup for my wife. We had a whole day of photoshoot in the studio, botanic garden and sentosa. My wife and I keep cracking cold jokes, that the photographer almost wanted to throw her camera @ us... LoL
Day 3: I slept for most of the day, with my sister helping me to bring my in law around to visit temples with my wife (being dragged to follow despite exhausted) . I met up with my in laws in the evening for dinner and then we went off to KTV. No wedding prep day.
Day 4: Photo selection is scheduled on this day plus collection of the wedding bands which is re sized to fit our 4th fingers respectively.
Warning: Corny Stuff below!
Day 5: morning, my wife and I went to makeup plus dressing up for ROM.
During the rom, my solemnizer is not fluent in mandarin but to respect my in-laws who are from China, i requested the vows to be taken in Mandarin. My wife had a hard time in listening to the instructions. There is a instance she strained to listen and then say "I do" in a frantic manner (She is nervous anyway). The Solemnizer instead of asking "I can't hear u can u please speak louder.." said "Are u willing to say "I DO" or not". My wife is stunned and say "Of Course, I DO" angrily. This cause a laughter in the room.

Another funny point is that my wife and I supposed to hold hands before the vow taking. She is supposed to place her hands with palm down on my hands and we hold each other hands. Instead she place her palms up and then i try to signal her by doing a palm down action...she flipped her hands..phew...I flipped back to my position and she flipped again GOsh!! then she flipped back...Its like we playing some hands flipping game. Again the room roared in laughter.

Funny point 3: My wife when asked to sign, she ask: "does it need to be clear?" I say "of course" She wrote her Chinese name very straight and clear...very different from the signature of the ROM confirmation which she had signed on day 2. then when i told her the 2 signatures supposed to be the same, she panic and look very blur. haha, then the solemnizer took out the previous copy say ok...u just need to counter sign again. The room burst into laughter again.

The whole ROM look so cartoon, with me look stunned by my cute wife all this while.

Day 6: early morning rushed my wife and in laws to airport and bid them goodbye!

Indeed time flies, and those memorial days with my wife just sped through. I am anxious for the Chinese traditional wedding and hope it is less "cartoon" and corny that day. haha, but with Mr and Mrs Corn around, what else do u expect?

My title caught your attention...LoL. Anyway if you follow my series of Love and Marriage, it is not difficult to realise this blog post is going to be filled with practical tips. Tips of what? Be patient and continue to read, young jedi...RoFL.

So everyone knows I got a fiancee But many girl friends??? If u read carefully, it says "girl friends" and not "girlfriends" (without space). I prefer not to call them girl friends but rather female buddies. Platonic (Deep and spiritual connection between two individuals where the sexual element does not enter.) relationship to some is just a myth while to others is especially true.

With men and women intermingling in various spheres of life that were gender-specific in the past (home, the workplace, sports, school), people of the opposite sex are discovering new common ground and more reasons to be friends. However, our media constantly showed in drama series and movies, that male/female friendship eventually evolved into romantic relationship. Romantic interest, physical attraction and jealousy of guys chasing your female friend can threaten to jeopardize a life long cross gender friendship. So how to draw boundaries and lines...

1. Determine your feelings and his/hers
Be honest with yourself, ask yourself
"Do u really treat him/her as a friend?"
" Are u jealous of people of opposite sex talking to him/her?"
"Do you truly believe this person is better suited to you as a friend than a romantic partner and Y?

Your answer to above question helps u determine, do u really want him/her to be platonic friends.

2.Define your relationship from the start.
After you decide with point 1, dealing with yourself, now u need to consider how he/she thinks.
Do not presume that he/she thinks the same, communicate to know how he/she feels
Discuss why you both want to be just friends, have a mutual understanding of each other views and postion that both of you decide whether you guys can really be platonic friends.

3. Talk to your significant half (your girl/boyfriend, spouse). Ask your friend to talk to theirs as well.
Settle any insecurities or trust issues within a relationship that might be magnified by cross gender friendship.

Acknowledge any borderline feelings from the start and provide reason for friendship that outweighs those feelings:

"Yes, I think she is one Hot girl and i will be lying if I say i thought she is ugly. But we can only be
friends becoz we have been long time school mates and never involved romantic relationship besides I have you already" (becoz....and so on...above just an example)

"Maybe he and I could've been compatible as a couple, but no matter what I met you first and we are meant to be together. I am committed to work out relationship with you because we meant to be."

Also tell them the difference you have inside your head to differentiate romantic relationship from platonic.
E.gWhat they have to attract u your fren dun.

"I can share my views, philosophy and maybe team working with Jenny, but with you, we share dreams, hopes, regrets and most importantly a future"

4.) Involve your significant half You should make an honest attempt to befriend their significant other and include yours. Coordinate get-togethers that you all can enjoy as a group. Include your significant other in outings with your friend. Jealousy is much less likely to be an issue if your significant other can get to know your friend. It's going to take time, especially if they don't believe in platonic friendships. Likewise, even if you don't like their significant other, understand there might be a little doubt and jealousy over the friendship. Find out what they like to do and suggest an outing for just the two of you. By becoming a friend to the couple, the doubts and jealousy usually vanish in time.

5.) Minimize sexual tension.
Don't be "touchy feely" with your friend, even if you consider yourself to be a naturally affectionate person, and especially if either of you are in a romantic relationship with someone else. Sure, it's possible to make physical contact without inciting sexual attraction, but hormones can play tricks on us. Don't give those hormones a chance to confuse your status as friends. Limit hugs and physical contact to the same amount you share with a sibling or a co-worker, depending on what you feel is appropriate, and what you think your significant other (or theirs) would feel comfortable with. If you find the need to hug and touch them more, then maybe you're not just friends...DUH..french kissing and letting your hands wander around isn't too right for just friends only right...Read 1.) ...be honest to yourself!

6.) Prevent borderline situations.
Don't give people a reason to think you're more than just friends. Having a night out together is fine, but don't bring your friend into social scenarios where everyone else has a date. That is called dating, not friendship. You wouldn't ask your same sex friend to accompany you to your sister's wedding, so don't ask your opposite sex friend! If you are going somewhere that might appear romantic (e.g. a movie or a fancy restaurant) but you do not want it to appear that way, invite another friend of the same sex. Even then, people may insinuate that you are more than friends; be prepared for those suggestions, and think of how you can deny them gracefully.

7.) Reduce contact or end the friendship if the boundaries can't be clarified or upheld.
If your friend is attracted to you as more than a friend and can't seem to put that attraction aside, it's time to stop him/her. Keep contact casual, conversations short, and get-together s brief. If the friend continues to press for a romantic relationship when you've made it clear that you don't want one, if they constantly trash talk your significant other (without good reason), or if they let their own significant other demean you, then perhaps the friendship isn't worth keeping, and this person should just be an aquaintance...merely a "Hi and bye" friend.

Personal Experiences

My own experiences, sometimes it is natural to feel some attraction, but when you are honest with yourself and determine to be true to your significant half as well as to your friend...great friendship do blossom. I once chase after my secondary school friend (of coz i suck @ chasing girl that time) and over the time...I realize that we could be wonderful buddies for life...even though it seems peculiar to others and even due to the fact that i am romantically interested to her @ a point did not end this wonderful friendship we are having now.

I got a few more platonic gal friends notably one ex-colleague, my best buddy (nickname:Kuku Nathan) 's fiancee, one xiao mei mei from my old youth group...weird but seems like girls are least likely to link cross gender friendship with motives of "sexual intimacy" than guys.

Recently I know another girl through facebook due to common interests. She and me are so alike that I would nicknamed her CornMaiden...yea she is damn corny and I even feel that she is my long lost sister.. There are a few friends who know about it...ask me "din you have a fiancee?" I was like.. "Can't a guy have platonic female friends?"...anyway it's hard to explain...

To those who did not have any platonic female friends and criticize me on this issue..."You suck...coz you are of low EQ to handle relationship doesn't mean others are!" Do some research and reading and you will know that i speak the Truth... :) Feels good to write the last session of this blog..muahaha good night losers!

Puppy Love VS True Love

Well well well...I am thinking of some other girls while i am going to get married soon. I'm not thinking how i miss them but rather looking @ my emotions called "puppy love" back then. First, I must admit I got lots of "puppy loves" @ a certain stage of life. What is "puppy love" then?

Wikipedia describes it as an informal term for feelings of love, particularly between young people during adolescence, so-called for its resemblance to the adoring, worshipful affection that may be felt by a puppy.Formal term: Infatuation.

How do you differentiate puppy love from real love then? Below is the List of Difference between Puppy Love Vs True Love

Some personal notes: #3 is so true for me and my fiancee...people who know us will know that we went through long distance relationship which strengthen over time.

Nowadays, Windows viruses, spywares and various malicious attempt @ computers are rampant.It seems as soon as you connect to your computer to the Internet, evil people is waiting to infiltrate your system and cause havoc. Setting up a basic security system for PC is now a must. I will guide you through with my own personal recommendation.

Step 1: Construct a perimeter of defense
Strong Firewall is the first line of defense against potential attackers on your computer. Forget about Microsoft windows firewall, it is just crap. The first line of defense against would-be attackers on your computer system is a strong firewall program. With a good software firewall you can monitor all of the transmissions sent or received by your computer.

Step 2: Search for Spies
You will never like spies retrieving your personal data and send it to some evil hackers or some companies. T o keep spyware from accessing your computer, you need to monitor your ranks (and files) thoroughly and often.

Step 3: Beware of Plague
Evil Guys like bio warfare...They might send viruses/worms and infect your system. You got to have the technology to fight them.

Having a sentry, is another layer of protection. It controls which apps or windows components are allowed to run on your windows. It works like a firewall (checks network packets) , it checks processes.

Divorces are getting more and more common. So why do you get married? Below are some of the reasons:

(1) Peer pressure from your partner when you are not ready.
(2) "Accidents" resulting in creation of human life.
(3) Family pressure to get married
(4) "I dun want to be left on the shelf and only he/she wants me"
(5) Getting a "Dad" or "Mum" for your child.
(6) Duh!!! Simply Because "I Love You and You Love Me"

Reason (6) results in 90% of marriages ...duh!! People married because of that reason must be living happily ever after in the magical world of love...? Please slap yourself and wake up...Marriage is not so simple. "So problem is solved if I find someone who is cute, handsome/pretty and rich". If u agree with the previous statement, then i am almost 101% sure, you have only used 0.00001% of your brain (plain naive).

Credit Crunch is here...Inflation is still going to stay...Housing is still going to be expensive in the long run despite the economic recession we are facing.
Doom and Gloom especially if u just started work and wanted to have some savings.

There are massive money management notes and blogs out there. Even those that ask u to grow your own vegetables. Quite Duh right for Urban Singaporeans like you and me. I will cut the crap and drive straight to the point. It ain't hard to save if you are willing to change your lifestyle.

Tip #1: Reduce "Dispensable expenses". It refers to those items we buy on impulse or think it is worthwhile to get but doesn't make a big difference in our life. E.g A Professional camera @ sale where u ain't really taking professional photos. I had a friend with a Professional camera @ 2K plus snipping shots of himself and friends photos only..how professional it is.

Tip #2: Do not own a car just for yourself. Funny statement...you buy car of course for ur convenient sake...duh... Wait a minute....Here i am saying about "Just". Having a family car instead of a personal one, with ur siblings or parents sharing the financial burdens of this expensive "wife" is definitely utilising it. If U want to show off to pretty hot dumb bimbos that u own a car, don't save money...Simply close this page....you won't be needing this page @ all.

***If u already decide not to own a family car, skip to Tip #3****
Tip #2A Following the above tip 2... I remember reading from somewhere....If u really want to own a family car. This is due to heavier cars achieve fewer miles to the gallon and are more expensive to run as a result. But filling too less will waste your efforts as u need to go for more petrol runs. Follow the recommended 1/2 to 3/4 range.

Tip #2B: Travel in off peak hours. The "stop, accelerate" cycle during peak is burning and wasting your fuel. Ouch! Even if you have finished your work in office, probably staying longer to relax surf net read news, read interesting articles, close ur eyes and rest in your armchair...is worth the time and effort plus saving your $ travelling in off peak.

Tip# 3: Reduce your booze and partying activities. Booze and saving $$$ dun go well together....sad to say they are never good friends and never will be. Maybe a few cans of them in your fridge is still better than overpriced booze in clubs and pubs...Say goodbye to your flirtatious activities. Yea party lovers...exit here.

Tip #4: It is the best time to say Tip #4....Avoid having debts, reduce the number of credit cards to @ most 2. Y not one? One is the best to have. I currently have 2 one is a Citibank SMRT card and another is merely for some travel discounts credit card. Merely to say one is for daily expenses and another is for once in a while travel uses. Pay off your credit on time and never owe the bank money.

Tip #5: plan your purchase. E.g NTUC card owners, advice is to make your purchases during tuesday when you have additional discounts. Buy Wat u need now...and not wat u might need.

Tip #6: Have a separate account for your expenses, have a plan and monitor it. U can separate ur accounts into savings, expenses and investment. This help u to have a clear mental picture of how your expenses is going monthly. Wat plan? Practical example: besides 500 (posb required @ least 500 b4 deduction) , every month u transfer the amount u predict u going to spend in the coming month. This is to prevent you from overspending, but if u do , u will be able to keep track your transaction history of " Y ur expense account fall below 500 " thus forcing you to top up to 500 and feel the pain of overspending. It is some kind of psychological warfare against myself rather.

Tip #7: Reduce your fine dining...oh man u are a gourmet. There are plenty of cheap and good hawker foods out there... If u are a professional gourmet, u should not be here in the first place.
I remember a $20 bucks 2 scoop with lousy (in my own opinion) piece of waffle taste nothing above ordinary. It serves as a good lesson to me ever since.

WARNING...Next tip might be offending to some WAGs.

Tip #8: Do not over pamper your WAGS. Wives and Girlfriends (WAGS) are the most wonderful things given to men @ times (U can agree to disagree) that is when u make sure she loves you and not loving just your wallet. Over pampering in my own opinion is to take her FREQUENTLY to expensive dining and FREQUENTLY buying branded stuff for her. It's good and definitely healthy to make her feel special once in a while. But too much special stuff makes u eSPECIALLY poor....U are special now...haha.

Of coz please do not use Tip #8 and says "GURU CornLord teaches me how to save money. Therefore let's go dutch." Please show that u are a gentleman. Life is about balance...It's not all about saving $$$ but how to save $$$ gracefully. Misers...pls dun quote my #Tip 8

Tip #8A: It's an additional thought rather when i typing tip #8. But u may say: "how to save $$ gracefully if u got a girlfriend who always unhappy when u "dun buy this, dun buy that" for her.
or those type which always blackmail u saying "If u are not buying such stuff for me, You dun love me" Some girls are expert of blackmailing (i seen guys too ...another story a disgrace to guys) . Then u might need to think if the relationship is healthy in the first place....Relationship not only about..."You love me, I love you, Love here love there Love urself". True love is about considering for the other half...My advice is having a spendthrift wife will never make u rich. u get my hint. :)

The Financial Tsunami crashes down devouring Lehman Brothers,. Many citizens of the world who bought mini bonds from Lehman Brothers got their hands burnt.

In their frustration, they play the blame game on banks and sales people who "con" them into buying mini bonds. I am kind of sick of hearing these blaming. Y am i not sympathetic? Yes, I am not at all. To understand why, please continue reading.

Golden rule of mine in Investment : "Without due diligence, Everything else is a Gamble."

First of all, how many of those investors understand how mini-bonds work? Many grieving uncles and aunties around the world are lamenting "They only tell me it's safe and u get good returns, Who knows banks will cheat us?"

If you ask them: "What are mini bonds? How do mini bonds works? Why are banks and investment entities selling mini bonds? What role does mini bonds play in the financial market?"

Do you THINK they can give you a good answer? Absolutely NO!
If you have bought the mini-bonds, are you able to answer them? If your answer is "YES", you know the risk and reason why you are losing money. You know there is no one to blame but yourself.
If your answer is "NO", U are worse than gambling. Gamblers knows their odds and know the possibility of worst outcome even though they might be sore losers. You do not even know your odds of worst possible outcome to accept it.

Stop putting the tag "Investor" on your GAMBLER" tag, claiming you are a investor. You are NOT!.

Many people also like to play "ride on success" with friends who are investors. What do i mean? E.g Friend A tells Friend B: "I have some cash and B ...U are good in investment. Can I put some $$$ with you to help me earn $$ following watever stocks u buy?"
No due diligence is done here, you do not know the risk of investments or even what is the investments your friend is going to do. Money is a touchy issue, and in investments we bound to have fair share of losses and wins...only money management helps to make ur wins profitable over your losses.

Whoever reading this remember my golden rule and you will never again be a self denial Gambler. Ask the "Why, What, How, Why", Read news do research and know your risks and worst possible outcome, be willing to accept your losses. Be Diligent, Be an Investor not act like one.

Lawsuit Against God Almighty

LINCOLN, Neb. - A judge has thrown out a Nebraska legislator's lawsuit against God, saying the Almighty wasn't properly served, because of his unlisted home address. State Sen. Ernie Chambers filed the lawsuit last year seeking a permanent injunction against God.

He said God has made terroristic threats against the senator and his constituents in Omaha, inspired fear and caused "widespread death, destruction and terrorization of millions upon millions of the Earth's inhabitants."

Chambers has said he filed the lawsuit to make the point that everyone should have access to the courts regardless of whether they are rich or poor.

On Tuesday, however, Douglas County District Court Judge Marlon Polk ruled that under state law a plaintiff must have access to the defendant for a lawsuit to move forward.

"Given that this court finds that there can never be service effectuated on the named defendant this action will be dismissed with prejudice," Polk wrote.

The financial tsunami reaching into Asian market and it may be bad news for most. Singapore is officially declared in recession.

Many of the stocks reminds me of the overpriced sw*s*n ice cream i had in Orchard road. Suddenly sold like ice cream being paddled by the uncles on ice cream motorbikes selling @ $1 per scoop per cone. (sidetrack)

Think this way. ..if you are home maker, or someone looking forward to long term investment. My foresight is property market in SG. SG is diff from U".S simply because we lack of land and govt have plans to further increase the poplualtion. Pro-family policies including baby bonuses not long ago remember?

Through previous down periods of Singapore banks, we see mergers (DBS-POSB, (keppel bank)). This is not likely to happen as the last merger have consolidated the strs of the major banks now. If the tsunami threatens to destroy MAJOR SG banks like DBS, UOB etc, do you think our govt will sit there and watch the show. Knowing the mentality of our government is another important point. "What goes up will come down" A rubber ball that thrown into the air will come down to the ground and then bounce... (U get the hint?)

This is only a handful of opportunities i see..there are specific ones...but i will not reveal too much for it is better to put things into action than to say a million "do wat"s.

My 2 cents about the financial turbulance.

Do you know that for our normal singtel and starhub Internet users, we do not need IPv6 protocol as the protocol is not used for home consumers?

What is IPv6? U can read from the link below"
Definition and info of IPv6

What this means is that by default IPv6 whenever u surf your net, protocol check and some redundant check on IPv6 will take place (eating up abit of bandwidth). Therefore by disabling IPv6 is a wise and smart move to speed up your internet.

Instruction on Disabling IPv6 for Firefox users:

In the Location bar, type about:config, and press EnterReturn.
- The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear. Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.
In the displayed list, type network.dns.disableIPv6 in the Filter textbox.
Find the entry for network.dns.disableIPv6.
If the value is false, double-click on it, to change the value to true.
- If the value is already true, IPv6 is already disabled, so it isn't causing your problem.
Close Firefox, start it again, and try to reach a web site.

If disabling IPv6 doesn't resolve the problem, re-enable IPv6 by setting the preference back to false.

*XP SP 2 I.E Users have IPv6 disabled by default.

One of the usual guys' past time is to look at eye candies. This is particularly true in the case of my old NS friend who invites me to Geylang for food as well a walk down the alleys to catch some eye candies.

As it has been years since i last seen him and I do not mind seeing some eye candies. (I am honest here :) ) as long as he do not go for some "Extra curricular exercise" and make me wait for him at some coffee shop.

After a sumptuous meal at Geylang, we walked down to the lorongs (alleys), chit chatting and start viewing "arts". I need to admit, temptation is real but a mixture of fear of STD, beliefs and commitment to my fiancee helps suppress it. (Best way to resist is to avoid yourself in those places rather). Temptation however seems to catch my friend when we saw a certain chio PRC lady with her friends nearby. He start to approach *chio PRC babe and asking for cost of services. (you know what).

I went and tapped his shoulder signalling that i am leaving soon. But the friend of the *Chio PRC babe (not too bad looking but i will not call her *chio). I was looking at my friend feelingannoyed when i feel a hand stroking my thigh then to my butt and a voice from the lady saying "Shuai Ge...lai ma...wo hui ran ni hen shu fu de~" (translated: Handsome, come on, I will make u feel very comfortable~).

Feeling disgusted rather than "high", OMG "I am being molested. I signaled to my friend i am leaving that place. and quickly moved off. Going after me and grinning at the same time, he exclaimed "Too bad I am not handsome enough." I felt like punching his face.

From this incident, I learnt few valuable lesson:
1. Never stop walking if you are there for viewing only.
2. If your friend has intention of engaging the services, move off and drop him a call or sms.
3. Stay at least 2 arm lengths from the girls so that you have time to react.
4. Best option is never go with a horny friend.

I still can't help to feel disgusted.

It seems strange that I particularly liked movies with humanity values that I have never watched "Tears of The Sun" (lead actor: Bruce Willis, lead actress: Monica Bellucci) until now. In the show, Navy SEAL Lieutenant A.K. Waters and his elite squadron of tactical specialists are forced to choose between their duty and their humanity, between following orders by ignoring the conflict that surrounds them, or finding the courage to follow their conscience and protect a group of innocent refugees.

At the end of the show, before credits rolls...The quote:

Adolf Hitler, the world renown dictator broke a series of treaties and the league of nations did nothing until he declares war.

Upon research, i found this blog about children in Africa. It seems like good men are doing nothing and evil prevails.

Many crimes would have been stopped in their tracks just because we all thought someone would call the police and catch the bad guys without getting ourselves into trouble.
Bullying in school would have stopped, if someone is brave enough to report and stop it.

I am wondering if I am going to meet a situation where saving others might mean a risk in my life just like Lt Waters in the movie, would I make a clear decision to save. 80% chance i would if i am single and probably 10% chance if i have a family of my own.

I am not trying to say that all should do something to help others at the expense of his/her own interest. We are all selfish creatures seeking to protect ourselves first. But do salute and pat the back of those who do something to help the weak at the expense of their own interest or even their own lives.

The featured ladies may be the handful unfortunate ladies to meet up some of the worst Sg guys. When I am studying overseas, Singapore guys are hot properties by Japanese, China, HK and other girls. In fact, we are viewed as more gentlemanly. Y are we so detestable in eyes of sg girls? The overseas girls btw are all uni grads and not some uneducated village girls who are submissive.

In response to Miss Candy Soh, we are all being gossipy each day. Look @ the availability of news in the net. Bloggers are gossipy also. Its not just guys, girls or Singapore guys, in fact everyone in the world are getting gossipier each day. But being a paparazzi type i do agree its too much...but again...i know some guys and girls who are in that category not restricted to guys. U are plain unlucky. I got this girl who she is not my gf ask just too much of me. In the end, i had to give one word answer to show i am not exactly pleased without hurting her feelings. BTW, by accepting to be interviewed by a gossipy new paper make u less gossipy than others huh?

In response to Miss Celia Lim, try to look out for intelligent male bloggers like me or Relax. We do research on topics, written essays on social topics and like to involve in intelligent conversation. You have met the wrong type of guys in Sg, but it doesn't means all sg guys looking for fun and intimacy. Guys in nature regardless like to look at beautiful things..i do not deny i like to look @ beautiful ladies. But when comes to treating our female friends, my circle of guys and me treat them with respect and confortable no matter how sexy they dress. We do not see it as a sexual invitation though it provides eye candy.

In Response to Miss Jenifer Yeo, btw "Go Dutch" as the phrase suggest comes from Dutch themselves. "English guys are misers" a general comment from an irish lady friend of my sister. In fact most if not all my guys friends and I offer to pay for first date. But frequently to some posh resturants which will chalked a huge expenses, we need to take care of our financials right ? Especially most of us ain't rich. If you are talking about rich singapore guys who can afford u ur luxury, i will have no problem with that.
Come on...In all courtship, both parties (not just guys) always tried to show their best behaviours. But over the time, it's the character that counts in relationship. It applies for girls as well.

My views: There are "MR Wrongs" as well as "Miss Wrongs" around everywhere in the world. Just taking views of 3 successful single young ladies' views to generalize SG guys is just so narrow. We finally clinched an Olympic Silver... But any intellectuals will tell u, This will not encourage local sports development ... The caption in many local and foreigners' heart is "invest in young overseas talents".

Familiar with English Premier League (soccer/football)? They are facing the same problem in developing local soccer talents. The difference is they are clubs only looking forward to bring glory and $$$ in. Ours is a Country, we need to do more than that, we need to make our people feel the sense of belonging.

The sense of belonging was almost gone from my heart the day, the revered Singapore Flag was drag on the ground. The little bit left was almost consumed with the important NDP Rally postponed for a possible Gold medal. Where is the emphasis in the country? Country affairs or merely recreational sports. Even though poorer response might be expected, but that will at least earn respect and hearts of true Singaporeans.

We do not mind foreign talents come to Sg to work, nor do we mind them take up citizenship and hold our flag. Your forgotten sons and daughters only wish their hard earned money into better use, more respect for our revered flag and symbol ( do not tell me u guys never advise her of the importance of the flag in such a big event) finally show u place more importance in your own rally.

Congrats, We won the silver Medal and lost the "Gold" heart of ourselves. so did we win or did we lose?

How to earn $$$ with Emails?

Hi all,

$$$ I do not have in order to give you. But what i am giving u in the following is something call intelligence.

Ever received emails like forward this advertising emails and you will earn $$$ from Microsoft, Google or ____ (insert any rich , big business entity here)? The email are also SEEM to have testimony like "I thought it's ain't true until i received $___ (some random numbers to make it look real) in my bank account".

Sorry to burst your bubble here. No emails that advertise by volumes of forwarding will earn you anything. The person who started the spam mail probably is laughing is ass off.
Reason:

Emails are spread vastly over emails servers all over the world. In order to track it, it would not only required a system(relatively expensive to build) to track how many recipients which each individuals sent, they also had to have permissions of the hosts/owners of the email servers in order to retrieve their logs and mine the information out.

$$$ and time (resources) is one thing, they also have to handle privacy issues or else one day they will have lawyers to sue the pants off their ass. Unless you think that those business entities have nothing better to do, else they would rather focus their resources in more meaningful projects

How about google ads? when someone click on the ads on ur website, it actually forward u to a google website b4 redirecting u to that is advertise. Thus they have no legal issues of infringing privacy plus with the host owner had to register and agree on the terms and conditions to the advertising. This would give them a mechanism to track and also from their own server.

For email, there is no such mechanism. Conclusion: Spam emails do not help in generating revenues (Unless Bill Gates or any of the CEOs Gone Bonkers) .

Spam emails also do not help to raise donation for some poor cancer stricken child (Unless Charity oragnisation decide to spend $$ and time to develop the system instead of helping the needy). Emails also do not give blessing (Unless God keep track of Emails servers) nor will they help to curse you if u do not send them out(Unless Devils, demon are all PHD in Computer Science).

I couldn't say I am a patriotic Singaporean. In fact, I never was. But when I saw how my country flag is treated, I am disgusted. It swept on the ground of the "bird nest" Stadium in Beijing in front of Billions watching in the world.

If Li Jiawei (Singapore Flag bearer) the ground occasionally by accident, it can be forgiven. But our flag was dragged across the whole track to the holding area. By the way, Li Jiawei is a "Made in China" foreign talent in Singapore. However, please show some respect to our nation as 9th August is our national day. "AND U Dragged our Flag on the ground a day before our national DAY??!!!"

The most guilty party of all in this incident is the Singapore Sports Association (Council) or whoever you are. In the first place, why can't you choose a born in Singapore and bred in Singapore Athlete to hold the flag? I bet they will at least show pride and respect to the flag. Look @ Li Jiawei, she looked grumpy at times holding our Flag. Compare the pictures above.
