Calling all Chevrolet Corvette enthusiasts!!! Hendrick Chevrolet Cadillac of Monroe has two very special, NEW arrivals. We are fortunate to be one of the only dealerships in the southeast region to offer “The 2009 Chevrolet Corvette Championship Edition, GT1”. Only 600 units will be produced and we have both the #9 and #23 of 600.

The 2009 Chevrolet Corvette 2dr GT1 Championship Edition features a 6.2L V8 430 horsepower SFI OHV. The cars are made in one of two color combinations with Black Raven and Velocity Yellow. Mr. Mike Yermack has been with our dealership for almost 7 years and is consistently a top salesperson and leader on our sales force. Many of Mike’s clients are referrals from previous customers that trust him enough to take care of their friends and family. It is an infrequent occurrence when we can come together as a community and be proud to stand behind and American Icon. On May 2, 2009 the team at Hendrick Chevrolet Cadillac had the distinct pleasure of unveiling the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro. This vehicle has embodied the ingenious that is American car designing. The heritage behind this car brings us back to an older, easier time, while the styling and performance remind us of yesteryear it is, in fact a 2010 and Chevrolet is moving into the future.

This car we displayed was unique and special as it is the #2 car. It was in fact the second car off the assembly line and is owned by Mr. Hendrick. This car came to our beloved Mr. H by way of the famous Barrett-Jackson Auction and was won during a charity event.

During our event we hosted as many as 600 people. Some drove from as far away as Asheville NC and Charleston SC and we are proud and thankful for everyone who took the time to come and spend their Saturday with us. In addition to the debut of the 2010 Camaro we also enjoyed more than 100 classic and show cars.

It was truly special for all of our team to share in the food and activities with our customers, friends and community.

Tony Stewart to Drive for Hendrick Motorsports!

We have great news for all you Nascar fans! Two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart will attempt to qualify a Number 80 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet prepared by Hendrick Motorsports for the Feb. 14 Nationwide Series race at Daytona International Speedway.

Stewart, the defending winner of the Camping World 300, has won the season-opening event three times -- twice with owner Kevin Harvick (2005 and 2006) and once with Joe Gibbs (2008).

Should he qualify, the race will mark Stewart’s first-ever start for car owner Rick Hendrick. The effort will be led by 2003 Nationwide Series champion crew chief Lance McGrew.

“After winning the season-opening Nationwide Series race at Daytona three times, we’re going to try and get another one, this time for Rick,” said Stewart, who has seven career Nationwide Series victories. “Hopefully we can go back-to-back for a second time and put the HendrickCars.com Chevrolet in Victory Lane. Rick and I have been friends for years, so it would mean a lot to me to get a win for him.”

As a car owner, Hendrick has 13 total NASCAR victories at Daytona, including three in the Nationwide Series. He has won the prestigious Daytona 500 six times.

Helpful tips for your tires!

How do you know if you need new tires?
Tire wear depends on several factors, including your driving style and tire maintenance habits. Wrong size load and speed rating can void your warranty. But one sure way to know when to replace your tires is when treadwear indicators appear. A tire's built-in treadwear indicators are "wear bars" that look like narrow strips of smooth rubber across the tread and appear when it's time to replace the tire.
You also need a new tire if:
You can see three or more treadwear indicators around the tire
Cord or fabric is showing through the rubber
The tread or sidewall is cracked, cut or snagged deep enough to show cord or fabric
The tire has a bulge or split
The tire has a puncture, cut, or other damage that can't be repaired correctly

Another service that can improve the life of your tires is filling them with Nitrogen. Nitrogen in tires is becoming a popular replacement for standard air. Nitrogen is all around us-- the air we breathe is 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen and the rest is small amounts of other gasses. When it comes to tire inflation, nitrogen has many advantages over oxygen. With nitrogen tire inflation, improvements can be noted in a vehicle's handling, fuel efficiency and tire life through better tire pressure retention, improved fuel economy and cooler running tire temperatures.

15th Annual Carolina Renaissance Festival

Festival In The Park

It's Family… It's Art… and It's Free. The 44th annual Festival in the Park, held in Freedom Park near uptown Charlotte begins on Thursday, September 18th and continues through Sunday, September 21st, 2008.

Since 1964, Festival in the Park has been bringing good music, good art and good times to Charlotteans and visitors from around the world. The sounds of "big band music" drift across Freedom Park's lake whose still surface reflects the lights strung from Camelot exhibit tents.

This fun filled event is designed to promote and stimulate interest in the arts. It provides the opportunity for all to see, hear, and learn from over 150 artists and crafts people who actively demonstrate and display their art. Nearly a thousand entertainers provide free ongoing performances at the main band shell and many stages surrounding it.

Festival in the Park has been chosen as one of Sunshine Artists Magazine's 200 BEST festivals. Over 100,000 visitors are estimated to have attended the 2007 Festival in the Park.
