Barrow Pool Closure - Sunday 6 July

Due to problems with the Humphrey Perkins School Pool at Barrow upon Soar, there will be no training this Sunday - 6 July.

This was to have been the last Sunday training session before the Summer closure.

Training sessions will start again at Barrow on Sunday 31 August.

Time Trials - Sunday 6 April

The results of the Time Trials held on Sunday 6 April can be viewed here.

These times will form the base point for qualification for the Phil Johnson Trophy.

This trophy is awarded to the swimmer with the biggest aggregate improvement over all four strokes (Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly & Freestyle) before November 2008.
Swimmers must record a time in each of the four strokes at least twice during the year, unless a time has already been recorded in a previous year.
Where a faster time has previously been recorded for a particular stroke, this will be used as the base point.

Roundhill Pool Re-opens

Roundhill Pool has re-opened following completion of repairs to the bolier.

Belgrave Learn to Swim sessions will start again from Friday 14 March.

Please note that Roundhill Pool will be closed over the school Easter holidays on the following dates:

Monday 24 March ~ Roundhill (Easter Monday)
Friday 28 March ~ Roundhill

Humphrey Perkins - Construction Work - Access to Pool

Construction work has started on the new Sports Hall at Humphrey Perkins School.

This means that the pool will not be accessible via the normal route, nor will it be possible to park on the car park at the back of the school.

For the duration of the works, please use the car park area in front of the school hall / community centre entrance.

Access to the pool is now via the gate & steps located between the school hall & the original school building. Keep the safety fencing to your right & follow it round to the rear of the school buildings. (Blue line on map, the red areas are out of bounds)

Roundhill Pool - Temporary Closure

We have been advised that there has been a delay in obtaining the spare parts needed to repair the boiler.

A further notice will be posted when a reopening date is confirmed.

Cossington Street Pool Reopens

Cossington Street Pool has now reopened following £250,000 of work to upgrade the shower and changing areas.

Belgrave Swimming Club sessions return to Cossington Street at 7.30pm on Friday 22 February.

We look forward to seeing you all back at our home pool.

Roundhill Pool - Temporary Closure - Boiler Problems

We have been advised by Roundhill Community College that due to problems with the Boiler, the pool will be closed until further notice.

There will therefore be no Learn to Swim sessions on Friday 22 February or Monday 25 February onwards until further notice.

As a reminder, Cossington Street Pool has now reopened. Swimmers that have been training at Roundhill in the 7.30pm or later sessions should go to Cossington Street this Friday - 22 February - at either 7.30pm or 8.15pm as previously advised.

February Half Term Closures

Barrow Pool Closure - Repairs

We have now been advised that Humphrey Perkins Pool, Barrow upon Soar will not reopen until Monday 15 October following the latest repairs.

There is no training on Sunday 21 October at the start of half term.

The next training session at Barrow will take place on Sunday 28 October.

Barrow Closed 30 September ~ 200m Butterfly ~ Postponed

Due to heating problems, Humphrey Perkins School Pool at Barrow is temporarily closed.

It will not therefore be possible to run the 200m Butterfly competition as planned this Sunday, 30 September. A revised date will be arranged in due course.

Please also note there will be no normal training on Sunday either.
