The United States has 5% of the world's population, and consumes 25% of its resources. Maybe a truly egalitarian/social justice view of the body would consider this grossly unfair? Or maybe, given that human societies are simply a larger-scale version of a natural system like the body, it is not so surprising that the world could have evolved to this state of affairs.
