We send them from an early age to school everyday with the hope of them receiving a good education. In the beginning of this educational process they learn the basics such as reading, writing, math and so forth. As they continue through this educational process they begin to study such things as history, science, and algebra. Certainly, it is important to understand the basics of science, art, mathematics, history and the like. This is not an argument against any of that, but rather it is an argument for a properbalance in the training they receive that is supposed to be settingthem up for life! The majority of all children attends public schools that more or less follows the same curriculum. As a one time student myself I often think about all the things that I was taught in school and I would honestly say that over 50 percent of it has been useless in my adult life.Parents I encourage you to realize that if you really want your children to properly be prepare for adult life, don’t expect the school system to be their preparers. As a parent myself I now see how I fail my children in their preparation. You know that in the USA there are more poor people that finished high school then any other country in the world. So what would that say about just receiving a high school education? I know many people would say that this is a argument for higher education institutes, but in reality 4 more years of education still won't prepare our children right, it might assist them in finding a job. But honestly most students cannot afford to attend college and by the time their minds are fill with the useless stuff that is being taught in high school wouldn’t have the desire to attend if they could afford it.In conclusion let me say that the USA was built and is mantain on the way our educational system works, so do not expect it to change from it present state. If you want the best for your children it is strictly up to you.

Nothing from Nothing Leaves Nothing

Understanding the above saying is one of the biggest keys in having positive results in our lives.
At one time in my life I was the type of person that would sit around a lot and just day dream about how I would like my life to be, I would think about the job I would like to have, the money that I would want to have in my procession and so on. I would think wouldn’t it be great if things could be different. That may be the position of some of you that are reading this article right now. If so, let me tell you what I decided to do in my situation. The first thing that I did was to realize that if I didn’t take some form of action things would remain the same. I begin to explore opportunities into how I could change myself; ways that I could start to better my life. At this time I have made many steps towards knowing that I am in control of my situation and only by taking action can I expect to progress forward. And what I also want you to realize is that, if you don’t have nothing you want get nothing by just doing nothing.

How to Build Wealth When You're in Massive Debt

By William R. Patterson
Whenever the topic of finance is discussed, it is important to note that everyone's situation is different and that financial advice should be tailored to an individual's particular circumstances with the help of a professional advisor.
Debt is a scary place to be; it is emotionally and financially threatening. It limits our ability to meet daily expenses, invest for the future, and creates a long chain of financial difficulties. The strains put on our relationships due to these financial pressures make it imperative that we find ways to effectively deal with debt. Like all problems, it will dangerously compound if we ignore it, so we must confront it head on to positively change the condition of our lives.
Permanently resolving our debt situation involves three things: gaining an awareness of the different types of debt, understanding the psychology and circumstances that led to the current situation, and devising an effective debt reduction, savings, and wealth acquisition plan.
Put simply, debt falls into two categories: investment debt and consumer debt
Investment debt is an obligation that one takes on in order to free up funds, generate cash flow, and build wealth. It is the leverage of other people's money (OPM) to purchase assets that substantially increase in value or produce income. A few examples of investment debt include mortgages for rental properties, business loans, and stock margin loans. The best forms of investment debt produce positive cash flow. When debt produces positive cash flow, it generates more money to invest and does not reduce your existing income.
Consumer debt is a financial commitment used to purchase items that have no substantial resale value or depreciate after they are bought. Examples of consumer debt include: automobile loans, personal loans, personal lines of credit, credit card debt, and more. It can be wise to buy an item using consumer credit, if the after-tax return on your investments is greater than the interest rate on your debt. With this approach, you have more money available to invest at a higher rate of return. This is a riskier strategy and should only be employed by sophisticated investors. It is also important to note that one person's consumer debt is another's investment debt. The money one expends servicing debt goes to help another build their wealth. Over time, your goal should be to turn the tables.
The Psychology of Debt
To change your financial condition, you must understand the factors that have led you into debt and position yourself so that you will never return to similar circumstances. Common expenditures leading to excessive debt include automobile purchases, education expenses, vacations, gambling, medical expenses, unsuccessful business ventures, and the frequent purchases of consumer goods and services.
In general, we must become better planners and begin to stop thinking of debt as the first solution to our problems. If our debt situation stems from overspending, we must address the emotional state that drives us to live beyond our means. If it is due to unsuccessful business ventures, we must learn to move our enterprise forward through stock offerings, or creative means like partnerships and the bartering of services. If it is from necessary expenditures or emergencies then we must develop the discipline to create special savings accounts and cash reserves. Once we change the way we think about debt, we are prepared to implement life-changing solutions.
The most expedient way to deal with debt is through a two-tier approach of budgeting and investing.
Begin your financial turnaround by writing down the monthly payment, interest rate, and total amount owed for each of your debts. Once you know where you stand with each of your creditors, attempt to lower your interest rates. This involves calling your creditors and asking for lower rates, transferring balances to lower interest rate credit cards, or more aggressive tactics such as home refinancing, to turn liabilities into lower interest-bearing, tax-deductible debt.
Next, create a realistic budget and eliminate unnecessary expenses. Take any free cash flow and use it to pay more toward your highest interest, non-tax deductible debt. On all other debt, pay only the minimum. Do this every month until that particular high-rate debt is paid off. Once that account has a zero balance, use the money you normally would have expended on your monthly debt payment, plus any free cash flow, to pay toward your next highest interest rate debt. Continue this process until all your debt is paid off.
It is important to note that if you have savings, you should use it to pay down your highest interest rate non-tax deductible debt. It makes more sense to pay off debt at interest rates of 12-30%, than earn less than 2% interest in a money market or savings account. Also, remember the interest rate on your debt is equivalent to the after-tax return on an investment. So, if you are not outperforming on an after-tax basis the interest rate being charged on your debt, it is more advantageous to pay off your debt.
The second aspect of your debt transformation involves investing. In order to effectively manage and overcome your debt, make investments that have a return that outweighs the interest rate on your obligation or that generates cash flow in excess of your monthly debt payment. Because investing can be rather complicated and volatile, it is important that you have as much education as possible in this area. Your first thought may be, "I don't know much about investing, and I don't have the time to learn." Well, you must decide if you are willing to make the time, or choose to work the rest of your life to pay off your financial commitments. Budgeting alone is a much slower solution, so you would be wise to develop a mastery of investing or partner with people who possess such knowledge in order to expedite the process. Seeking the advice of competent professionals is a sound way to shorten your learning curve and prevent costly mistakes. If you encounter an emergency during this period, you may use your credit accounts as your cash reserve.
There are many strategies for investing your way out of debt. Some include starting or investing in businesses and buying assets that appreciate in value or generate cash flow. The issue becomes, how do you take advantage of opportunities with little cash and poor credit? The answer to most questions of lack is through partnerships. Though we may not view ourselves as entrepreneurs, we all have viable business ideas inside us. It is up to us to develop those ideas and approach enough people until we find partners who believe in us and are willing to finance or actively participate in our venture. For those who like the idea of owning their own business, but not the hard work it takes to develop one from scratch, there are a number of direct sales organizations that will provide you with business opportunities for low startup up costs and lots of guidance. All of these add up to ways of generating excess cash flow to help pay off your debts and build wealth.
The mentality that created your current financial situation will not suffice to solve your debt issues. For most, the financial difficulties we face have taken years to develop, so they will not be solved overnight. As much as we would like to believe, there are no incantations or magical formulas for ridding ourselves of financial obligations, only the disciplined strategies of sound money management and investing. We must remember to deal with the issues that drove us into debt before attempting to implement any strategy. If we do not start with our own thought process, any plan of action will not be effective in the long-run and may put us in a worse financial position. To transform our lives, we must change the way we think about finance and obligations. On the occasions that we do use debt, it should be for the purpose of buying assets, not consumer goods that depreciate or have no value.
William R. One needs to attain peace and calmness in the mind in order to encourage positive thoughts.
Normally one finds it very difficult to manage and control the mind. Sometimes, one may feel that the mind is similar to a balloon, blown by the wind, taken to any direction and circumstance the wind takes it. When things come out well, the mind is contented, but when things go badly, instantly the mind becomes very unhappy.
Because the mind and one’s emotions are connected, a disturbance in one will distract the coordination and harmony of the two. For instance, when one gets the result or the relationship that he wants, such as a partner, a job promotion or a new car, one bonds to it very tightly.
However, because often, these possessions and relationships are uncontrollable, the moment that one is separated from all these causes so much pain. And all the negative emotions causes chaos.
Such mood fluctuations arise for the main reason that one is closely attached with the outside situation. However, when the mind is relaxed, one makes an inner room and clearness which enables one to control and manage the mind despite the external situation.
Gradually one develops mental balance, which is a state of the mind that is happy and positive always; confused mind moves back and forth between the intemperance of despondency and excitement.
In meditation, one can achieve a peaceful and calm mind that is free of worries and anxiety, so one can experience happiness, encouraging and attracting positive behavior; a chaotic mind, only attracts negative feelings and behavior, therefore it is a barrier to setting and achieving goals.
With a chaotic mind one will have a hard time experiencing happiness, even when one is already in the best of circumstances. Constant meditation trains the mind to gradually be more and more cheerful and peaceful, eventually experience balance and happiness, being able to stay positive even in the most complicated or worst situations. This is a state of mind that is very crucial to achieving success.
The mind is like a station, sending out energy or power signals (your beliefs and thoughts). These energy and power patterns are then grasped by the subconscious mind that is responsible for creating the circumstances, situations and events to assist one in achieving what one’s beliefs, thoughts and goals are.
The subconscious mind never distinguishes what is bad or good for you; it only acts on what instructions it receives from the conscious mind, meaning what your thoughts and beliefs are.
So while there is that desire in you that you want to accomplish a certain goal, if you do not truly believe and truly trust that will be able to, if you, with your chaotic mind constantly think about the reason why you can not achieve something rather than why it will be easy for you to do it, then you will be sending instruction to your “subconscious mind” to establish certain circumstances in which it will be difficult for you to accomplish your goals.
This is the reason why negative thoughts should be eliminated and only entertain positive thoughts, all the time.Constant positive affirmations likewise attract positive situations, and influence the subconscious to create a situation favorable to you. Affirmations are positive thoughts spoken with great trust, faith and absolute power that what you say, you will accomplish.
Remember, first and foremost to keep a focused mind and never entertain negative thoughts. However, should a negative thought enter your mind, block it off with positive thinking and never, never affirm it. For like the chaotic mind, verbal affirmations can greatly affect your attitude towards accomplishing your goals.
Never be a prisoner of the chaos in your mind. Release all those hurts, frustration and anger that you feel deep inside. Look at the world in a different point of view and believe that you can accomplish anything as long as you have faith in you that you can.
There is no success in chaos, and chaos will not lead to success. It is balancing the mind, releasing all stress that the mind feels, letting go of all negative thoughts and making a clear image of the life that you want to live, can there be success. NLP Secrets

Beware the Closed Mind

Success in its broadest meaning is not limited to only monetary and material possessions. It reveals as being plentiful in countless and several forms in life and nature.

The universal spirit of consciousness, craves to continuously manifest and express itself; this power likewise expresses its longing to demonstrate success, which is naturally wanting to develop, to grow and become bigger and stronger.

However, many realize this longing and natural inclination for growth repressed in them, because of negative thinking, unconstructive programming, and not having enough faith in their abilities and themselves.

Every individual has dual natures. One wants the self to move forward while the other feels like pulling back. The one nature that one concentrates and cultivates on determines what one is at the final end, as both natures tries to hold and to be in control.

One’s “will” resolves the issue alone. An individual by one utmost attempt of the “will” can change one’s whole vocation and accomplish miracles. Which is why having an open mind is very significant.

One having a closed mind grasps to a concept without much concern for evidence. They might have even reached at their concept without supporting material evidence. As a result, when one is presented with evidence that is contradicting to their concept, they immediately dismiss it.

Whereas one having an open mind before reaching any conclusion, considers first the many evidences approving or disapproving the many interpretations of the concept. They do not just gather information. Their concern encourages them to weigh what they have learned and work towards reaching a decision or conclusion based on facts and evidences.

An open mind allows one to magnetize opportunities and insist and continue on following opportunities, regardless of how small they appear. An open mind is open to all opportunities and possibilities, big or small.

A closed mind however, is stubborn, wanting what the mind envisions without any delay and wanting it as exactly as what the mind perceived it to be, not willing to accept or try something else in its place, when that which the mind has envisioned can not be accomplished or reached.

When one closes his mind and becomes stubborn, one in essence tells his higher self, including the “powers of the universe” that one is not eager to mature and encounter new things, so then there will be no progress and no transformation and things in one’s life will never have a chance to improve.

Whatever the mind can envision, the mind can create. What the mind sees believes feels and thinks are all conveyed to the subconscious mind that then works along with the universal forces and establishes your reality centered on the visualization of the conscious mind.

Bear in mind though, that it is not sufficient to merely imagine and hope it materializes. Having the power to imagine means also having the power and the capability to work on it to achieve it.

You can achieve it when you open up your mind to success and get rid of limiting thoughts. As to how restricted your life may be and what the circumstances present you at the moment does not really matter, because when you decide to change your attitudes and thoughts, and begin to think without notable limitations, your life’s direction will begin to change.

Focus on possibilities, rather than limitations and expand your thoughts to what is that you believe as yourself.

Here are guidelines on how to program your thoughts for success:

1. Continuously and abundantly display images of your “model” persons, whom you want to become, and things that you want to accomplish. Read magazines containing stories and pictures of lives that you wish to attain.

2. Read autobiographies of successful people. Constantly read self-progress materials packed with examples and ideas of women and men who had set goals, overcome hardships and misfortunes and accomplished what they aimed for in the end.

3. Always affirm yourself. In each undertaking, take the time to focus, “close your eyes” and set a clear mental image of the outcome. Then repeatedly say and claim that you have already achieved it.

4. Nourish your mind with positive thoughts before sleeping, after waking up, at lunch break, anytime. Do not give a chance for negative thoughts to enter into your mind.

Thoughts hold great power. Be conscious of the thoughts that comes into your mind; let the positive in, never entertain the negative. Open up your mind to possibilities and never be afraid to try; if you fail, take it as an opportunity that you have learned so much from failing and try again.

Begin a new journey with NLP Secrets

If Jesus Christ Was Proven To Be a Black Man

For many years any association with Jesus Christ have portrayed him as white in color and for most Christian this has been an acceptable portrayal. I was born and raised in the United States of America and for the majority of my life I have consider myself to be of the Christian faith which makes me a follower of the teachings of Jesus Christ. One of the most important teachings that were express by Jesus was that we love each other.

Getting back to the title of this article, the United States along has one of the largest Christian faith structures in the world. There are millions of followers of Jesus Christ here of all nationality and colors. I often think what if it was proven that Jesus was proven beyond a shadow of a doubt to be a black man what would happen to Christianity here in the United States. Would religion of the Christian belief in the United States change from how we now know it? My belief of this would be yes, it shouldn’t, but I know in my heart that it would.

I know that this article is a sore subject in the mind of many but each of us know ourselves and our beliefs. So I would like each one of you think about this and leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

You Can Only Count on YOU!

Here is an article that I would like to share with you my readers. The writer is one of my favorite authors.

My dear friend, Greg Joseph, told me years ago, "There is only one person you can trust in this world... yourself." I got very frustrated with this remark until he fully explained what he meant. He told me that if you trust yourself and your inner guidance then you will always be on track. He didn't mean that other people were untrustworthy. It's just that everyone is attracting through their own focus and perception. Trust your wisdom and you'll always be led down a perfect path.
Today his advice couldn't be more important. Here in the United States, many people have been focused on the chaos in the real estate and mortgage worlds. The economy has been a huge focus in the presidential campaigns. Now we have huge companies going bankrupt and the government is doing their best (this fact would be up for debate by many!) to smooth things out. Where has your focus been when it comes to a down economy? Are you bracing for the worst? When your family, friends and clients speak to you from a place of panic, what do you tell them?
It's easy to jump into fear with the masses when times are tough. It happens with natural disasters and terrorism, too. We imagine the worst. We empathize with the people who are most impacted. We feeeeel horrible!
I'd like to offer you a way to jump out of the fear and into certainty. It goes back to trusting yourself. If you are always creating your reality by giving your focus to a topic, then focus on what you want, not what is unwanted. Focusing on the worst that could happen is not really making your situation better anyway. Decide what is that you DO want. You cannot intend for the rest of the world but you can impact your situation. You can also be a soother to your family, friends and clients. By soothing their fears, it will be easier for them to come back to their inner guidance and impact their situations from a more powerful perspective.
Yes, there are facts happening out the world that aren't so pretty. But let those facts motivate you to do what you can to create a better situation for yourself and others. Educate yourself about what solutions are possible. Go with the choices that feel good to you. Above and beyond all else, trust yourself and your decisions. Be the person that lands feet on the ground, shoulders back and smiling.
(C) 2008 MasterPeace Coaching
WANT TO USE THIS ARTICLE IN YOUR E-ZINE, BLOG OR WEB SITE? Do it again. Slowly...in and out.
Now imagine that the money you've been wanting is like a long lost lover. There is an emotional connection between you. You've been separated due to some past decisions. You've lost touch and you've now come to the realization that you want this lover back in your life.
You may feel like finding your money is like looking for a needle in a haystack. But just like in the movies, it can have a happy ending. Your money is looking for you, just as you are looking for it. It wants to be with you forever. All you have to do is let it in the door.
You see, it's been knocking and you've been afraid to answer. You've been afraid that it will tease you. You think it'll come in your life and then disappear again. Or you might think you're not worthy of it yet, needing to struggle a bit more. You may think it's just simply too good to be true.
Are you ready to decide that your beloved money is for real? That it will be loyal to you if you give it chance? Your money wants to serve you. It sees you as worthy right now.
You see, this process is very real. If you decide to feel worthy of more money in your life and you literally put out the "Welcome" mat, it will show up. It is Law.
The decision is all up to you. You either let it in or you don't. You either focus on it being missing from your life or you allow it in, with your arms open and ready to receive.
You'll have to put a pause button on the worrying, concerns, stress and debating about money. This includes all things money related: your job or business, your mate's income, how you spend your money, your future plans, your investments, what other people are making or spending, etc. You've got to stop tripping yourself up with your doubts. There is no logic in worrying, therefore it is not helpful to do so.
Your wealth is depending on you to simply open up. It wants you as much as you want it. Decide. If there is any more action you have to do to let it in, you'll know. It will become very clear to you and you won't be figuring it out. You know what they call that, right? Yes, it's inspired action. It's all fun and games from that point.
(C) 2008 MasterPeace Coaching
WANT TO USE THIS ARTICLE IN YOUR E-ZINE, BLOG OR WEB SITE? This nation amplified great power, wealth, and democracy throughout its land.
The nation that I am talking about is the great Roman Empire.

The reason for my writing this article at this time is because I would like to discuss some of the causes that led to the fall of such a great nation. At the beginning of Roman Empire there was both an Eastern and Western Roman Empire. After years of civil wars the western empire lost its status and fell. Now after becoming the dominant power of the Roman Empire the Eastern Empire over time began a downward spiral of destruction within itself. It became an empire that was divided among itself, its main ruler became a figurehead only, and it became a country that was dependent on its military above all else.

The Roman Empire was a nation that was built on a rotten system from its inception, after some time they became a nation of moral decay, there was an unsound economic policy, a monetary system that was always on the verge of collapse and towards its end it begin an attempt to conquer there neighboring countries in order to acquire their supplies because of depletion of their own.

Let me ask you, do the Roman Empire sound like another great nation that you might be familiar with? This being an election year for the Presidency of the United States of America, I ask myself does it really matter who takes over that position. We are a country that is now divided among itself, our nominees are fighting each other tooth and nail for control of a failing system. For centuries the United States has mark on all of its currency God Bless America. I now believe that it is time to change that to God Help America.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming

Each of us happen to possess in our skulls, the most sophisticated computers ever conceived of and no one thought to provide instructions. No wonder changing how we do the simplest task, often meets with failure. If you climbed behind the wheel of a car for the very first time and had no instructions to guide you, how far do you think you'd get before driving into a ditch or up a telephone pole? So, how do NLPer's create the knowledge necessary to learn how to operate our own minds?Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) studies the structure of how humans think and experience the world. Obviously, the structure of something so subjective does not lend itself to precise, statistical formulae but instead leads to models of how these things work. From these models, techniques for quickly and effectively changing thoughts, behaviors and beliefs that limit you have been developed. Many of the models in NLP were created by studying people who did things exquisitely well. Let's use something called sub modalities as an example of how a model works. By understanding how we perceive the world through our five senses, we can then understand how some people can respond very resourcefully in a situation and others do not. Once you learn how those who remain resourceful set up their representations, then it's a simple matter to teach others to do the same thing.I highly recommend you continue your investigation of how NLP can enhance all aspects of your life from improving your relationships with loved ones, learning to teach effectively, gaining a stronger sense of self esteem, greater motivation, better understanding of communication, enhancing your business or career. Also they have been living this way for so long that even if they are not satisfied with the way their life is going, they have learn to just accept it. I believe that if individuals were to look and realize the uncertainty that living this way could bring, there would be no comfort in continuing to accept certain conditions in their lives. Over the months we have heard of major companies closing ,foreclosures and other economical problems. I would encourage you all to find ways to prepare yourselves for the coming times. Some ways would be to begin a saving account, evaluating your skill level, and watching your spending. These are just a view ideals, but there are many. I loved to take her to do things she wouldn't treat herself to experiencing and whatever else I could do to make her life easier. But I have to tell you, she made it hard. She was not good at receiving with joy. She tried to pay me back for whatever money I'd spend, even if I picked her up a carton of milk. I used to get frustrated and eventually I just learned to laugh. I knew it was her belief of her own worthiness, stubbornness and pride.
Grandma Frances also had this habit of feeling guilty when someone went out of their way for her. Now, none of her reactions to receiving love, assistance and money did her any good. In fact, it stopped more abundance from coming her way. She was grateful and resistant at the same to time to receiving from other people. She was also the same person who would complain if her family didn't visit her enough. Ah, the contrast!
I have a little bit of my grandmother's emotional response to receiving inside of me. In the last two weeks I've had two beautiful parties thrown for me in honor of my baby that is due on Labor Day, Sept. 1, 2008 (pretty funny, huh? Labor Day!) . I felt a bit odd that the hosts of the parties, Eva Gregory and my Godmother, we're going to all of this effort and expense on my behalf. I was thrilled with being the guest of honor and at the same time guilty for receiving their generosity. That didn't feel good!
I thought I was good at receiving before this last month. But I discovered I had conditional receiving skills. I'm cool if you want to buy me dinner, give me amazing service at a great price or for free, give me coaching or consulting or help me move. But if someone wants to spend more than a certain amount of money or time on me, I get a bit uncomfortable. I had to figure out what that was about because it didn't feel good and I knew it was putting a kink in my line of prosperity.
It became clear that there were two reasons I wasn't at ease with receiving abundantly from others. The first is that I was afraid they might think I wasn't grateful and think ill of me. Secondly, they might resent all the effort they were putting forth and think ill of me. Bottom line: fear of rejection. Oh my! Me?! Yep.
Generally when someone is talking about attraction principles and receiving, they mean being in an allowing state. You are expecting to have your intentions met and relaxing into that truth. When you are in "receiving mode" you will feel aligned with well being and knowing that you are worthy of ALL good things that come your way. You will take responsibility for attracting both the positive and negative experiences in your life.
If I attract all that comes to me, then I attracte people wanting to celebrate me and my blessed event. I can accept the abundance and enjoy it fully knowing I am worthy. This opens me up to more good stuff. Bring it on, Universe!
Inquiry: Are there places in your life where you can open up more fully to receiving from others? How much generosity can you stand? How much are you willing to let people assist you?
(C) 2008 MasterPeace Coaching
WANT TO USE THIS ARTICLE IN YOUR E-ZINE, BLOG OR WEB SITE? This assumption is both right and wrong. It is right because when you are happy, you usually have happy thoughts in you mind. You have a positive outlook and your mood is generally elevated. Your outlook on life is one of hope and abundance.
I started by saying the assumption that happiness is a state of mind is both right and wrong. How can it be wrong? If it were just a state of mind, you should be able to will yourself happy at anytime? You should be able to go through life with an eternal smile upon your face, just by willing yourself to be that way. Logically, this does not make sense.
When you have some tragedy befall you in life, you will feel emotions such as sadness, despair, fear or anger. It is not possible to just feel happy. Have you ever heard someone say, Stop being depressed, just be happy. So while, happiness is part of the equation, it is not the whole equation. There must be something more.
What I propose is that happiness is a state of BEING. This has to do with perception. You mind constantly gathers information about it environment through your physical senses. Your perception of sight does not exist in your eye it exists in your mind. Your brain takes electrical impulses and translates them to sensory information.
The next thing that your mind does is evaluate that information. Is it a good sensation? A bad sensation? Does the smell of cookies unlock a memory of childhood? It is our perceptions of our environment that elicit certain emotions. These perceptions are unique to the individual.
For instance, suppose the smell of cookies makes you think of home and the holidays. It can be a positive emotion such as happiness that can occur. But let us suppose that it reminds you of your grandmother, who recently passed away. The same sensation can create a feeling of loss and sadness.
If you can change your perception of the world into a positive one, then you can unlock sustaining happiness. Sure, there are moments in life that do not make us happy. If you exist in a state of happiness, other emotions such as sadness will not be so deep and enduring. You will return to your state of happiness much quicker if you cultivate it.
As I am writing this, I am reminded of the monks in Tibet. They spend their entire life, living in a state of happiness and contentment. When you see pictures of the Dali Llama he is usually smiling. If you know anything about the situation in China right now, there are plenty of things for the monks to be afraid of, yet they pray and continue in a state of happiness.
For most of us, meditating and praying all day may not be possible, however when you have moments that can be filled with these things, then you shift towards enduring happiness can occur. Take a few moments each day and think about all the things that you are thankful for. Hold these images in your mind and bask in their glow. Even as the images fade, the feeling will continue to exist in your heart.
(C) 2008 Leading Edge Coaching
" Photographer: Agency: Dreamstime.com"
See Eva's Blog: Law of Attraction In Action with Eva

PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS

Article written
by Eva Gregory, CPCC

With International Happiness Day quickly approaching, it made me think about our right to be happy. In the United States Constitution is the right to pursue happiness. I think this is a noble idea, but if that were true why does it seem that some many people are having such a hard time finding it?
If we are pursuing happiness, that means that it must exist somewhere outside ourselves. In this scenario, our life is a treasure hunt, always trying to find that elusive happiness. We have a general idea of what happiness will be like when we find it. We base this feeling upon our experiences; Christmas morning, birthday parties, our first kiss and our wedding day. We can remember how wonderful it felt to be happy.
The truth is that a person can go through a whole life - birth to death - looking for happiness. They can think that it will always be around the next corner. When they get that new job or some other life changing event occurs, happiness seems to be elusive. It is not how they imagined the prize to be and they continue to pursue happiness.
As International Happiness Day grows closer I wanted to let you in on a secret so that you can totally appreciate what this day is all about. Happiness is not something to be pursued. You already have it. It was given to as a gift the day you were born. You experienced it the first time when you gazed upon your mothers face for the first time.
Happiness exists within each of us. So if there is any pursuit, it is an inward journey. It is waiting within your heart. Some people miss this point when they are pursuing their goal in life. They think that if they get that new car, or larger house that these things hold the final key to their happiness. While these goals are wonderful pursuits and may make a person feel good accomplishing them, they must have unlocked happiness from within.
Can people be truly happy at any point in their life’s journey? Absolutely! Since happiness is something that is contained within you, no one can take it away from you. You can give it away and share it with others, but it never is truly used up. It just fills back up within your soul.
So how can people access this happiness? Part of the key is memories. To remember what it feels like to be happy can bring that feeling in the present. When you close your eyes and think of some event in your past that made you feel blissful, you will find a smile will form on your face automatically.
The other part of the key to unlock happiness is living in the moment. You must live in the NOW. Many things can happen tomorrow or may have even happened yesterday, but you are living right now in this moment. As you focus on the immediate moment, you can create a happy moment. You can CHOOSE to be happy. When you can be in the moment, you can access your right to be happy.

I hope that you will celebrate International Happiness Day. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house-building business and live a more leisurely life with his wife, enjoying his extended family. He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire. They could get by.The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor.

The carpenter said yes, but in time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end his career. When the carpenter finished his work and the builder came to inspect the house, the contractor handed the front-door key to the carpenter."This is your house," he said, "my gift to you."What a shock! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it so differently. Now he had to live in the home he had built none too well.So it is with us.

We build our lives in a distracted way, reacting rather than acting, willing to put up less than the best. At important points we do not give the job our best effort. Then with a shock we look at the situation we have created and find that we are now living in the house we have built. If we had realized it, we would have done it differently.Think of yourself as the carpenter.

Think about your house. Each day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Build wisely. It's the only life you will ever build. Even if you live it for only one day more, that day deserves to be lived graciously and with dignity. The plaque on the wall says, "Life is a do-it-yourself project."Who could say it more clearly? Your life today is the result of your attitudes and choices in the past. Your life tomorrow will be the result of your attitudes and the choices you make today.

Some Things Happen For A Reason

Here is a short spiritual article that I like to read when things sometimes take a turn for the worse.

The Castaway and the Fire
-- Author Unknown

The only survivor of a shipwreck washed up on a small,
uninhabited island. He asked
the young girl who worked there about a thermos, saying "What
does this do?"

The girl replied that the thermos would "keep hot things hot, and
cold things cold." The farmer thought he could find a use for it,
so he bought it.

A week later the farmer brought the thermos into the store
and angrily said, "It doesn't work!" "You said this would keep
hot things hot and cold things cold, and it doesn't do it."

The employee asked patiently, "Well, what did you put in it?"

"A cup of coffee and a popsicle," replied the farmer.

The lesson of this story is that sometimes you have to choose
one or the other. The bank's offices were situated high up in the South Tower at the World Trade Center. Rescorla was convinced that Osama Bin Laden would use jet planes to try and destroy the World Trade Center. The plan and its preparation were hugely unpopular with the Morgan Stanley staff, many of whom thought Rescorla was mad.
"On September 11, 2001, American Airlines Flight 11 hit World Trade Center Tower 1 at 8:46 am. Rick R! escorla ignored building officials' advice to stay put and began the orderly evacuation of Morgan Stanley's 2,800 employees on 20 floors of World Trade Center Tower 2, and 1,000 employees in WTC 5. Rescorla reminded everyone to 'be proud to be an American … everyone will be talking about you tomorrow,' and sang God Bless America and other songs over his bullhorn to help evacuees stay calm as they left the building. Rescorla had most of Morgan Stanley's 2800 employees as well as people working on other floors of WTC 2 safely out of the buildings by the time United Airlines Flight 175 hit WTC 2 at 9:07 a.m.
"After having reached safety, Rescorla returned to the building to rescue others still inside. He was last seen heading up the stairs of the tenth floor of the collapsing WTC 2. His remains were not recovered. As a result of Rescorla's actions, only six of Morgan Stanley's 2800 WTC employees were killed on September 11th, 2001, including Rick and three of his deputies who followed him back into the building.
"The remainder of this very moving broadcast focused on Morgan Stanley Bank employees who, now in tears, were praising and acknowledging Rick Rescorla for having saved their lives from total destruction that day. Many felt so guilty and apologetic [because] they had thought Rick foolish to keep preaching and standing for what he believed would happen if they were not ready. Those interviewed said they would never forget Rick Rescorla. He was their hero.

Cosmic Ordering

Have you heard of COSMIC ORDERING?
It's a POWERFUL method of placing an "order" with the Universe for ANYTHING you want. No wonder changing how we do the simplest task, often meets with failure.
If you climbed behind the wheel of a car for the very first time and had no instructions to guide you, how far do you think you'd get before driving into a ditch or up a telephone pole?
So, how do NLPer's create the knowledge necessary to learn how to operate our own minds?
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) studies the structure of how humans think and experience the world.
Once you learn how those who remain resourceful set up their representations, then it's a simple matter to teach others to do the same thing.
I highly recommend you continue your investigation of how NLP can enhance all aspects of your life from improving your relationships with loved ones, learning to teach effectively, gaining a stronger sense of self esteem, greater motivation, better understanding of communication, enhancing your business or career. While there may be a lot of truth to this statement it is not one of the easiest processes to accomplish. Most individuals thinking process was created in their early years and have continue to be shape by their daily living experiences, another way to say this is, it is what your eyes see, what your ears hear, and what you was raise believing shapes your thinking now.

One question that could be asked is why you would want to change the way you think. Below I have included a list of reason why thinking changes could come into play.

1. Not living a life that’s fulfilled and happy.
2. Easily becoming upset or stressed out.
3. Unstable relationships.
4. Constant financial difficulties.

Those are only a few reasons. I believe the beginning of changing your way of thinking comes with becoming aware of the point that if your life is centered on most of the above problems, then your thinking process is in need of a change. I am in a process of making the needed changes in my own life and one method that has helped me is a system call NLP which is short for Neuro linguistic programming. Through this method I have begin to restructure my belief patterns which have improve my daily life, I have become more aware of how I was sabotaging my own efforts towards achieving more good out of life. This method of studying NLP techniques is helping me and I know it will help anyone who applies this system. I would encourage everyone to begin this process to assure yourself of the success you deserve. A link to the best program that will help you to become the best you is added with this article, click it now and change your life forever.
NLP Method
