After reading the comments here about tomato pie at Tony's Pizza(cafe) off of Papermill rd. in Newark, a coworker drove over there for lunch today and bought a large tomato pie. We were all excited about it, but ultimately disapointed. It did not look like the Tomato pies (or party pizzas) we used to get at Serpies and other such places when we were kids. And it didn't taste like a real tomato

at the italian festival my husband always makes a beeline for the panzarottis, personally i think they're ok,but MY favorite is the broccoli rabe. I could eat a mountain of it, garlic and all!
