Canadian Medicare 6

Medicare was designed to ensure Canadians had health care,
Therefore a two-tier system could put us into deep despair,
Thirteen provincial and territorial health insurance plans,
But special-interest types want us just like the Americans.

They want their two-tier medical insurance system imposed,
And maybe even our present Medicare system should be closed,
Their media pressure can work both ways – for good and for bad,
The elitists and their politicians know this and it’s so sad.

Why doesn’t Canada have enough doctors to go around?
Though the politicians still say it’s not as bad as it sounds,
Though the waiting rooms and emergency corridors are full,
Why do I feel that special-interest types are all full of bull?

Why do certain interests push for a two-tier Medicare scheme?
Why does pompous propaganda announce that this is supreme?
Why are Canadians being led down this two-tier road alone?
Why do politicians seem to turn their backs and only groan?

Why is it that some doctors can’t accept any more patients?
Why are Canadians not allowed to express their impatiens?
Why can’t we find or make or educate more doctors in this land?
Is Ottawa so far away that we’re not allowed to demand?

Because less than half of Canadians even bother to vote,
And we wonder why our Ottawa politicians are so remote,
As they blame each other and the provinces for this and that,
Their creeping Medicare propaganda has fallen flat.

Canada's national health-care insurance program is good,
So why get worked up if it is properly doing what it should?
But our times in the waiting rooms seem to go on forever?
Do they want us to change to the two-tier system – quite clever?

Does the Canada Health Act allow this two-tier system now?
Can all our politicians just stand around and disavow?
But less than half of Canadians even bothered to vote,
Is this our punishment for being couch-potato remote?

Does anyone know; does anyone care or have I gone mad?
Should I shut up, say nothing and pretend that I too am glad?
After all the system has been around since nineteen fifty seven,
And when it comes time to die; will it get me into heaven?

The difference between Canada and the US is Medicare,
Canada has it as the US hesitates and doesn’t dare,
Powerful interests and lobbies attempt to control and arrange,
Mysterious massive media management involved in change.

We seem to have a shortage of nurses, doctors and beds,
That’s what all politicians say – the provincials and the feds,
As though we have no alternative except private health care,
The insurance companies of course encourage this whole affair.

They seem to support the two tier system as almost fantastic,
And their propaganda is nothing short of bombastic,
It appears we never hold our politicians to account,
As they spend and travel and tax to no small amount.

We’re going to have private health care or didn’t you know?
Forced on us in waiting rooms with others and very little dough,
And we’re going to like it as the media has directed,
Pushed by politicians which less than half of us elected.

And as bad as we are; the Americans are even worse,
Their media controlled politicians come with the same curse,
And Medicare for them will just never never be allowed,
It makes the medical health insurance companies feel proud.

They say we can’t complain because our life expectancy is high,
Therefore we should thank our politicians before we wave goodbye,
And euthanasia is also banned so there is no alternative,
We’ll like medical insurance they say and it’s addictive.

Many of our elitists and bureaucrats should be in jail,
Put in there to learn a lesson and given no easy bail,
As they attempt to introduce their two-tier Medicare,
And our tax-and-spend Ottawa politicians don’t seem to care.

And unfortunately we think we’re great as we nudge towards the cliff,
Being led by the media hidden agenda without a whiff,
As the issue of health care spending are frowned on and exposed,
As the tentacles of private medical sector are imposed.

Our high public health care expenditures are frowned upon,
Never compared with other OECD countries as we go along,
Never an election issue so we all go back to sleep,
Led by some media sheppard and we’re a docile herd of sheep.

But South Africa seems to have immigrant problems to repair,

Schedules of scams and diagrams and hidden ideograms,
A map of the Middle East with Israel completely gone,
This, their conclusion about the future is immoral and wrong.

This form of madness will repeat again and again next year,
In 2009 Durban II Conference where they will give us the gears,
And eight years later Durban III will show their hand once more,
They’re on to a good thing in their minds with UN money galore.

The group that hijacked the UN in Vienna, a greater curse,
Dysfunctional Commission screaming Human Rights propaganda,
Commandeered by special-interest groups with their hidden agenda.

And in South Africa from where African immigrants had to run,
Or get slaughtered by the racist Johannesburg mobs just for fun,
They will announce their pompous lies about the Israeli nation,
Full of political rhetoric and racist accusations.

It adds to the trouble, confusion, hatred and perplexity,

Safer to view it from a distance and pretend to know the score.

It’s what the UN Human Rights Commission thinks it can solve,
Plus their narrow racist hidden agenda for the UN could evolve,
This Human Rights Commission or Council or any name you like,
Seems to have taken many of their ideas from the Third Reich.

The opposite of Universal Declaration of Human Rights,
Special interest group wants to destroy those on the Golan Heights,
A graphic demonstration of defects in the United Nations,
And the rest of the world, politically correct in their relations.

Canada is not going to their UN Durban II Conference,
Due of course to all that special-interest UN belligerence.

Their festival of Jewish hatred claims that Hitler was right,
Under normal circumstances, this should give everyone a fright,
They can’t help Burma, Zimbabwe, Somalia or Chad,
But they’ll cause lots of bureaucratic problems and make us all mad.

Representatives at the UN should fall in line and not scatter,

No peace movement here – not in the least -- so just count the deceased.

Their committees have already planned out what they will say,

And Israel, the US and the West all make them very distraught,
They can’t solve Rwanda, Burma, Zimbabwe or Darfur,

Time for ordinary people to stand up and pay attention,

And we will again, all shake our heads and wonder why,
Three days after their last conference, 9/11 in the sky.

Though Israel, Canada and the US will not be there,

They seem to think that anti Semitism is so much fun.

The world needs peace and tranquility which they should promote,

Am I supposed to listen to their anti Western drivel?
Demanding money for history could be uncivil.

At what stage down this road will the United Nations close its doors?
With their left-wing notorious attitude of “up yours”,
The US and Israel walked out of Durban I in disgust,
It appears there’s not many of these UN oddballs we can trust.
