Found the above dress at Forever 21 this evening. In addition to looking a lot more expensive than it actually is, the entire dress is lined (details such as lining tend to be less common at stores of this sort). For the price ($24.80), it's a great piece - go get it!!!

BDG jeans - exclusive to Urban Outfitters - really deserve a shout out here. I had a pair of BDG capris that I lived in all last spring and summer, and recently purchased a pair of long, skinny dark jeans for fall/winter as well. They are SUPER comfortable (yay for cotton/spandex) and, even in the skinny cut, look great on those with curvier lower-halves. At under $50 a pair, they are also a great buy.

Artists' Studio Tours: Hoboken & Jersey City

New Store Open in Hoboken - 20% off Sale 9/15 and 9/16!

I left my apartment this afternoon to go for a run, turned the corner and, to my surprise, discovered Heart beat, a new store that opened today in Hoboken (210 Newark St). There is actually another location that recently opened uptown (Washington between 12th and 13th - 201.714.4922), as well as one in Brooklyn and one on the Upper East Side. The scene inside was like a madhouse - women were grabbing arm-fulls of garments off the racks, and when the dressing rooms filled up, began pulling items on over their clothes in the middle of the store. The best thing about the store (besides the cute, wearable pieces) are the prices - I could not find anything over $100. I immediately put my workout plans on hold and bought this black bubble mini dress - listed at $48, my bill came to only $38.40 thanks to the 20% off sale they are having all weekend to celebrate their grand opening. Thank goodness the prices here are so reasonable - otherwise, the store's proximity to my apartment would be very bad for my bank account...

When it comes to shopping for dresses, ShopBop is one of my favorites sources on the web. The pieces they carry are classy, fun, and always a bit unique. Here is a cute version of "the little black dress," perfect for a fall night out. I like that they styled it with peep toe mary-janes too.
