MySpace.com has added a new "official" myspace profile editor to the site. A very interesting tool that may make some 'myspace editor' sites a little upset or improve their editor to compete with this new tool.

A little history on the myspace editor:

The first myspace editors started showing up December 2004. Starting as a simple tool to change the colors of your Myspace profile. Later becoming more advanced, with a live view of your profile as your making the changes. Many 'myspace editor' owners recieved large amounts of traffic from these tools. Later came more things such as contact tables, online now icons, and other little things to pimp out your profile. It's getting harder and harder to make a very popular myspace help site now a days, and I think this new editor on Myspace might make that even harder. We will see. I finally put together a new generator. It's called the glitter text generator. It allows you to quickly and easily create a custom glitter graphic words to add to your profile, blogs, or friend comments. Check it out here. There are currently 21 different styles. I will be working on a few more down the road. Have fun.

After numerous requests and suggestions, I have decided to gather up some contact tables and add them to the Pimp Myspace arsenal. Simply copy the code and your contact options will be changed to something more personal and stylish.

Pimp Chat

Hello people. I have something new and somewhat interesting for you guys. It's the new Pimp Chat. Come join other visitors and discuss various things such as pimping out your profiles, site features, or just hang out and chat about anything. It's a PERL script I installed which I am not too familiar with. Not only do I not know all about the features in it yet, but I probably won't be able to customize it very much since most of the code is encrypted. Anyways, you can check it out here.

Funny Song

Not too much has changed from the last update. However, I did come across something I found pretty funny and had to share with all my visitors. It's a myspace-related song about Myspace user singing to the beat of "Milkshake song." Check it out here.

I'm still working on the updates I promised. I recently ordered a new server, so you can expect the web site to start loading faster very soon. I finished the tell-a-friend script so now you let others know about Pimp Myspace.

I have been working on a few new features as well as updating the old pages and adding new content. I have completed the glitter graphics page. There are now over 200 glitter graphics!

Added Online Status Icons

Myspace Online Status Icons are now here. Change your current online status icon to something good. On the online status icons, click on the icon you want to use which will take you to a code page. You then copy the code and add it to your Myspace profile. You can thank a friendly visitor who gave us the suggestion and images to just about 310 online status icons.

Smilies and Emoticons Added

Pimp Myspace now has Smilies, or Emoticons. These smilies can help you spice up your profile and comments by adding a little more emotion. On the smilies page, click on the smiley you want to use and copy the code in the box below it. Paste it in your blogs, stories, and friend's comments.

New Layout (v2)

A new layout has arrived. PimpMySpace v2.0. While still maintaining the simplicity of the first layout, v2.0 is a little more 'happy' and upbeat. This is just the start of new and better features coming soon.

I finally set up an annoucement system. From now on, you will be able to check out the latest updates and site progression. Also, I've added some new spooky cursors to the cursor collection, just in time for Halloween.
