Fairytale

We were in Amsterdam yesterday and it was as if it was not real.
In the red light district we saw approx 30 white swans floating on the dark water really a fairy tale, really amazing! Click on the picture to enlarge.

Fowl Play

The theme at the Three Muses wa difficult for me because of the language;o)
It is Fowl Play................I asked Marie about it but it became more confusing for me. Not because of her but I stil can not understand the Rooster and Chickens in this. So I hope I did the right thing, but I can tell you it was fun to do;o) Images from the internet.

Great theme at Mixed Media Monday: Marvellous Mostaches.
If you listen to fortune tellers you can be everyting.
Ofcourse you can be a ballet danser with a moustache;o)

The boots are from a magazine but the most images are from the collagesheet week 58 from Nancy and sorry the rest I forgot, sorry. Acrylic paint and crayons a flower here and there and little rine stones. They are almost gone, I had a little bag but they don't sell them anymor, only big ones and I need small ones, So if you live in Holland and you know where to buy them, please let me know;o)

Creative block

I have been a bit sick and my daughter has moved out the house and I cried so many tears, I've got to let go but that is not something I have got in my genes. I have an empty nest syndrome and I am going to spoile my son I am afraid. Perhaps he is going to live with me till he is 40 (LOL)
I am paralyzed in my creativity for a while now, I want to move on with other techniques but I don't know how yet.I miss working with my hands and colours.
I found this video, I think it's a good lesson why so much fear?
Do you recognize it, that you think you can not make something because you are afraid it is not good enough......;o(

Pure Magic

I combined two challenges, Mixed Media Monday(Nature's Blues and Browns)and The Three Muses (Art in the Round).
I used acrylic paint on a canvas and put wax on it, perfect pearls ,glimmermist and walnut ink.
It was fun to do;o)

7 things or facts about myself!
1) I am adddicted to chocolat
2) When I come home from a visit I have to make me my own strong and sweet Earl grey Tea.
3)Ilove to get up early in the morning when everybody is a sleep.
4) I can not choose what to do sometimes, play with clay/paint or collage material that
I get blocked .....................
5)I have seen the movie Frida Kahlo 5 times!
6)I am sad, but also happy for my daughter she is leaving the nest next month after 22 years.
I am happy that my son still lives with me and I hope he will stay a bit, time flies.................
7)I am going to learn to paint with oil paint laike the old masters,in September I am so exited!

Statue

Sad story. For Mixed Media Monday. This statue is sad because she is from stone and not painted like Mona Lisa. Her life would have been really different, colorful and excaiting. She is standing at the same place over and over in wind and rain. Mona has been all over the world and people are watching here all her life. The grass is always greener somewhere else, I know;o)

I am just in time for Mixed Media Monday's entry lace. I made this Doll (19 inch) this week at the Holliday Workshop from Hannie Sarris. Look at here website for her gorgeous Dolls, she has a great book also and yes it's also in English!
Yesterday and today I was giving her a catsuit from lace and clothes, can't see lace anymore;o)
It was hard work but so fun to do!
