Final Results!

Well folks, here's the final end of season table showing where you ended up.

Congratulations to Kenneth for a solid season and picking up the number 1 spot. Well played also to Steve and Deka for their 2nd and 3rd place finishes. Has Deka shown you his trophy yet?

For the women, congratulations to Veronica for finishing highest with Eva 2nd and Inger 3rd.

Fastest leg for the men is shared between Steve and Runnar with a rather impressive 13 darts.
The women's fastest leg goes to Inger with 17 darts....although she usually prefers to finish on the bull, so I don't know what happened there!

Highest outs of the year go to Dave with 154 and Anita with 147. Nice one both of you.

And the most 180's goes to Kenneth with 11 and Anita with 1.

After a few beers during the club championship, I'm suprised anyone could see the dartboard for the final few rounds but a big congratulations goes to Per for winning the final against Runnar and the same goes to Veronica for beating Anita 4-3 in the woman's final.

I think that wraps up the year. Congratulations to all King George members for making the club what it is today.

The new season starts on 8th August and I'm giving you all a chance this year by moving to Copenhagen.

League Table 30th May 2005

Another late update to the site but Jan beat Paul 3-0 in the final. Fastest leg was Steve with 17 darts and Ian takes the highest out of the week with a 104.

Biggest move sees Ian leap frog both Charlie and Bjorn but as I wont be at the club night tonight they can both reclaim their spots on what is the last night of the season.

Watch out Charlie I'm catching you! This week sees Ian reach the final for the 3rd time in a row and lose for a 3rd time. This time 3-1 to Kenneth at least. I'll still get you one day Jan!

Highest out of the night goes to Kenneth with a 93 and the fastest leg is shared between Kenneth, Dave, Deka and myself with 17 darts.

Well worth a mention this.

Congratulations to Eva Stokke and Hege Løken for winning the ladies doubles final, Norges Cup no.3 in Tromsø at the weekend. Always great news to hear when a King George player does well....even better when they win!

The Silver Fox could only manage 9-16 in the singles and semi-finals in the doubles. Good Club effort from all the players - Kenneth Bråteng, Charlie Winger, Eva Stokke Dave the Silver Fox Bate.

Don't forget club night tonight.

League Table - 18th April 2005

This week Steve beats Kenneth 3-0 in the final to make it tighter at the top. Kenneth doesn't leave empty handed though, and takes the top out of the night with 113 and the fastest leg with a 16 darter.

League Table - 11th April 2005

Well....guess what. On a rather uninspiring night of basically crap darts, Jan pops up yet again to win the night with a 3-2 victory over Steve in the final. It's alright Steve, he beat me twice on the way to the final. Any thoughts on how we can handicap or ban Jan, then please feel free to leave a message.....

Quickest leg of the night was Steve with an amazing (his words not mine) 17 dart leg. We've seen better Steve.

Highest out of the week (and this is amazing!) goes to me with a rather smooth 118.

Oh, and a special thank you to Deka for doing the scoring and providing us with entertainment when he couldn't keep track of the games and play darts at the same time and got stressed out.

This week Dave beat Kenneth 3-2 in the final. Nice one Dave.
Bjorn had the fastest leg with 17 darts and the highest out was Kenneth with a mere 95.

League Table - 21st March 2005

Sorry for no updates recently but I've been out of town and basically too drunk to be bothered with the updates.

Anyways, here's the the latest table and we have a few changes at last! This week sees a low turnout due to chocolate egg induced laziness and allows for Dave to take the highest out with a 110 and a fastest leg with 14 darts.

Not good enough to make the final though with no King George players making it that far.

A small turnout this week, but King George members made it to the final with Kenneth beating Bjørn 3-1.

Kenneth takes all honours this week and wins a lollipop with the fastest leg of 17 darts and the highest out of 97.

This week saw Kenneth beat Jan in the final. Deka had the fastest leg with a swift 14 darter with Kenneth taking the highest out honours with 126.

IMPORTANT CLUB BUSINESS

Due to internal club rule changes everybody playing will now be given a secret codeword when they pay their subs. This code word will then have to be repeated before they are given a number to verify that they are actually who they say they are this is to stop players getting a duff number and then pretending they are somebody else.

To make sure the numbers are picked at random, a machine from the Norwegian lottery will be used, unfortunately this machine is bolted to the floor in a strong room in Hamar so the draw will now be done over the phone (secure line) with a member of both the lottery committee and a local police officer present to stop any possible tampering.

When these numbers are transferred to the master score sheet, there will be two members of the public present to verify the correct codeword against the correct name for the number given. These people will be picked from the barfor convenience but should be tested for excessive alcohol consumption as this could effect their ability to confirm the numbers in low light conditions.

Before each game, a coin will be used to determine the starting order of the players. This coin will be two sided with a different motif on each.This coin will be kept in a locked box until required, again to prevent tampering. The idea being that one of the two players will predetermine which motive will face upwards after the said coin has been launched into the air and come to a full stop on the ground. He (or she) will do this by calling out the motive while the coin is in flight. After deciding which of the two players will call, three members of the public (again picked at random from the bar) will be required. One to throw (or to use the correctterminology 'Toss') the coin into the air with at least three rotations per foot of upward thrust. Person number two after confirming that the coin reached the required altitude and rotations will then read off the motif from the side of the coin facing upwards after it comes to a full stop on the ground. Person number three will then relay this information to the chosen scorer of the game who will then enter the correct name (after password confirmation) on the correct side of the score sheet.

From now on everybody will go through to the cup, the prerequisite of actually winning a game is now no longer necessary. In fact we shall take away the knock out stages altogether as some members believe it's unfair to play somebody that might beat them!

League Table 14th February

Sorry for the lack of action and updates on the site. Sometimes I'm on the road and it's a little tricky to keep up to date.

Anyways, here's the latest table from 14th February. Suprise suprise...no real change. Steve still on top with Runner chasing whilst Dave and Charlie trade places.

Yet again Steve makes the final beating Jan 3-0. I think the only way to stop him is to steal his darts and break his fingers!

Highest out of the week goes to Mr Consistency (boring) Steve with a pretty decent 134.

Fastest leg of the night goes to Ian with a wonderfully smooth and relatively faultless 15 darts.

Not much movement this week except for the switching of second and third spots between Kenneth B and Runnar. Steve still out on top but watch out for Geir who's on his way back and on the up.

Deka takes the highest out this week with, to be honest, a rather low 77, and the fastest legs go to Arfa (again) and Kenneth B with an equally rather poor 20 darts. More like circus darts rather than Circus Tavern guys!

This week sees Jan and Hege reach the final with Jan winning 3-0. Another week with no King George members in the final, although it was a bonus seeing Steve chalk a game.

Steve claims man of the match with the fastest leg of 17 darts and the highest out of 96. Like I said.....he claims man of the match but in reality he got his arse kicked in the cup.
