Sounds & pictures from last night's Double Awake performance are up, and the next few weeks are looking really stellar: Noell Dorsey's doing a solo vocal show next week, Chris Strunk & Ricardo Donoso are having a percussion battle rematch the week after, and then Brendan Murray swoops in for a miasma of drone to kick off September. So if you've been thinking about making a trip down for a Monday night show, now's a prime time to get on it.

You can now hear a bit of last night's Animal Hospital show, as well as a bonus tidbit from the Graveyards instore that took place on Sunday. Looks like Martin from Reports will be booking shows for October too. Yay for all!

Benny & Brandon were great last night- the chord organ had such present, feathery tones! Sound files & pictures are up. Finally got the store phone fixed, so that the photo capabilities are a little better- but I'm taking the photos, so they're still blurry. Next week: Animal Hospital kicks off a month of shows curated by the esteemed Chris Strunk.

Well, I spaced out posting last week, but files & pix from last night's fantastic Goat of Arms show, as well as last Monday's performance from Dan Harris, are up for your perusal. Chris Strunk is taking over the booking duties in August, so should be some insane stuff coming down the pike over the next few weeks. Next Monday I've got Josh Friedman coming down from Vermont with his heavy swirls of bombastic Blue Cheer stoner guitar. Josh is a longtime Weirdo customer & I can't wait to hear his project, Black Beauty.

Successfully roped Steve Norton into promising that he'd display a piece he worked up for his recent tour at Weirdo on June 29th. Should be a laser-focused dip into solo reeds & can't wait, so make plans to attend now.

And the winner is... A smokeout of psychedelic haze from longtime Boston gents Don Harney, Ron Gittens, Sam Wheeler, plus the one & only Buzz Gundersen (aka the Absurder). They'll be taking the floor at Weirdo this coming Monday June 8th. It's sure to provide some serious liftoff, so don't miss.

Last eve's show was quite grand. Steve Bonner & Peter Gumaskas took over the shop with a wall full of patch bays & knob-covered boxes. Steve also had a Samsonite briefcase full of old calculator buttons that looked like a bomb from some 60s spy movie.
