Hi, it's Sophie. And I'm not happy. Yesterday we were just watching the Colts game, enjoying some lazy time.

Then something happened. Mom got UP. And LEFT.

She was doing ANOTHER TRANSPORT! What is the DEAL! If she likes driving pugs around that much she can drive us to PETCO! Sheesh! It makes a pug feel neglected, honestly.

For what it's worth, here he is. He's a champion bloodline pug (like that makes me feel better?) named Uno.

Looks a little pudgy if you ask me.

His "pawrents" (if you could call them that) gave him up because he was marking in the house. Guess why? URINARY TRACT INFECTION. I've got 'em before, my pawrents didn't get rid of me! Some people shouldn't be allowed to have pets.

He looks a LOT like our friend Harry Pugalicious! Mom said he was very sweet and had bad breath like Harley (BOL!!! Harles you got called out!)

He is with his foster family now and Mom said he'll go to a new home fast. As long as it's not THIS home then I wish him the best!

A Crazy Week!

WOW do we have a lot to fill you in on! It's me, Sophie, writing, but naturally Mom has given me a list of things to mention. Nice, right? Come on Mom... just let me type!!!!

For Thanksgiving our awesome Uncle Steve was in town!!!! Here he is putting up with my siblings. When they were done annoying him I snuggled him crazy amounts.

Mom and Dad had a stinky Thanksgiving. They found out that money they were promised for their wedding won't be coming anymore and they had to cancel their reception. I think that's crazy because I can't imagine a wedding would cost more than 3 bags of kibble and MAYBE a treat bag, right? Well apparently it's "okay" since our pawrents are having their ceremony still March 20 and then some parties in the summer. Which we can probably attend!!!!!!!! So I'm happy even though they're a little sad.

They worked out the details to their new wedding plans all week so they were BORING. Then on Saturday (yesterday) Mom abandoned us for another pug! She transported a pug named Madison from Lebanon (north of Indianapolis) to Greenwood (south of Indianapolis.) Here she is...

She was coming from South Bend Indiana (where Notre Dame is, right at the top of the state) and going to Kentucky. She was stinky (I could smell her all over Mom later!) and she said she was really timid. She was also so skinny...

Mom gave her a hug (ew Mom, you could have showered) and then passed her along to the next driver. She's probably all bathed (sorry Madison!) and fed (YAY!) by now in her foster home.

Then when she got home her and Dad were cleaning for like HOURS! They didn't even go to meetup!!!!!!! Luckily Salinger's Mom knows what's up and stopped by after. I got to see Myyyy Holdennnnn!

Then Harley got pets and then sneezed all over Holden.

Aunt Laura took home a bunch of Sal's stuff that Mom borrowed for Bugg's calender shoot, and then she gave Mom some waffles and stuffing!!!!!!! I hope Mom shares!

Salinger stuck out his tooth and sat in the corner with our shoes. I guess he's still not over the fact that we broke up. Oh well! More treats for me!

I got lots and lots of pets from My Holden. I am so glad he visited me (he clearly just came for me, duh!)

After they left, Mom and Dad went to Goodwill, but didn't come back till late because Daddy's grandma was in the ER. Luckily she is doing alright but it was scary!

Things have been so crazy lately and 2009 is almost over. We can't wait for 2010 since it's going to be a much better year!

We did a lot of pug hanging out and petting tonight, since tomorrow Brian and I will be going down to Bloomington, Indiana for the IU game versus Purdue! They have a huge rivalry and we are big IU fans, so it will be a long, fun filled day as we hope to be victorious against "Purdon't" (as I like to call it.) I'm sure Sophie will post a rant about being left alone for gasp a whole day... no one call animal services on us!

Hi guys! It's the one and only Sophie Sophie here. Thanks for your concern and well wishes about Bugg's bump. It is completely gone! YAY! We can go back to getting the same amount of attention once again.

Finally we are ready to recap our day with Harry last weekend! We spent the morning eagerly awaiting the meetup by napping in the sun.

As you all know, we were "Three of a Kind / Crazy Eights" and it was great to wear a costume WITHOUT a hat this year!

There were some great costumes... Jill here was a horse to a jockey!

Her bro Carson was a horse to a cowboy!

Miss Molly O'Malley was a little devil!

There was a puppy baby pug there. Look at her romp! Her name was Minnie.

Sheesh Mom, she wasn't THAT cute to warrant 2934491 pictures. Anyways here's my ex boyfriend Salinger with his Momma, our Aunt Laura.

Then... HARRY ARRIVED!

He has a ton of girlfriends or else I might have hit on him. I couldn't do that to my BFF Pearlie Poo gal, though.

Lilo was dressed as Minnie Pearl and won the costume contest! We gladly gave her our title from last year. Although, we didn't have a crown to pass on or anything... bummer. Here she is lookin' at all the cash they won (all of which was donated to KPR!)

Mom went back to photographing Minnie... I don't see the appeal, except that she looks like a miniature me.

Aunt Laura gave Harles some pets too which I can understand, she has to seem unbiased. But then after this picture was taken things got weird and Auntie Laura didn't hold us anymore... BOL.

I ran to Daddy to try and get him to take me home. I was tired, it was all too much! But nope he said NO we have more fun coming!

Mom and the other pug blog pawrents (and a few randoms) took a group picture before we left.

Then... we went to THE PUG POSSE'S HOUSE!!!!

Dixie made herself at home right away.

We hung out with like, 20+ pugs. It was cool to have Harry there.

If you couldn't tell, Mom wore a pug shirt she got at a wedding shower. Her friend, aka my BFF Pearl's mom (whose name is also Kelly) got her that green shirt but it was like junior sized and didn't fit, so Mom & Pearl's Mom decided to give it to Auntie Laura! They were all pugged out. I hope they don't think this means we will wear shirts with people on them.

One of the pug posse decided that their Mom Vikki wasn't allowed to go inside!

Laura hung her PIS FOR PUGS bucket in the bathroom, BOL!

And she also made a poison cake! Well, poison to us. So to me it's rude that Harry's name is on it when he can't eat it?!?! Where is our wonderful beef liver and peanut butter cake?

Mom was REALLY annoying Harry. I know because he told me. She smooshed him like 700 million times.

They took a REAL blogger pic too! This time I was in it usually it's Harles since he's badly behaved so I was glad to be in front of the camera for once.

We had a great time and were so glad to meet Harry! He gave us a great monkey toy and some treats that have kept us occupied since he left. We miss you buddy! Come back anytime although I know you won't since my Mom practically smooshed the stuffing out of you.

Pee-S if you don't know, a Hoosier is someone from Indiana. There are lots of rumors but no one really truly knows what it means.

Bugg Bump Update

Our good friend Tweedles reminded us that we haven't updated you about Bugg's bump. It has gone down in redness and puffy-ness and while it was a little crusty this weekend, it's looking back to normal now! Of course we will have a vet check it out when she goes for her shots, she is back to normal and I am thankful that my paranoia was unfounded this time! Thanks Tweedles for checking up with us!

The Pugs' 2009 Costumes!

I have a nice big post coming about our wonderful pug-filled day last Saturday, which included the pug meetup's costume contest, Harry Pugalicious, and a party at the Pug Posse's house. In the meantime... here are their costumes from Saturday!

They were Three of a Kind... get it, like cards? However, as many pug meetup attendees noted, they were also CRAZY EIGHTS! (PS- notice the Boston all up on Dixie's behind? LOL!)

Ok Mom is TRYING to get her act together and is last-minute entering us in Brutus the Frenchie's "That's Ridiculous" Contest!

Mom is finishing our costumes for tomorrow's pug meetup. We need to dress up? REALLY mom? THAT is ridiculous. Look what she does to us!!!!

Seriously Brutus, the clothes we wear are just ridiculous. Plus Mom ONLY hand-makes them... which means so much for someone we don't want to wear. We don't get it! Last year as you know, we were The Three Amigos. Wonder what we'll be tomorrow...

I worry about everything. I over-think and fear the worst. It's just how I am.

Ever since Bugg's cancer (remind yourself here, here, here) I worry about every bump. Sometimes it's nothing- or sometimes it is really cancer (Sophie's mast cell followed Dixie's.)

I don't have a picture because it's RIGHT UP next to her lady-parts, but there is an inflamed bump. And you all know what I am thinking. So please, please, please pray that it goes away, that it is just a little irritation or infection. We're cleaning it and watching it for a few days and if there isn't improvement, we'll be taking her to the vet. I can't take another mast cell, emotionally or financially.

Thanks for keeping "dah bugg" in your thoughts and prayers!

It was an uneventful Halloween at our house. The pugs didn't dress up (we don't really get trick-or-treaters at our house) but we did get some great pug-snuggle time! Sophie is all about hanging out on her Daddy's lap no matter what... Evidence #1- The Flamingo!

Yes, seriously... she hung on there just to get some lap time.

Now that is one Daddy-lovin' pug! What did you all dress up as for Halloween? We have a Meet-Up next weekend and still no costume... uh oh!

Oblivious Bugg

Our neighbor is kind of crazy and her house mildly looks like a junkyard. But what's good about her is that she does a ton for feral cat rescue. There's even a beautiful black and white cat named Helen that hangs out in the ferns outside our porch. A different cat was hanging out today and poor Bugg was completely oblivious.

Hi everydog it's Sophie. Any of you doggies read about Martha's pampered poochies? Yea guess what. I SAW IT. And I was not happy. Where are my our diamond collars and board games?

Mom made up for it by bringing us home this toy. It's a pig but with no stuffies! It has a crinkly water bottle instead.

We were so excited we didn't know how to approach it!

It makes a crinkle crinkle instead of a squeak... quite enticing! I bet those rich Frenchies at Martha's don't have this.

Dixie took an extra special liking to the pig.

We liked the pig so much we tired ourselves out and Dixie snuggled our crinklepig.

I don't know how the pig felt but Dixie looked content.

I've been enjoying Martha Stewart more and more because of her wedding lovelies, but was super-excited to find that her dogs also have a blog!

The Frenchies, Francesca and Sharkey, have their own blog on her site called The Daily Wag. Look how beautiful they are!

Poor Bugg, Poor Bernie

Poor, poor Bugg. She got "bugged" again on Thursday aka got bit by something outside which swelled up her lip. This has happened before but a quick search did not yield the past post so you can just take my word for it. Last time we went to the emergency vet and paid a cool $100 for a Benadryl. This time we were smart! It went down before I even got back from the store but we still gave her a little for discomfort. Enjoy the photos I attempted to take!

See that sweet mob-boss style floppy lip swell? No? Yea well this is pre-Benadryl and Bugg wouldn't keep still!

Poor Bugg!

I also mentioned poor Bernie in my post title. Bernie is my faithful computer (a black MacBook... see why I named him Bernie?) Well after his namesake died I was kind of worried about MY Bernie's safety. Turns out I just stink in general and dropped him and now he's a little worse for the wear. Including some probable internal damage and a nice big crack across the screen. I didn't use him (thus the lack of blog posts) while investigating his illness. The crack is just a flesh wound, but Mac won't investigate the internal damage without fixing everything (I guess it's a warranty thing?) and that would run me a cool $755. Sorry Mac, I don't even have half of that. So, it looks like I will continue to back up files and hope Bernie lives past the wedding. At which time we can hopefully afford his replacement!

And hopefully, he'll stay as healthy as a Bugg!

So we were browsing the internets searching for pug beauty tips (not that I, Sophie, need them, just looking to see if the trends have caught up with me yet) and found this card on etsy. It's by seller gemmabear.

I thought it was pretty neat, I mean, good message of course and a handsome little pug... but then it hit me... I think I know that pug?!?!?! I think it's my "fabulous" ex-boyfriend Sal!

I would know that salty scowl anywhere. But Salinger is usually better about neat and trim body grooming... I don't imagine that he'd leave stubble like the pug pictured. Maybe that was added for effect afterwards.

The shop also has prints and cards of some other dog types, like Bostons, Frenchies, and Chihuahuas! Check it out!

I hope you all learned a valuable lesson... photos from your past- even cheap modeling jobs you did to pay the rent- can come back to haunt you. Make 'em sign something.

Peanut.... Peanut Butter- and Snuggie!

Today, Brian finished off a near-empty container of peanut butter. Guess who helped clean it up?

Sophie was standing on her hind legs for SO LONG to get to the peanut-buttery goodness!

All three wanted in on this delicious treat!

I took a video... but had a brain-fart and held the camera sideways. Nice right? My two jobs plus job 3 (wedding planning) have turned my brain to mush... sometimes I honestly can't function and think I have lost brain cells. Anyways, do a pug head tilt and check out Sophie's amazing form!!!!

I also wanted to do my part and support breast cancer research this month. While at Walgreen's, I noticed they had PINK SNUGGIES for just that purpose! Snuggie is donating $50,000 from Pink Snuggie sales to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Walgreen's had it for only $14.99!!! I think it was $20+ at Bed Bath & Beyond.

Anyways, the pugs gave the Snuggie 3 paws up!

I'm honestly just flabbergasted by her cuteness!

Dixie snuggled up too! She's dreaming about her gift for Murphy for their one year anniversary... I can't wait to tell you all about it!

Harles is probably dreaming of Clover gal!

RIP Pegetables

Since our good pal Sal is willing to kill for them, we talked Mom and Dad into picking up a bag of Pegetables for us!

We actually haven't had treats for like, a month (I KNOW!?! Has anypug called the authorities yet?) so we were happy to gnaw on these peggies.

I got a corn pegetable.

The package says something about "do not let pet gulp. Gulping can be fatal." WTH does GULPING mean? Apparently Harles did it since his pegetable was like, all the way in his mouth and Mom took it away. We chewed politely... chicks rule!

Dixie had a carrot pegetable and ate it politely as well.

I got that corn down to a shank, sort of like Tanner does a lot.

Dixie worked on like, a carrot shank? BOL! That's so dumb!

But then Mom took them from ALL of us since we could fit them all the way in our mouth and it scared her. The celery was Harles', he really went to town in the 2.6 seconds he had it.

I was like, what the bark? WHERE are our pegetables?!?!?! (ps check out Harles' little teeth nubs in this picture!!! I BOL'd for like 2 HOURS!!!!!! BOL BOL!)

We had to stare at the Pegetable bag for like, forever. Mom said she's giving them to Sal since apparently he can handle them and we can't without threatening choking and dying.

This is total crap!!! Life is tough.
