I've been fortunate enough to travel a lot over the past few years and I've got so many experiences I'd like to share. I've created this site to have a place to put all of those moments for myself and I also wanted to be able to share those experiences with others. Several of the places I've visited while working, so although I wasn't able to see and dokristin elizabethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03099124781295288465bellakeh@aol.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8687780967678820125.post-79160582318399733682007-11-19T21:30:00.000-08:002007-12-04T10:34:51.738-08:00AntiguaSpent the first weekend in November in Antigua for work.... As you can see from the pictures - the scenery was beautiful!!! Other than that I have less than positive things to say about the Sandals resort we were staying at. It's a good thing I was there for work and hadn't spent my own money on that trip. It was indeed an all inclusive resort - but when the service and the food is bad it kristin elizabethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03099124781295288465bellakeh@aol.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8687780967678820125.post-71649214346909347542007-07-30T15:04:00.000-07:002007-11-19T21:53:56.042-08:00My trip to ThailandThe first of many entries to come! I never thought I would visit Thailand. I've traveled a lot, but had never been too interested in going that far and exploring eastern culture. I am so grateful that I had this amazing opportunity to learn so much about a culture that is so different from our own. I enjoy sharing it with everyone and I hope that you will enjoy learning about it too! Many of them are very small and simple but we visited a couple of the most ornate in Bangkok. As a side note, the weather in Thailand is extremely hot AND humid. For the most part it was fine ~ it seemed that whenever it started to get really bad there would be a kristin elizabethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03099124781295288465bellakeh@aol.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8687780967678820125.post-32221632785209695192007-07-18T22:50:00.000-07:002007-11-19T21:50:42.814-08:00Thai FoodI'm going to let the food talk for itself on this one :) Will hopefully have names of some of the fruit soon ~ can't remember it all! There's a slideshow for food, fruit/desserts and other delicacies :) Did this one for you pops! :) Give them a minute to load up....If there are any food questions just ask them in a comment!kristin elizabethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03099124781295288465bellakeh@aol.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8687780967678820125.post-2916820900174310242007-07-17T18:07:00.000-07:002007-11-19T21:50:23.233-08:00Monkey Mountain!!This had to be one of my favorite places that we visited... It's listed on all the websites as a tourist attraction - but it's so far off the track that I don't think many people ever actually make it there. The first picture of the elephant was when we stopped for gas on the way there....we were all outside stretching our legs when he walked up - it was nuts! On the afternoon we showed up at kristin elizabethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03099124781295288465bellakeh@aol.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8687780967678820125.post-64333158463075467642007-07-12T19:42:00.000-07:002007-11-19T21:53:01.520-08:00Bob and Carol's NeighborhoodAfter the Monkey Mountain we headed to Aranyaputhet which is about 30 minutes from where Bob and Carol live. It's basically a bus stop with a few restaurants (thai style booths) and a hotel that was exceptional considering where we were! When we arrived we checked in, ate crickets, and then headed to the village to see Bob and Carol's house and take a walk through the village. Words cannot express what it felt like to communicate with these children and how their faces lit up when we walked in. They were so well behaved and so eager to speak English with us. Even the ones that were afraid were excited about us being there and still tried to do their best. Obviously Bob and Carol have made quite an impact on these kristin elizabethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03099124781295288465bellakeh@aol.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8687780967678820125.post-38607791418288632222007-07-10T20:36:00.000-07:002007-11-19T21:55:56.746-08:00Cha-amAfter a whirlwind trip to all the sites in Bangkok and all the schools in the village - we spent a couple of days at a condo near the ocean in Cha-am. It was a cute little beach town with very few tourists and some cute shops and restaurants. We finally had a chance to relax a little bit and just enjoy each other's company! We had a "thai" massage (only $6!), ate some of the best seafood I kristin elizabethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03099124781295288465bellakeh@aol.com0
