New Sexy Female Robot From Sega Japan

Sega Toys today announced [JP, PDF] they will start selling a new humanoid robot in Japan, E.M.A., on September 26th. E.M.A. stands for “Eternal, Maiden, Actualization” (whatever that means).

The robot is supposed to be female and stands 38 cm tall. Sega says E.M.A. is especially remarkable because of its “glamorous body” and high level of interactivity. The robot is able to hand out business cards, it can sing and dance and walk “like a lady”.

The kiss function is especially interesting. If your head comes close to the robot, its love mode kicks in and your will receive a kiss.

Sega designed E.M.A. to be feminine from the start. Unlike other, earlier attempts at designing female robots, E.M.A.'s "glamorous body" (so sez Sega) is curved and creased in all the right places, and by precisely articulating her moveable elbows, shoulders, knees and waist she can (again, Sega's words): "walk like a lady".

Of course, I saved the best for last - E.M.A. has a love mode that turns on once infrared sensors detect an undoubtedly blushing face nearby. The robot will then daintily tilt her head upwards and make a "kiss" sound - "chyu" in Japanese but cute nonetheless. E.M.A. is also programmed to hand out business cards... but you & I both know the love mode is going to get much more use.

The battery-powered robot is equipped with infrared sensors for obstacles, position and sound. Movable parts include the elbow, shoulders, the waist and the knees.

With Windows 7 ready to begin testing the private any time now and the end of the ship in 2009, many business users are wondering whether they should simply skip Windows Vista and all together, instead of waiting windows 7.

Microsoft, not surprisingly, is advising customers to take on the map of Vista. As part of a new white paper aimed at influencing the business users who are evaluating when and whether to move to Windows Vista, Microsoft is a firm advocate for the users must migrate to Vista sooner rather than later.

White Paper - "Business Value of Windows Vista: five reasons for now" - does not include much new information, location, weather business functions built into Microsoft Vista and highlights some of the new tools for deployment and the case - study examples of companies which are transferred to Vista. But it does not use Microsoft's official guidelines for Windows 7 commitment. Paper:

"XP is the life for the (Windows) 7," said Nicholls partner. (The main support of Microsoft XP at the end of april 2009. Customers who want continued support of Microsoft will have to pay for it thereafter.)

It is not necessary to wait for Windows 7. It is a goal of the release of Windows 7 to minimise the compatibility of applications for customers who have deployed Windows Vista, since there was a significant kernel and device level of innovation in Windows Vista. The Windows-7 is expected to release only minor changes in these areas. Customers who are still running Windows XP and Windows 7 releases will experience a similar application compatibility to Windows if there are 7 to Windows Vista from Windows XP.

Getronics is advising clients not included in the total amount of their IT budgets just to pay for extending their support for Windows XP, instead of a bullet to bite and Vista, he said.

Flash memory are solid-state electronic devices with random access memory skills required for fast digital information on the storage. They are used in a variety of applications such as the storage of BIOS live in a typical digital computer, as the winner of the capacity of hard drives for digital cameras and memory cards for laptop computers and video consoles.

The technology for the production of flash service is based on EEPROM (electrically erasable programmable with Read-Only Memory) chips from the memory banks, storage boxes in the network of columns and rows. There hasn't exactly been much mystery surrounding this one, but Crave's UK arm has now gotten word straight from ASUS that the company will indeed be launching its new Eee PC 1000 series laptop at Computex in Taiwan next Tuesday and that, yes, it will a 10-inch model. This one won't actually be available for sale until November, however, at least in the UK. Unfortunately, ASUS apparently isn't quite ready to confirm if the laptop will be Atom-based or not, but everything certainly seems to be pointing in that direction.
