Other NEWS: CCA (Melissa) has added some new tutorial to our forum about how to blend to papers together (sky paper and seashore paper to make it truely breath taking) and also some wonderful Hair Extentions for your extracted childrens layouts. Hair is the hardest thing to extract - Melissa has an awesome way of doing it easy with some photo editing. She is fabulous at this and has such an eye to details. You can also get a little look at some of her amazing face lift work. I'm booking in for a face lift with her - far cheaper than an surgery I'm sure. And now something I'm extremely excited about and been wanting to share this with you for some weeks now. I was extremely lucky to have had the below layout done for me by a fabulous layout designer. In fact I would call her a genius. She goes under the gallery title CCA and she has so very kindly agreed to share her secrets in doing this layout with us at Digidesignresort Forum.

Here is a look at the original picture of my daughter Caitlyn feeding the ducks with that dreadful ugly bread bag.

And this is the layout after what I'm sure was many hours of work. Isn't it fantastic - When I first seen this my jaw just dropped open for some minutes before I managed to remember to close it. LOL

And CCA has written a tutorial on how she edited the photo in order to make this fantastic page. You to can check it out at Digidesignresort.
So please come and check it out and be awestruct just as I was. It really brings more meaning and understanding on how a page is created. You can really be inspired by this tutorial. I'd love it if you could leave CCA some love in the forum for sharing her awesome talent with us. Hugs and enjoy.

Hi everyone - Sorry about rather a long post today, my rather bad spacing of this blog post (hate those HTML codes please forgive me. I struggle with these things all the time.) but I have lots of news, freebies and specials to tell you about today.

Did you hear about the So You Think You Can Scrap - Competition that has been running at After 5 Designs and Shabby Pickle. If not - it was a competition run over 6 weeks and I entered. Now the competition is offically over - I can now reveal myself.

I was entrant number 199. In the first round there were 196 people entered. Many I think registered but failed to start the competition. WOW the competition was amazing and the talent = totally awesome.

Anyway - even though I didn't get into the top 10 judged pages for any of the 6 weeks, I'm thrilled to say that I was among the top viewed pages in the competition - ranging from the top 4 down to 27th. I guess out of 196 entries - there is no shame in that. LOL. I'm super thrilled with how I went and wanted to share with you all my layouts. Congratulations to the winners - but also congratulations to all entrants - all pages were fabulous. All layouts done with After 5 Designs and Shabby Pickle Kits (Competition requirements - full credits listed in the gallery at each site)
