This one was in Toby's book. After it goes to Gustav in Japan, and he finishes and sends it on, it will have made it around the world. I believe it will be the first one to make it back to the beginning. Click on the image to get a better view of it. I used ballpoint pen, crayons, and pens to created the surreal landscapeMelissa Kojimahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04514444769016282041noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8614596063810175019.post-77890349257051632802008-10-08T15:17:00.000-07:002008-10-08T15:20:38.253-07:00cristina´s contribution.this was drawn on tobybear´s book. lots of free space to fill in .csrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06266683432222443232noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8614596063810175019.post-57710320262155134192008-09-22T03:55:00.000-07:002008-09-22T04:05:52.507-07:00Tobybear's Fourth ContributionHere's my drawing / painting for Cristina's book. There's a mini Moleskine in there, with a few references to my fellow Moly-8-ers. Plus some other slightly random works within, including a reference to one of my favourite internet songs. It's weird what goes through your head sometimes when filling pages!Tobybearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06784625648117193120noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8614596063810175019.post-39469083386505581262008-09-22T03:49:00.000-07:002008-09-22T04:07:55.022-07:00Tobybear's Third ContributionHere's a scene I've added to Melissa's book. Not quite the typical vision of the perfect holiday, but maybe still with some summery essence. The drawings are kind of transcribed from ones I did whilst sunning myself on the quayside, in the village of Vernazza, Cinque Terra, Italy.Tobybearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06784625648117193120noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8614596063810175019.post-82812053804205974912008-06-23T11:59:00.001-07:002008-06-23T11:59:23.961-07:00Memory of my favorite things from Gustav KlimMemory of my favorite things Originally uploaded by Gustav KlimHere is Gustav's moleskin sketch. I really was trying to get looser and use a lot of different textures, but still make it cohesive. I liked what Kom-K & Cristina did in this sketchbook and tried to continue the theme. I used acrylic paint, white correction fluid, India ink, ballpoint pen, marker, brush pen and collage. Let me know what you think of it. Toby & Gustav, please add and mix Melissa Kojimahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04514444769016282041noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8614596063810175019.post-77409717463327709402008-06-06T13:25:00.001-07:002008-06-06T16:41:30.368-07:00Tobybear's 2nd ContributionHere's my piece following Gustav's theme "memory of my favourite things". I do have a Lancewood plant (left) and a snowboard :-) I don't like to think I own the forest but when I stand there and take in its special appeal, its my own space for those magic few moments. Loving the work everyone's turning out and can't wait to see more.Tobybearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06784625648117193120noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8614596063810175019.post-45733878943108139942008-05-30T12:08:00.001-07:002008-05-30T12:11:43.911-07:002nd Exchange: Melissa's Drawings in Cristina's BookHere's my contribution. Also, on the left, I’d love it if you could add three letters each, to spell out the words “Moleskine Exchange”. I hope you other artists will mess with them, adding, coloring and manipulating my images. Maybe, you'll make snakes coming out of the chef's nose or flowers will bloom out of the coffee cup. Please feel free to make this fun and funky. I have already sent my book to Gutav Klim in Japan.
