Blue Star Mom Rips Obama in Video, Pleads For Afghan Troop Support

She calls herself “Debbie.” She took her son to the airport on November 2nd to rejoin his outfit the 5th Stryker Brigade, 1-17 ID in Afghanistan.

Debbie’s son is described as a father of two young children, a son, brother, uncle and friend to many.
The video which lasts five minutes thirty-five seconds is dramatically illustrated with photo’s of the War in Afghanistan and many grieving families back home who have lost loved ones.
In the video, Debbie addresses Obama directly:

"As commander-in-chief you don't have the luxury to ponder this decision as if it were one of your many parties at the White House.
"Mr. Obama, as you fly around the world apologizing for America and try to get the Olympics in your hometown, and golf, and have party after party after party in the White House our men and women are dying and losing limbs in Afghanistan.
"By the way, how many golf games have you played? How many parties have you had? How many fundraisers and campaign events have you attended in the last ninety days since you were told we needed more troops?
"You said the war in Afghanistan was a war of necessity. I personally can never forgive you for misleading us. You made it sound like you were going to do what needed to be done to win in Afghanistan. Another lie. Instead you put them on the backburner in hopes of pushing through a health care reform that most of us don't even want.
"You left my son and all the other troops like sitting ducks. Mr. Obama you should be ashamed of yourself.

We ask you, our reader to click on the video and post your well wishes for Debbie and her son’s well being as the Obama Administration continues to dither on Afghanistan while America’s best continue to fight the good fight there.

Fact Checking Sarah Palin’s Book “Going Rogue”

Associated Pravda Assigns Ten Writers To Comb Through Book, Ignores Obama’s Specious Claims About Economic Recovery

In yet another sign that the left-wing, liberal dominated continues to go completely bonkers at the mere mention of Sarah Palin’s name, ten Associated ~~Press~~ Pravda writers were put on the task of “fact checking” Palin’s new book “Going Rogue.”

Associated Pravda writers Matt Apuzzo, Sharon Theimer, Tom Raum, Rita Beamish, Beth Fouhy, H. Josef Hebert, Justin D. Pritchard, Garance Burke, Dan Joling and Lewis Shaine were assigned to comb through all 432 pages (about 43 pages each) for so called ‘factual errors.’

Here’s a question: Has anyone at the Associated ~~Press~~ Pravda ever bothered to fact-check a single Obama statement about how he’s “created or saved” more than a million jobs with the implementation of his “economic plan?” (Nov. 13th, 2009)
Let’s fact-check Associated Pravda’s “fact checking” shall we?
Among their findings:

PALIN: Writes about a city councilman in Wasilla, Alaska, who owned a garbage truck company and tried to push through an ordinance requiring residents of new subdivisions to pay for trash removal instead of taking it to the dump for free — this to illustrate conflicts of interest she stood against as a public servant.
THE FACTS: As Wasilla mayor, Palin pressed for a special zoning exception so she could sell her family's $327,000 house, then did not keep a promise to remove a potential fire hazard on the property.

Is this an example of A.P.’s “fact checking” skills? If so, it falls far short of the norm. Rather than checking whether a city councilman in Wasilla Alaska tried forcing residents of new housing subdivisions as Palin claims, Associated Pravda goes right into character assassination mode by trying to detract the reader from the corruption Palin fought. There is no indication here that Associated Pravda made even the weakest attempt at “fact checking.” The entire article is replete with examples such as above, and even worse, some equivocations such as this:

PALIN: Boasts that she ran her campaign for governor on small donations, mostly from first-time givers, and turned back large checks from big donors if her campaign perceived a conflict of interest.
THE FACTS: Of the roughly $1.3 million she raised for her primary and general election campaigns for governor, more than half came from people and political action committees giving at least $500, according to an AP analysis of her campaign finance reports. The maximum that individual donors could give was $1,000; $2,000 for a PAC.

Is the A.P. serious here? The overwhelming majority of Palin’s campaign contributions were $500 or less, which is HALF of the legal limit? They’re seriously complaining about this? Ok, so half her contributions were for $500, half the legal limit, which means the other half of her contributions were … what? Oh, that’s right, the Associated Pravda doesn’t bother to check that out do they? Those pesky little facts just get in their way.

Here’s a few more.

PALIN: Rails against taxpayer-financed bailouts, which she attributes to Obama. She recounts telling daughter Bristol that to succeed in business, "you'll have to be brave enough to fail."
THE FACTS: Palin is blurring the lines between Obama's stimulus plan — a $787 billion package of tax cuts, state aid, social programs and government contracts — and the federal bailout that Republican presidential candidate John McCain voted for and President George W. Bush signed.

The language of “blurring the lines” is not one of so-called “fact checkers”, rather it is the language of Democrat Party Apparatchik apologists. The fact is Palin came out against tax payer funded bailouts of the banking and automobile industries, which in large partoccurred after the 2008 elections. Who’s “blurring the lines” here? None other than Associated Pravda.

PALIN: Says Ronald Reagan faced an even worse recession than the one that appears to be ending now, and "showed us how to get out of one. If you want real job growth, cut capital gains taxes and slay the death tax once and for all."
THE FACTS: The estate tax, which some call the death tax, was not repealed under Reagan and capital gains taxes are lower now than when Reagan was president.
Economists overwhelmingly say the current recession is far worse. The recession Reagan faced lasted for 16 months; this one is in its 23rd month. The recession of the early 1980s did not have a financial meltdown. Unemployment peaked at 10.8 percent, worse than the October 2009 high of 10.2 percent, but the jobless rate is still expected to climb.

Fact: Regan faced double-digit unemployment, double-digit hyper-inflation and energy shortages inherited from the Carter administration. Somehow this doesn’t qualify as an ‘economic meltdown’ in the A.P.’s eyes.

Obama faces double-digit unemployment largely of his own making due to his failed economic policies which spent nearly $1,000,000,000,000 (that’s one trillion) dollars of taxpayer money without a single job created to show for it. Obama’s continued “print more money” economic policies are contributing to the continued downfall of the American dollar, and his tax policies as reflected in “Cap and Trade” and “Health Care Reform” which are both small business killers due to their increased, record taxes.

The fact is Reagan knew how to end the recession of the early 80’s and did it. He cut taxes and increased revenue to the Federal Government. While it’s true that Reagan didn’t end the estate or “death” tax, the fact that the A.P. skipped is that Reagan had a DEMOCRAT CONGRESS that fought him at every turn. It wasn’t until George W. Bush had a Republican Congress in the early 2000’s that the “death tax” was repealed.

Obama on the other hand is hell-bent on increasing taxes and the size and scope of the Federal Government, which is fully responsible for business’ downsizing at the rate of more than 500,000 jobs a month since January of this year when Obama took office.
Having read the entire Associated Pravda article I can easily go point by point and refute A.P.’s so called “facts” but I have a “three strikes and your out” rule that I apply to reading anything in the “mainstream media.” If I find three factual errors that I can prove, the entire article is completely worthless.

Sorry Associated ~~Press~~ Pravda, three strikes and you’re out.

Says Congress Has ‘No Right’ To Cut Off Funding

They must be getting their legal advice from the Obama Administration as you just know Obama wants to keep using ACORN to intimidate voters and get his “health care reform” package passed.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The scandal-hit liberal grass-roots group ACORN sued the U.S. government on Thursday, saying it did not have the right to cut off ACORN's federal funding because the group had not been convicted of a crime.

The U.S. Congress voted in September to cut off federal money to the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), after conservative activists secretly filmed employees in several cities giving tax and housing advice to a couple posing as a pimp and a prostitute.

"It's not the job of Congress to be the judge, jury, and executioner," said Jules Lobel, an attorney with the Center for Constitutional Rights, which brought the case in Brooklyn federal court.

"We have due process in this country, and our constitution forbids lawmakers from singling out a person or group for punishment without a fair investigation and trial," Lobel said.

Republicans have long accused the group of fraud in registering voters and improperly mixing political and nonpolitical activities. They say it has received $53 million in federal money since 1994.

ACORN, which has also suffered an embezzlement scandal involving the founder's brother, has separately sued the makers of the videos.
The lawsuit seeks a temporary restraining to prevent the Congress from reallocating funds designated for ACORN.

Beyond its voter registration drive, the group promotes affordable housing programs for lower-income people, offers tax counseling and has aggressively fought home foreclosures.

Editors Note: Last time we checked, it was Congress’ job to allocate or de-allocate funds for various Federal priorities such as National Defense, Highways, Bridges, etc.. so I had to laugh out loud at the statement “Congress has no right to be the judge, jury and executioner” as it pertains to cutting off ACORN’s funding.
But now just who is the “Center for Constitutional Rights?” Here’s who:

Founded in November, 1966 by left-wing radical attorneys Morton Stavis, Ben Smith, Arthur Kinoy, and none other than William Kunstler himself – all longtime members of the Communist Party and radical left. (Note: Kinoy and Kunstler are well known for their pro-Cuba and pro-Castro politics.”
Clients of the “Center for Constitutional Rights” have historically included the Communist Party, the Black Liberation Movement, the Black Panther Party (led by Congressman Bobby Rush, IL) and the infamous Leonard Peltier, an “American Indian Rights Activist” who brutally murdered two FBI agents in 1975, and is serving a life sentence for.
Major Issues espoused by the “Center for Constitutional Rights” include alleged illegal detention at Guantanamo, “Social Justice”, “Corporate Human Rights Abuse”, “Racial, Gender and Economic Justice” and most famously its lawsuits in Federal Court in the 1960’s that the VietNam war was “unconstitutional and criminal in nature.”
CCR is also a member of the “Open Borders Lobby” which advocates for unchecked and unlimited immigration, and files countless lawsuits yearly on behalf of convicted felons for “prisoner rights.”

A more left-wing organization to represent ACORN could not possibly be found. Best of luck with the lawsuit, boys. (/sarc)

Obama: We’ve Created or Saved One Million Jobs

And He’s Cut Taxes On The Middle Class!

Right, and I’m Superman.

Now think for a minute: if it were true that Obama’s spending more than a TRILLION of our taxpayer dollars had actually created one million jobs, would the unemployment rate have gone UP again for the 10th straight month in a row?

Obama promised the “economic stimulus” plan would create 3.7 million new jobs and keep unemployment below 8%. Instead Obama’s mismanagement of our tax dollars have lost 3.6 million jobs and caused unemployment to peak over 10% for the first time in nearly 30 years!

And just where are these “middle class tax cuts” that Obama says have been enacted? If anything, Obama’s proposed health care reform would be the single largest tax HIKE in the history of the country, far surpassing Bill Clinton’s 1993 tax hike.

Once again, Obama is a damn’ liar. The only question is how many knee-pad wearing sycophants still believe his bullshit?

Follow-Up: Hassan To Be Charged With Domestic Terrorism?

As we reported yesterday, the rumors around Washington DC since last Friday have been that the Obama Administration wants the Fort Hood murders committed by Major Nidal Hasan to be treated as an individual “crime” are increasingly becoming a reality as the days pass.

The proof that those rumors are increasingly becoming fact have been reflected in the words both Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder have been using to describe Hasan’s actions.

“Snapped.” “Stress.” “Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.” “Crime.” “Crime Scene.”

What in the blue hell is wrong with this country that the worst Islamist Terrorist attack in his country since 9-11 isn’t labeled what it is – an islamist terrorist attack?

Political correctness has finally taken over the FBI, which now refuses to acknowledge that the worst attack on American soil since 9/11 is in fact a terrorist act.

What part of all the eye witness reports of Hasan yelling “allahu akbar!” as he brutally murdered 13 of America’s best and severely wounded 31 others who were about to be deployed to fight a war he objected to, made no secret of opposing, and who’s only battle experience himself was the brutal murders he’d just committed.

Exactly what part of this don’t the FBI, Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder not understand as another jihadi attack on American soil?

Let’s be crystal clear here: if this were to happen on Bush’s watch the mainstream media and the Democrats would’ve declared the “war on terror” an abject failure, mocked the “we’re fighting them there so we don’t have to fight them here” logic of it, and blamed Bush for the worst terrorist attack on American soil since 9/11.

But on Obama’s watch? Nothing. It’s a “criminal act.” “Just one guy who ‘snapped’ under stress” is the excuse the Obama Administration is making, while the Obama Approved Media lap it up and repeat it en masse.

Has anyone else besides me figured it out yet? The Obama Administration and their useful idiots in the FBI are making Hasan, and by proxy all muslims living in America the “victim” here at the expense of our best and brightest in the military.

It’s clear that the FBI and Attorney General of the United States have been co-opted by politics, which means there is no way an effective defense against domestic islamist jihadi terrorism can possibly be mounted. If we’re going to declare it a ‘crime’ every time an islamist muslim jihadi commits a terrorist attack in this country then who the hell needs the Attorney General and the FBI anyway? Having them around would simply be a rubber stamp to this Administration’s politics of declaring muslims a ‘victim class’ here in America. Let’s just call in the local police to tape off the ‘crime scene’ clean things up and move on with our lives if that’s the case.

Enough already. Hasan was on the FBI’s watch list for more than 6 months before he committed these brutal murders at Fort Hood. The fact that nothing was done to stop him by the FBI, the Military and yes, the Obama Administration who now declares Hasan a “victim” at the expense of our military puts the responsibility of the lives lost at Fort Hood squarely on their shoulders.

Islamic jihadi terrorism by any other name is still TERRORISM. This political correctness “muslims are a victim class” bullshit is going to get us all killed.

Think Again, Democrats To Use "Nuclear Option"

Thursdayevening October 29th on Air America, Democrat James Clyburn discussed the Democrats'plan to use the "nucelar option" to pass ObamaCare.

What is the "nuclear option?"

The Senate does not restrict the total time allowed for debate; instead, a motion for cloturemust be passed to end debate. A three-fifths majority (60 Senators), isrequired to approve the cloture motion and proceed to a vote on themain issue. Thus, although a bill might have majority support, aminority of 41 Senators can prevent a final vote, effectively defeatingthe bill. In practice, if it is clear that the motion for cloture willnot carry, the bill may simply be tabled so that the Senate can conductother business. From time to time, however, the margin of votes forcloture may be very close, and the minority may wish to stall thecloture vote for as long as possible. Because debate time is unlimited,Senators may simply speak endlessly on the Senate floor to prevent avote from taking place; this tactic is known as a filibuster.A formal change to the Senate's rules is even more difficult to make:Senate rule 22 says that such a change requires a two-thirds majorityof those present and voting to end debate (67 votes if all senatorsvote).

The nuclear option is used in response to a filibuster or otherdelaying tactic. A Senator makes a point of order calling for animmediate vote on the measure before the body, outlining whatcircumstances allow for this. The presiding officer of the Senate,usually the vice president of the United States or the president pro tempore,makes a parliamentary ruling upholding the senator's point of order.The Constitution is cited at this point, since otherwise the presidingofficer is bound by precedent. A supporter of the filibuster maychallenge the ruling by asking, "Is the decision of the Chair to standas the judgment of the Senate?" This is referred to as "appealing fromthe Chair." An opponent of the filibuster will then move to tablethe appeal. As tabling is non-debatable, a vote is held immediately. Asimple majority decides the issue. If the appeal is successfullytabled, then the presiding officer's ruling that the filibuster isunconstitutional is thereby upheld. Thus a simple majority is able tocut off debate, and the Senate moves to a vote on the substantive issueunder consideration. The effect of the nuclear option is not limited tothe single question under consideration, as it would be in a cloturevote. Rather, the nuclear option effects a change in the operationalrules of the Senate, so that the filibuster or dilatory tactic wouldthereafter be barred by the new precedent.

The term "nuclear option" has come to be used generically for aprocedural maneuver with potentially serious consequences, to be usedas a last resort to overcome political opposition.

Hassan To Be Charged With Domestic Terrorism?

Rumor around Washington D.C. is that the Obama Administration wants the Fort Hood shootings by Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan to be treated as "domestic terrorism" with prosecution to be in the U.S. Federal Courts!

The reasoning: Hassan reached out to a radical muslim imamin Falls Church Virginia, who himself was directly tied to two of the 19 hijackers on 9-11. That imam left for Yemen in 2002, and hislectures there in support of al Qaeda have appeared on the computers ofterrorists suspects in the U.S., Canada and the U.K.

The Fort Hood murders make it clear once again that Islamic terrorism is a national security and a domestic U.S. security problem as well. Why our military failed to act upon numerous reports and complaints that Hassan was abusing his position as an Army psychologist spewing al-qaeda propaganda is beyond me, however it's abundantly clear that Hassan was at the time of the attacks, and is today subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice, and any attempts by the Obama Administration and Attorney General Eric Holder should be met by mass protests by all in this country - our Armed Forces as well.

How The Government Is Swallowing The Economy

You know about the bailouts, the stimulus plan, cash for clunkers,and moola for mansions. But for all the anxiety they've caused, thosegovernment giveaways are just a tiny part of a mushrooming problem.

By onemeasure, the government already plays an outsize role in our so-calledfree-market economy--and it has little to do with the recession.Economist Gary Shilling has calculated that 58 percent of thepopulation is dependent on the government for "major parts of theirincome," including teachers, soldiers, bureaucrats, and othergovernment employees; welfare and Social Security recipients;government pensioners; public housing beneficiaries; and people whowork for government contractors. By 2018, Shilling estimates, anastounding 67 percent of Americans could be dependent on the governmentfor their livelihood. The implications aren't comforting.

Tea-partyranters might cite this as evidence of liberal policies run amok, butthe growing-government phenomenon transcends party politics. In 1950,the starting point for Shilling's analysis, just 29 percent of thenation depended on government for its income. By 1980, that had risento 61 percent--higher than it is today--thanks to demographic factorsand the needs of a changing nation. The military got larger and defensespending grew as America took up its role as a superpower. Baby boomerkids required many more schoolteachers. The number of Americansreceiving payouts from Social Security, enacted in 1935, increased10-fold. Food stamps and other safety-net programs of the 1960s and'70s began to reach millions of Americans.

From 1980 to 2000,Americans became less dependent on government. California and otherstates cut their budgets and reduced spending. The military got smallerafter the Cold War ended. Welfare reform in the 1990s kicked manypeople off the dole. And the private sector boomed during those twodecades, accounting for a larger share of the labor force. By 2000, theportion of the population dependent on government had drifted down to54 percent.

But it reversed course after that, and it seemspoised to keep going up. The size of government has generally heldsteady since 2000, but globalization, technology, and other factorshave led to weak private-sector job creation over the past decade. Andthat was before the recession destroyed more than 8 million jobs. Sothe government has employed an increased share of Americans. The otherbig change since 2000 has been a near tripling of food-stamprecipients, as low earners got left out of the housing and stock-marketbooms and then suffered worse during the recession.

Thenext big shift will come as baby boomers begin to retire, boosting thenumber of Social Security recipients 27 percent by 2018 and threateningthe solvency of the program. Shilling has another dire prediction:Economic growth will be so weak for the next several years that withoutgovernment support, the unemployment rate will rise to 23 percent in2018. Since that's politically intolerable, government will continue tospend money to create jobs, he predicts, with nearly 25 millionadditional Americans employed as a direct outcome of governmentspending by 2018.

If that happens, more than two thirds of thenation will owe their livelihood to the government, which isunsustainable for a number of reasons. It will require federal deficitsfar larger than the $1.4 trillion bogy we've got now, which is alreadyalarmingly high. If irate voters don't rein in America's debt binge,market forces will, perhaps because foreigners will stop lending us themoney or the rates they demand will rise and effectively bankrupt thecountry. Higher taxes would help solve the problem--and are probablyinevitable--but enacting them on rich people alone won't be enough. Atsome point not too far off, the U.S. government will have to close thevast gap between its income and its spending, and the pain will bewidespread.

Someeconomists are more optimistic than Shilling, with stronger projectionsfor economic growth that might eliminate the government's need tocreate 25 million new jobs. But rosier scenarios are taking their timeto materialize. The unemployment rate has soared to 10.2 percent, a26-year high, with no indication that companies will start hiring againanytime soon. So instead of restraint by government, Congress andPresident Obama have extended housing subsidies and unemploymentinsurance, cut taxes on struggling companies, and even made plans tosend a $250 check to every senior citizen, just as a nice gesture.Americans who can get in on this bonanza should get theirs while theycan. Sooner or later, the door is going to slam shut.

Remembering Reagan: A Man of Conviction

Isn’t it a damn’ shame that we don’t have a President with the conviction and certainty of Reagan in the White House today?

Here we are, 20 years removed from the night the Berlin Wall fell and America won the cold war decidedly and where was the current President? No where to be found. Not a single mention of how America, the lone remaining super-power in the world won the cold war, freeing millions of people from tyranny.

I remember the night the wall fell and East Germany and West Germany were re-united, it was a historic night which filled tape after tape on my VCR as the night unfolded.

I also remember Reagan’s speech at the Brandenburg gate, not 2 years prior to the wall falling. As someone who cast his first Presidential vote for Reagan and campaigned for him again in 1984, I couldn’t help but always feel a sense of pride in my country whenever Reagan spoke. He always spoke about the best of America.

Compare and contrast Reagan to Obama.

There is simply no comparison between Ronald Reagan and the publicity seeking, power hungry, America hating buffoon who now occupies the White House.

"Stimulus Package" and Deficit Spending Continue To Harm Economy

You may recall that when the "stimulus package" was proposed in April of this year, the Obama Administration said it was "designed to stop unemployment from going over 8%." Clearly the White House's strategy of continued bailouts, printing money, and 'targeting' so called 'investment' at so called "shovel ready" projects is not working and its far past time to change course.

As the unemployment rate jumped four tenths of one percent to 10.2% this morning, the warning signs that the Obama Administration continues to take this country in the wrong direction are abundant.

Whatever one may think of Tuesday's elections, one message was resoundingly clear: It's The Economy, Stupid!

Obama may remain "personally popular" in the polls however voters actions in New Jersey and Virginia speak volumes towards their concerns over the economy first and foremost.

One thing that's gone literally completely unreported in the lamestream media is the fact that Pennsylvania also 'turned red' on Tuesday. Conservatives won 6 of 7 statewide seats in Pennsylvania, derailing decades of liberal rule. Again, it was the economy, and the Bureau of Labor Statistics, US Department of Labor doesn't lie about the impact of Obamanomics on our economy.

As we all know, there is one tried and true formula to restore this nations economy: broad based tax cuts to businesses to spur investment and job growth, broad based tax cuts to all taxpayers to spur spending which will drive growth, and fiscal restraint in cutting Government spending and a strong dollar policy which will stop the impending hyper-inflationary growth in commodities such as food, gasoline/oil and gold. It was this precise mix of tax cuts and policies that grew the economy under President John F. Kennedy (D.) in the early 1960's, President Ronald Reagan (R) in the early 80's, and President George W. Bush (R) post 9-11-01 terrorist attacks.

As it stands right now, the parallels in policy between the Obama and failed Carter Administration of the mid to late 70's is unmistakeable. Like Carter, Obama is keeping the money presses going driving a loose money policy that will drive hyper-inflation and "stag flation" much like 1977 - 1981. Anyone alive during those times remembers double-digit unemployment, double-digit inflation, and double-digit inflation rates.

Obama can continue to ignore the proven lessons of this country's economic history and go down as a worse President than Jimmy Carter, or he can reverse course now and begin restoring our economy via tax cuts and fiscal restraint at the Federal level.

Given the Democrats are getting ready to add yet another $1.25 TRILLION dollars to our national debt via so-called "health care reform" it appears the Democrats are insistent on repeating the failed policies of the 1970's.

The Heroine Of Fort Hood

Meet Officer Kimberley Hunley, the police officer that put four bullets in islamic terrorist Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan and stopped him in his tracks from killing any more of our unarmed soldiers at Fort Hood, Texas.

Hunley's act of herism was credited by Lt. Gen. Robert Cone, Fort Hood's Commanding General as a "really a pretty amazing and aggressive performance by this police officer," Cone said.

Hunley herself was shot in the exchange of gunfire.

Cone was asked if Munley's shots brought down the assailant and stopped him from shooting.
"That's correct," Cone said. "The critical factor here was her quick response to the situation."

Our sincere appreciate goes out to Officer Kimberly Hunley for her selfless act of heroism, and godspeed for her speedy and full recovery from her injuries suffered in the line of fire. She is one of America's best.

Yelled “Allah Akbar” As He Opened Fire

A news report on KSL-TV, the NBC affiliate in Salt Lake City Utah last night documented a Fort Hood soldiers recollection of the opening of the tragic shooting there in which 12 of America’s best were brutally murdered and another 31 were injured.

Breaking news last night was that Maj. Nidal Malik Hassan, the Ft. Hood shooter was in fact not dead and in stable condition.

While there have not yet been additional confirmed reports that Hassan is indeed alive, if true we suggest Hassan immediately be subjected to Obama-Care, complete with denial of treatment and subject to the ruling of a Government Death Panel before receiving any medical care.

Assuming Hassan is still alive, I wonder if Obama will insist that he be tried in Federal Court rather than be subject to the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice) as Hassan should be, where he would in fact be subject to the death penalty.

After Obama’s bow to Saudi King Hussein earlier this year you can bet your last dollar that it’s not going to be much of a stretch for the “Smartest President We’ve Ever Had (Not!)” to be once again kissing the “Religion of Peace” arse once again.

Given Obama’s history of not backing our military (after all, they’ve been waiting for reinforcements in Afghanistan since July now!) its sadly, safe to say, that Hassan will be treated better than those he brutally murdered yesterday at Fort Hood.

On September 24th, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D. CA) was quoted in the lamestream media that she was “absolutely committed” to putting the text of any final House Bill on health care reform line for 72 hours before a House vote:

PELOSI: Absolutely. Without question.

Last night however, using the Fort Hood tragedy for air cover, Pelosi withdrew that pledge:

Pelosi Spokesman Brendan Daly (via email:) “No, the pledge was to have the managers amendment online for 72 hours, and we will do that.”

Pelosi has once again broken her word to leave the ‘final bill online, at the very end of the process’ pledge. This makes what, the fourth or fifth time the Speaker of the House has directly lied the House of Representatives and therefore the American people?

Just when will this Congress get a spine and impeach the Speaker of the House? Oh, that’s right, they won’t. They’re too busy following Obama’s orders to actually pay attention to the United States Constitution!

Obama-Care Requires Monthly Abortion ‘Premium’

2,032 Page Bill Has Taxpayer Funded Abortions

In Nancy Pelosi’s 2,032 page “Health Care Reform” bill, a provision requiring taxpayer funded abortions can be found on page 110, line 17, section 222 which reads:

Abortions for which Public Funding is allowed” The HHS (Health and Human Services) Secretary is given the authroity to determine when abortion is allowed under the government run plan (public option.)

The Speakers plan also requires that at least one private insurance plan offered in the Government “Public Exchange” covers abortion on demand.

Even more disturbing is that there is a monthly “abortion premium” that will be charged of all who enroll in a Government run plan.

That fact is on page 96, line 16 section 213 under “Insurance Rating Rules.”

The “abortion premium” will be paid to a U.S. Treasury account, which will be used to pay for abortion services. Section 213 also describes in detail the process by which a Government “Health Benefits Commissioner” is to access the U.S. Treasury account that will be used to pay for abortions.

Today more than 65% of Americans are against abortion on demand and against abortion in most cases except where the life of the mother is directly threatened. Surely these American’s do not want to be forced to pay for Government funded abortions.

Currently, federal appropriations bills include language known as the Hyde Amendment that prohibits the use of federal funds to pay for elective abortions under the Medicare and Medicaid programs, while another provision, known as the Smith Amendment, prohibits federal funding of abortion under the federal employees’ health benefits plan.

Speaker Pelosi’s 2,032-page health care monstrosity is an affront to the American people and drastically moves away from current policy. The American people deserve more from their government than being forced to pay for abortion.

Narcissist President Gives “Shout Out” Before Addressing Fort Hood Tragedy

The White House called a news conference this afternoon for Obama to address the tragedy in Fort Hood, Texas today in which 12 of our best and brightest Military were brutally murdered and another 31 injured by a radical islamic extremist.

The premise of the news conference was for Obama to extend his condolences to the families of those killed and injured at the hands of Army Major Nidal Malik Hassan, a muslim in the United States Military who was about to be deployed to Iraq.

Just when you think Obama couldn’t be any more disconnected from reality, ever the narcissist, Obama opens the news conference by lightheartedly thanking the Department of the Interior for a Conference that he attended. Giving a “shout out” to a Congressional Medal of Honor winner during time of tragedy in this country is about as class-less as one can possibly be.

It took Obama more than 2:30 seconds to actually begin talking about the shooting at Fort Hood.

Obama’s insincere comments about today’s murders of our Military just left me speechless, especially when one considers the fact that Obama has denied additional troops to Afghanistan at his own General’s requests since July of this year.

Obama doesn’t care about the Military, he cares about himself and “looking good” in public. His display today joking before talking about the tragedy just goes to show once again what a complete buffoon he is.

Going on record for today's elections in Virginia, New Jersey and NY-23

Virginia: Robert McDonnell has opened up such a wide lead, there's no way R. Creigh Deeds and ACORN can steal the election. Virginia which went for Obama in 2008 by less than 5% turns Red again today.

New Jersey: Cris Christie has a narrow lead against incumbent governor (D.) John Corzine. Obama was in New Jersey over the weekend campaigning for Corzine, calling him a key ally in the White House. This was the signal to ACORN that Obama's doubled down on New Jersey. Prediction: Despite a property tax revolt in New Jersey, Corzine wins in a scandal riddled election with more complaints of ACORN fraud.

New York 23: Polling data over the weekend indicated that Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman had opened up a 9-11 point lead over Democrat Bill Owens, however the timing of some of these polls, their mechanism and data haven't been released making them suspect in my view. Prediction: Doug Hoffman in a squeaker.

One might think that if these predictions are true, that this isn't necessarily a referendum on Barak Hussein Obama. Au Contraire, it most certainly is. It's also a referendum on the state of the Republican Party in the United States.

Here's why: There are two Conservatives and one "Moderate Republican" in these three races. The Conservatives are in Virginia and NY-23. The "Moderate Republican" is in New Jersey. Conservatives win their races, my prediction is the moderate does not.

Both Obama and the Republican Party best take note of these results.

Reagan’s Timeless Classic Applicable Today

This Tuesday, November 3rd may turn out to be an epic moment in American politics. It’s been one year since Obama’s “historic” election and it appears that the mood of the country has changed from Obama’s high flying rhetoric of “hope and change” to one of less government, less spending, less intrusion into American’s daily lives.

As any who’ve read this and other blogs surely knows by now, there are three key races this Tuesday which will dictate the tone of the 2010 elections. Those races are in Virginia, New Jersey and NY Congressional District #23.

In New Jersey, John Corzine (D) appears to be on his way out as Governor in favor of Chris Christie. The key issue here is property taxes which are amongst the highest in the country and still escalating. Corzine’s 55% disapproval rating doesn’t bode well for this Tuesday as new polling data shows Christie pulling ahead.

NY-23 in which the Republican Establishment mistakenly threw their weight and endorsement behind Dede Scozzafava, a pro-abortion, pro-union, ACORN endorsed candidate has now dropped out of the race as Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman has literally usurped her base and taken the lead in the race, in some measure due to endorsements by Sarah Palin – the first Conservative leader to endorse Hoffman.

With less than 2 days to go, Robert McDonnell has opened an insurmountable lead of 15 points against Democrat R. Creigh Deeds in the race for Governor of Virginia. The Obama Administration dumped millions of dollars into this race and sent key advisors like David Axelrod to try and save Deeds’ campaign. Now that they’ve failed, they’re distancing themselves from Deeds and claiming that none of these three races really matter anyway.

Let me tell you why they matter: Each of these races pits a Conservative candidate against a liberal “hope and change” Democrat following Obama’s campaign model of 2008. As we see in Obama’s own unfavorable ratings which today hit 49% that message no longer resonates with the American people.

We’ve seen first hand Obama’s “vision for America” which is full of double-digit unemployment and underemployment, skyrocketing budget deficits of $1.5 Trillion/year as far as the eye can see, and government seizure of key industries such as Banking, the Automobile Industry and now health care. American’s of both political parties don’t like what they see.

Tea Parties anyone? More than 2,000,000 people protest in Washington DC on September 12th and the Obama Approved Media ignores it. At their own peril mind you. Meanwhile the Obama administration fails to acknowledge the grievances of millions of Americans and the advice of his own Generals in Afghanistan as the war effort there begins to crumble.

These three races matter alright, they’re a direct referendum on Obama and his now demonstrably failed policies, pitting Conservatism against Liberalism. The fact that the White House is now trying to downplay the outcomes of these three, key races speaks volumes.

This week marked the 45th anniversary of Reagan’s “A Time for Choosing” speech, we present it to you today ahead of Tuesday’s elections as it’s relevancy has never mattered more than it does today.

Scozzafava Drops Out of NY 23

With her support fading by the hour, the Republican establishment candidate Dede Scozzafava (pro abortion, pro union, pro gay marriage, ACORN endorsed) dropped out of the special election in NY 23, leaving the race to Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman, and liberal Democrat Bill Owens.

Hoffman was endorsed by Sarah Palin, Fred Thompson and other Conservative Republican stalwarts. Scozzafava was endorsed by Newt Gingrich, who backed the Republican Party machine.

With Hoffman pulling away Scozzafava’s support in the remaining days of the campaign and Scozzafava’s support dropping by the hour, the race is now set to be a referendum on more big government spending and sending Owens to Congress, or the country learning to live within its means via Hoffman.

As of this morning, Owens and Hoffman were in a statistical dead heat at 35% with Scozzafava polling at 20 after having led the race as recently as 3 weeks ago.

Ken Spain, the campaign spokesman for the NRCC said Scozzafava will now ‘release her supporters’ to vote for Hoffman this Tuesday.

Voters in NY-23 now have a clear choice on Tuesday: they can elect to continue big government spending under Barack Obama, or they can opt to return the country to some semblance of fiscal responsibility and vote for Doug Hoffman.

We wait with baited breath for the results Tuesday night.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) -- Three shots fired at a federal courthouse in Oregon late Wednesday or early Thursday hit windows in U.S. Rep. Peter DeFazio's office, while a fourth shot hit a wall above the office, the FBI said.

No one was in the second-floor office at the time, and the Democratic congressman's staffers in Eugene found the damage when they arrived for work Thursday morning.

Investigators believe the shots were fired between 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday, FBI spokeswoman Beth Anne Steele said, adding they're not certain that DeFazio's office was the intended target.

''Right now, our biggest concern is determining why this happened,'' Steele said, adding the FBI doesn't know whether the shooter or shooters were trying to hurt anyone. ''We're obviously taking this very seriously.''

DeFazio spokeswoman Molly Simmons confirmed the congressman was in Washington, D.C., at the time.

Editors Note: No idea why shots would be fired at a Liberal Democrat Congressman’s office, who consistently votes to take away the rights of American’s via “health care reform”, “cap and trade” and the takeovers of the automobile and banking industry. Democrat Plan To Kill Private Insurance Alive & Well ….

Just when the Tea Parties ended and America thought the “public option” and government run health care seemed to be dead, along comes a 1,990 page monstrosity called “Health Care Reform” which includes all the things the Democrats said it wouldn’t. Public Option. Death Panels. Taxpayer funded abortions. $500,000,000 in cuts to Medicare, and more.

The Democrats plan has always been to kill private health insurance and control the American public via the health care delivery system. Just look at the ‘great job’ the Federal Government is doing in delivering H1N1 flu shots. The Obama Administration said in August that more than 120,000,000 flu shots would be available by this time.

To date, less than 10,000,000 have been delivered. With each passing day and new government initiative (think: Cash for Clunkers) the Federal Government demonstrates how it mismanages our hard earned taxpayer dollars, then simply turns around and demands more to “fix the problem.” Now the Federal Government says that flu shots will be available by “mid November” about the time the virus will reach its peak, and that’s too late.

Yet, there are still those in this country who advocate for a Government run health care program. Are these people completely stupid? (Rhetorical question.)

It has always been Obama’s and the Democrats plan to seize control of health care. They’ve wanted control since 1939 to complete FDR’s “great mission.” Obama and the Democrats can deny all they want that their intent isn’t to take over health care, the proof is in the pudding, and here it is.

Pelosi Denies Public Access To “Health Care Reform Announcement”

First, the American Public has every God Given Right to be on public property when a monstrosity called “health care reform” is being announced by the very people who SERVE US.

Second, these MORONS in Congress think we exist to serve THEM. They have it backwards. No wonder people are getting upset and shooting out windows (see story above.)

Third, this monstrosity of “health care reform” is over 1,990 pages in length and cost us, the U.S. Taxpayer almost $2 million dollars per word to produce. (Again, see story #1 above as to why people are so angry at this congress!)

Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are conspiring to turn each and every one of us into their own personal tax slaves, subjugating us to the will of the Federal Government. Thankfully people are beginning to wake up, which is demonstrated in both their personal approval ratings, well below 30% in every major poll. Congress’ ratings aren’t so great either, less than 25% approve, more than 60% disapprove of this Congress.

Think We’re Finally Pulling Out of Recession?

Think Again! 3.3% GDP Growth in Q3 Was An Aberration

The Federal Government reported yesterday that the economy actually grew in the third quarter of this year at 3.3%, thus ending the recession.

Ahhh, but wait. What grew and where? The clues are as obvious as the nose on your face: Automobiles and Housing.

Now why did Automobiles and Housing grow?

Cash for Clunkers, which the government thinks was a wild success actually cost the American Taxpayer about $24,000 per car, not the $4,500 the Federal Government said, according to Edmunds.Com’s CEO Jeremy Anwell.

For this revelation, the Obama White House decides to pick a fight with the best, most used car site on the Internet. Once again, Obama tries to destroy those that disagree with him, or prove him and his policies wrong.

On the housing front, there’s been a major influx of new buyers in the market once again in large part “thanks” to a government program that gives $8,000 of taxpayer money to “first time homebuyers.”

Now the problem: Who were many of these first time homebuyers? Few of them were actually “first timers”, many of them were people purchasing second or third homes – in their children’s names, in their Trust’s names, in their Estate’s names and in some cases – in their PETS NAMES! Here we have another Government program fraught with fraud with no checks and balances to make sure the program is actually working the way it’s intended.

Yesterday Obama trumpted “the recession is over!” citing GDP growth in the third quarter of this year. The problem is, the “growth” came at huge expense to the American Taxpayers and is not sustainable absent true economic growth driven by consumer and business spending – not Government spending!

That won’t happen until the Obama Administration turns off the money presses and stops deflating the value of the American dollar. Everyone but Obama sees the hyper-inflation on the horizon which is why people are hoarding dollars. The savings rate in this country has hit a historically high 8% which is more than any European country.

The reason the savings rate is so high is driven by the Obama money presses and the fact that the American People remember the hyper-inflation of the 70’s under Jimmy Carter.

The economy isn’t getting better, it’s about to get a whole lot worse under this, the Worst President in the History of the Country.

Unemployment & Underemployment Near 18%

Once again, proof the economy isn’t getting better. The Bureau of Labor & Statistics now shows the actual unemployment and under-employment rate near 18% across much of the country, HIGHER in some places such as Detroit, much of Michigan, parts of Ohio, Indiana and California.

THESE ARE DEPRESSION ERA UNEMPLOYMENT RATES!!!!!!

This despite a “drop” in the number of “new claims” for unemployment which is nothing more than a statistical aberration driven by the number of people falling off the unemployment roles because they’ve exhausted their benefits.

Don’t look for the Obama Administration or the Democrats to extend benefits anytime soon, they need to drive the unemployment rate down by any means necessary to make the economy look better than it actually is.

Think anyone in the “mainstream” media is going to catch onto that fact? Don’t hold your breath.

The True Cost of ObamaCare Finally Released

Higher Taxes, lower wages, fewer jobs, lower standard of living, and less freedom.

While I’ve said these things repeatedly here on the blog and elsewhere (ie: chat) the above are the conclusions of a study by the National Center for Public Policy Research, policy analyst Matt Peterson.

In a just released report titled: No Free Lunch: The True Cost of ObamaCare”, Peterson concludes “Instead of providing ‘affordable’ health care for everybody, ObamaCare will in fact lead to dramatically higher health insurance premiums, higher taxes, reduced Medicare benefits, lower wages and fewer jobs for low and middle-income Americans.”

Quoting the report:

Higher Taxes - ObamaCare would be paid for with massive tax increases, amounting to an estimated increased tax burden of $2.3 trillion in the coming decades.

Lower Wages/Fewer Jobs - New taxes and fees imposed on businesses by ObamaCare would result in fewer jobs and lower wages for low- and middle-income workers.

Standard of Living - The massive government spending required would explode the federal deficit with ruinous consequences for every American's standard of living.

Medicare Benefits - ObamaCare aims to pay for itself, in part, with hundreds of billions in devastating cuts to Medicare and Medicare Advantage.

Privacy - ObamaCare regulations would result in a larger, more powerful IRS and ensure that more personal information is shared with more people.

Your Freedom - ObamaCare would require, under threat of penalty, every American to have insurance whether they want or need it.

Peterson’s report confirms what the Congressional Budget Office’s findings last month which estimated that ObamaCare would explode the Federal Deficit by another $1.5 TRILLION dollars a year, continuing as far as the eye can see.

For those who advocate for a ‘single payer’ system or ‘government option’ I have a question for you: The Obama Administration promised last month that there would be 120,000,000 doses of H1N1 flu shots available by this time. This morning, CNN and MSNBC (both “Obama Approved” media outlets) reported that less than 3,000,000 shots were available for the general public. Given the Federal Government’s “stellar” job in getting less than 3,000,000 shots available to the public, what in the blue hell makes you think they can deliver health care effectively?

You who have eyes, do not see that the Federal Government is oft the problem, and never the solution. Reagan was right – again.

"You have to read all the way to page A-25 in today’s New York Times to learn about it, but the Senate took its first floor vote on Obamacare yesterday and the White House lost. Big. The NYT reports: “Democrats lost a big test vote on health care legislation on Wednesday as the Senate blocked action on a bill to increase Medicare payments to doctors at a cost of $247 billion over 10 years. The Senate majority leader, Harry Reid, Democrat of Nevada, needed 60 votes to proceed. He won only 47. And he could not blame Republicans. A dozen Democrats and one independent crossed party lines and voted with Republicans on the 53 to 47 roll call.”

As we reported on Monday and Tuesday, yesterday’s “doc fix” (a $247 billion “payout” to doctors) vote was part of a White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel strategy to smooth passage of President Barack Obama’s $1 trillion-plus health care overhaul by transferring a quarter of its cost into a separate, and completely unpaid for, bill. This transparently dishonest shell game was too much for honest Democratic Senators like Evan Bayh (D-IN), Kent Conrad (D-ND), Russ Feingold (D-WI), Claire McCaskill (D-MO), Bill Nelson (D-FL), and Ron Wyden (D-OR). Wyden told the NYT: “On the eve of a historic debate on health care, it’s essential to show a commitment to real reform,” which includes fiscal responsibility.

Yesterday’s vote marks a significant failure of the Left’s special interest approach to passing Obamacare. From the beginning, the White House thought that if it bought off all of the business interests involved (the American Medical Association, the drug industry, health insurers, hospitals, etc.) opposition to the plan would whither. In one sense, the plan worked. USA Today reports PhRMA, Pfizer, America’s Health Insurance Plans, and the Federation of American Hospitals have all ponied up millions of dollars for lobbying and television ads in support of Obamacare.

But all these special interest television ads failed to rid Americans of their common sense objections to Obamacare’s government takeover of health care. Gallup reports today that Americans now more than ever believe the costs their family pays for health care will get worse if Obamacare passes. And more Americans now believe that Obamacare will lower the quality of care they receive, reduce their health care coverage, and complicate the insurance company requirements they have to meet to get certain treatments covered.

Instead of the massive overhaul being pursued by the White House, a solid majority of Americans tell Gallup they want to see Congress move in the opposite direction. By 58% to 38%, Americans would generally prefer to see Congress deal with health care reform “on a gradual basis over several years” rather than “try to pass a comprehensive health care reform plan this year.” Bipartisan, fiscally responsible, reform such as equalizing the tax treatment of health insurance purchases, freeing customers to purchase health insurance across state lines, and allowing states more flexibility on Medicaid spending are readily doable. And that is what the people want.

At the end of the day, all Republican’s and 13 Democrats led by Senator Bobby Byrd (D. W. VA) voted against cloture which would’ve ended debate on the Senate floor and forced a vote.

Byrd was also the first Senator (of either party) to question the Constitutionality of Obama’s “Czars.” As Obama looks to consolidate power in the White House, the Senate’s most senior member, and fellow Democrat Byrd stands in Obama’s way of elevating executive power above the Senate Chamber. In short, Byrd is protecting the Senate’s power against the White House and this is as it should be.

If Obama thinks he can get in a pissing match with Byrd and win, he’s got another thing coming. Constitutionally speaking, Bobby Byrd will kick Obama’s ass up and down Pennsylvania avenue.

The Doctors Are Out …

66% Oppose “ObamaCare”

A recent IBD/TIPP Poll showed two-thirds of physicians opposing Congress' proposed reforms, and warning of dire consequences. Now, a forum of prominent doctors has amplified those concerns.

Of 1,376 doctors responding in late August, 65% opposed Congress' reform plans; 45% said enactment would make them consider leaving their practice or take early retirement; and 67% expected fewer students to apply to medical schools.

Some 65% also felt seniors would end up with lower-quality care under a government plan; 71% didn't think it possible for the government to cover 47 million more people and cut costs while also delivering better quality care; finally, 60% of physicians didn't think that under a government plan, drug companies would have incentives to continue developing as many lifesaving new medicines.

America's doctors know their patients better than politicians do. And the hostility seen in these poll results was mirrored by virtually all of the 15 esteemed physicians from the New York metropolitan area gathered by former New York state Lt. Gov. Betsy McCaughey for a Forum on Medical Excellence Monday evening.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was vilified by Washington politicians for coining the term "death panels" to describe the government bureaucracies that would intrude in life-and-death decisions regarding the allocation of resources under the proposed government takeover of our health system.

Have you heard the news? President Obama inherited an economic mess from the Bush administration.

You say that's hardly news? But it's been the message sounded over and over by the White House. Top Obama adviser David Axelrod said on one of the Sunday news shows, "He walked in the door, we had the worst economy since the Great Depression." In San Francisco, Obama talked of being "busy with our mop." White House heavy hitter Rahm Emanuel used the worst-economy-since-the-Depression line on a public TV news show.

You'd think it's October 2008, the final month in the Obama presidential candidacy, rather than October 2009, nine months into the Obama presidency. Yet the Obama White House is in full campaign mode -- maybe because it needs to mask the shortcomings of the Obama presidency.

Take, for example, all the talk of inheriting the worst economy since the 1930s crisis. That came in response to the news that the federal deficit hit $1.4 trillion.

Yet just a few months ago, the Obama camp was singing a little different tune. It was under criticism for the $787 billion stimulus package it bulldozed through Congress on grounds that massive spending was needed to keep the unemployment rate from breaching 8 percent. When joblessness hit 9.5 percent in June, Vice President Joe Biden said, "We misread how bad the economy was."

They inherited the worst economy since the Great Depression, or the economy turned out to be worse than they thought. Which is it? It can't be both -- unless your brain is completely addled by the Obama charisma.

Obama is still popular, but polls show the public losing faith in his policies. Another indicator was a ''Saturday Night Live'' skit lampooning Obama for the major accomplishments of his administration -- "jack and squat." If the honeymoon is ending with the American voter, it isn't for obsequious elements of the mainstream media. CNN prostrated itself by fact-checking the ''SNL'' comedy skit.

But that's harmless compared to the virulent campaign against Obama critics carried out by the denizens of MSNBC. Its Obama acolytes seek to demonize opponents of Obama's policies by focusing on most marginal corners of right-wing politics like, for example, the "birthers" who deny Obama is a natural born citizen. The larger scheme is to imply Obama critics are racists.

That's the backdrop to the story of Rush Limbaugh getting booted from a group bidding to buy the St. Louis Rams. He was smeared on CNN and MSNBC with false accusations of making two racist comments. He is an abrasive critic of Obama, so he must be racist, or so goes the left-wing story line. I wouldn't defend everything Limbaugh has ever said, but lies were used to blacklist him from professional football for his political views.

Recently an MSNBC personality accused the U.S. Chamber of Commerce of lobbying for policies that amount to being "treasonous to this country." Remember how liberals roared in outrage at any hint of their patriotism being questioned for criticizing the Iraq War? Well, it's the left that doesn't shy from attacking the patriotism of those it dislikes. Recall the repulsive Moveon.org "General Betray-us" ad against Iraq commander Gen. David Petraeus. Recent opposition to Chicago's Olympic bid was cast as a sign of a lack of patriotism among Obama critics.

The MSNBC blast against the chamber appears to dovetail with what the Politico newspaper reports is a White House and Democratic effort "to marginalize" the business organization. That echoes the administration assault on the Fox News Channel: It says Fox isn't a news organization.

The White House trying to dictate who's a news organization. Democrats out to gut a business group. Obama media allies damning Americans as racist, unpatriotic and treasonous. Is this the America Obama promised when he campaigned to end the cynical and divisive politics of the past?

Editor: I'd given up on buying much less reading the Chicago newspapers because they've been so far in the tank for Obama it's been sickening. So imagine my surpise today when I pick up a leftover newspaper on the commuter train home from the City this evening and see the above article in the Sun Times. I wonder if the Obama Administration is now going to tell the rest of the newspapers around the country to ignore the Chicago Sun-Times because it isn't "real" journalism (read that: So far up Obama's ass they can't see daylight anymore.) If I were Steve Huntley, I'd hire someone to start my car in the morning. Surely the Obama Chicago style political thugs aren't going to like this article ...

FCC Set To Give Obama Keys to Internet

Glenn Beck reported today that the Federal Communications Commission is set to give Obama control of the Internet.

The "rationale" behind these new FCC Regulations will be to "protect consumers from false or misleading information." In passing the regulations, the FCC is not permitting any public comment or input.

In related news, the Obama Administration is now backing a Newspaper Industry bailout, to prevent long time publishers from going under as a result of the recession. Wait, is it a recession, or is it simply that the general public recognizes a White House Driven propaganda machine and has chosen not to support it? Either way, the Obama Administration has decided to financially burden we taxpayers on the progressive media's behalf so that we get "the real news", or that is to say, the news the Obama Administration wants us to get.

I report, you decide.

In more related news, the White House admitted the other day that the American Media (save for Fox News) is in the pocket of the Obama Administration and is directly following the administrations orders.

Here we have Anita Dunn speaking via videotape to a Dominican Republic government conference.

"Very rarely did we communicate through the press anything that we didn't absolutely control," said Dunn.

"One of the reasons we did so many of the David Plouffe videos was not just for our supporters, but also because it was a way for us to get our message out without having to actually talk to reporters," said Dunn, referring to Plouffe, who was Obama's chief campaign manager.

"We just put that out there and made them write what Plouffe had said as opposed to Plouffe doing an interview with a reporter. So it was very much we controlled it as opposed to the press controlled it," Dunn said.

Dunn has been under fire since she led a White House campaign last week against Fox News, claiming the top-rated news network (which beats CNN, CNN Headline News, MSNBC, CNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS nightly newscasts combined) was an "arm of the Republican Party" and "opinion journalism masquerading as news."

Fox News' response? You can see for yourself, in her own words, where Anita Dunn says Mao Tse-tung was her idol:

So why is the Obama Administration working so hard to get the "keys to the Internet" so they can shut it down and to squelch Fox News? Rule #1 in a Socialist take-over is to squelch all opposition. Once the media is controlled feeding the people only what the Administration wants it to hear, then they can do anything un-checked.

All I can say at this point is Joseph Goebbels would be proud of Obama, Anita Dunn, and the willing co-whores in the Media at CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC.

Thankfully Fox News isn't folding, and American's who desire true journalism have turned to Fox for the truth they can't find anywhere else.

His Foreign Policy Brings to Mind Jimmy Carter

Weakness in American foreign policy in one region often invites challenges elsewhere, because our adversaries carefully follow diminished American resolve. Similarly, presidential indecisiveness, whether because of uncertainty or internal political struggles, signals that the United States may not respond to international challenges in clear and coherent ways.

Taken together, weakness and indecisiveness have proved historically to be a toxic combination for America's global interests. That is exactly the combination we now see under President Obama. If anything, his receiving the Nobel Peace Prize only underlines the problem.

All of Obama's campaign and inaugural talk about "extending an open hand" and "engagement," especially the multilateral variety, isn't exactly unfolding according to plan. Entirely predictably, we see more clearly every day that diplomacy is not a policy but only a technique. Absent presidential leadership, which at a minimum means clear policy direction and persistence in the face of criticism and adversity, engagement simply embodies weakness and indecision.

Obama is no Harry Truman. At best, he is reprising Jimmy Carter. At worst, the real precedent may be Ethelred the Unready, the turn-of the-first-millennium Anglo-Saxon king whose reputation for indecisiveness and his unsuccessful paying of Danegeld -- literally, "Danish tax" -- to buy off Viking raiders made him history's paradigmatic weak leader.

Beyond the disquiet (or outrage for some) prompted by the president's propensity to apologize for his country's pre-Obama history, Americans increasingly sense that his administration is drifting from one foreign policy mistake to another. Worse, the current is growing swifter, and the threats more pronounced, even as the administration tries to turn its face away from the world and toward its domestic priorities. Foreign observers, friend and foe alike, sense the same aimlessness and drift. French President Nicolas Sarkozy had to remind Obama at a Sept. 24 U.N. Security Council meeting that "we live in the real world, not a virtual one."
Examples of weakness abound, and the consequences are readily foreseeable.

Canceling the Polish and Czech missile defense bases is understood in Moscow and Eastern European capitals as backing down in the face of Russian bluster and belligerence. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev threatened the day after our 2008 election to deploy missiles targeting these assets unless they were canceled, a threat duly noted by the Russian media when Obama canceled the sites.

Given candidate Obama's reaction to the 2008 Russia-Georgia war -- calling on both sides to exercise restraint -- there is little doubt that Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's project to re-extend Russian hegemony over as much of the former Soviet Union as he can will continue apace. Why should he worry about Washington?

Obama's Middle East peace process has stalled, most recently because he set a target for an end to Israeli settlement expansion, couldn't meet it and then proceeded as though he hadn't meant what he said originally. By insisting that Israel freeze settlements as a precondition to renewing Israeli-Palestinian negotiations, Obama drew a clear line. But when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu withstood Obama's pressure, Obama caved, hosting a photo-op with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas that strengthened Netanyahu and weakened Abbas just when Obama wanted to achieve exactly the opposite. However one views the substantive outcome of this vignette, Obama himself looked the weakest of all. It could well be years before his Middle East policy gets back up off the ground.

On nuclear nonproliferation, North Korea responded to the "open hand" of engagement by testing its second nuclear device, continuing an aggressive ballistic missile testing program, cooperating with other rogue states and kidnapping and holding hostage two American reporters. Obama's reaction is to press for more negotiations, which simply encourages Pyongyang to up the ante.

Iran is revealed to have been long constructing an undeclared, uninspected nuclear facility that makes a mockery of almost seven years of European Union negotiation efforts. Forced to deal publicly with this deeply worrying threat, Obama proposes the equivalent of money-laundering for nuclear threats: Iranian uranium enriched in open, unambiguous defiance of four Security Council resolutions will be enriched to higher levels in Russia, and then returned to be burned in a Tehran reactor -- ostensibly for peaceful purposes. Sarkozy again captured the growing international incredulity in his noteworthy Security Council speech: "I support America's 'extended hand.' But what have these proposals for dialogue produced for the international community? Nothing but more enriched uranium and more centrifuges."

Finally, Obama's agonizing, very public reappraisal of his own 7-month-old Afghanistan policy epitomizes indecisiveness. While there is no virtue in sustaining policy merely for continuity's sake, neither is credit due for too-quickly adopting policies without appreciating the risks entailed and then fleeing precipitously when the risks become manifest. The administration's stated reason for its policy re-evaluation was widespread fraud in Afghanistan's Aug. 20 presidential election. But this explanation is simply not credible. Did not the administration's generals and diplomats on the ground, not to mention United Nations observers, see the election mess coming? Was the Hamid Karzai administration's cupidity and corruption overlooked or ignored during Obama's original review and revision of his predecessor's policy?

The unmistakable inference is that Obama did not carefully think through his March Afghan policy, or did not have full confidence then or now in Army Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal or Ambassador Richard C. Holbrooke, or that it is now politically inconvenient among increasingly antiwar Democrats to follow through on that policy.
None of these explanations reflect credit on the president. He is dithering. Whatever decision Obama reaches on Afghanistan, his credibility and leadership have been badly wounded by his continuing public display of indecisiveness.

Our international adversaries undoubtedly welcome all of these "resets" in U.S. foreign policy, but Americans should be appalled at how much of our posture in the world has already been given away. If Obama's first nine months indicate the direction of the next 39, we still have a long way to fall.

The Democrats know they’re in trouble, and time is not on their side. They know if they lose key Governor’s races in New Jersey and elsewhere this November, that the jig is up on their socialist agenda. That’s why they’re going to try and “race this through” the voters of this country be damned.

Do we need anymore proof that the Democrats hate America as well as you and I, the citizens of this country? Obama, Reid, Pelosi certainly know what’s best for us and they’re upset that we don’t just bend to their will!

Nuclear Option Means Only 51 Votes Required To Pass

House Ways & Means Committee Chairman Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.) held a hearing this morning to certify that H.R. 3200 -- the main House Obamacare bill which was the subject of all the town hall rage in August -- has met all requirements to pass as a “budget reconciliation” measure.

Under reconciliation, the bill can be passed by a simple majority vote in the Senate -- just 51 votes -- and will be given preferential treatment on the House floor as well. The Dems have apparently invoked the “nuclear option” to shut out Republicans and ensure the bill is passed before the end of the year.

The bill certified for “reconciliation” is the Ways & Means version of H.R. 3200 that was passed out of committee before the August break, and before it was read aloud at town hall meetings across the country and blasted by voters across the country.

It contains all of the horrors previously exposed: federal funding of abortion, coverage for illegal aliens, comparative effectiveness, healthcare rationing, deep cuts to Medicare. Everything the American people overwhelmingly reject.

No amendments were allowed at the hearing and no debate. Rangel told Rep. Dave Camp (R-Mich.), the ranking Republican on the committee, that he would not have preferred to do it this way, but leadership -- i.e., Speaker Pelosi -- forced his hand.

While the media cameras are focused on Harry Reid’s office door, the House of Representatives has made it possible for H.R. 3200 to pass the Senate with 51 votes. It is still possible that Senator Reid won’t choose to use reconciliation in the Senate, but the odds against it are infinitesimal.

Since it has now cleared the Ways and Means Committee (fulfilling the $1 billion reconciliation requirement), H.R. 3200 will go to the Budget Committee where they will do the same thing that was done today in Ways & Means. They will agree that the bill has met the reconciliation requirements on a straight party line vote.

The bill then goes to Pelosi and the Rules Committee where Pelosi will do the same thing Reid is doing right now: merge the three House versions of H.R. 3200 together into whatever she wants it to be, then she will schedule it for a floor vote.

H.R. 3200 could see a floor vote in the next two weeks, or the first week of November. If it passes, the House it goes to the Senate and can pass there with 51 votes.

More evidence of the economy having “improved” since Obama took office? Hardly.

Obama said yesterday that the economy has improved since he took office in January of this year. Yesterday we posted that the unemployment rate is nearly 3% higher on a national average since he took office, and in some states more than 5% – 7% higher than when Obama seized the White House.

We also posted yesterday that according to the Department of Labor, an additional 5,500,000 (an average of 550,000 a month) have lost their jobs since Obama seized the White House in January of this year.

Today, we hear that home foreclosures went up an additional 5% in the Summer to Fall quarter of 2009, for a grand total of 15% over 2008’s record foreclosure rate, the last year of the Bush Administration.

Only in a liberal democrat panty waste land does rising unemployment, more unemployed, and more homeless mean a “better” economy.

Now the question is: Better for WHO? If you’re Barack Hussein Obama and you’ve already seized control of Wall Street, the Banking System, the Automobile Industry and are now seeking to gain control of the National Health Care system, the news couldn’t better for you!

Unfortunately for the rest of us who live in the real world outside the Washington D.C. bubble, we’re witnessing an abysmal failure of this Presidency at record speed, faster than the demonstrably failed Jimmy Carter Administration.

Says Economy “Better Than When He Took Office”

When Barack Obama took over the White House, the unemployment rate was just over 7.5%. Today, in many states the unemployment rate is over 10%, exceeding 12% – 14% in some urban areas such as Detroit, Chicago and elsewhere.

Since January 2009, an average of 550,000 jobs have been lost since the Obama Administration seized power. That’s 5,500,000 jobs lost since Obama took office.

Yet, the economy is better today than it was when he took office? Only a liberal, socialist democrat can claim job losses and higher unemployment equals a better economy!

ACORN Has NOT Been De-Funded By Congress!

In the wake of the ACORN Pimp-Prostitution scandals last month, I wrote that Congress’ vote to de-fund ACORN was a joke, mostly because ACORN has some 300+ shell organizations, each of which gets their own funding from the Federal Government.

As Congress voted to de-fund ACORN, they did absolutely nothing about all the shell organizations under ACORN. Since I wrote that blog entry, time has born my statement to be true.

But now comes word that Congress pulled a complete “CYA” (Cover Your Arse) move when they “de-funded” acorn. Michelle Bachmann recently spoke out on KTLK in Minnesota and blew the lid off that Congress’ moratorium on funding ACORN expires on … Halloween.

Do we need more proof that it’s time to drain the swamp? Both Democrats AND Republicans voted to ‘de-fund’ ACORN temporarily, until American’s took their eyes off them, only to re-instate funding beginning November 1st.

If we the American Electorate are dumb enough to return any House or Senate member (save for Michelle Bachman) to Congress in the 2010 elections, we truly will get the government we deserve.

Scenes From Detroit “Stimulus” Giveaway

Earlier this week, a promise of “federal cash assistance” (read that: free money) brought some 60,000 residents of Detroit flocking to Cobo Hall creating sheer pandemonium.

These pictures speak volumes about the desperation in arguably this country’s poorest city – Detroit where one in three people live in complete poverty, and nearly 30% are unemployed.

150 police were called to the scene after rumors that “free cash” was being given out.

The line stretched for blocks causing the crowd to press forward to get to the building before the “free cash” ran out. Six people were taken to the hospital for injuries incurred as a result of the pandemonium that occurred.

Once inside, applications were given out to “apply for assistance.” Only 5,000 applications were available and only 3,400 people would actually receive some form of assistance from the Federal Government.

By the second day, more than 60,000 Detroit residents applied for federal assistance. Those who applied were never told that aid would be available to those making less than $35,000 per year, and only for about 3,400 families.

This is Obama’s America. Where you and I are desperate and dependent on the Federal Government for our daily sustenance.

The same Obama Administration that couldn’t run “cash for clunkers” or this “federal aid giveaway” properly wants to control our healthcare. Imagine, waiting in a mob like setting such as the above to see a doctor.

Yep, Obama’s America alright.

At this point I can only conclude that the Nobel Peace Prize Committee played a very bad joke on Obama and that the narcissistic jerk hasn’t figured it out yet. Fortunately, much of the rest of the world has:

London Times: "Rarely has an award had such an obvious political and partisan intent. It was clearly seen by the Norwegian Nobel committee as a way of expressing European gratitude for an end to the Bush Administration.’

The 1983 Laureate, Lech Walesa: "Who, Obama? So fast? Too fast - he hasn't had the time to do anything yet," Walesa told reporters in Warsaw.

Associated Press finally writing about how Obama's more hope than accomplishment: "The Nobel committee, it seems, had the audacity to hope that he'll eventually produce a record worthy of its prize."

Marc Haines of CNBC: "Despite bombing the MOON, President Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize."

Andrew Moylan: "Today's Nobel Prize announcement: clear evidence that the Nobel committee is a strong believer in the doctrine of pre-emptive action."

White House Aide: ""It's not April 1, is it?"

And finally, the inevitable Jimmy Carter quote:

"Former President Jimmy Carter says the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to President Barack Obama is a 'bold statement of international support for his vision and commitment.'"

Well at least he didn’t call them a bunch of racists.

Obama's Justice Department Has A "Blogging Team?"

Are we being watched by big brother in cyberspace? Yes we are, according to two other blogs, The Muffled Oar which broke the story that the Washington Post reported just today.

The Dept. of Justice has hired a team of left-wing bloggers to "influence the blogsphere and online media" by posting positive comments about the Community Organizer in Chief whenever they find "negative" (or should we say "fishy") tories about Obama.

Who are these professional left-wing bloggers? One is none other than Tracy Russo, the former campaign blogger for John Edwards, the DNC and finally the Obama Campaign before taking an "official" position with the Department of Justice under Eric Holder.

This is a government run propaganda machine, attempting to propagandize the blogosphere on behalf of the Obama Administration, of this there can be no doubt. Using left-wing bloggers allows the Obama administration to preserve the left leaning blog community as an activist base to support Obama policies. Engagement with the centrist media and right wing online community allows government officials to rebut stories they disagree with directly. Who is paying for this government-wide effort?: You and I are, and the Obama Adminsitration is about to make a serious attempt to fully infiltrate anti-Obama blogs and social networks. Here's the most important part of the Washington Post story:

White House New Media Director Macon Phillips has coordinated the hiring of online and social media experts like Roberts to redesign or launch Web 2.0 offerings across the government and update and maintain the pages for their respective agencies. Phillips' office also keeps a list of potential candidates to hire once other agencies are ready to make the jump, according to an applicant familiar with the process.

So once again we have the lamestream media in this country failing to do their jobs. Any news organization worth their salt would be issuing Freedom Of Information Act requests for all communications between these left wing (government hired) bloggers and all Federal Agencies they spoke to. Additionally, they would obtain the names, salaries and staffing numbers of any so called "blogging team" for the Justice Department.

By the way, whoever the "Czar" is over the "blogosphere" should also be FIRED summarily with extreme prejudice.
