At Crafts u love on Saturday 24th May, we will be doing Penny Black Critters, I shall be making a voucher/stamped image folder, and other cards using the new Critters stamps....

Also on the 21st June I shall be demoing and teaching a class on the new Rachelle Anne Miller Designs called Ladybug, I shall be making cards with a Hidden element, so if ya about come along it would be lovely to see ya's.....

Later tonight I shall be showing all the handmade cards I have received, and fabby pressies too!!! So HUGE thanks to all... and thankyou for your birthday wishes too!!!

Well today I recieved a call from a holiday company that were in WHSmiths atr bluewater doing a raffle draw, and guess what!!!! Apparantkly I have won a 7 day holiday to Spain, Portgual, Canary islands, or cornwell!!! Mmmmmmm never sure about these things, but hey the number I have to call is a freephone so won't get ripped off calling to find out!!!! So watch this space...

Also I have been asked to design cards for a well known company for them to show on Create and craft to show what you can make with their fab products and also to go on their website!!!! Lili of the valley...... I shall later put a link on the side for this company, I am at the moment making Fathers day cards for their website so keep ya eyes peeled......

You know at the moment I am feeling very fortunate and pleased that my life has some luck and happiness in it for a change.....

Two in one today, Claudia over at Pretty pressing's has a sketch going on, and a beautiful card to inspire you to have ago, so I did, and the theme over at Cute card Thursday is IN THE GARDEN,

I bought the stamp on ebay, it's a discontinued cherished moments (i think) from Stampendous isn't it beautiful.....

The patterned paper is from Crate paper, a bit busy I know but just fell in love with it , mini message from craftworkcards, and pearlised brads from dovecraft...

Well this card is a three in one,or shall I say four in one, I am gonna say, it's reflecting my mood at the mo I want to go out and stamp in the rain thats pouring outside.... and as I writing this Frank Lampard has just scored through a penalty, took his black armband off and Tearfully kissed it for his beloved Mum.... Ohhhh now that has made me cry.....

I have had a right week of it so far.... Beginning with My Daughter always using my GHD'S , always dumps em on the floor when she has finished never putting em back from wence they came, this time she chucked em on the floor just inside the spare room and I goes and steps on em, yep they are smashed to smives, I have got to say I was sooo mad, I were shaking and hyperventalating, flaming hundred quid in tatters, and winnie can't see that she has had a hand in it, blaming me that she can't do HER hair, ain't she lucky she ain't got a bonce like mine....

Then the heating has gone up the wall again, and then to boot tonight whilst am trying to source a new dishwasher coz thats packed up, me beloved tumble dryer has bitten the dust as well....

But HEY you don't want to know all that, so I shall continue with todays card, It's for the my paperworld sketch 9, sugar nellies no patterned paper, and cute card thursdays Girls just wanna have fun... all the links are at the right side of me blog.... anyways without further ado here it is using one of me Thankyou nellies from sugar nellie....

Elegant embossing PTW CHALLENGE

EDTITED TO SAY PICCIE NOW ON...
This week at Papertake weekly the theme is as the above title states, you can use dry embossing or wet embossing the choice is yours, There is a fab prize up for grabs so come on crafters get embossing....

For mine, I have been inspired by Paula pascual, she used this in her recent class at Craftsulove, which I wasn't able to get to... I luv it sooo much and very elegant the cards were too...

So after speaking with Paula, I think I have remembered all the instructions she told me....

I run a chipboard flower through the cuttlebug embossing folder, inked it with versamark, and dabbed different colours of perfect pearls, PINK MAUVE AND GREEN all over with a brush in a swirly motion.... I then punched a hole in the centre and attached several flowers using a brad, I then made a scallop border with my newly purchased 12 inch quickutz cookie cutter which I cut with my cuttlebug and punched holes with a crop a dile in each scallop... All these products you can get at CRAFTSULOVE.....

Another my paperworld sketch, just luv this blog..... Luv the fact that this lady makes a card everyday with the sketch of the week..... and each one looks sooo different...

I made this card using maggie nellie, I paper peiced her, with the gorgeous imaginisce, for peep's sake pretty new dress range, it's double sided, I it got from Craftsulove,who incindentley have extended their free p&p until midnight tonight... The sentiment is a penny black, I have inked the edges of the paper and image with doodlebug brown ink pad.....

And also this week I have managed to design my card for Papertake weekly challenege, but can't show ya's till later when The lovely Steph uploads to the blog.... BUT here is a little teaser!!!

Norty me!!! Oppps better run before Steph give me a clip round the lughole!!! Tee hee.....

Something to share with you ......
I have been busy as ya know, but wanted a break from commissions and thought I would have a play whilst cooking me dinner tonight, got a bit carried away and nearly ended up with burnt keiv instead of chicken...

I bought some to die for paper from craftsulove today, I am sure you will agree is rather scrumptious, It's double sided and called organic poppy and its from the
Bo Bunny range.... The flowers also from craftsulove, the smaller ones in te middle are a punch set from there too, On the first one I used a sentiment circle from craftworkcards....

Coz I wanted stressfree I popped over to the fabulous My Paperworld blog , such an insiprational blog..... I say stressfree I ended up paper piecing the first one....

And to top it off I used two of my amazing thankyou gift's from Sugar nellie, their brand new range THEY ARE SPECTACULAR, you can get them HERE at funky kits WOW!!!! What a selection and what a thankyou, when I opened the packet yesterday I were gobsmacked!!!! A BIG THANKYOU SUGARS......

I was surprised to be in WHSmith this week to see me in another card magazine, Oh I were chuffed to bits....

The magazine is The Complete cardmaking handbook issue 2, and is exclusive to WHSmith's and whilst a tad expensive at £7.99 it is crammed to the rafters with cards, 156 of em to be precise... no dreaded adverts either which for me makes this kinda mag good buy.... it comes out I think twice a year.... I think its not an every month mag I know that...

I have eight cards published in there along with the talented Jo Kill who has done some gorgeous designs too....

The photographer has made me cards look stunning.... espesh me Bella one... And me triple embossing chipboard one....

I am just finishing a commission that will be going in the Papercrafts essentials issue 30 magazine.... And have been asked to design some more cards for the Craftworkcards recipe cards series, I have some fab designs in mind, some being humourous... this again is a very good buy, no adverts at all, several designers contributing, so loads of stunning designs involved.... Sorry I ain't been about, been quite busy and stressful here, Taking Paul to footie, gawd I am glad when footie season over thats for sure, Took Paul over to euston station on Thursday to pick up the chelsea train to everton, took and hour from here, took me nearly four hours to get back, just because I didn't trust me sat nav to get me home again, it kept directing me to shoreditch east london, I wanted south, stoopid me forgot about Blackwall tunnel didn't I that takes me right to the A2, along by where I lives... well back again I wents at 4am to him up so no sleep what so ever for me that nite....

CREATIVE LIVING...

Well a very sad time for me at the mo, my fave craft shop CREATIVE LIVING is closing down and I can't quite get me head round it all.... Totally and utterley gutted is what I am, and few other crafters feel this way I know for sure...

Today Creatives is starting their 50% off closing down sale, and everything is going from brads to stamps, from fixtures to fittings, I know it feels a bit like scavaging, and I got to say wasn't a nice feeling rumaging through gorgeous stash this time, but I am sure Teresa, Faye and Jay would appreciate all the sales so much.... So why don't ya pop along to see them and snatch up a bargain or two, even the demo cards on display are for sale, the demo and class stock is going at less than half price,....

I managed to bag a cricut, and cuttlebug, they have big shots and side kicks, and cricut cartridges all 50% off, theres Bellas in store, perfect pearls, watercolour pencils, Brush markers, ranger daubers, and 12 x 12 papers to die for...

If ya see something you think may not be for sale, Just ask!!!! Coz it might just be up for grabs..... Come on girlies get those pennies out.....

I for one shall be popping back in the week, To say me goodbyes and take a bottle of champers with me, coz I have a lot to thank all the staff for..... and of course a bowl of Dee;s scrummy sweet potato and butternut squash soup....

Oh yes food and beverages still served up all week, Creatives close the end of this month :((((

Curtain Rods... Tee heee!!!!

My Friend Lorraine sent me this, and well all I can say is you go girly..... This gal is my kinda gal, what say you....

CURTAINRODS......PRICELESS

She spent the first day packing her belongings
into boxes, crates and suitcases.

On the second day, she had the movers come and
collect her things.

On the third day, she sat down for the last time
at their beautiful dining room table by candle-light, put on some soft
background music, and feasted on a pound of shrimp, a jar of caviar,
and a bottle of fine burgundy.

When she had finished, she went into each and
every room and deposited a few half-eaten shrimp shells dipped in
caviar into the hollow of the curtain rods.

She then cleaned up the kitchen and left. When
the husband returned with his new girlfriend, all was bliss for the
first few days.

Then slowly, the house began to smell.

They tried everything; cleaning, mopping and
airing the place out.

Vents were checked for dead rodents and carpets
were steam cleaned.

Air fresheners were hung everywhere.
Exterminators were brought in to set off gas canisters, during which
they had to move out for a few days and in the end they even paid to
replace the expensive wool carpeting.

Nothing worked!!!

People stopped coming over to visit.
Repairmen refused to work in the house.
The maid quit.

Finally, they could not take the stench any
longer and decided to move.

A month later, even though they had cut their
price in half, they could not find a buyer for their stinky house.

Word got out and eventually even the local
realtors refused to return their calls.

Finally, they had to borrow a huge sum of money
from the bank to purchase a new place ...

The ex-wife called the man and asked how things
were going.

He told her the saga of the rotting house. She
listened politely and said that she missed her old home terribly and
would be willing to reduce her divorce settlement in exchange for
getting the house back.

Knowing his ex-wife had no idea how bad the
smell was, he agreed on a price that was about 1/10th of what the
house had been worth, but only if she were to sign the papers that very day.

She agreed and within the hour his lawyers
delivered the paperwork.

A week later the man and his girlfriend stood
smiling as they watched the moving company pack everything to take to
their new home.........

And to spite the ex-wife, they even took the
curtain rods!!!!!

I LOVE A HAPPY ENDING,

I have been offered more commissions but not sure what they will entail yet!!! Heres hoping nothing to stressful...

Another fab sketch over at Ismaki, and I used a fabulous stamp I aquired on ebay, made by stamp it... I don't do oriental my friends will tell ya , but I simply fell in love with this image, and of course me fave colours are Red & Black and what more fitting than the Basic Grey Scarlet's Letters range, the sentiment is stampin up, the gorge japanese writing is stickers I bought from the newly re-opened craft barn, and the fabby hydrangers are from Creative living..., I coloured image in both watercolour pencils and H20's on a linen effect card stock....

It looks more stunning in the flesh than in the photo, even if I may say so myself...

At Artzy girlz This weeks challenge is Doodling So gel pens at the ready ;) You could doodle a border, maybe some dots, doodle the whole creation or use a doodling stamp if you'd prefer....as always the choice is yours :)

Well this is the first time I have joined in on this challenge, I just luv Doodling, and admire the doodle queen Jo Kill soooo much, well I thought why not have a go, I took my inspiration from the Stampendous posie doodle just below, I hand doodled the stems and used the Hero arts clear set for the sentiment...

Wow who would have thought snow on Easter Sunday, well not me thats for sure, whilst it were just flurring along here in Welling Kent, in Grimsby here is what my friend Sue woke upto, how beautiful is this and look at the magnificent palm tree just standing tall and proud!!!!

At Cute Card Thursday this week it's all creatures great and small

"This week we would like to see creatures on your cards, they can be animals, birds, fish even dinosaurs or dragons. Absolutely any creature imaginable!"

Well I knew just what stamp I wanted to use, and yes those free papers again, I luv the colours..... Sooo fresh and spring, like cabbages.... pardon thr pun!!!! Look at that oh soooo lush ribbon from making memories my winners stash... it's scrunchy just like cabbage leaf topped off with a must have paper flower brad from K&Co...

The stamp is Penny black Butterfly Bunny, These are discountinued but I know for sure That the Glitter pot has some, they scourced them specially for my publication, So thanks Brian and Carolyn...... If ya like this stamp, and must admit it's rather cute and not just for easter, I use it for new baby cards......

Now this card is a total mess up, as I was wanting to do the great sketch from My paper world, see below for cards I have done using this, but I not only had I put the paper on upside down I had stamp the sentiment thinking it were the right way up...lol and me card maker of the year.... Bwhaaaaa!!!! Anyhows wasn't gonna waste such prettiness, so just had to go with it!!!!!
