No matter what you say, you're listening... and recording it in your memory." - Mike Brescia

(Just like affirmations and visualizations, self-talk has always existed, since the beginnings of Humankind.

However, it becomes a highly efficient success mindset tool when used CONSCIOUSLY, to achieve, clear, specific goals.

The key-word here is "consciously", because you deliberately decide where to direct your self-talk, what affirmations you will make and, of course, you deliberately set goals you have chosen for yourself)

You continually talk to yourself.

You congratulate yourself, blame yourself, swear at yourself, sneer at yourself, call yourself names, laugh at yourself.

This inner dialogue never ceases.

But now you have to monitor it carefully. It should no longer be instinctive. Train yourself to closely monitor it.

Control and harness it to set and achieve your goals, get whatever you want to get and be whatever you want to be.

Listen to a great master: "Perhaps the most powerful influence on your attitude and personality is what you say to yourself, and believe. It is not what happens to you, but how you respond internally to what happens to you, that determines your thoughts and feeling and, ultimately, your actions. By controlling your inner dialogue, or “self-talk,” you can begin to assert control over every other dimension of your life." (Brian Tracy)

And again: "According to the law of expression, whatever is expressed is impressed. Whatever you say to yourself or others is impressed deeply into your subconscious mind and is likely to become a permanent part of your personality." (Brian Tracy)

From now on, make sure that whatever you say to yourself is positive.

For example, decide that whatever you HAVE to do is pleasurable and say it to yourself.

Do not dwell on your past problems.

As for your "future" problems, simply decide they do not exist, which is true!

Welcome the future with a smile, because it is your own, and you are building it right now with your positive thoughts and inner dialogue, for your future situation will be the result of your present thoughts (expressed in your self-talk) in the same way as your present situation is the result of your past thoughts (expressed in your self-talk).

So, be nice to yourself, talk to yourself nicely!

Self-talk may be either quite automatic and instinctive when it is just an expression of your belief system. For example: "No, you're just wasting your time, you'll never be able to learn Chinese: you are no good at language-learning!". "You'll never, ever be able to lose weight: you have no will power!"

It can also be quite simple and deliberate. For example, even performing the most routine action is normally preceded by orders/instructions you give to yourself. For example: "Let's go!"

Self-talk can be a complex, long-winded reaction to external circumstances.

It can also be one of those never-ending verbal fights, full of "sound and fury", specially if you happen to be one of those people who don't "agree with themselves".

It can be many things. But whatever form it may take, it is YOURS, totally and entirely YOURS.

All, absolutely ALL types of self-talk can be monitored and brought under control, turned into positive, highly empowering affirmations, to change your self-image, to make you act, and consequently to transform your whole life into whatever you want it to be.

Yes, you can discipline mind chatter, harness it and make it work for you!

A.M.Sall

A.M.Sallhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11027631514079042361noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8485593.post-60563093457046240662007-07-04T15:49:00.000Z2007-07-04T16:04:20.831ZAlan Johnston FREE AT LAST!“BBC Gaza correspondent Alan Johnston is released by his kidnappers after 114 days in captivity.”

Read the news here

And if you want to react on the BBC website, you can do so by clicking this link

Thanks a lot to all of you who signed the Petition for the liberation of Alan Johnston

A.M.Sall

P.S. We’ll leave Alan’s picture here on Amsall's Success Mindset blog (on your right) for some time

A.M.Sallhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11027631514079042361noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8485593.post-21641937021720931812007-07-04T15:39:00.000Z2007-07-04T15:44:08.844ZA Cool 4th of July!Amsall's Success Mindset Blog wishes all our friends and fans in the United States of America a cool 4th of July a.k.a. Independence Day!

A.M.Sall

A.M.Sallhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11027631514079042361noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8485593.post-24196974665517926712007-06-30T01:27:00.000Z2007-06-30T02:26:16.809ZThe June Edition of our "Success Mindset" Carnival<!-- The next few lines insert the BlogCarnival LogoLink for the June 29, 2007 edition of "amsall's inspirational and motivational" here. It is at the very heart of my upcoming book ("The Success Mindset Tripod")

"Things might have been worse"

This is the most powerful, dynamic, revolutionary statement you could ever make in your life.

But first, deciding to take an inventory of your life will lead you to put down in front of you two parts of your life:

1. the good things: positive

2. the bad things: negative

Do you think your life might have been better or worse?

This is a choice for you to make.

But if you put every thing down and carefully examine it, you will realize things certainly might have been worse.

"I was complaining that I had no shoes till I met a man who had no feet." (Confucius)

For example, you have lost your job but you are in good health: you might have lost BOTH health and job.

Now, the mere fact that you are faced with a choice means you are in a dynamic situation, the possibility to decide for yourself, to assert yourself, to test your sense of purpose.

You are FREE to decide. Yes, it is up to you to decide whether things might have been better or worse.

If you decide that things might have been better and things had indeed been better, you wouldn't have felt the need for change: you would have carried on, unconscious and happy (!?)

If your "present" is better than it might have been, then there is no reason why your "future" should not be better than your "present" (please read this sentence again :-).

The only difference is NOW YOU KNOW, and this is what makes your situation so powerful, so dynamic, so revolutionary, so excitingly full of proactivity:

You can decide, you can make choices, set goals and work to achieve your goals.

You are no longer groping in the dark and whatever you decide for yourself will come to pass.

Your future is a heavily pregnant lady and you don’t need an obstetrician, because YOU are the obstetrician - not just any obstetrician, but the most powerful obstetrician that ever was.

All the kids are yours and YOU can decide what they are going to be This is a terribly exciting story, and you are the superhero.

Now is the time to exercise your sense of purpose.

Deciding that things might have been worse means you are ready for three things at least:

1. gratitude: you can be grateful because you see the positive side in all things. You realize there are more positives than negatives, so you don't complain, you don't explain, you are in control, the more so since you now know that your present situation is simply a consequence of your past thoughts;

2. faith: the realization that from now on, things CAN be better and you can decide things ARE GOING to be better. And your future situation is also a consequence of your present thoughts.

3. clarity of purpose: you know exactly what you want things to be.

You are ready for a life-change and you have faith, gratitude and a sense of purpose. These are the 3 legs of your Success Mindset Tripod.

Once you are ready for change, you have gone at least 60% of the way, you can get anything you want.

Attitude is the first thing to change and you have changed your attitude from negative to positive. Clearly affirm your readiness for change.

From now on, anything you do will be informed by your faith, your gratitude, your clarity and unity of purpose.

Meditate a lot to convince yourself that you are on the right track.

This deep conviction will rid you of stress, tension, doubt and fear, your two worse enemies.

Eventually, you will impress everybody, including yourself!

Deep conviction will bring you into agreement with yourself, the only person you really have to agree with, after all. This is what I call "unity of purpose".

And once you agree with yourself, you'll find it much easier to agree with anybody else - contrary to what some people may think.

Now is the time for you to decide what part of your life you want to change, be it making money, losing weight, relationships, or anything else.

Now is the time to set your goals, and take action to achieve them.

But never forget that you have already gone 60% of the way - readiness for life-change, which was obtained through making a balance-sheet of your life and deciding that things might have been worse (past + present) and that things CAN and indeed ARE GOING TO get better (present + future)

And things are truly going to be better than they could ever be, simply because NOW YOU KNOW.

Always remember “things might have been worse” - and be grateful, confident and purposeful.

Then move forward and upward, and build your life with your Success Mindset Tripod!

Lead your life and don't allow yourself to be led by your life.

A.M.Sallhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11027631514079042361noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8485593.post-69183646553426998802007-06-08T21:34:00.000Z2007-06-08T21:44:07.188ZNext Carnival Edition is on June 29, 2007Dear friends

The next edition of our popular Carnival is scheduled for Friday June 29, 2007. Always put yourself in a position to confidently say: "My present self is better than my former self".

Saying: "I am better than so-and-so" is a sure sign of low self-esteem.

If you really are better than so-and-so, you don't have to say it: so-and-so will find a way to manifest it to you and announce it to the world.

A.M.Sallhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11027631514079042361noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8485593.post-18247018039040366172007-05-01T20:13:00.000Z2007-05-01T20:23:56.401Z"There is No Problem Without a Solution!"For, "there is no problem without a solution". Problems and solutions follow each other like night and day.

Maybe it should be more accurate to say that problems and solutions co-exist. Or that they search for each other like two eager lovers or Siamese twins who must urgently be joined back together.

And the individual mind's job is to join them together: this is achieved mainly through the repetition of affirmations and through visualizations i.e. seeing yourself as you are AFTER you have received what you want.

If there is a problem, there is a solution

If there is a west, there is an east

If there is a south, there is a north

If there is an up, there is a down

If there is a right, there is a left

The solution always exists. But where is it? How to find it?

See yourself as having already obtained it. You have it. What do you feel now?

Keep on visualizing, detailing all your feelings, emotions ...

This will very quickly, much more quickly than you think, become reality

And this is where the problem and the solution find each other - like a mother and child reunited
Your only job is to help the problem and the solution find each other, which they are eager to do, because they were one, once upon a time - and they got separated through the vicissitudes of life

Once re-united, the problem and the solution are so happy that they reward the "problem-solver" (or facilitator or solution-finder) with happiness. That's why problem-solvers are always happy people (as you may easily have guessed :-)

Of course, to reach the solution, you must also do a little bit of what people usually call "work", but if you do it with the right mindset, it won't even feel like "work".

This comes under "faith" and "purpose" in Amsall's "Success Mindset Tripod"

A.M.Sallhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11027631514079042361noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8485593.post-87921445972952794102007-04-24T02:07:00.000Z2007-04-24T02:09:22.975ZFrom Jim Rohn's "Vitamin for the Mind"ASKING/BELIEF/RESOLVE

Asking is the beginning of receiving. Make sure you don't go to the ocean with a teaspoon. At least take a bucket so the kids won't laugh at you.

There is no better opportunity to receive more than to be thankful for what you already have. Thanksgiving opens the windows of opportunity for ideas to flow your way.

Resolve says, "I will." The man says, "I will climb this mountain. I hope

In the mean time, I have translated about half a million words!

I've also launched a Cyber Cafe (a more or less successful attempt at what they call "Multiple Streams of Income :-)

MPP has somehow grown fatter - more about that in future postings

Other news: my 3 new sites and other blog will soon be out

1. translationtrophy.com on "Global Communication", which is just a fancy name for "Translation" :),

2. translatorpower.com, on "the marketing of translation services", where I teach my younger colleagues how to sell themselves and market their translation service - if you remember, I have been a professional translator for well over 30 years (since 1972)

3. amsall.com, which will be subtitled "The Official Site of A.M.Sall"

4. You can even just call me "Ay - Em".

The reason I want my name to be easily pronounceable and "rememberable" is I am very soon going to be extremely famous on the Net, and having a name that reads "Wchyttiozporfaiunllmyzviatruokk" will put unnecessary stress on my soon-to-be innumerable fans :-).

If you don't believe me, then you haven't read Napoleon Hill ("Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve"), or Earl Nightingale (“We become what we think about”), plus a few of my own articles (!).

Now, if you keep "shaking your head in utter disbelief" and saying that I can't do it, I'll grab the opportunity to shoot back with these cool words by Walter Bagehot: "The greatest pleasure in life is doing the things that people say we cannot do"!

OK, I am a "success mindset philosopher". I am passionately interested in the mindset of successful people - I am a huge fan of the great Napoleon Hill, Wallace Wattles, Dale Carnegie, James Allen, Barnum, a coupla "wisemen" from Africa, the Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, Confucius, Lao Tseu, Sun Tzu, Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba (a Holy Man from Senegal), Shaaban Robert (Tanzanian Poet), Rabindranath Tagore (great Indian Poet), Martin Luther King, Jr., and many, many others, including Jim Rohn, Mark Victor Hansen, Tony Robbins, Brian Tracy, Bob Proctor, Oprah Winfrey (she really knows how to COMMUNICATE, that one), Priya Shah (The "New Goddess of Internet Marketing"), Mike Brescia (of ThinkRightNow! fame, of course, you know him, who doesn't!), etc...

This is what I call "My Personal Pantheon" (MPP). Mind you, MPP is not - and will never be - "closed". If you feel you are a highly successful person, you can always contact me with your "credentials" so that I can include you in this awesome company :-). Imagine "rubbing shoulders" with SUCH PEOPLE!

I've studied so many great people that I feel NOW is the time to "do my own thing" before it's too late - after all I am 62 (yes, sixty-two) years old. According to my calculatiions, I still have about 400,000 hours to live. Taking out around 60% for sleeping and other similarly useful activities like eating, "just sitting, doing nothing" etc...I have about 160,000 hours to finish whatever it is I have to complete.

Talking about "doing my own thing", as you know (do you, really), I am a professional translator, have been for over 30 years. The thing is I really got sick and tired of translating other people's thoughts. Couldn't I "think" for myself? Wasn't I able to "think my own thoughts? Couldn't I "do my own thing"?

Anyway, I have started a coaching business, based on a little bit of (mainly self) training, a lot of reading, listening and observing, my "universally recognized wisdom", but much more and above all on my life experiences - after all I have done a lot more than simply translating other people's thoughts and ramblings.

I speak about 12 languages (note the "about") and in this blog, you'll probably come across quotations in strange languages, which I will only translate if I feel like it (did I tell you I was fed up with TRANSLATING other people's thoughts :-)

I have travelled a lot, I was once a teacher, in fact a language teacher (French, English, Spanish), I once was a professional musician - a famous guitar-player, actually. I even served as a diplomat in London back in the 70's (I lived in Abbey Rd., remember the Beatles?).

I lived in East Africa for quite some time, working as a teacher and translator, with the then O.AU. (Organization of African Unity).

I taught French at Grimsby, in Lincolnshire, England (I sometimes hear about their soccer team on the BBC). That was the place where I first experienced being a member of a "visible minority" (that's a nice Canadian expression). I must say in my case it wasn't an altogether unpleasant experience, even when my English girl friend said to me one day: "You're very nice, AFTER ALL". I found those last two words rather puzzling, to say the least. What did she mean by "after all"? After what? All sorts of questions I asked myself and her, too. Eventually I calmed down. Of course I was young then, still in my 20's. Now I perfectly understand that a man of a different "race", color, and culture is bound to look and maybe sound just that, i.e. different, at least superficially. Deep inside, we are all the same. I am now totally convinced that the deeper you go, the more alike we are.

But all this carries us pretty far afield from "motivation", "inspiration" and "success mindset",

I guess that's what you must be saying to yourself. Well, when you decide to read words that are deliberately called "ramblings" by their very author, you know what you're letting yourself in for :-)

Anyway, see you very soon, maybe sooner than you think :-)

P.S. Have you noticed the inordinate number of "I's" in this post :). Well, this is MY blog, and I will use as many "I's" as I want, whatever my brothers-and-sisters-in-marketing may say!

A.M.Sallhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11027631514079042361noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8485593.post-1107887584964551792005-02-08T18:27:00.000Z2005-02-08T18:33:04.963ZPositive Mental AttitudeWe all know that a Positive Mental Attitude is essential if you want to achieve anything in life. Here is my take on PMA. This is an article you can view on my site at :
http://www.health-beauty-wellness.com/pma.htm

The article:

Look at this glass on the table in front of you. Is it
half-full or is it half-empty?

Now, do you realize that it is entirely for you to decide
what the answer to this question is going to be.

The choice is yours.

So, the very same reality can be seen in totally opposite
ways: in a positive way, and in a negative way.

And there is always a positive side to any thing, any
situation, any event, any person.

Look at the world in a different way. Try to find out that
positive side. At first, you might literally have to dig
it out, but after some time, it automatically appears to
you. In fact, you eventually only see the good side.

Everything is beautiful, "everybody's beautiful, in their
own way", as the song goes.

So we invite you to try our 3-step positive mental attitude
formula.

In any situation, however apparently bad:

1. Keep cool and coolly examine the situation. Turn it
upside down, inside out, downside up and outside in.

2. Suddenly you realize it could have been worse. Find out
how and why it could have been worse.

3. Finally, the good side of it will just appear to you.
This can happen gradually or in a flash. It all depends on
parts 1 and 2.

Soon you'll see all things and all people in a positive way

What you call "failure" is in fact simply a new opportunity
to try again and do better than if you had "succeeded" in
the first place.

Now, have you noticed that a rich person has more of a
chance of getting a bank loan than a poor person? In other
words: you must have money to be given MORE money!

In the same way, if you are a "happy person", you'll get
MORE happiness.

As the great American poet Theodore Roethke said:
"The right things happen to the happy man"

Don't worry, whatever type of person you are, you can
easily turn yourself into a "happy person".

I can almost see your wry, "easier-said-than-done" smile.

But please, just try our 3-step formula and soon, very soon,
in fact much sooner than you think, you'll take up a sturdy
and radiant Positive Mental Attitude to life and THAT is
the only key to wellness, happiness, and a longer life.

Here is an article I just published on my website. You can view it at:

www.health-beauty-wellness.com

OK, Here goes!

We are repeatedly told of the necessity to plan. "If you fail
to plan, you plan to fail", "Plan your work, work your plan" etc.

In terms of goalsetting and achieving goals, when people
talk of planning, they generally mean:

1. You set your goals

2. You make a plan for achieving your goals

This, for us, is putting things upside down. And we are
going to put things right back on their feet.

If planning is really necessary, it is much more UPSTREAM,
i.e. BEFORE goalsetting - you decide what you want, when,
where, how you are going to "affirm and visualize", than
DOWNSTREAM i.e. AFTER goalsetting - how you are
going to achieve your goals.

This "upstream planning" is generally not considered as
planning. It is normally called "decision-making":
You decide WHAT, explore the reasons WHY, and organize
your affirming and visualizing activity (time, place etc.)

This is different from planning :

For example if your goal is to buy a house in 1 year's time,
you would be planning for HOW to achieve you goal (save,
invest, work more etc.)

Now I am going to shock you with one little-known success
mindset secret: once you know exactly what you want,
visualization is more important - even more necessary - than
planning, in other words, thinking about how you are going
to enjoy whatever you want once you get it is more important
- even more necessary - than thinking about how to get it in
the first place!

Visualization is much more productive, much more efficient,
much more motivational and inspirational than planning.
Besides, it is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.

Once (and even before) you've set your goals, FAITH is also
much more important than planning.

Planning is in inverse proportion to faith: the stronger your
faith, the less necessary it is for you to plan.

If you really have faith, you don't need any planning
(another "shocking" statement!)

Let us simply say that planning is only good inasmuch as
you need to be reassured that what you want is really
possible or what you want to do is really feasible.

The truth about planning is that it only causes limitations,
in that lots of possibilities outside the plan are not even
considered.

So, just state whatever it is that you want and don't worry
too much about HOW you are going to get it, because
there are always far more ways than you could ever plan
for, or even imagine.

Focus on what you want and keep your mind open to the
idea that there are always other ways.

Focus on your goal and obstacles will disappear, because
"obstacles are things a person sees when he takes his eyes
off his goal" (E-Joseph Crossman).

The best way to get rid of obstacles is to keep your eyes
on your goal.

Now, you may ask: " Won't you trip and fall if you
concentrate too much on your goal and forget to look where
you're walking?"

Here is my answer to your question: " If you have enough
faith, you don't WALK to your goal, you FLY over all possible
obstacles, straight to your goal"

So, affirm, visualize, and receive: if you have enough faith,
failure is impossible!

Amazing, really!

Two completely different cultures saying exactly the same thing about life, sharing the same philosophy of life.

The first is Spanish and can be translated:

There are three things in life
Health, Money and Love
Anyone who has those three things
Can give thanks to God

The second is a Swahili (East Africa) poem by Shaaban Robert - see my September 26 post.

Translation:

Happiness in life consists in three things
Being blessed with Health and owning Property
But more than all that, being Loved by people

Of course there are slight differences in emphasis. For example, the African poet seems to stress love, specially in its social dimension, whereas, the Spanish verse seems to mean one-to-one love etc.

Who is the one and only person you cannot afford NOT to agree with?

Your spouse, your parents, your kids, President George W. Bush, John Kerry, your boss, your employees, your friends, your colleagues, your religious or spiritual leader, your community leader?

None of all these! There is one and only ONE person you MUST agree with if you want to be successful in life, whether healthwise, moneywise, or relationshipswise.

And that person is YOU!

Let me hasten to say that this has nothing to do with selfishness. In fact, once you agree with yourself, you find it very easy to agree with anybody else. Happy and harmonious relationships with other people (interpersonal) can only be built based on a perfect relationship with yourself (intrapersonal)

Agreeing with yourself means serenity, peace of mind, self-control, integrity (your thoughts, words and actions are in spotless alignment), enhanced self-esteem, which result in self-reliance, self-confidence, responsibility, and accountability.

In fact, agreeing with yourself is but one leg of a 3-legged stool (tripod), on which your self-esteem, self-confidence and success in life will rest. The other two legs are: Know Yourself and Like Yourself.

Know Yourself = self-awareness and self-discovery, know what you want (essential for setting and achieving goals), etc.

Like Yourself = self-acceptance, self-pride, self-esteem, self-confidence, etc.

Don't allow your Life Success Tripod to wobble and crash.
Let it proudly stand on all three sturdy legs.
Will you just sit by and powerlessly watch as your Magnificent Dream explodes, with bits and pieces hurtling down the bottomless pit of abject failure? (Did I tell you I was a "Poet" :-)

This is the most powerful, dynamic, revolutionary statement you could ever make in your life.

If your "present" is better than it might have been, then there is no reason why your "future" should not be better than your "present" (please read this sentence again :-).

The only difference is that NOW YOU KNOW, and this is what makes your situation so powerful, so dynamic, so revolutionary, so excitingly full of proactivity: you can decide, you can make choices, set goals and work to achieve your goals.

You are no longer groping in the dark and whatever you decide for yourself will come to pass.

Your future is a heavily pregnant lady and you don’t need an obstetrician, because YOU are the obstetrician - not just any obstetrician, but the most powerful obstetrician that ever was.

All the kids are yours and YOU can decide what they are going to be. This is a terribly exciting story, and you are the superhero.

One more time:
"Things might have been worse"

Remember Ole' Confucius? "I was complaining that I had no shoes till I met a man who had no feet."

Your comments on this?

One of these days, I'll be rambling about GRATITUDE - if things are better than they might have been, then surely we have something to be grateful about, don't we?

A.M.Sall's Motivational and Inspirational Ramblings
A.M.Sall, author, coach, success mindset philosopher

Contradiction in terms: how can anyone be motivated or inspired by RAMBLINGS?
Answer: anybody who wants to be motivated and inspired will be motivated and inspired.
Anyboby who doesn't want etc, etc......:-)

Have you noticed that I call myself a philosopher?, just like Jim Rohn is a BUSINESS Philosopher!

My name, "A.M.Sall" is simply pronounced "Ay - Em - Sall". You can even just call me "Ay - Em".

The reason I want my name to be easily pronounceable
and "rememberable" is I am very soon going to be extremely famous on the Net, and having a name that reads "Wchyttiozporfaiunllmyzviatruokk" will put unnecessary stress on my soon-to-be innumerable fans :-). If you don't believe me, then
you haven't read Napoleon Hill ("Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve"), or Earl Nightingale (“We become what we think about”).

I am passionately interested in the mindset of successful people - I am a huge fan of the great Napoleon Hill, Wallace Wattles, Dale Carnegie, James Allen, Barnum, a coupla "wisemen" from Africa, the Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, Confucius, Lao Tseu, Sun Tzu, Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba (a Holy Man from Senegal), Shaaban Robert (Tanzanian Poet), Rabindranath Tagore (great Indian Poet), Martin Luther King, Jr., and many, many others, including Jim Rohn, Mark Victor Hansen, Tony Robbins, Brian Tracy, Bob Proctor, Oprah Winfrey (she really knows how to COMMUNICATE, that one), Priya Shah (The "New Goddess of Internet
Marketing"), Mike Brescia (of ThinkRightNow! fame, of course, you know him, who doesn't!), etc...

Talking about "doing my own thing", as you know (do you, really :-), I am a professional translator, have been for over 30 years.

I speak about 12 languages (note the "about") and in this blog, you'll probapbly come across quotations in strange languages, which I will only translate if I feel like it (did I tell you I was fed up with TRANSLATING other people's thoughts :-)
