I like the puffs of white in his ears. He has a couple of little white spots on his belly, too..secret spots you can only see when giving a belly rub. Zoot likes belly rubs.

Lyssa Kaehlerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09063475025297754001noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8485227528573837930.post-25812001178619637652007-07-22T23:44:00.000-07:002007-07-23T01:19:45.508-07:00New Arrivals<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_YlMiFDF5RRE/RqRO4xqxnUI/AAAAAAAAAJs/yzGq9RafnQA/s320/CIMG0856.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5090280216147893570" />
I brought our newest foster kittens home from the shelter on Thursday. These little ones were from a litter of six left at the Burbank Animal Shelter. Three of them went to live with another foster family, and these three came home with me. Boy, they were stinky...kittens this young aren't very good at cleaning themselves, and the shelter doesn't have time to keep every kitten well groomed. A little bath and some combing...they cleaned up very well.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_YlMiFDF5RRE/RqRPfxqxnVI/AAAAAAAAAJ0/axvn1LPrIgY/s320/CIMG0868.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5090280886162791762" />

Grace is a little shy, but keeps up with her brothers just fine. After just a couple of days, she is already learning to like being cuddled and groomed. She likes to hide in corners and pounce on any other kittens that wander by. Her tail is tipped in white...this makes it easy to tell which kitten is streaking past me when I open the bathroom door.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_YlMiFDF5RRE/RqRQ0BqxnWI/AAAAAAAAAJ8/r79NAqVxOrc/s320/CIMG0865.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5090282333566770530" />
Will, also known as Willums, is also a little shy and reserved. He does like to be held though, and will fall asleep in your lap after a tiring game of chase and tackle. He has a very posh black nose and goatee.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_YlMiFDF5RRE/RqRRqBqxnXI/AAAAAAAAAKE/vT-RBHPF_5E/s320/CIMG0864.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5090283261279706482" />
Zoot...ah, Zoot. Zoot reminds me of the soot sprites from My Neighbor Totoro. He is the runt of the three, a bit smaller than Grace or Will...but he is determined to make up for lost time. Whenever I come in to check on the kits, Zoot is the first one to come up to me. As soon as I pick him up he purrs, and will follow me all over the house. I think Zoot would do just fine as an only cat; he is much more interested in people than he is in other felines. Will and Grace are pretty inseperable right now, but Zoot is off on his own most of the time.

These kittens will be available for adoption in approximately 3 weeks. They are wards of the police department, and must be adopted through official channels. If you are interested in meeting them, let me know!

Lyssa Kaehlerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09063475025297754001noreply@blogger.com2
