(on a side note, i just checked her blog and morrissey's new album was on her most recent post at the time that i'm typing this.) i've always been curious and will occasionally ask people who like the smiths why, in fact, they do - mainly because it seems like such an acquired taste. like a certain way you may prefer a slightly-burnt piece of garlic bread over a perfectly toasted piece to go with your lasagna. (maybe a bad analogy, but you get the idea).
once in a while, i'll get sorta hung up on tracking down an album or song to the point of becoming annoying, but this time wendy saved me the struggle by quickly scanning the backs of the nine smiths/morrissey discs i had exhumed from boxes over the garage and said, "this is it."
so, maybe i'm becoming a new found smiths listener, or more understanding of his "turtle-turtle" (from dana carvey movie "master of disguise") type vocal phrasings, or i'm yearning for some music with lyrics that don't seem trite or recycled from previous songs. possibly, i'm just another hipster taking music cues from npr's latest interviews. but, i'll just say now that if the movie sucks, i don't really care b/c it gave me the chance to hear how wendy came to the smiths and why she liked it back then. (and it also gave her a chance to "one-up" me on some music).

Brandon Bucknerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04149238298454750667noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8476782.post-87416389683628242092009-07-10T20:22:00.000-04:002009-07-10T20:23:17.749-04:00surprise link.see here.

Brandon Bucknerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04149238298454750667noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8476782.post-18144273144921823432009-07-09T19:31:00.004-04:002009-07-09T19:37:09.595-04:00coincidental?<img style="display:block; I've since come to the realization that I should strive to waste the maximum amount of blog-visitor's time as possible. What am I? The place for usuable clip-art? I say get-a-life. So thanks Bill for keeping it real (and weird) as well! And, yes, that is me in the statue o' liberty shot.

Brandon Bucknerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04149238298454750667noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8476782.post-4702570562264084222009-03-24T18:40:00.000-04:002009-03-24T18:34:45.696-04:00Take that, you un-funsters.

Brandon Bucknerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04149238298454750667noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8476782.post-66833866872700834592009-03-24T00:24:00.001-04:002009-03-24T00:21:01.943-04:00Clip art...It seems that lots of people have been drawn to my clip art post (I found some off of a texas university copy center site). Most comments have been constructive and understanding as I had tried to determine why, exactly, clip art of a goat pooping would be available. However, an anonymous post recently did not get the idea. There was no humor in this individuals life as he/she (posting cowardly as "anonymous") repeatedly made some insults w/ a few 5 dollar words thrown in to sound "educated." If this person wanted to find clip-art, they could've followed some links from those posts to a large bank of images... It must've been out of frustration and lack of patience that this individual typed "clip art" into google, didn't immediately get what they felt entitled to (I'm guessing it was someone younger than 30 w/ a false sense of entitlement), and lashed out b/c the internet did not instantly deliver the goods. To whom it may concern, I hope to find your blog someday so I can see how politically correct (and boring) your posts are. Thanks for keeping things bland.

Brandon Bucknerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04149238298454750667noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8476782.post-50929359407408048792009-03-02T23:47:00.000-05:002009-03-02T23:42:00.954-05:00Can I make a come-back?Dear Bloggibindoggins, I have spent too much time away.
