Heck, my mail goes through the same post office (but not zip, funny that) as a government agency and my mail delivery is screwy. Not that any agency official has time to open protest mail this close to the end of the fiscal calendar.millionbellshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05383712147195352214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8444401.post-85429508688416224382008-08-20T16:02:00.000-05:002008-08-20T16:02:00.000-05:00I'm a project manager for one of those federal age...I'm a project manager for one of those federal agencies that will get the power to make decisions on ESA species w/o consultation with NMFS or FWS and am currently working on a letter of protest, as advised by my supervisor - not that I wouldn't have if he hadn't, just pointing out that at all levels, we DO NOT WANT.

Yes, it's frustrating trying to get Section 7 consultations concluded in a timely manner, but gutting the Act is not the answer. Maybe a little more funding could be directed to the Services instead of slashing their budgets to pay for a never-ending war and then forcing them to defend to the death their every judgement? Oh silly me, there I go trying to insert logic into the bureaucracy again.Hollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10520996755051133317noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8444401.post-87058878838366779382008-08-20T12:27:00.000-05:002008-08-20T12:27:00.000-05:00Thanks for the e-address, John, I'll comment today...Thanks for the e-address, John, I'll comment today. I haven't seen much discussion on the birding listservs either, even though the changes could have a substantial impact on endangered birds. I'm not sure why that is.Johnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00163297234733313179noreply@blogger.com
