It`s Sunday, I think I won`t go to sleep because there are only four hours left until I´ll leave. I said goodbye to all my friends, neighbours, family (grandma, aunts, uncle) so there´s just my hostfamily left. It´s going to be so hard!
I love Mexico and the people I met here. It´s a country with a lot of culture, history, beautiful nature, happy people, best parties, best food :-)
My exchange year is over, it was a wonderful but also a challenging time. I recommend doing an exchange, it changed my life so much and I´m so glad that I did it.
Everything feels like a dream.
Visit Mexico, you are going to love it.

It`s Wednesday, I`ve got only five days left.
On Monday I`m going to leave Querétaro at 5:30 a.m. so I`ll arrive at the airport of Mexico City at 8:30. Carla from AFS Mexico is going to wait for me at the Check-In of Iberia.

I can take two bags of 23 kg with me. I started to pack my stuff yesterday.
So today I`m going to go an Indian restaurant with all the exchange students, as a goodbye. Tomorrow we have to go to school to give a present to the director. On Friday I`ll spend the whole day with my Mexican friends :-) On Saturday is my birthday so all my family is coming! In the night I`m planning to go dancing and celebrate my 18th :-)
and on Sunday is my last day, I`ll just be at home, realx and preparing everything for my trip home! Wow I`m so nervous and sad and happy and confused and stressed AND excited :-)

On the 23rd of May I took the bus to Toluca (a city close to Mexico City, three hours from Querétaro), from Toluca I went by airplane to Tuxtla Gutiérrez. Ulises, a good friend of my sister Sara, picked me up at the airport in Tuxtla.
We went to his house to eat and later in the evening to bar. I met a Swiss guy Mauro, last year he worked in Chiapas as a volunteer, now he came back to visit all his friends. He`s a good friend of Ulises too.

On Saturday I had a really good mexican breakfast: Huevo a la mexicana, quesadillas y fruta - mangos! They have a mango tree in their garden. In the afternoon we went to the canion sumidero and chiapa de corzo. It was really nice but too hot! Que calor

In the evening we went with Mauro, Sara (a French girl, now volunteering in Chiapas), and other Mexican friends from Ulises to San Cristóbal de las Casas. It`s a city in the highlands of Chiapas on 2100 m, so it was a lot colder there.

First we went for some Mini-Pizzas, then to a bar called Revolución with live music - Reggae :-)

later to another disco Bar Fly, continued to El Circo, they played all kind of music, mostly reggae and then at 3 o`clock in the morning to Madre Tierra. Everyone goes to this bar in the end, there were only drunk&drugged people. Kind of strange in the beginning but they didn`t do anything, we stayed until 6 o`clock in the morning, it was so much fun!

On Sunday morning we woke up at 12 o`clock, we went for breakfast and walked around in Sancris. Then we took the bus back to Tuxtla (one hour).

Ulises had to work on Monday, so I stayed with Candy, his Mum. In the evening I went out with someone I met in Sancris. I went swimming at night time ;-)

On Tuesday I met an Swiss exchange student who lives in Tuxtla. She in Mexico AFS too.

The other days I went out with my friend from Sancris. On Saturday I went with an Canadian girl to Sancris again. At night: PARTY :-) lots of wine and dancing!

I wanted to go to Comitan and some waterfalls, but of course there was a hurricane in the south. So because of the bad weather I had to stay in Sancris. On Monday I had to go home. sniff!

I just got home this night, I`m still quite tired.

I went with Melissa, Guri, Thomas, Claudia, Pepe and Jobani to Puerto Vallarta for seven days. We had a super great time!

Last Thursday in the morning we went by car, it took us about nine hours to get there. We chilled at the beach, ate, went partying at night time and just enjoyed our free days.

We hired an apartment and had a kitchen so we could cook our own meals. There was a Jacuzzi in the hotel - soo niiicceee :-)

It`s not a big place and I thought that there would be more Americans, but there were more Mexican tourists.

There is actually no big news, I just don`t have anything to do right now. What have I been doing the last days? School, school, school it`s sometimes boring, sometimes fun depends on the day. I chill and don`t do anything. The teachers don`t really care. I`m writing letters during class, reading or writing in my diary.
Om Friday i went with Roberto, Aby, Perve and Melissa to a disco. We had so much fun - dancing for hours!
Today Guri is coming, my neighbour-sister-friend :-) we are going to watch a movie and talk talk talk: gossip gossip gossip, jajajaja!
Tomorrow I`m going to the cinema, it only costs 3 or 4 Fr.
Yesterday my told me that there are no female busdrivers here in Mexico because men say that women can`t drive, if there`s a women driving the bus the men shout at her, don`t pay for the ticket etc. I`ve never seen a female bus-/taxidriver.
I know now when I`m coming home: 24th of June at 11o`clock in the morning in Zuerich!!!
I`m looking forward meeting you all again. So there are only two months left ;-)
In ten days I`m going to Puerto Vallarta with Guri, Melissa, Thomas, Claudia and her boyfriend, for one week. (1st -8th of May) Sun, Beach and Party.

Sooo and now I`m sitting in my room, listening to music. It`s really hot here now, everyday day sunny and 30 C and more. I was in the Centro of Queretaro today, just walking around and having a coffee with Melissa. I`ve got two weeks of holidays now, there are so many tourists in Queretaro. A lot from Mexico City and the United States. Semana Santa is really important here, there are a lot of events in the Centro. I`ll go and watch this week.
Everything is going great with my hostfamily, they are really nice, especially my mom :-) she`s an angel. Oh some news, they sold our car, but they bought a printer now :-) jaja Mexico!!!
After the vacation I`m going to be a cheerleader, haha, yes me. I just want something to do after school. I hope you`re all fine? Take care!

I showed my parents Queretaro in morning, in the afternoon they got to know my hostfamily. I was really nervous because I didn`t know how it is going to be, but we had a great time together. I had to translate a loot :-) they met my aunts and grandmother too.
My brothers got a Football-Shirt from FCZ and FCB and my parents a `Kukuksuhr`.
On Tuesday I showed them my school, they met my mexican friends and the other exchange students. On Wednesday we rented a car and went to Guanajuato. On the way to San Miguel de Allende our car broke down. We had to wait for three hours! They brought a new car, it was already six o`clock so we couldn`t go to san Miguel. On Thursday we went to Bernal, I think my parents favourite place :-) later we had lunch in San Juan del Rio. Friday was our last day together, it was the birthday of my brother Jose Luis (he turned 16). So on Saturday we had to say good-bye...they left at 1 o`clock. It wasn`t easy but I knew that I`ll meet the soon again :-)
In the evening I had a Swiss-Dinner. I was invited to a friends house, we made fondue (cheese and chocolate), salad, coque au vin and `Kartoffelgratin`. We watched a movie about Switzerland and listened to Swiss music :-)

The following week we went to Puerto Morelos and Playa del Carmen (shopping), visited another pyramide called Muyil. I swam with dolphins! It was a really special experience, dolphins are so cute :-) we spent a lot of time on the beach, snorkling and in the evening in the bars and restaurants.
On Sunday we flew back to Mexico City and took the bus to Queretaro.

So on Wednesday was the big day :-) I met my parents again! I wanted to wait for them at the entrance of the hotel, but when i got there a man told me that they already checked in, so I met them outside their hotel-room. We just spent the day talking.
On Thursday we visited the ruins of Tulum, on Friday XCARET. Xcaret Eco Theme Park is full of Mexico; Mayan Culture, Flora and Fauna, Archaeological Tours and Water Attractions. You can swim in underground-rivers. On Saturday we went snorkling in an other laguna. We saw turtles, parrot fish, ^Roche^ and Tintefische :-)
On Sunday my godparents already left again, Ulla stayed for one day more. We went to Sian-Kaan, a big nature reserve.

On Friday evening I took the bus to the airport of Mexico City. I arrived at night time, it was amazing to see the city, it`s huge, really beautiful with all the lights. I met my godparents, Marianne, BG, Louise, Charlotte (their children and really good friends) and Ulla (friend of my parents) at the hotel. It felt so good to see them again, like home. I took a nice warm bath.
We got up early on Saturday, ate breakfast at Starbucks. Our flight to Cancun left at 8:50 a.m. In Cancun we rented a car, it took us ca. two hours to get to Akumal. Akumal is small town at the Riviera Maya, it`s not a big tourist place. The beach is public and they protect the turtles.
On Sunday we just lied on the beach, relaxing.
Monday we went snorkling in Xel-Ha, a big laguna. On Tuesday we went to the pyramides of Chichen Itza.

So, I started school three weeks ago. We had to change class. Now I`m alone in a class, without Thomas :-( it`s a bit boring to be the only exchange student. But I like my new class a lot :-) there are some really nice girls: Mayra, Myrna, Rosario, Yazmin, Alicia, Carmen, Fany, Claudia and Luz. We have got a new schedule: Matematicas (5 h), Filosofia (4 h), Estructura Socioeconomica (4 h), Ecologia (3 h), Literatura (3 h), Ingles (3 h), Educacion Fisica (2 h), Historia del Arte (3 h) and Dancing (1 h). We learn how to dance Danzon, Salsa and Cumbia, it`s really cool. I have to study a lot more now, the teacher ask me all the time questions! Jaja but it`s nice to be at school again.
Tomorrow is the 14. 02. 08 - Happy Valentins Day!

Gsicht vom Typ hani ned gse, schaetze dass er so um die 18ni isch. Es het i miner Nochberschaft so chlini Teenagergangs, vellicht isches eine vo dene gsi.
D´Strass isch beluechtet gsi, het au anderi Luet ka, die hend aber nur bloed glueget wos passiert isch. Es wer ned so tragisch gsi wenn sie gstole wurde waer, han nur s´Natel und oeppe 10 Fr. ide Taesche ka. Mini Kreditkarte hani immer diheime, us Sicherheit. Be de Guri hetti er meh Glueck ka, sie het MP3, Portemonnaie und s´Natel ide Taesche ka.
In Zuekunft werdi kei Taesche me bruche, oder eifach met ere leere umelaufe.

Mer sind am Morge nomol an Strand. Isch eifach de hammer gsi, im Dezember am Strand! Hans ned choene glaube. Het mega vill nackti Luet ka, jaja. Han sogar en Wal gse, wit usse im Meer, wow! Am 11i simmer zrugg zum Campingplatz und hend duschet. Ide Maennerduschi hets en Schlange ka...aay
Am 12i sind mer abgfahre, d`Bsitzerin isch am schlafe gsi, so min Dad isch eifach los ohni z`zahle, hehe.
Sind am 5i in Matias Romero acho. Samstig und Sunntig hend mir nuet speziells gmacht.
