At Pinewood, you rent by the week, up to 6 weeks in advance.

I got a villa which costs 300 lindens/week, (about USD 5/mo). The villa came with 150 prims, but due to my extensive toy collection, hehe, I got an additional 150 prims (another USD 5/mo). You can get extra prims in lots of 50. Leather Chaffee and his boy, Monty, are very easy to deal with.

And, you don't have to be a Premium Member of SL, which costs USD 10/mo.

If you want to build your own netherworld, though, you'll have to buy some land.

The concept of "value" in RL is very difficult for us avatars to understand, and nearly all species in RL other than homo erectus (H.e. for short).

I'm sure you are all aware of how H.e. evolved into their present boring state.Stuck in the same skin and subject to the whims of "Nature". Evolution and all that nonsense. It's no wonder they let parts of their conscience enter the Metaverse as vastly superior avatars.

As H.e. became social and organized, they specialized. One H.e. was better at growing corn, the other at collecting whale blubber, etc. Bravo! Their entire world adopted this bizarre concept of 'value'.

Fast forward to today. H.e. is in a pickle. Seems these markets have become connected with H.e. emotion. And now there's a helluva panic going on.

First of all, many H.e's really do need a Second Life, things are so much more expectedly chaotic in SL. And while avatars have some notion of "value", pfft, ultimately there's no RL 'worth' as such. We are all explorers here in SL, doing whatever we want, with a few bytes of data stuck on some server in San Francisco.

The H.e.'s are in a frenzy because they live in an economy based on knowledge and have no way to value it. This "intellectual capital" is worth a great deal and it will solve the H.e.'s present pickle.

As a favor to H.e., I'll give them a way to value intellectual capital. Since H.e.'s that don't progress are inert, this intellectual capital will be valued in "Nerts".

According to my calculation, the available Nert in RL is slightly less than one googol. I'll leave it to RL to start a stock exchange for Nert. But they should be very careful when they set up their next exchange, look what happened here:

We have our own understanding of how things came to be, and why they are the way they are. There is no method to it, you need not be in awe. We are free from the confines of RL, liberated from perceptions which need explanation. It is not a sense, not definite, no, nothing like that at all.

New Digz--Pinewood Island

Been a few months that I've been slumming around the various clubs. Last April I was late paying my tier cuz I was in another galaxy, and the owners confiscated the property... yeah, after 9 months of paying tier and $25k linden purchase price.

Found a cool new SIM, Pinewood Island with a Gay BDSM theme. You wouldn't know it's BDSM, not like there's a bunch of BDSM gear for sale on Main Street. Its actually pretty tame, but who knows whats going on at the neighbors... hehe.

Only rentals are available, but they are reasonable, and can get additional prims if you need them. Also, the owners Leather and Monty are very cool, easy to deal with and responsive.

I have been scratching my head for the past month over certain events in RL. As a result, all the prim hair in my inventory has been completely deleted.

RL has decided to copy SL and crash. We avatars in SL are so used to crashes. During one crash, my cock was deleted. Now THAT is a problem. Having nothing 'down south', well it's not good look, very un-binary. Crashes are never fun.

Apparently some RL griefers sold houses to people that couldn't afford them. Then other griefers bundled these mortgages into huge objects and sold pieces of this object all over RL. Lovely how they called it "securitization", sounds more like "in-securitazation" to me. As far as those credit "swaps" are concerned, well those sound very BDSM to me.

Other griefers who supply energy decided that RL should still run on "fossil" fuels. How Cretaceous. Ask any dinosaur about the perils of global warming. Don't RL ppl need to discover the efficiency of teleporting. Last I measured, I was traveling near the speed of light across the Metaverse for no cost at all.

Finally, it seems a vote took place in some of those Untied States of America that eliminated the right for RL gay people to marry. Will the Lindens follow suit and one day I look in my profile and the Partner box is gone? What about Furries, Vampires, Goreans, and interplanetary nematodes? Have you ever been to a nematode wedding? OMG, the particle effects at their weddings are unreal.

If RL people don't want same-sex RL people to marry, then those RL people should just put up a ban on their own home parcel that doesn't welcome gay married people. It's very easy. RL same-sex people don't want everyone in their bedrooms, they're just asking for a little privacy. I think the RL TOS in the USA says something about the right to privacy and equal rights. Time to quit griefing same-sex RL people. If RL people want to be intolerant, I suggest they get a Second Life and live in their own beige SIM.

Master/Slave relationships

RL US History around the 1860's: a nasty f*ckin war, which killed like 360K RL men, was fought to free slaves. SL 2008: I have more slaves that want to serve me than I can handle. KM scratches head... I don't quite get this, being educated that slavery was a really BAD thing. Yet in SL, you have male, female, furry, whatever slaves all over the place. Collar, shackles and all. And in keeping with our new open-source economy, these slaves are free! I'm not a psychologist and all this slavery shit intrigues me. And in SL, you don't read about it in some textbook, you can live it.

Before SL, I knew of some kinky shit, BDSM, etc. But I had no idea that lurking in the mind of people in RL (like the dude in front of you when your checking out at the grocery store), is someone who wants to be enslaved. They want to be told what to do, when to do it, and will do practically anything to keep their Master happy. Humiliation: one of my fetishes is a muscle bottom in garters and tights, ok, I'm a perv. Flogging. Manipulation, i.e. demanding the slave to perform certain acts (with TOS, of course) with other avis. If u can imagine it, and propose it to them right, you can pretty much get whatever u want.

A slave will do practically anything then to be 'owned'. My experience is that slaves don't want to be loved, certainly don't want to be kissed or fondled, they want to belong to someone they respect, fear and have the hots for. And they have limits too, each one has their boundaries as far as how much they will take. But they have some need for respect and, of course, they want your attention.

The downside of having a slave is that if something long-term begins to form, eventually you may be faced with making your slave your 'chat buddy'. There's the rub. My domination should not show the challenges and shit of RL. A Master is above that. Therefore, I've not had a successful long term M/S relationship, cuz SL is a social outlet as well, livin in the hills in RL, as I do, but phi beta kappa from UC Berkeley.

No, nobody caged or jailed my ass in SL. Some RL shit has consumed my time, just leaving a bit of time to screw around in-world. Again, SL kinda came to the rescue, cuz I needed an escape from RL and SL gave me some much needed breathing space.
Unfortunately, the ultra cool escort I was dating seems to have dropped my ass. I guess a week offline and, for some gayvies, you discontinue your existence. That sux. I kinda liked the boi. You may think I had it coming to me for dating a hustler. I told him I was cool with his 'work', as long as his heart had room for me. In RL I couldn't date a hustler, mostly out of concern of his and my safety. However, SL is a different story. First of all, he was making Lindens with his 'biz'. Secondly, in SL it is much more about the emotional/role playing connection for me. I really didn't give a shit if he is a whore, I don't give a shit in RL either. Dang, it's legal in Germany.
What I cared about with him was his near-constant use of the hug/kiss/pounce animation. Everytime he saw me, I got the window to accept his invite for an animation. Watching my boy run up to me, and pounce me down to the ground won me over, much like my dog wagging her tail when she sees me in RL. And, the other animation where I would hold him in my arms. Well that's SL. It didn't phase me at all. I've been at SL for 2 years now, and know that ultimatley SL is a game you are playing with yourself, examining your own self and personality and living out the fantasies you've always dreamt about. Don't expect a RL relationship and the commitments that come with them, however, there are those who seem to keep a SL relationship going. It's what you want to make of it, but for newbies who blend their RL emotions into SL, take it from me, it's just a freakin game dude. Don't take it too seriously.

2. When inworld, hit the "map" button at the bottom of the screen.

3. To the left of the "Search" button on the map screen, enter the name of the SIM, then hit the Search button.

4. The SIM will then appear on the map. Then enter the coordinates in the 3 boxes under "Location"

5. Then hit "Teleport"
