It bothered me that every character in the movie kept saying how good he was at fixing things, but we were never shown that - in fact, from what we're shown, he sucks at his job. He's given the plot-crucial task of controlling his crazy friend and he fails miserably. Michael Clayton the character is as over-hyped as the movie named after him.
