Joel, you must have seen a superior print. The one I saw did not look anywhere as good as the new Star Wars movies. I'm with you that the 'look' of Superman would be great for a lot of projects I can think of. But it just looked wrong for Superman.

to clarify, i never said the images were pretty or beautiful. i was simply amazed at the fact that it was such better video quality than what we're used to seeing on the big screen. it appears to be an improvement in several key areas from what the last few Star Wars showed us as the "cutting edge" a few years back (when Lucas was having people make up the technology/lenses/cameras on the fly).
