Introducing The Bodygroom Manalogues .

Developed by Tribal DDB Worldwide, the Bodygroom Manalogues is a collection of written and performed narratives from the “front lines of male body grooming.”

"Every hairy guy has a story” says Steve Nesle, ECD at Tribal DDB New York. “It happens that many of these stories are freaking hilarious. But they also get you thinking and nodding your head. It’s this empathy that we believe is the spirit of the shaveeverwhere.com brand.”

In one Manalogue, a man overcomes his shame through poetry slam. In another, a resentful twin blames his small size and hairy features on his twin brother hogging all the breast milk. “He was always pushing and shoving, pushing and shoving” he recounts.

The first five installments are performed by comedian Bryan Callen, who has appeared on Mad TV, Entourage and Sex and the City. Gizmodo smells an Oscar (if they had such a thing for digital content).
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_EUMUnkNJR5s/SNKn6X9VZlI/AAAAAAAAARU/9Sgm_CQjTc4/s320/manalogues.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5247441137145570898" />
The Bodygroom Manalogues is meant to be a platform for “regular Joes to get more than the hair off their chests” says Pete Johnson, ACD and the project’s lead writer.

Site visitors are invited to submit their own Manalogues. The best submissions will be performed for “all the web to see.”

A unique feature of the site allows visitors to “clap” during each manalogue in real time. Visitors can compare the intensity of their claps with that of the aggregate audience.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_EUMUnkNJR5s/SNKqRNqd37I/AAAAAAAAARc/MV7zGkFIliU/s320/manalogues_txt.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5247443728542326706" />
The Bodygroom Manalogues is a tribute and a solution to every man whose ever been pointed at, made fun of, or been ashamed of his natural man-growth. “If you’ve ever seen me in a bathing suit, you know I speak from experience” says Johnson.

Bravo team Philips: Pete, Leo, Mae, Mark, Keith, Matt, Jason, Julio, Amy, Tanel, Smith, Serge, Yue, Gregor, Susanne and our friends at Antfarm.

Steve Neslenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8341128480206389629.post-62990759274906057782008-09-17T06:49:00.000-07:002008-09-17T07:17:38.283-07:00Listen to your former self.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_EUMUnkNJR5s/SNEQvUmyGiI/AAAAAAAAAQw/WGjsC_crDRY/s320/solvay.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5246993446034610722" />

There are 13.8 million men over the age of 45 who quietly suffer the effects of low testosterone, or "Low T." Those effects can include decreased sex drive, loss of energy, body changes, depressed mood and erectile dysfunction.

Solvay Pharmaceuticals has launched an unbranded Web site to raise awareness of this issue in a dramatic way.

The site, IsItLowT.com , was created by Tribal DDB Health Worldwide, New York.

In it, a shadow welcomes visitors by stating, "Recognize me? I'm a shadow of who you used to be before low testosterone, or Low T, started slowing you down." The shadow then guides visitors through the site, reminding them what life was like before Low T and encouraging them to consult their doctor.

“With the media’s incredible focus on erectile dysfunction and the marketing of Viagra, there is an alarming lack of awareness and misdiagnosis of what is actually Low T,” said Tim Pantello, Managing Partner, Tribal DDB Health Worldwide. “This effort seeks to drive awareness and education around symptoms that are often dismissed and mistreated. We are incredibly proud to have been a part of this campaign and a partner to Solvay in this effort.”

Congrats: Cedric, Pete, Kinney, Matt, Kendall, Ben, Spencer, Matt, Michele, Mika and Tim.

Steve Neslenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8341128480206389629.post-15936386000861454632008-07-16T07:10:00.000-07:002008-07-16T07:20:19.159-07:00Drink more milk, or else.

Hillarious work from Tribal DDB Vancouver for the British Columbia Dairy Foundation.

The site, MustDrinkMoreMilk.com , features three digital shorts, including my personal favorte "Helga vs. Holga" (above). Or am I being haunted?

The Sci Fi Channel and Tribal DDB New York are answering this question through The Great American Ghost Hunt . Conceived to promote Sci Fi’s reality hit Ghost Hunters , current and future fans are invited to submit their real-life hauntings for a chance to have their story investigated on an actual episode of Ghost Hunters.

The digital portion of the promotion consists of Tribal developed banner ads and a microsite . Check out the ads here , here (video expand) , and here .

The heart of the miscrosite is a dynamic map of the user-submitted hauntings. Phase two - which launches in a couple of weeks - will be powered by the Google map API, allowing site visitors to zoom in on each haunting, read the case file, vote on whether the haunting is worth investigating, and sort the hauntings by type and rating.

Nicely done team Sci Fi: Julie, Jeff, Michele, Julie, Julio, Smith, David, Nicholas, Shawn, Len and Kelley.

Steve Neslenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8341128480206389629.post-80257836113991174462008-03-07T07:30:00.001-08:002008-03-07T12:58:06.739-08:003 seasons in 30k.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_EUMUnkNJR5s/R9Fm4JjdsoI/AAAAAAAAAKM/otBOlDp8jz0/s320/spin.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5175030561648784002" />
Sex-starved and occasionally homicidal Cylons aside, what makes Battlestar Galactica on The Sci Fi Channel a huge success is that it’s foremost a human drama. The relationships between the main characters are layered and complicated. Their hidden connections and fates are what keep millions tuning in.

Our objective was to leverage these deep and interesting storylines to get current and future fans to tune in to the premier of the fourth and, sadly, final season.

We did this by catching people up on three seasons of drama - all in one banner ! We created a roulette wheel of sorts - a banner featuring some of the more interesting characters in constant rotation. At any time you can click to stop the rotation and reveal a potential plot point involving any three of the characters.

You can keep spinning the banner. There are 26 different combinations, 26 different plot points to uncover, all within this simple 30k banner. That amounts to a lot of time spent on the banner catching up on the show, reminding yourself to tune in to see how it all turns out.

One version of the banner was designed for die-hard fans, another for more casual fans , and still another featured an easter egg: If you get a certain combination of characters, the banner will reveal hidden video content!

Congrats to Julie, Michele, Jeff, Julie, Julio, Jason, Kelley, Aaron and Linda.

Steve Neslenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8341128480206389629.post-8083920265985315542008-01-21T09:56:00.000-08:002008-01-21T10:19:04.875-08:00Tribal DDB named Global Agency of the Year.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_EUMUnkNJR5s/R5TeF5UL5MI/AAAAAAAAAJk/PDLTUdRtHQM/s320/alist08tribalddb.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5157991666112259266" />
Advertising Age has for the first time ever named a Digital Agency its Global Agency Of The Year.
