I saw &lt;a href="http://tech.yahoo.com/news/nm/20090226/tc_nm/us_usa_gambling_internet_2"&gt;this article&lt;/a&gt; today about a recent study that says the US government could net over $50 Billion in tax revenue over the next decade by legalizing online gambling. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There were couple other interesting items in the article.  First of all the study found that online gambling had actually increased in the last three years despite the UIGEA.  Also it says Barney Frank intends to introduce legislation this year to repeal that law.  Now that Republicans are no longer in control it may actually have a chance of passing.  Its funny that now that they aren't in control they are suddenly worried about fiscal responsibility.
