So there are songs on here that are completely unknown and unavailable on vinyl… The absolutely killer funk-psych burner “Choirs In My Teardrops” is perhaps the most criminal example of a record that never was, but Real Heads will notice the DJ Shadow-remixed “This Time” (here as “Untitled”) by, simply, “Joe”. This mix is the first appearance of the track and the Genesis of Shadow’s piece.

It took me a while to get around to checking it but I regretted putting it off as soon as the first track dropped, which is this one. The album goes hard as hell, they got hella motherfuckers on the cut too. Fucking record features Playa Fly, Pastor Troy, Lil' Flip, Yo Gotti, Gangsta Boo, Gangsta Blac, Kingpin Skinny Pimp, Blackout, Nick Scarfo, Kelo, Indo-G, Koopsta Knicca, K-Rock, T-Rock, Hottsauce, Raw Dawg, and 7:30. The whole record is basically a posse cut. Cop It, Cook It is hands down the best cut on the record. That beat is fucking retarded, it fucking smashes its way through the whole track and never lets up. The other two tracks I'm really feeling are "Crush Domes" and "Pump Yo Brakes." One of which features the call and response "When I Say SuckaAss You Say Bitch!" You can't lose with this record.

If you're looking for some anti softhands rap then get wise and peep game for reals.

Roctober is MC Oroville's (Oroville blog) month. This pasty lump of country moonshine and crusty gas station nacho cheese covered facial hair is finally releasing his new album, Do Something. It features the international hit song My Van which stars some of Gurp City's finest, Luke Sick, Topr, Conceit, GameTightElectro, and Z-man with the shouts at the end. My yelling even makes a small appearance at the end. I know that the world has anxiously been anticipating the release of this magnificent record but you must realize that while the record promotes a proactive approach at life we are dealing with drunks so the ability to actually do something is significantly hampered, in this case by a year. But who cares, at least he did something and you can do something by buying it. This magnum opus will impact the world of music in a way that none have ever seen before. Do Something takes as its subject a theme close to the composer's heart: the defeat of tyranny through man's innate desire for merles and rap. The work will be held in high critical esteem; despite its sometimes shaky plot, the music is unassailably great and blazes with Oroville's steadfast commitment to liberty and humanity. This album makes explicit the strand of idealism that seems to simmer beneath the surfaces of many of his other works, and if it does not have the universal appeal of some of his better-known meth classics, it nevertheless seems very close to Oroville's own heart.

I picked up this record at Freinds Of Sound in Austin back in march, it's some late 80's Flint Michigan rap. I have never heard of these dudes but with an album title like Reap And Destroy and the incredible cover art I decided it would be wise to cop. The group consists of 4 dudes with some amazingly complex rap names, Fresh Kid, Master Emcee, Doc Beat and Jay. The liner notes on this record are actually kind of dope, shit like on the back it says "The Connoisseurs of Groove is a group of young men from Flint, Michigan, who insist that the Midwest is the best when it comes to rap music." The liner notes also list the zodiac signs of each of the members which makes no fucking sense at all but whatever.

As for the music these dudes are on some slow big beat shit and they like to yell their raps which I enjoy the shit out of. I played Reap and Destroy at a party and a friend described asked if it was "pre-crunk" and that's kind of a fitting way to describe the sound.

Rock the Lynn has got some faster raps but beat is similar to Reap and Destroy. I can't figure out if I like this more than Reap And Destroy, fast raps work but RAD is a little more epic in its sound. Although Rock the Lynn does end some some jaw dropping beatbox skills, fuck the shit is so amateur I think I could do it better.

Bring The Bass Back

Man the album is suppose to drop next week and since the retail finally leaked I think dudes ain't bullshitting about it. Thank fucking god, rap music needs this record right now. Fuck more t-pain remixes and boring ass rappers who all sound like sucks. It's good to hear some shit that actually has a unique style.

Rick Rock has some fucking bangers on this shit, my favorite being Bring The Bass Back, shit just goes hard as hell. Droop-E produced some dope tracks too, like Broke Niggas and Minnie Minnie which features Freeway who sounds fucking dope as hell on this shit. Dude really should fuck with more bay cats cause his style works well with that aggressive hyphy shit. I can't decide if I like this more than Street Novelist yet but I know this completely shits on the 40 record. No retarded shit like making only half the record dope and the other have weak softhands bullshit. I've only gotten through the record once but I'm feeling the fuck out of this.
