1.8.2008 Trainees reunion

After 5 years some of us met again. I organized tram party and it really felt like no time passed:) Then partying at trainee´s balcony above KFC at Andel with the most amazing view and dancing in Futurum. It is so great to meet friends and feel still the same, seeing the smiles and surprised faces of people who didnt know that they will meet that day:)partying like 5 years back - this is much more exhausting than it used to be, i have no clue how I managed to party whole night and the next day work from 8am!!!I am really getting older:)

Beskydy

Mid july - I invited Jirka´s sister with her family to my hometown - Vendryně. We did some nice trips in Beskydy mountains - Kamienity, Kuzubova, Zorymbek, Ostry:)I felt in love with Beskydy again.

Berlin

The first weekend of July we went to see Kamil in Berlin, just for a weekend, but it was amazing. We took free city tour, which was amazing:)the tour guide works for free and he tries to entertain and say as many interesting facts as possible, so at the end he gets huge tips:) I must say that we saw almost all major sights in Berlin and we really enjoyed it.

Small reunion

Monika organised small reunion from primary schooll. It was held on her family challey in Vendryne, where she will start building house after her wedding which shall be in two months time. This is what I call ideal reuinions. Just those you really feel like meeting, inluding their boyfrds, husbands, kids etc. It was really cool.

Doma je doma

On Friday we went by train to Vendryne after one month ... again fully packed train, but we went to coach for mothers with children(the place people are scared to take a seat, as they are worried about screaming kids). The journey was fast as we made friends with one small boy, I played with him for about 2 hours or maybe even more, it was fun:)

On Saturday we went to see my sister with her family, they took us by car to Košařice and we went up to Kamienity. It was a bautifull 3hour walk!I upload some of the views so you can see the marvelous view-points. In the evening we went for a beer with my father and his friends. We were speaking partly in polish, so Jirka could not understand sometimes, but generally he is getting better and better....slowly starting speaking "po naszymu":)

On Sunday we celebrated my birthday - i had two birthday cakes:) = my sister bought a new mixer and she loves using it, so that means we eat all the time:) we had a BBQ as well and some other cakes that my uncle brought - meaning I will be on a diet for next two weeks:)

Boats

It is 26 degrees in Prague right now, sun is shining and finally we rent a small boat on Vltava and took a small "cruise" for 1 hour in the morning. It was really beautifull...you do not even feel you are right in the city centre:)

Nice surprise

Today I received nice surprise from Anet:) - Svetozor´s cakes rulles!!!We had nice itallian lunch, ate the cake full of berries, drank coffee and then went for a walk to Stromovka, I am there somehow too often:)

Yesterday after my english class I went to book shop and saw Coelho´s Brida - too tempting, especially when I should study:) So I bought it, soon I will finish it....I know I should read some boring book to study for exam, but but but...I am still the same:)

I moved from Hostivař to Holešovice:) just to update you a lil bit:)

From that moment on life never stopped at my flat, all the time some parties, slowly also becoming hostel lady:):)but i definitelly love it! On Sunday Lucka and Starosta stayed here, Gecko came to visit us, and we took a nice walk along Vltava in Holešovice(never knew this place exists). We felt like on countryside, drinking beer in someone´s garden:), hunting for cache(weird game where someone hides something at some nice place, writes on internet where it is and people try to find it, in case they do, they write to small notebook that they were there). In the evening eating "utopence" and drinking beer - the thing that Lucka and Starosta missed sooo much abroad:)Welcome back guys!

India again

Last 13 days I spent in India together with 15 of our sponsors and one more collegue from work. We reached Delhi on Saturday night 27th Jan and saw bit of Delhi, then moved to Agra, spent one night at Sheela Inn - everything is still the same there:same staff, same cook, same menu, same rooms:)The small boy from the small shop where I used to buy coca-cola and kitkat when the power went off 2,5 years back is still there and his english improved sooo much!!!Tuesday morning we went to see Taj Mahal and Agra Fort and afternoon we went to Fatephur Sikri and then back to Delhi. On Wednesday we flew to Goa and spent one afternoon on beach:) and Thursday we started our journey around the partner organisations we work with.

Lucka Loukotova joined our group in Goa and next five days she spent with us helping especially with translation when we had to split into more groups with different agenda and plus she helped sponsors to bargain:)

At each organisation we were welcomed with cultural programme prepared by children - dances, songs, etc.

We saw lots of villages and spoke to them while sponsors were visiting the children who they support financialy. We also interacted with some villagers involved in self-help-groups known thanks to micro financing.

Entering new year...2K8

I had awesome christmas holiday this year. I spent five days at home, catching up with lots of people, playing with my niece, eating christmas sweets:)

Then I spent five days in Kutná Hora(one hour from Prague). It was the most relaxing time of the year 2007. Nice walks every day, drinking svařák(hot wine), went to church, watched Pat&Mat on NYE, met new friends,...

Year 2007 was really special:

I visited - 2 x Germany, Hungary, UK, Sri Lanka, Belgium..mainly with Lucka S., Lucka L., Anet, Kamil, Klara, Zelva. I met some old friends like Charin, Maria, Srini, Geraldine, ... I graduated, so I have bachelor degree finaly:), finished first year of masters...and met man of my life(hopefully:))

Year 2008 - I should visit India at the end of January. I might move. I plan to write my thesis. I hope to see my good old friends like Maria again. Two of Luckas should come back to Prague:):):) I should visit Kamil in St. Gallen.

I wish all of you Happy New Year - full of joy, hapiness, peace, love and nice friendships!!!!!!

Belgium - Antwerps, Leuven, Brussels

I went for a weekend with Kamil to see Maria(maria.nomadlife.org). On Friday we went to Antwerps - we liked it, but now compared to Leuven we didnt like it as much, anyways most of the time we spent in pizzeria chatting, cause it was badly raining outside:)Later we had chilled out evening with Maria in her flat in Brussels. On Saturday we went to Leuven - which is amazing city full of students and it was not crowded - so we both loved it! We had nice two hour walk around the city and then went back to Brussels to see at least a bit of the city we slept in:) but for me it wad too much people around. The city is not that bad:) In the evening Maria cooked nice dinner, then we went for a beer:)

We try to keep the rule of meeting each other with Maria at least once a year. I hope the next year will be Malta!:) On Sunday we went for a mass, then ice-cream at Haagen-Dazs and back home to Prague. Coming back to Prague we were shocked how freezing it is here, but thats the "czech standard":(

It is great to leave all troubles behind and enjoy the weekend with no stress, no people calling me asking for things, no big studies etc.

First snow

It was crazy, cause weather was changing so fast in Krkonoše - first sun shining, meanwhile we got dressed snowstorm started!we tried to go for a walk, but we couldnt see anything, so we went back to challey and once we took the boots off the sun started shining:)

AIESEC Prague alumni reunion

Previous weekend we spend at Seč - yes, again, I have no clue how many times I have been there - but for sure over 15:) It was exactly five years from the time when I joined AIESEC and it was very special because most of the people I was there with were there also 5 years back:) VŠE is anonymous university, but thanks to AIESEC I can kind of say I have my "university class":) and I am sure that at least each year we will meet again and again. Funny part is that most of us are still studying:):)

Trip to Germany

At the end of September Kamil, Anet, Zelva and me went for a prolonged weekend to Germany - Neuschwanstein, Munich, Regensburg. It was excellent relax after the first week at school, where I started to panic if I manage everything or not. It is really hard to manage to be fulltime student and almost full time employee:( Friday 28th was a it too cold and rainy sometimes but we had a good fun going 6hours in car...for those who know Zelva it is not that hard to imagine:) Friday night we spent at Chris´s house - THANK YOU!!!:)And on Saturday we moved to Munich - first sightseeing with Magda, then we went to Octoberfest, but we didnt manage to get a seat in one of those cool tends, but we were happy to find some space in beer garden at least. Thanks Magda for having us at your flat - it had one very big advantage, it took us 5 mins to get to Octoberfest by foot!:) On Sunday we stayed for some time also in Regensburg, as it was on our way home. It was the most beautifull city I have seen in Germany, maybe it was so nice cause there were not that many tourist compared to Munich during Octoberfest..hehehe:)

Back from Sri Lanka

I am already back from my three week trip around Sri Lanka. I wrote a diary in czech on http://dankainsrilanka.blogspot.com/ (for non-czech speakers ae just pictures:))..i am sorry but i wrote it mainly to update my family on where i am and what i am doing...so it had to be in czech.

I had really amazing time...Sri Lanka is perfect for travelling, everything was so easy...to get from one place to the other, buses going all the time. We basically saw everything possible that is available for tourist(some areas are forbiden due to the Jaffna conflict), but we even got a chance to see some of the forbiden parts in the north:)

Now back to work..which is quite a shock...but thats the reality:(

yes...reached Colombo on thursday and i feel like at home...weird, ej?
the first night we spent in Negombo...mainly sleeping after very tiring flight and all travelling. Today we are already in Hikkaduwa, i hope i will have some more time to post about the experiences we have here....on a very very quick note:

it is amazing country with perfect food, long beaches[and what is more important clean!!!beaches] ...all aroud are palms ....

someone should stop me from going to asia again, cause i think that more and more i will travel more i will want to stay here...i dont know...maybe somehow part of me is Asian.
Some things that foreigners hate i just simply love...

maybe i should try to live here for some months.....

can someone stop me from thinking like this?
