Time for a break!

Enough pictures already (ha!)..... I thought it was time for a break, so I thought I would share with you, my clients, what I like to do in my downtime.

You know I love to spend time with my girls and my husband, but I also love to spend time with God. Pastor Mike (our pastor) at Cathedral of the Cross, shared a site that has online daily devotions. It is Lifejournal.cc and is based out of a church in Oahu, Hawaii (I would love to be there right now, too). Here is the Pastor's Daily Devotional page if you have a few minutes and want to check it out. It is a great way to take a much needed break and spend some time with God in the middle of our business. And we all need that!

Welcome to the New Blog....

Well, I only began blogging 21 days ago and already, I have a new blogsite! I think the blog will be much easier to use with the interface for vidoes and updating comments. I hope you enjoy seeing a little glimpse of my work as much as I enjoy creating it. Please visit often and leave comments when you can. I would love to hear from you.

Sweet Baby Girl

I had the incredible opportunity to photograph sweet baby Darcy just a few days after she arrived home from the hospital. At only 10 days old, we captured some of the sweetest moments with her parents and sisters in her nursery at home. What a blessing to be able to be a part of this family’s life during such a special time. I am thankful to God for the opportunity to be a part of capturing moments like these to make them “last a lifetime!”

A Family Tradition

I was so excited to be able to gather the entire Pohlman Family for this generational portrait session at their grandparents house in April. We had light rain and a few excited grandchildren, but were still able to capture these memories that I know will be cherished for years. What a beautiful family!

Spring Easter Pictures

The weather was perfect and the kids had so much fun during this session at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. I have had the privilege of photographing Maggie and Micah since Micah was born… it is great to watch them grow up in pictures! We were able to capture some sweet moments of their close relationship with lots of hugs and kisses during this shoot. Their love for each other really shows in these pictures! Joe & Elainia - The Engagement

Joe and Elainia were engaged in February and have a date set for a September wedding. We had the best time at thier engagement session photographed in late March at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. The first question Joe had (after seeing previous engagement sessions I’ve shot), was… “When can I kiss her?” That is always the guys favorite part!!!! Raindrops keep falling on my head... During a wedding?!

This was my first post on the old blog... I brought it over to the new one.

Finally… I’m joining the blogging world! This past Saturday’s wedding was something I wanted to share so it was the perfect incentive to create a blog. On Saturday, March 29, 2008, Bryan and Audra Patterson were married at Mountain View Gardens and Ballroom in Springville… outside in the pouring down rain!
Just before Audra walked to meet her groom the sky opened up and the rain came down hard. The Daniels Photography Team captured some incredible moments during the ceremony in spite of the weather (thanks Fred, Cassie and Mary Katherine). Audra and Bryan enjoyed every minute of thier ceremony during the downpour (and it shows in the pictures!). Here is a short clip with a few pictures from the event.
