We are up early again and walk the course - several times. Dale and I have talked about the setup changes we'd like to make and we have consulted our setup guru's back in California (Jason and Jon) and the decision is unanimous. Dale and I are up at 0 dark 30 (about 4 AM PST) to head out to Lincoln Airpark to get ready for the first day of competition. As I sit here on the flight to Omaha, Nebraska, on my way to the SCCA Nationals, it's a good time to reflect and think about this year and how the car has progressed on the Bridgestone RE-11 tires. It's the last day to give the car a shakedown before it is loaded on the transporter to Nationals. I'm up at 4 AM to go pick up the Civic from Jason. We run in the morning and the weather is very pleasant. Warm enough to not have to worry about if the tires are warm enough and not the typical scorching weather.
