The Detroit crowd was large, shabby and angry. The shoved their way into the already crowed auditorium and glared at anything at the moved.

At length a well dressed man appeared an stage and took to the microphone.

“We have run out of your money,” Then man announced.

The crowd had been promised that they would get money from President Karl Marx. They believed they would get money from President Karl Marx. It was owed to them. Some of the crowd got on its feet and prepared to rush the stage.

A thin, nattily dressed elderly gentleman rushed on stage and ripped the microphone right out of the young man’s hands.

“Wait! Wait!” The old man shouted.

“The reason why the government has no money to give to you is they already gave it to the Wall Street bankers.”

The crowd was puzzled. Still angry but puzzled.

The old man continued. “You know that the government creates wealth.”

The crowd, feeling a stimulus/response portion of a political sermon was about to commence roared “Yeah!”

“And when the Wall Street bankers bankrupted the world the government was willing to print a trillion for them!”

“Yeah!”

“And when the unions and the community organizers asked for stimulus money the government printed a trillion more dollars for them. Am I right?”

“That’s right!”

“But when you who have had nothing and have nothing ask for the government to print a trillion dollars for you, suddenly that’s to inflationary. Tell me I’m lying”

“You not lying!”

“Get on a bus. Borrow your brother in law’s car. Do what you got to do but leave now so you can get to Washington DC by Halloween. When the international press comes to Washington to cover the response to Devil’s Night, you tell the press that you know that money President Karl Marx is using to pay our debt to China is newly printed funny money. And that you want China to get behind you because you want to get your funny money first!”

President Karl Marx was thankful that he could trust his live in lover, Mao Mao to watch his twin boys while the Commander in Chief took care of the affairs of state. Although Mao Mao was not biologically related to the boys, the man took care of them like he was a second father.

President Marx returned to matters at hand. He looked around his war room and was again comforted about the strong progressives he was able to surround himself with. Each of them was dedicated to turning the United States into a Socialist Republic, as was he, and each of them was smart enough never to say so in public.

“So Lenin,” Marx as his Secretary of the Treasury, “is it true what that mass gathering of trick or treaters is saying. Are we paying off the Chinese with freshly printed money?”

Vlad Lenin the Secretary of the treasury looked like a librarian on steroids. He sported the thick horn rimmed glasses of a librarian. He wore tweed suits with patches on the elbows. But whether it was bad tailoring or that maybe he really was on steroids, the man also looked like he was about to Hulk out of his suit.

Lenin was sweating and nervous. Never a good sign. It was better than even money that the next words out of his mouth were going to be a lie.

“Mr. President, all of the money we use to pay off our foreign debt is electronic. None of it is actually printed per se.”

“So,” said the president, “ it’s worse than printing. All of our money is a computer fiction.”

“Well. Not all of it…”

“Mr. President, “the Secretary of State interjected,” No country in the world is accepting dollars.”

The Secretary of Commerce piped up,” Store shelves are beginning to go bare. Our goods our stacking up at transshipment points because suddenly everyone thinks our goods are crap.”

Suddenly the president of the United States had a huge headache. He wanted usher in European Socialism. Instead he was presiding over the economic collapse of the United States.

“Mr. President?” It was the new Secretary of Energy. The old one had quit after the President suspended all environmental laws, ordinances and treaties.

The President was not familiar with the new guy and he was irked by the fact that it might come out that he didn’t know the man’s name.

Jackson Patriot was one of the few black men in a mostly white government. The liberal media, which is to say all of the media except Fox News, talk radio and the internet, had forced the progressive president to go outside of this own leftist good old boy network to pick a black man to replace the energy Secretary. The President was idly wondering if he was about to regret it.

Jackson Patriot ran hand over his bald head and pressed past the really annoyed look on the face of the commander in chief. “I know how we can fix everything. Our debt, deficit, balance of payments, unemployment, everything.”

The cabinet, to a man, snickered.

“Don’t keep us in suspense,” said the corpulent Health and Human Services Secretary. “Do tell us how the new kid on the block is going to save the world.”

Jackson Patriot had just sweated his white shirt clean through. He knew he was going to stutter but he pushed ahead anyway. “C-Coal, oil and gas Mr. President. Lift every presidential order, finding and restriction on mining, drilling, shipping, and refining energy. They may not like our dollar but they have always liked our energy.”

The head of the EPA fainted dead away. While she was being attended to by the Secretary of Defense, Jackson Patriot continued. “A full court press on fossil fuels now will employ thousands right away. If we push to turn the third world on to using cheap coal rather than some eco-vaporware that doesn’t exist, we could turn this around in a fortnight.”

The president wound up firing half his cabinet and turning the United States into a net fossil fuels supplier. The change did not do all that the Secretary of Energy said. But it did enough. It kept the creditors at bay long enough to let the cyclical economy swing back to prosperity.

Whenever someone says that he has been on a reduced sugar/starch diet for a year and he has not only not lost weight, he has actually gained weight, I for one figure that person is probably lying.

Unless you ware on a friend chicken diet–with extra grease–it is going be be difficult for you to stay fat after you cut out all the sodas and drink water only as well as give up all cakes, crackers, bread, cookies and pies. Even people on protein diets have been shown to lose weight. Unless we are prepared to accept the proposition that you alone on the surface of the earch, violate the laws physics by gaining massive weight through the exposure to sunlight, we are forced to the conclusion that you are being less than truthful about your diet.

There may be some exceptions to the rule. You maybe on one of those sleeping pills that cause you to cook up and eat a 7 course meal in your sleep. Or perhaps alien zombies from the plant Uranus kidnapped you and after the prerequisite amateur proctology lessons, they injected you with space aged synthetic fat molecules until your eyeballs were swimming.

The truth is it is likely that you are being less than accurate with others in the area of your diet. You might want to see a shrink about that. The moment you find out why you are a stranger to the truth about what you are actually eating and drinking every day, the pounds will melt off. Or…maybe not…

If on the other hand you have found a way to put on the pounds merely by inhaling oxygen, then all I can say is Eureka!. At long last the Holy Grail of modern science has been discovered. We are a living perpetual motion machine. We shall discard our gerbils and take you and others of your kind and put you all in giant hamster balls. You shall power our cars and fuel our society. The way some people talk about money reveals that they believe the government creates and therefore has an inherent right to control wealth. However, government does not create wealth. This fact can be easily proven.

Why doesn’t the federal government print a trillion dollars for each of us and give us the money? If the government did this how much would a loaf of bread cost?

The answers to these questions can be easily found. This experiment has already been done in real time in Zimbabwe and the Wiemar Republic. If you Google these governments you will find that rampant inflation occurred. The money became worthless. Wheelbarrows full of cash were required to buy a loaf of bread.

By the way, would you happen to have a wheel barrow full of cash laying around? No? Well then you might understand why some people object to the government running up trillion dollar deficits and paying them off by simply printing the money. There is an old saying that those who fail to remember history are doomed to repeat it.

We have seen this movie. We know how it ends. The Wiemar Republic became the Nazis and they started World War II. Oddly enough, some folks don’t want to see that particular movie again. At least not with themselves in the starring roles.

I have heard the argument that George Bush did a lot of deficit spending. If it was a good idea when he did it then why is it not a good idea now?

Since when was George Bush made an economic genius? Excuse me but are you saying that George Bush was the smartest man in the history of the planet so any economic theory he employed must be correct?

Trillion dollar deficits were a mistake on George Bush’s watch and they are a mistake now.

The whole world is threatening to unpeg itself from the dollar. Printing money or even borrowing trillions from China makes this eventuality even more likely.

Why do you care? The next time you go to a store like Walmart, look at where all the goods come from. Now suppose they no longer wanted dollars for the stuff you buy. Where would you get your stuff then? The oil we use to make gas comes from people who used to take dollars for the oil. Now suppose they didn’t.

The best case scenario is that other nations would decide our fate. We would no longer be in control. These other nations would look at our trillions of dollars of debt and our deficit spending and they would mark the dollar down. How far down? Who knows. Remember, we lost control.

The worst case scenario? Break out the wheel barrow. Oh. Right. You don’t have wheelbarrows full of cash lying around to buy that loaf of bread. Never mind. I hear they eat grass in North Korea.

Either Obama is right and he can truly cut $500 billion of waste, fraud and abuse out the Medicare budget or Medicare dependent senior must die when $500 billion is cut from muscle and bone because there really wasn’t that much fat.

No one has identified exactly where this $500 billion of waste fraud and abuse are. Rather President Barack Hussein Obama has given an example or two where money might be wasted and estimated or projected the rest of the savings. What we need to know then is just how good Obama is at projecting things. Do we have an example of where he has made financially based projections? In fact we do. The Obama administration enacted an economic stimulus package. Obama said that the stimulus package would keep unemployment below 8%. Unemployment actually went up to 10%

Is there any more evidence on the government’s ability to estimate costs. Yes. Cash for Clunkers. There original estimate was that the program could be completed for $1 billion. After that estimate was quickly shown to be wrong, they three an additional $3 billion at the problem.

Government Track record

Obama has promised to run up trillion dollar deficits as long as he is president. Doesn’t that mean we are already out of money? Is he going to print the trillions of additional dollars and run up inflation or borrow them from China.

Well maybe our current government isn’t good at managing money, estimates or projections. Surely government did a bang up job of these tasks in the past:

In 1966 Medicare cost $3billion. The House Ways and Means committee projected that that the cost in 1990 would be $9 billion. The actual cost was $67 billion.

Different researchers have examined different aspect of Medicare costs but all of them peg the growth in to be at least 7 times higher than projected. Remember that the next time someone in government tells you how much Universal health care will cost in 10 years.

The government has over $50 trillion in unfunded liabilities before Universal Health Care comes in. Since we don’t know where all that money is coming from, where will money for health care on top of this come from?

To be entirely fair to government, health care is not the only place they have mismanaged costs, consider the list below. It was the US federal government lack of oversight and mismanagement of the first item in the list that bankrupted almost all the world economies.
1. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac
2. Amtrak
3. Senate Restaurant
4. Medicare and Medicaid cost containment and control
5. Paying for social security over the next 50 years
6. Presenting a balanced budget every year
7. Reducing the Deficit to zero
8. Reducing the National Debt to zero.
9. The post office

There are no economic reasons to give the government more control over health care given that it has financially botched everything it has touched. Government healthcare is a political move not an economic one.

If Obama is trying to trash the dollar, destroy capitalism, and reduce the United States to a third world nation, he needs to do health care reform. Those who don’t want those things to happen must oppose Commie Care and Marxist Medicine
