The month of May has presented us with a mixed bag of enquiries
and completed jobs.

Some of the tasks we have completed, ranging from garden
maintenance to property maintenance, have secured us
high recommendations from these customers which has already
turned into orders for jobs to be carried out for new customers.

Insideout is more than a Garden Service.
We can now carry out large landscaping projects with the
assistance of a very well established BALI registered firm
we have connections with who are based in the Central Belt.

Plus we are carrying out more and more Property Maintenance

Wall Pointing & Repairs. Wet and Dry Stone Wall Building Scottish Borders

We are receiving lots of enquiries to re-point building walls,
the main reason being - our rates are much less than a builder.
Plus we get on with the job efficiently and professionally.

Insideout are growing quickly after starting in November 08.
We pride ourselves will the array of skills we have to carry out
numerous tasks for domestic and commercial customers.

Wall pointing is very important to a building. If over the years
mortar has broken and our harsh british weather will be getting deep
into your brickwork, you will end up with a serious damp
problem. Similar to having blocked gutters with water seeping
through your brickwork over a period of time.

Insideout can also lay concrete floors with recently
laying 32 cube in a day !

If you own a property which is built using brick or stone,
whether a house, garage, shed, castle etc and there is
mortar missing from between the stone work, its time to

It's that time of year again when bogus workmen seem to target
the elderly touting for any array of work such as garden maintenance,
tarring driveways, repairing walls, roofs - you name it.

Radio Borders is highlighting that bogus workmen are in the
Borders area just now ( April )

Keith from InsideOut Garden & Grounds Maintenance strongly advices
that if a company knocks on your door seeking work, even if you do
require work to be done, say "no thanks." Unless you know
them personally of course.

Make sure you utilise a "local" company where the operator
will turn up at your premises in corporate clothing and their vehicle
livered and with a "landline" telephone number there-on.

InsideOut are well aware of how bogus workmen operate as Keith
worked for Lothian & Borders Police for 9 years as has seen
how distressing a situation can become by being conned
by these heartless people.

Gutter Cleaning and Repairs - Scottish Borders

Keeping gutters clean and unclogged by leaves and debris
can prevent serious water damage to your home as clogged gutters
and downspouts lead to dam-ups in the drain outlets with rainwater
filling up and then overflowing. This leads to gutters pulling loose
from their mountings while the water itself pooling for long periods
of time will rot wood gutters and rust metal ones. But more
dangerously, the over-flowing water runs down building walls
and saturates all materials, seeping inside and causing more
damage to windows, walls, doors, foundations, sidings –
and even flooding basements.

Checking Your Gutters

In general, gutters should be checked and cleaned twice a year,
in spring and autumn, although if your roof is directly beneath
many trees, you may need to do this more often.

The signs of a clogged gutter to watch out for are:

Mounds of leaves and debris visible and spilling over the gutter.
Gutters with black streaks down the sides
Gutters pulling away from their mountings
Splashes of soil on the building walls.
Deep holes in the soil directly beneath a downspout.
Rotting wood, especially in the corners, under a gutter by a downspout.

The alternative should you leave your gutters full of debris
over a prolonged time ( 6 months and over )
could cost you a very expensive damp proofing course aswell as
expensive building work should water seep through your brickwork.

It has been brought to our attention that we have had
email faliure for a period of time and have not
received any emails which may have been sent to us.

The technical problem has now been rectified and functioning
