Diet, here I come again!

As most of you already know, I am back from my wonderful vacation. For some reason a cruise always makes me put on weight. Wonder why? I blame it on all that great free food, especially the buffets. If you've never been on a cruise, then you just wouldn't believe how unreal it is with all that food at your finger tips. All I can say, is thank goodness I still have some phentermine left in my bottle. I am planning on starting my diet after this weekend. After all, the holidays are coming up and I don't want to add more weight to what I have already gained.

Looking in the Mirror

The last few days I looked in the mirror, I was beginning to notice these dark circles under my eyes. I'm not sure if it is from stress or age. I'm hoping for stress, but whatever the case may be, I am definitely going to be doing something about it soon. I can't be walking around in public with this under my eyes. It looks terrible. I am searching now for the best solutions. Wish me luck!

Ceramic Tiles

I love ceramic tiles in the kitchen. I use to have hardwood, but now that I have tiles, I have come to realize it is so much easier to keep my kitchen floor clean. It is also nice knowing that is any water spills on it, then I don't have to rush around trying to get it dried up quickly before it ruins the wood. I am so happy we chose to go this route with our floor. Now I can sit back and be happy with one more remodeling project.

Shopping for My Health

I know I sit at my desk way too many hours in the day, but I just don't have the time to go to the gym anymore and workout. I am considering purchasing some fitness equipment. I feel like it would be a great investment and help my health so much. I know I need exercise and this is about the only solution I know to get it. Now my only problem is figuring out which equipment is the best.

My Husband's Secretary

Sometimes I feel like a secretary to my husband. I honestly don't mind helping him out, especially when it's something important, but here lately he has been having me do things, such as ordering parts, that I have no clue what I am looking at. This morning he walked in my office and ask me if I would search around and order some clamps for him. Well, first of all, I had no clue what he was trying to clamp together. This would be important to me if I were needing such an item. This ordering process took me at least an hour because I didn't know what kind or how many clamps he needed. If he would have just took about 10 minutes out of his busy schedule then he could have ordered his own parts and saved us both tons of time. Okay, I'm over it now.

Working on a Budget

I have been working on our family budget for almost a week now. It's a little more difficult than I had thought. I'm trying to find ways to cut some corners and save some money, so we can pay off some of our debts. I am thinking about calling around to get an insurance quote to see if I can actually lower that one bill we get each month. I have heard from other friends of ours that they feel I pay way too much for insurance. I figure since I am trying to reduce our monthly expenses, I might as well find out if they know what they are talking about.

Taking Some Classes

My sister-in-law is thinking about taking some classes from an online university. I can't blame her, she is very smart, but just don't have the time in her day to actually drive to a campus and back home. She is a single mom and I know she wants to make it somewhere in life. I feel like if she gives Western Governors Online University a try, then she could make it. Now the only thing she will lack, is deciding what type of program she wants to enter. I suggested a B.A. in Early Childhood Education, but I think she is leaning more toward a B.S. in Accounting. Whatever she decides, I'm sure she will do well.

I Love Food Too Much

I know I have this problem of loving food too much. I'm not that much over weight, but I really have to watch what I eat. I am constantly trying to stay at my current weight, but sometimes it's just too hard. I feel like eating everything in the refrigerator. When times get like this, then I turn to my good old appetite suppressant. It does the trick and I have no worries. If you've never tried it then you should.

Why Is It Always Left Up To Me?

My husband works so much out of town, that sometimes I get overwhelmed by how much responsibility I have around the house. I don't blame him at all, I just want him to realize how much time it takes when one person takes care of everything at home. I pay the bills, feed the animals, so all the house work and still have to run a business. I know I shouldn't be complaining because there are so many people out of work, but I guess I just need to vent. One thing that got me to thinking is when he called me earlier and said, "don't forget to check on the central vacuum motor we need repaired." Silly huh? I know and I understand I need to do these things, but don't a woman get a break?

One Pill I'm Thankful For

My husband and I were discussing today about all the medications I have to take for my Rheumatoid arthritis. I told him if I was thankful for one kind of pill I have been taking, it would have to be my fat burner pills. I can honestly say that dropping those few pounds with those pills have helped my arthritis more than the pills I take for the disease itself. I know being over weight tends to be bad for your joints, so I had to do something. This is one pill I don't mind taking.

Looking at Franchises

My husband has always had in the back of his mind how he would love to buy a franchise. I know it's probably just a dream, but I kind of like the idea myself too. Today at sat here at the computer searching around for the top franchises out there today. If you've never checked that out, then you should. You might be surprised at what is out there. Not to mention, there is really some awesome deals.

My Daughter's Health Insurance

My daughter is no longer covered by my ex-husband's insurance policy so we had to start looking around for what would be the best insurance plan for her. I ended up with Blue Advantage and I am so thankful we chose it. It has been a lifesaver. My daughter has several different health issues and has to go to the doctor a little more than normal. Each time we have went, we were extremely pleased with this insurance.

HDTV Anyone?

Okay, who has HDTV? I know I couldn't live without it now that we have it. I have tried telling my friends how nice it is and they won't seem to listen. All except for Lisa, she listen to me and now she says the same thing about it. Her entire family loves it as much as we do. If you've never took the plunge, then you're definitely missing out.

Advice on Insurance

My husband's friend called last night to talk to my husband about life insurance. He new we had some and wanted to find out whether it was affordable life insurance or not. My husband told him it was very reasonable and he wouldn't drop the policy for nothing. I was happy to hear that because even though I wouldn't want anything to happen to my husband, I just don't know what I would do if he didn't have the insurance. Life is a struggle already, but without some sort of help when you lose one income, then your finances could be in a lot of trouble. I was happy to hear his friend is also considering it. I just hope he makes the right decision.

Taking a Mini Trip

My husband was just informed he has to go to Orlando for a couple of conferences with work. I really would like to go with him, but the only way I will be able to is if I catch up on some of my work. This week is going to be tough, but I know I can do it. Then about the middle of the week, I will look at my progress. If it looks as if I am going to get to tag along, then I will be looking into cheap hotels Orlando area. What better trip could you ask for, right?

My Walls Are Empty

My walls seem so empty now in my living room since I have rearranged my furniture. I have been trying to think what to put on them and can't come up with many different ideas. A friend of mine had a really good suggestion for one spot. She said I should look at buying some candle sconces. I love that idea and would love to hear from some others on different ideas. I have paintings and such, but would like a little something different. Got any ideas?

Looking for a Filter

I have come to realize air filters are more complicated to find that what I knew. I have to replace ours and I have no clue if I am ordering the right one or not. I told my husband he needs to double check what I am ordering and for some reason he has more confidence in me than I have in myself. I guess I'll go ahead and place my order and if it doesn't work, then I'll let him deal with it.

Everyone Loves Diamonds

I don't know anyone who don't like diamonds. I know I sure do. A friend of mine was talking to me about certified diamonds just the other day and it has made me want some new jewelry. I am thinking already about my Christmas list. I know this year is going to be a little tougher, but can't I wish? Maybe if I skip getting a gift this year, then I can ask for something bigger next year or maybe even for my birthday. Like diamonds! Don't that sound like a plan?

My Morning Shower

This morning while taking a shower, I realized we are in desperate need of a new shower faucet. It has got to the point that ours barely works anymore. I have told my husband time and time again, but he keeps procrastinating. He is out of town this weekend, so I am thinking of getting one myself and putting it in. I can't wait to see what he says when he returns and takes his next shower.

New Kitchen Floors

My husband finally finished with the kitchen floor and I am so happy. It has had my entire house in an unorganized disaster, but after seeing the new porcelain tile on the floor, it made it all worth it. I love it and if you have never really seen a room with this type of tile, then your missing out. I can't imagine how much easier it is going to be to keep my kitchen clean now.

Kitchen Remodeling

My husband has been helping one of his best friends remodel their kitchen. It has really been a difficult task since they want some unusual items in there. This morning he was looking to see what kind of deals he could find on copper kitchen sinks. I can't imagine having a copper sink and didn't realize I would like them so much until I started helping him search for deals. They are extremely pretty. Maybe I'll consider one myself after seeing theirs installed.

My Friends Restaurant

I have been helping a friend of mine get ready to open her new restaurant. This is not only going to be exciting for her, but for me as well. I feel almost like I have a stake in this restaurant since I have helped her get it up and running.

This morning I come up with a cool idea. Since she is going to have daily specials, then she needs to post them in some way. I noticed you can buy a Dry Erase Calendar that would be perfect for this type of thing. A Dry Erase Calendar would not only be the economical choice for what she needs to do, but it would also give a really unique appearance. It will also allow customers to see what would be on the menu for the next days special, which I think is an excellent idea for bringing customers back in for future visits.

My Cousin is Getting Married

I am so excited for my cousin, he is finally getting married. This is something that he and his girlfriend have been putting off for quite some time now. The main reason they have been waiting is because of the difficulty in finding a place to live. She didn't want to live in an apartment since she has lived in one for the past ten years. They have decided to look into purchasing a manufactured home, which I think is an excellent idea. I wish them both the best of luck!

My Own Gym

I know this sounds like I am trying to just find a way to buy some exercise equipment, but I honestly think I would do so much better with my exercising if I had my own home gym. I have two different friends who have their own personal home gyms. I ask them if the do work out more than if they had to actually drive to the gym. Both said they work out twice as much and I believe them from looking at how fit and trim their body has gotten over the past few months. This is definitely something I am going to be looking into too.

Still Trying to Decide

My husband and I are still trying to decide on a Myrtle Beach Hotel. We want to take a little vacation and we truly love this area. Oceanfront Myrtle Beach Hotels are one of our favorite places to stay. It is so family oriented and there are tons of things to do in this area.

Today, we have made it our mission to look through about three different Oceanfront Myrtle Beach Hotel places and pick one. If we don't get to work on this then we will end up putting it off and not being able to go while it is still warm weather. It just seems like every year it gets harder and harder to work around our work schedule and plan a vacation. Last night, I informed my husband that if I have too, then I will just take some work with me to do while I am there. It beats not getting to go at all, right?
