This unbelievably sturdy device works so well that it's carried by the Presidential Security Group (PSG) of the Philippines President.

Unlike other methods of self-defense the Unbreakable Walking-Stick Umbrella is completely legal to carry everywhere and contains no special parts. Plus, you're not going to attract lots of attention with an umbrella, but you'll know the power this bad boy wields. Using this device is as easy as it comes. Simply take a good whack at a criminal who is attacking you and they'll be in the hospital for days.

As you can probably tell from the name of the device you can also use the umbrella as a cane or walking stick for those nights when you're too drunk to carry your own weight. The Unbreakable Walking-Stick Umbrella is available for $180 through real-self-defense.com, which is quite a deal considering how prone to breakage most umbrellas are. Even if you don't ever use the device as a weapon you'll still have the benefit of an umbrella that won't break during a bad storm.

Check out this video for a demonstration of just what these unique apparatus can do:

<!--

But what should have been a happy and joyous day for iPhone fans, ended up being an exercise in frustration for many.

After waiting in line outside of Apple Stores for hours (or even days), some consumers then spent up to 7 hours inside because of "network problems" that slowed or even halted the activation of new iPhones.

The iPhone 3G line outside the Manhattan Apple Store on 14th Street at 12:52PM.
Estimated wait time was ~4 hours.

Apparently Apple's authentication servers weren't prepared to handle the amount of global network traffic from new iPhone 3G activations. Network slowdowns were first reported after stores opened in Europe. The network then came to a halt after US East Coast stores opened. By the time American West Coast stores had started selling iPhones, Apple's servers just couldn't take it anymore and started crashing. It was AT&T's insistence that all phones get activated in the store that caused the problem. During last year's iPhone 1.0 launch Apple had everyone activate their own phone at home through iTunes.

<!--

Well, we've got a way for you to turn those pesky ads into gorgeous works of art. Add-Art, a free new plugin for Mozilla's Firefox web browser replaces advertising on websites with curated art images. How cool is that?

Every two weeks the makers of Add-Art update the art shown with new images featuring contemporary artists and curators. For instance, this week's images are "Black Monochrome Paintings Cropped and Optimized For The Web" hand selected by Charles Broskoski. Among the artists featured in Broskoski's collection are paintings from modern masters like Rauchenberg, Kelly, Malevich, Marden, Reinhardt, and Rothko. Add-Art is partially supported by the New Museum/Rhizome in New York City and provides small stipends for artists and curators for their participation.

This unique plugin was developed by Steve Lambert, an artist who heads up the Anti Advertising Agency. Those of us who already use AdBlockPlus to defeat online advertising will be happy to know that Add-Art gets along famously with that plugin. While Add-Art doesn't currently work with the just-released Firefox 3.0 a new compatible version should be available within a week or two. To say goodbye to annoying banners forever simply head over to Add-Art's website and install this incredible new plugin.

The PimpWiz.com Bottom Line: Add-Art replaces online advertising with fine works of art.
<!--

That's right, the three day full-ship charter that people are still talking about is back. The cruise departs Los Angeles on September 15th and heads to Mexican Riviera for three action-packed days and nights aboard the Carnival Paradise.

There are so many incredible activities planned that we'll have a hard time listing them, but let's start with some key details. Only 500 staterooms will be available for gentlemen, while 600 of the staterooms will be filled with Kandy Girls. Just in case you make the mistake of wearing something that doesn't feature gold cursive letters or hideous fake tattoo designs there will be an Ed Hardy Boutique by Christian Audigier steps away from the club. The Buzzball is a work in progress – in what looks like an oversized, tricked out hamster ball, you can control the direction of a giant, motorized pod all while sitting inside it and waiting for it to take you in whatever direction it chooses.

According to the manufacturers, the pilot’s body will remain upright in the pod when it starts moving, but will eventually rotate in any other direction the ball starts to move. The pilot can control the direction of the ball using left and right control triggers and, once the ball picks up speed, both the ball and the pilot go from making partial barrel rolls to complete rotations.

No word yet on when it will be available and for how much, but you can enter your email address on the site and receive product updates. And we’re hoping it’s at least air-conditioned, because being stuck inside a giant, rotating plastic ball on a hot day seems like it would make for a sloppy situation.
<!--

The new feature's goal is to help users discover content from like-minded individuals amid the clutter of the 16k+ stories submitted to Digg.com each day.

You know how when you are browsing Amazon.com and the site suggests related products based on what you are viewing and what you've already purchased? This new Digg feature works kind of the same way. It analyzes your previous "diggs," or stories you've voted for, then lets you know what other users with similar tastes have recommended.

If you want to know more, Digg execs Kevin Rose and Anton Kast go into detail about how it works on the Digg blog.

Rose will also probably explain the new feature during his next Diggnation podcast.

methodshop
<!--

The Grotto WineBar is both a wine preserver and dispenser that keeps four bottles of your favorite vino fresh for about two months after opening, and cools as low as 45 degrees. You can even dispense it to three glass depths – taste, half, and full glass. Everything is also digitally controlled by LCD screens, so with the touch of a button, you can impress your date and snobby guests by programming the variety, vintage, temperature, and glass amount needed for the perfect glass of wine.

If you’re an avid collector of wine, you can store extra bottles with as many additional WineBar dispenser units as you want. The best thing is, it fits into most standard 24” cabinets, so feeling like a baller doesn’t have to also take up a ton of space – especially if you’re balling in a studio apartment.

Grotto WineBar, $5000 for four-bottle set
<!--

Wolf’s Lair, a walled and gated castle estate whose property stretches over 3 miles, is up for sale.

The castle was built in the 1920s by late real estate developer L. Milton Wolf and is a 5.485-square-foot property containing eight bedrooms and six bathrooms. Whereas many mansions have the tricked-out home theater system that’s big in today’s home décor, Wolf’s Lair includes a black-bottomed, heart-shaped pool, pool house, cabana, and 1920s speakeasy, in case your friends get tired of getting drunk on your couch and are up for a change.

Wolf’s Lair is notable among California’s elite due to its developer’s old school industry status – Wolf is one of three artists responsible for creating the development atop which the iconic “HOLLYWOOD” sign still stands today. Got a few mil lying around? It’s in a pretty sweet spot that overlooks much of Los Angeles and Lake Hollywood, which makes for a pretty impressive nightcap selling point.
<!--

Have you heard of Loopt yet?

Loopt is a mobile phone application that enables users to <s>spy on</s> see the location of their friends on an interactive map (see image below). The application also allows you to message friends in your general area and setup automatic alerts to notify you when friends are nearby.

In the last few months, Loopt has published several BlackBerry versions of its software for all major American cellphone carriers including T-Mobile, AT&T, Alltel and Sprint. Loopt also demonstrated an Alpha version of their software for the 3G iPhone at the 2008 World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC). You can sign up to be notified when the full iPhone version of Loopt is released here.

If you have a Jailbroken iPhone, then the function and features of Loopt might sound similar to Twinkle. Twinkle is a native Twitter client for the iPhone that pairs your GPS location with your Twitter posts. Twinkle also gives you the ability to add images to your Twitter Tweets.

But whether or not you use Loopt, Twinkle or Twitter.. it's not any fun unless all your friends are also using the service.

methodshop
<!--

However, fitness equipment mega-company Life Fitness has done something about that by developing a couch that actually converts to a home gym in a matter of minutes. The Otto-Bench is a combination of a multi-adjustable bench, bench press, and free weight storage space that, once converted and decorated with a couple pillows, looks just like a regular leather living room couch.

Designer Gabriel Prero is the hand behind the Otto-Bench, the winner of a Life Fitness competition challenging independent designers to come up with the perfect urban fitness machine. Prero’s Otto-Bench is actually a pretty genius invention, especially if you’ve got a tiny place or don’t have the spare bucks for a monthly gym membership. Running outside is free, but getting a quality lift session in isn’t always as easy. Bachelors everywhere will be clamoring for this soon enough.

A PimpWiz Exclusive
<!--

One really hit it off when they started playing and promoting parties together, and realized that they offered much more as a team than individually. In 2004 the Canadian hockey fans decided on the name Team Canada for their DJ crew. Since coming together they've been securing residencies in clubs around the world with their two-pronged attack. Grandtheft's producing skills can't be matched, while D.R. One is one of the most well respected battle DJs from Canada.

Whenever you bring up the name Team Canada to clubgoers who have seen the boys in action, you're likely to hear the word energy in response. These guys bring an incredible amount of energy to any party they play, whether it's a gig for 100 in their hometown of Montreal or an appearance in front of 10,000 people opening up for the Black Eyed Peas. You can't beat the wide-ranging record collection of Team Canada or the live remixes they throw down on a nightly basis.

The A-List gigs have been steady since Team Canada signed with DJ AM's management team last fall. In fact, Team Canada recently played at Paris Hilton's Birthday Party at Pure in Las Vegas. When they aren't gigging at the world's most famous venues, you can probably find them at their new club in Montreal, The Blue Dog Hotel.

Not content with their own success the boys recently branched out into artist management. They've recruited four of Canada's top club DJs (Jr. Flo from Toronto, Illo from Ottawa, Calgary's Pump and Vancouver's Hedspin) to form The Eh! Team. For more information on Team Canada and The Eh! Team be sure to check out their website.

The PimpWiz.com Bottom Line: We expect big things in 2008 from the DJ team of Grandtheft and D.R. One, aka Team Canada

Shout out to Jonny White for the tip ;-)
<!--

Now, that's not because he has a new hit movie, it's because of who he brought with him to these events. We're talking about the Die-Hard star's girlfriend, a stunning 29-year-old model from Malta named Emma Heming. Thanks to Emma's gorgeous figure, lengthy modeling resume and A-List boyfriend we're naming her the June Minx of the Month.

Heming was born in Malta, but spent her formative years shuttling between California and London, where she always yearned for the spotlight. Emma got her big break just after her 18th Birthday, when she was offered her first underwear modeling job. It didn't take her long to become one of the most successful underwear models in the world.

While Emma has modeled for such well-known labels as Gap, Garnier and La Senza, her longest, and most lucrative deal, came from Victoria's Secret. And you can't blame the lingerie giants for finding Heming so irresistible. She's a dark-skinned beauty with silky curves to accompany her legs that just don't stop. It's no wonder she's attracted attention from the likes of John Stamos, Brent Bolthouse and Sean Combs before beginning her relationship with Bruce Willis.

Lately Emma Heming has been working on her acting chops. She's already appeared on the HBO Series Entourage and with Bruce Willis in 2007's Perfect Stranger, and she has a few more roles on the horizon. We expect to see plenty more of Emma over the next few years, as she continues to turn heads thanks to her extraordinary beauty and ambition.

The PimpWiz.com Bottom Line: Gorgeous Actress/Model Emma Heming takes the June Minx of the Month title
<!--

It’s probably also safe to say that anywhere you would hide your things is where a thousand other people in your area would do the same. Better yet, how good are you at losing your valuables? Many can relate to the drama of hiding all of your most treasured things in a safe, all to eventually lose the damn key.

Someone came up with the genius idea of hiding your stuff in a fake air vent – it’s essentially the last place any robber would look, especially if they were ganking your stash under time constraints. It’s pretty simple to install; you cut out a section of drywall and stick the compartment in it. To the outside world, it looks like just another air vent. It runs for about $260 bucks, plus a little extra if you don’t trust your carpentry skills and hire someone to install it for you. It’s okay, we won’t tell.
<!--

In order to meet your skeptical mate halfway, VisionArt has developed VisionArt Audio Solutions by Triad Speakers, which basically hides your television and speakers behind a fake painting.

When the TV is turned on, the painting retracts and the screen and speakers are revealed, going from tea party to Super Bowl party in less than a minute. The company also allows you to customize your order, adding things like a subwoofer or extra speakers to satisfy your couch potato needs. Now that’s compromise. .
<!--

In fact, Vietnam was identified as one of 53 “hot-spot” tourist destinations in 2008 by the New York Times, with golf cited as a main attraction for international visitors. One of the biggest issues in the country is the lack of five-star resorts, but that's about to change with the opening of the first phase of the Ho Tram Strip resort/casino in 2010.

The Vietnamese government awarded a highly coveted investment certificate to Canada's Asian Coast Development Ltd. (ACDL) that allows for the construction of the formerly war-torn nation's largest tourism venture. The Ho Tram Strip will eventually be a 9,000-room luxury resort hotel that should rival the finest casinos on the Las Vegas Strip, thanks to the help of designers the Steelman Partners - one of Sin City’s premier architectural firms.

The first phase of the project, which includes a five-star hotel resort with 1,100 rooms, a golf course designed by legendary golfer Greg Norman and Vietnam’s first Las Vegas-style casino, is scheduled to open in late 2010. Next up will be Phase 2, which includes a second luxury resort with 1,300 rooms, a casino as well as ten restaurants and nightclubs. The second phase is scheduled to open in the spring of 2011. Within 10 years the Ho Tram Strip resort will be fully realized.

Now, you're probably thinking "why would I go to Vietnam for vacation?" The answer lies in the gorgeous white-sand beaches and tropical climate, as well as a slew of attractions that have opened in the hopes of attracting Westerners. Upon completion, the Ho Tram Strip will include five resorts and an international conference center. Guests will be provided with recreational options such as luxury spas, state-of-the-art performance facilities, upscale retail stores and a large selection of gourmet restaurants offering both local and international cuisine. Sounds good to us!
<!--

Billionaire Broadcom co-founder Henry T. Nicholas III pushed his luck to the point of no return when he was indicted on June 5 for being nothing short of a giant scumbag, the likes of which we haven’t seen in a fairly young, wealthy dude since that scandal with the Max Factor heir.

Nicholas, 48 and worth about $2 billion, was not only picked up for trafficking in coke, Ecstasy, and meth, but he also allegedly roofied business associates and employees, pulled Spitzers, and maintained a number of drug dens, including one below his Los Angeles home. (Someone clearly didn’t follow Biggie’s fifth rule of the Ten Crack Commandments: “Never sell no crack where you rest at.”).

He did try paying his way out, though, but the feds weren’t having it. When he was charged with securities fraud earlier on, Nicholas allegedly “used threats of physical violence and death and payments of money to attempt to conceal his unlawful conduct,” according to his indictment noted on thesmokinggun.com. It appears as though one of his employees found out about his shady activities and agreed on a $1 million settlement with Nicholas and his crew to keep his mouth shut (but if you ask me, he probably could have gotten more out of the deal). Unfortunately, Nicholas’ cockiness eventually got ahead of him and he stopped being stealthy about his drug pushing, lamely concealing his packaging with clients and dealing/smoking tons of pot on private plane flights, then eventually getting picked up.

Like Steven Seagal said..."No one is above the law"!

A PimpWiz Exclusive
<!--

How could you not love one of the fastest, most powerful and alarmingly expensive cars ever made? This mindblowing automobile takes after its namesake, the legendary Bugatti from the '20s and '30s.

The folks at Volkswagon spent four grueling years working out every single detail on the car, before starting production on the Bugatti Veyron. Bugatti planned to build 300 Veyrons, and the March 2008 issue of Winding Road reports that 220 of the 300 cars to be produced have been sold and 132 have been delivered to customers. Not bad for a car that retails for approximately $1.7 million.

What's so special about the Bugatti Veyron 16.4? Let's start with the gorgeous design of the vehicle. The car features futuristic lines, and the interior is beautifully designed with ergonomically laid-out controls. You also can't top the power of this beast. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 can go from 0-62 mph in just 2.5 seconds, and can reach speeds of 200mph within 24 seconds. This is all thanks to one of the most powerful engines in the industry.

You'd think a car as powerful as the Veyron couldn't be safe, but you'd be wrong. All of the car's safety systems have been designed to sustain its unbelievable performance, acceleration and speed. Of course all this speed, safety and function requires a ridiculous amount of gas; as the Veyron uses more fuel than any other production car. For much more on the 2006 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 check out the stats over at RSSportscars.

The PimpWiz.com Bottom Line: You can't find a more powerful car than the 2006 Bugatti Veyron 16.4.
<!--
