Jason Taylor, Ex-Miami Dolphin...Good Bye

Mr. Jason taylor...you tackled...you cheered...you defended...you represented - you were an excellent Miami Dolphin. You are no longer with us but I want you to know I appreciate the play you unleashed every sunday and monday that you played, we Miami Dolphins will miss your exciting defensive play, and defensive leadership...Jason Taylor, I for one am already missing you - you certainly deserve the best any team can give you.

Previously, I had heard that Mr Bill Parcells(60 Minutes, interviews, etc...), that he “ is a controller”, “you can’t step on the kings toes”...but these type of comments could be the work of haters, he did make some enemies during his allustrious career, right? But now I’m thinking that maybe Mr, Parcells is a bit too bossy, maybe he should look alittle into the “control factor” he has with his players. Could Mr. Bill Parcells be too egotistical? I’m afraid he is the reason my Jason Taylor, and Zach Thomas are no longer Miami Dolphins. Man...this is tearing me apart. Bill Parcells I hope you know what you doing...i’m with you, you are a good coach but this move is scaring the mess out of me...

OK, yes, business is business but how could he release or offend Jason Taylor , or Jack Thomas, two of the most prolific tacklers and sackers in the NFL, how could they become meniacle all of a sudden?....I hear their trade value was the prime reason, but I suspect other things too...Jason Taylor and his partner, Zach Thomas loved their team - The Miami Dolphins.

Well, looks like I won’t get to revenge upon those NY Jets with Jason Taylor at the helm, or enjoy seeing him smile when the Miami Dolphins become an AFC championship team. Oh well, life goes on, good luck Jason Taylor.

One last thing, NY Jets, you better start running...we gonna get you still...run...run...run....

This I didn’t know...I don’t keep up with beauty pageants, the winner of the Miss USA Pageant was a black contestant, Miss Crystle Stewart, who won the Miss USA title in 2008, well...well...well...this was certainly a big surprise to me...given the Vanessa Williams debacle of years gone by. For me, and the world to see another negro get any big beauty pageant crown was rather shocking - I’m still shocked, I wouldn’t have believe it...

And man...is this 2008 Miss USA not the boom?...this “dime” is surely a beauty, she representing for real...wow...do it, baby. Again, her name is Crystle Stewart, she is from Texas and what a wonderful sight...when I saw her I nearly fell off my couch, she's that striking...a real pretty woman, indeed. And she is a black woman...that means alot...alot... Job well done, Crystle Stewart, our 2008 Miss USA.

Self-Improvement, The Real Reason People Go On Vacation

People say they want a vacation; that they need a vacation to rest their nerves. They say a vacation or trip will give them a break from the hussle and bussle of their day-to-day lives, esp. their work lives. But they never really get to the issues of why they need a break from work. The reasons they say don’t get to the core of the vacation dilemma - the why of the vacation equation - why they feel they need this detour from regular life.

I think I know the true reason for vacations, people want a vacation to install a new way of living and to bring about another way of living an thinking, even if just for a few days or weeks - it’s for there self-improvement. Vacations give us a chance to radically transform the manner in which we see and go about living in this busy and sometimes hustle world. Self-improvement and personal development are the real undercurrents of this request for break in our usual routine. Sure, we are not usually aware of this hidden aim and mistakenly refer to it as “I need a break from work”, “I’m going to the islands to relax”, or “I just need to get away for a while”...

The anthems above state our thoughts to a degree, but they don’t get to the root of the problem - why we think an stoppage, a vacation, is necessary? Why this need for relaxation. We secretly desire a new way of thinking, a new way of feeling, a new way of acting - we want self-improvement in our lives - our vacations are for personal development and self-improvement. We take a trip to do more than just kick-back in the sun, no, we attempt to better our minds and bodies by this endeaver. We are really seeking to build up or inner resolve, our mental and physical, even spiritual muscles - not a relaxation. The when we return to day-to-day, usual stuff, we will be recharged, more capable of dealing with lives issues. This, my friend, is the true reason for our desire for a vacation...think on this...

On your next hiatus remember this post, try to see your real desires in wanting that trip to the Bahamas...it’s not really the Bahamas you are seeking. What you seek is a more enjoyable existence, a way to implement self-improvement. So, get to the true reason and make your next vacation all it can be.

Venus Williams was the winner of this Wimbledon battleroyal but Serena ain’t too upset, Venus is her older sis, so this was really just a family gathering with mom and pop in the stands.

These two tennis world titans are simply undefeatable players, Serena Williams and Venus Williams being so talented they are left playing against each other. These women are special and their from my state: FLORIDA. Keep Up the good work, gurls.

Ice Cube Replaces Vin Diesel In "XXX: State Of The Union"

Ah...man...I’m still recovering, Ice Cube was ‘off the chain' in this movie, "XXX: State Of The Union", this movie simply had everything an action movie should have - suspense, heroes, villains, visuals, and of course action. This "XXX: State Of The Union" was so packed with energy, I didn’t get up to go to the frig until each commercial break. It was simply a great film, well put together, Arnold S must agree. "XXX: State Of The Union" is a masterpiece.

This motion picture was a continuous, nonstop action-packed thriller, showing how good a movie can be. While viewing this film, I felt my blood boiling witrh anticipation of the next scene, the next eye, jaw dropping piece of special effects, the next Ice Cube sequence, this movie kept me on the edge of my seat. The only thing missing was that popcorn and that “theatre feel”, you know that large space, the crowd, but I still was totally blown away. Thank you Ice Cube for delivering an Oscar deserving performance.

Check this: Ice Cube wasn’t even supposed to be in this movie, he was the replacement for Vin Diesel. But I assure you Vin Diesel isn’t missed in this movie, Ice Cube held his own in this cinematic triumph. Ice Cube showed all his skills, I’ll so proud of him, he should get more action roles from this fine performance. Cube, you were “straight out of Compton” on this one. Great, great job on this one, I enjoyed every moment.

Keeping My Head In This Music Business

I’m sensing that my quiet life is about to take a violent turn, that what was before will quickly fade away...that attention levels are about to explode. Will I remain the same youngman I am today, or will I become a reclusive music superstar like Micheal Jackson(my mentor)?

Speaking of Micheal Jackson, what is my homie up to? All them skills, all that GAME he got(remember the white glove?)...what the heck is he doing these days? Oh, I know about the Las Vegas situation, or rumor but what about returning to the Billboard charts, his old home? Okak Micheal Jackson...get to it, man.

Back to me...well, I been talking about the fishbowl nature or voyeurism of the show business world - people follow us, photograph us, write and read about us - all for a profit. I hate this part of my profession - the Paparazzi - being my nemesis. These guys stop at nothing to make an entertainer’s life a living hell...they won’t run, or ruin my life, I refuse to let them do that.

Barack Obama did it , he won the delegate race, and by doing that won the Democratic nomination. Barack took everything Senator Hillary Clinton and team threw at him, and he took it like a man, when I thought here we go again...bye...bye Mr. Obama...he survived and continued on... This man his a strength, a silent powerful strength, he is showing America what personal development can do, what faith in oneself can accomplish. Mr. Barack Obama doesn’t seem to understand failure, he doesn’t seem to hear the nay-sayers, he just goes forth, focused and determined. That my friends, is the result of a personal development and self-growth program that Obama has obviously been using through this entire campaign to reach the White House. We heard and hear personal development mentality in his speeches, in the way he carries himself. Barack Obama is a man full of will.

The issues with his finances, the questions about his religion, and that situation about his pastor - all successfully dealt with - show the character of a strong-willed man - a man named Barack Obama. This man has accomplished something few americans ever thought would ever happen: a black man winning the Democratic presidential nomination or any other seat close to the presidency. But Obama shocked us all by winning the Democratic presidential nomination. His personal development regimen works, and works really good.

Positive thinking, self-help, bravery, self-improvement, theses quality and more are exemplified by Barack Obama in this historic race to become the next president of these United States of America. Ready For The Paparazzi, Fans And Fame

It took me more than a year to complete this album but I did it, and now my life is going to change drastically. Time to get ready for the onslaught of attention and admirers that success in this business attracts. I’m not looking forward to the prying eyes of the paparazzi, they are so intrusive but the public created the paparazzi. The public demands info on celebrities and the famous, the paparazzi is only suppling what the public wants. Still I kinda hate them. well now they will be aiming and following me, it comes with the entertainment territory and I accept it totally. Still I hate it, though.

Prediction: my album will change the music industry, it will be #1 on the billboard charts, it will make me and instant millionaire - this and more will my debut album do. I truly believe that this album is going to do thses things, and in so doing change my quiet live forever. But I’m not complaining, I have chosen to persue show business as a career, no one pushed me into it, I objectively sought to follow this path. I have no regrets, no complain. I am a Rock-N-Roller for life.

What remains to be seen now is the fillment of the above predictions... they as more than accomplishable given my talent and deep understanding of the music business. I know how to make hit music and how to entertain, folks get ready for a wonderful ride, get ready to experience "GLENDELL".

Using Black & White In Artwork And Calligraphy

Black and white artwork is a whole subject onto itself, I simply love it, black and white are the true extreme colors, and they call for strong imagery and subject matter for them to unvail their true power. Art that is black and white seems to call for something from its viewer - calling for our input to add to its raw, blunt character. Black and white artwork impresses our retinas in such a direct way, our consciusness, our emotions...and our memories awaken in the most profound manner when we see these strikingly contrast colors.

There is one well known effect of using black and white in artwork, most of us know of this quality from its presence in photography. This effect is age, the past, black and white has always been used to relay the impression of the past - an earlier time. Most of this effect comes from the time when photography was only available in black and white, a fact most of us are aware of. Observe this effect in the following images:

Nostalgia, memories, the past, are definite qualities exuded by the color combination of black and white...the pictures above immediately sent you back to the past, to memories you haven’t recalled in quite some time. This is a secret that Madison Avenue has always use in its efforts to sentd our minds into the past - a secret it has used very successfully. But this effect has been known and used by many others as well. The contrasting elements of the two colors just catches the attention; we just can defend our mind from their definity; their directness, no other colors influence us so dramaticly.

There is another profound area where we see black and white reining supreme; it has been used for this purpose since ancient times - begining with the very creation of paper - it’s called “writing” - the most popular form of visual communication. Writing is also used as an art form - lettering - lettering is used constantly in advertising, design and other methods using visual media. But there is also another distingished means of utilizing print or the written word, its called “calligraphy”, calligraphy is a decorative form of writing, a complex style of writing that takes time and practice - not to mention artistic talent to master. And black ink on white paper is the tradition way of producing this so revered form of printing the human language. The use of black and white is the standard; gives this style of writing and art form its intense effect on the eyes; gives it its beauty. Below are examples of the art of calligraphy:

Being the most contrasting colors of all, black and white can present qualities that no other colors can. They can steer us into a loftier mind state, a delightful state of mind through use of lines, curves, etc., or by using the same throw ourselves into a dull, horrific mental state. Other colors can do the same thing but never in so striking a manner as these two fundamental colors.

To experience the effects of black and white, as with all colors, is to use them often - only in this way will the artist feel and know a chosen color. Start experimenting with black and white artwork, I’m sure you’ll be amazed by the results.

Folks I’m MAD...what the HELL is this new Miami Dolphins organization doing? Why is my homie, Jason Taylor upset? What is Bill Parcells and the new head coach, Tony Sparano, doing to Jason Taylor? They must be saying or doing some rather brutal things for this loyal and All Star, Pro Bowl Defensive player to not want to participate with his beloved Miami Dolphin teammates. Jason Taylor is a true gentleman and has always been 100% with the Miami Dolphins - a true warrior. Something ain't right folks.

Now, I almost lost it when they relaesed Zach Thomas, another true Dolphin...now there after Taylor. I’m telling you, this mess happens every year with this troubled team and I am so tried of it. I do trust Bill Parcells, he’s a proven winner, I feel he is needed here, but what’s going on? Could Bill Parcells be antagonizing, harassing my buddie, Jason(Superman) Taylor? Well, that’s what’s floating around in my Miami Dolphin mind, somebody saying something or somebody doing something to this star player and I don’t think it’s fair - not fair at all. The true will get out somehow, I just hope Jason isn’t destroyed by how he’s being treated. These are my thoughts, the thoughts of a real Miami Dolphins supporter and real fan of Jason Taylor. Jason, if you leave, know that all true Miami Dolphins will sorely miss you.

Using Cool Personal Development Slogans

I’ve been thinking about personal development and how it can really improve a person's spiritual, mental and physical being. How It can take the draining life you now have, and transform it into a lovely garden of inspiration that gives others something to live for and hope for. All the self-help gurus agree on this issue.

In the world of personal development and self-help you find statements, slogans, affirmations and mottos that are the laws attempt to live by. These slogans can be powerful catalyst for changing the way we see the ourselves and the outside world. Heres some of my personal favorites:

1. “Think Positively”
2. “You Have to Empty Your Mind of Negative Thoughts to Put Positive Thoughts In”
3. “Pick Yourself Up By the Bootstraps”
4. “Change Your Mind, Change Your Life”
5. “Set Some Goals”

As I said above, personal development hinges on slogans and affirmations - these are the staples that hold it together, without them no self-help program will succeed - the personal development plan seeks to lead us down a path to fulfillment of these very statements. These mottos and slogans are the goal, they describe the results hoped for, the heaven we want so badly to enter - they represent the promise - the promise of a better life. But that where most of us run into a dead-end. We find out that words in themselves carry little weight and that being the case - we fall far short of our goal of a more fulfilling existence.

Personal development is not just a verbal exercise, it demands honesty, alertness and most of all - willpower. Without willpower you are doomed to failure, no self-help course of action will succeed where there is little or no willpower on the part of its participants. This is the major stumbling block, and the reason for no positive change in the lives of most people who try to implement a personal development regime. They just can’t find the steadfastness needed to complete the plan and fall short of the so wished for goal.

So know that the new-agers and the self-help, personal development gurus will throw out many a slogan but you must be the one to nuture the affirmation into a solid and living reality. You are the one who will have to battle with your negative blocks and ways of doing things. All responsibility for your life always relies on you, no one can change you but you, they can help you but all real change must come from your own initiative.

US Gas Is Sky High - Wish I Owned An Oil Company

They are raking it in, the oil sheiks of the Middle East, our own beloved American oil companies - Shell, Texaco, Exxon, Mobil, Chevron, Amaco and the rest. The oil is pumping and the already swollen pockets are getting bigger and bigger. Money, money, money for all...except us, the petroleum-buying public, most of us are suffering, we can’t believe the prices. It’s as if we have become pawns in a terrifying oil/energy game. Will Texaco, Exxon, Chevron, Amaco save us - please, their part of the problem - these American oil giants are in bed with their eastern oil buddies - and man, aren’t we getting the shaft. Pandora’s box has opened and folks we are in trouble, the oilmen have gone wild and all control has been lost.

Our economy is being beat-down by the shenanigans being pulled by the worlds oil producers; don’t look for oil prices to ever return to previous levels; wave the past oil prices bye-bye. The US economy is tied to the Middle Eastern oil fields - first we lost soldiers, now we’re losing our economy. Their some happy Americans though: the Us oil companies and their shareholders. But too bad - that leaves most of us out - so we continue to suffer these offending energy prices. I think there is a conspiracy about; I see no other reason for these unusually high gas prices, something is going on and it’s going on within the top levels of the United States Government. Something just ain’t right, peeps.

It’s not going to matter who gets the presidency if this oil issue isn’t fixed, for the economy will continue to take a dive. “Elementary Watson”, you need not be a rocket scientist to figure this one out. What can we do? Not much really, unless we get political - you know - band together, march on Capital Hill - that’s about all we can do. We are going to have to change some laws and that requires work, lots of work.

The Oil sheiks and the oil companies are in heaven these days, they aren’t thinking about us poor little sheep, somehow we must find the strength to carry-on. These companies are not going to change so we must change, we need to learn conservation and be more shrewd iin our economic lives. This will help tremendously - sticking to a positive plan of action. All hope is not lost for our economy, things can get better but right now, implement a plan of positve action and make sure to follow it. I’ll be busy doing the same.

Stop Hating On Photoshop - It's Just Computer Software

I been playing around with Photoshop, yes...we artists may as well grab this new artist-assistant technology because everyone's using it or demanding it. Well, it does have its advantages, an artist can complete a whole art campaign in an unbelievable amount of time. He or she can save tremendously in art supplies and such, computer art and software has its benefits. Now, I know certain areas of art production remains relatively untouched by the modern state of technology, but this is only expected since the traditional methods give artwork the true human feel that all real art exudes. The pencil, brush, paint, paper, and canvas will never, never be replaced - fine art belongs to man totally - no place for computers or any other machine. Man is flesh and blood, not metal and plastic.

To reinerate, traditionalists, take a look at the computer, it can’t hurt to look. Yeah, I know you have no use for computer-generated artwork but looking into the matter will give a newfound respect for computer-assisted art production. You will find that the artist still has to have the fundamentals of drawing, painting, and composition installed in his artistic soul to create anything of real value, the computer only outputs what it has received as input from its humand master. So, even the computer is nothing without that ‘human touch’. I know that set all my true art-producing purist straight - glad I said it - so you all can be at rest in this present state of the times. Technology doesn’t have to be feared.

Now do you believe me? This superheroe has just grossed $100 million. Didn’t I prophecy this?...Didn’t I say “Ironman” was going to be a powerful piece of cinematography? Now, ready to crown me?...OK, no need to do all that, just give me credit for seeing what has now become reality: “Ironman” is a giant hit.

So, how do I do it? Well...being a right-brained individual, an artist, I’m immediately effected by good design, colors, and all things visual. This being the case, I was instantly taken by that “Ironman” Superbowl commercial earlier this year; I immediately said to myself that this was to be a great movie , if only for its visual elements. But after being overwhelmed with the shocking imagery in that short cameo, I also took in Mr. Robert Downey,Jr.’s aura, I could feel the seriousness and dedication he must have put into every word of script he uttered and brought to life on the screen. Robert Downey, Jr. wanted us to see and feel the Marvel Comics’ superheroe as a reality we could relate to, touch and feel.

Now, let me speak on Marvel’s decision to allow Robert Downey, Jr. to have this so distingished role as “Ironman”. As has been over-publicized, Mr. Downey has had some really bad and horrible situations to get through; he had to use all of his strength and resources to get back to what he is - a great actor. His life itself is a testamony to mankind’s innner powers(we are never as hopeless as we think), he was in the dungeon, but now he’s in the palace. Marvel Comics saw his desire for change and his toughness - they made a smart decision. A miracle? Yes, but we all can acheive life-changing, spectacular effects in our challenging lives, too. We just have to want it badly enough. Just like Stan Lee’s “Ironman,” we like Robert Downey Jr., can change or lives through seemingly “superpowers”, super power we didn’t belkieve we possessed. Let’s be like “Ironman” and use our minds in such a way that we draw on our will, intent in such a way that they seem to be superpowers. Good day.

This is not a knock on Rhonda Byrne or her popular book, “The Secret”. Again...I’m only expressing a personal view, but true view, and nothing more. Now I will reveal where I first discovered the thoughts and course of action prescribed in “The Secret”. There are to famous books from days gone by that present the same program that makes up the contents of Rhonda Byrne’s book. “Think & Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill, the other by Claude M. Bristol called “The Magic of Believing”, both books - gems in the field of personal development and self-help - contain what you see and read in “The Secret”. Take a look.

Now, know this, Rhonda Byrne has done a great service by reigniting the flame of personal development and self-help. “The Secret” is a valuable book for our personal development if put into action - put into action - being the real “secret”. It is valuable in that it has awakened interest in mankind’s inner resources, in his ability to totally change his life for the better solely through using his god-given will-power. Yes, as you’ve noticed, I’ve been away a bit. You guys didn’t get too lonely did ya? I’m OK, I‘ve just been busy, busy, busy...but I’m back now and here’s the scoop: The economy is in bad shape. I hope that bit of top secret info didn’t cause you guys too much shock, they(the Feds, etc.) have pulled the wool over our sweet little sheep eyes again. I remember hearing the Federal Reserve Chairman, Ben Bernanke, say in the latter part of last year that we were not in for a recession, but I knew from the looks of things - jobs, gas, housing - that oh yes, we were in a recession in 2007 and certainly now in 2008 - the Feds always have a way of hiding the truth. It’s called lying, oh my, such a dirty word. You mean the federal government, our fine and distingished statesmen lied to us. Why treat us like this, we sheep haven’t done anything wrong, we’re always good little blind and nieve creatures...Why?...Why?...Why?

America might be the “promise land” but we don’t always get everything we’re promised. Mr. Ben Bernanke , our beloved Fed Chairman, has finally admitted what most of us knew all along - we are in - okay, we are heading in the direction of a recession. Whoo...I think I need to wipe my face after that one. You would have thought Federal Reserve Chairman, Ben Bernanke was pulling teeth - but whose teeth, ours or his? Any way folks, we going to be alright. Right?

Of course, I must, I must, it’s my solemn duty to leave you with some bountiful, uplifting thoughts to lighten your load. Even though our most honored and respected Federal Reserve Chairman, Ben Bernanke has given us some rather foil news - we must not let that send our minds and hearts into a pessimstic dungeon. This is a first time we have experienced quite a few times before, a recession, a downturn in the economy, and surely it won’t be the last. This United States of America will make it through these somewhat turbulent times and each and everyone of us loyal sheep will take our part in this country’s recovery. We will make, we will make it. We all should focus on what we as single individuals can do to make America, our glorious country, what it has always been - The world’s strongest nation. Stand up and salute this wonderful place called the “United States of America”. I leave you all with this.

Leona Lewis, I saw Leona Lewis last night on “Jimmy Kimmel Live”, he and Carson Daly’s “Last Call” really put on recording artists that people want to see; even if they are not widely known. They also put on our favorites too - singers other shows won’t book. Theses telecasts give new artists some very valuable exposure. Leona Lewis is the latest beneficiary, she performed on the hip show “Jimmy Kimmel Live” last night, she seems like she really wants to be a big rock star. What? Every singer wants to be a rock star or singing star...we all want to succeed and succeed big. Man, was I surprised...the woman is gorgeous, I mean drop-dead gorgeous - and you wonder why I’m in this business?**### - just kidding.

Hey, how about “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and Carson Daly’s “Last Call” though, them cats doing it. Right? I mean they “on point” with bringing on them acts - and that’s real. They’re giving the “rock star” feel or favor. “Jimmy Kimmel Live” even has real outdoor concerts, I mean real stage shows, first time I saw that on a late night show. Or was it Carson Daly’s...? Oh yeah, how about Jimmy Kimmel’s Matt Damon skit, that’s so funny, poor Matt Damon, if only they had enough time. Like I said, “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and “Last Call” ain’t playing peoples, they pulling out all the stops and I, for one, love it. Their musical guests is what’s powering both shows, and that’s okay with me...I can go to David Letterman or Conan O’Brien for my chuckles...

Now, this Leona Lewis is nice to look at, I would like to inspect and observe this specimen again. Can some one tell me where I can do that? He, hee...Leona Lewis, you looking good girl...

Shout-Out To America And The Soldiers In Iraq

This isn’t going to be a vote for or against the war we find ourselves in over in Iraq, instead I want to show my gratitude for the people over there who are sacrificing everything for this country. I want them to know that I think about them a whole lot, and that they are doing a very admirable job - protecting this country - our beloved United States of America. What greater love can a man or woman have than to lay down his or her life for his brother.

Many of you soldiers are coming back to America, your home, in an impaired condition. Some of you aren’t returning at all. I think of your courage and love for America - you all make me proud to be in America - the greatest country of all.

Soldiers, know that most people in America and elsewhere see as I do. Let not the word Vietnam shed darkness and dishonor over your so honorable actions in Iraq, you brave men and women are obeying your Commander-in-Chief like a good knight would serve his king. I stand and give each and everyone of you a round of applaud for keeping this country strong. So, soldiers feel good about yourselves for we appreciate the work you do - Protecting the United States of America. Thank you so much.
