Mango's busy week

This week was a busy week for the Lord. His friends Ruben and Suzanne were playing with him this week. Together with Dylan he played a lot in the garden. At this moment I'm restyling the garden so it is a fun playground for the boys. They made big holes and were running through the plants. Two times this week I made a bikeride with the Lord and on friday we went to the show training with him. And of course the thing he loves the most, long walks through the fields with me.

Mango is now 6 days back to us.. The first day's the beagles don't like to play with Mango. But now mango had found back his place in the group and the boy's played now a lot in house and in the garden. Today I was starting training with Mango to running near the bicycle.

Playing cost a lot of energy. So after playing it's time to eat.

And when the Lord is eating... The beagles are waiting on the moment he is ready to start playing again.

After a holiday of three weeks in Wales, Mango is now back with us in Holland. Last monday we traveled to England to meet Pam,Paul and Mango. It was good to see him back. In the afternoon we traveled back to Holland. Mango was very tired and slept the hole way back. In Oosterhout we visited friends of us. Mango played with the beagles of Cees and Carolien. About half past nine we stepped in the car,to do the last part of the trip. About half past eleven we were back in Westerbork. Mango met his beaglefriends. Our neighbours had decorated our home and there was a photo of Mango on the cabinet with the tekst "Welcome home sweet Mango"

It was a long day for us so we went to bed quikley. The next morning Mango was still a sleep when I came downstairs. I took the first walk with the beagles and then with Mango. When we came back home Mango was checking out the hole house and garden.

Nothing changed in three weeks !!!!!!!

Mango's biggest friend, Dylan, didn't want to play with Mango the first day. When Mango tried to play, Dylan walked away from him. When Mango looked at him Dylan turned his head around. But now the play again.

With Michael, Mango played under the table.

But one of the things Mango liked the most this first day´s is sleeping........

And thinking of three fantastic weeks with Pam, Paul, Jose, Ceri and his Hamilton friends in beatiful Wales.

Mango is now back in Holland and we start a new showseason with him. In this year he will visit his friends in Wales again. So follow Mango his adventures in Holland again on this weblog.

International show Leiden

Today was the international show in Leiden. We were there with the beagles. Petra and Faith did it great. Faith became 1 Excelent and BOB. Monday 23 of March is Mango coming back to us and on the show in Leeuwarden in April he will be there.

A fantastic week in Wales

We have had a fatastic week in Wales with Petra and Leo and Pam and her family. What a beatyfull part of the UK. I had made a lot of photo's of this week. Tonight we are starting our trip to the Uk. This is the end of a wonderful part of our live with the beatyful and lovely Mr Mango, the Lord. We are staying for a week in Wales and visit the Crufts on thursday.

Pam and Paul thanks for the special time you give us with Mango.We shall never forget it.

This morning I brought Alinda and Mango to her parents in Drachten. Petra and Faith are also coming there.From that point the ladies started the trip to Denmark. I had made this afternoon a walk with the 4 boy's. Oure holyday baegle Max is here also. When we drove to the wood there was a hunting Pack with Horses and Foxhound's.
It was fantastic to see.

Mango's third official title

A long time ago we spoke to Pam and said to here "We will try to give Mango 2 official title's before he goes to the UK". On the Winner show in November last year Mango wins Junior Winner and Winner 2008, and also 2 CAC's. In Wychen, in December he won his 2nd CAC so he needed one CAC to become official Dutch Junior Champion.(normaly the winner title counts dubbel, but not for the junior championships title) But after Wychen the first show was in Februari, this was the reason that Mango stayed longer with us in Holland. We were trying to get his 3d title.

Yesterday it was show time in Eindhoven. It was Mango's chance to win the title. We left oure home about half past six in the morning and drove to Eindhoven. At a quater for nine we parked our car and walked to the show aerea. It was a short walk. In the show hall we found our beaglefriends and this was the beginning of a wonderfull/long day. We must show Mango before the beagles. He did it great. And he got an 1 Excellent and his last CAC point for the title. Meillion You'll Never Know became BOB. So it was again a good day for the Meillion Hamiltons. At 6 o'clock we drove back home. A long day was ending. On the way back Alinda made a phone call to the Uk to tell Pam the good news. Se was very proud. At half past eight we are back home. We were very tired but also happy. Next weekend Alinda and Mango are going with Petra and Faith to an international show in Denmark (Fredericia).

Sunday morning walk

Yesterday I had made a long walk with Mango through the fields. It was cold weather, with a little bit snow fall. After the walk Mango was sitting behind the window, with his beagle friends. The dogs looked to the birds in the garden. Next weekend is the first show of this year. It's Mango's last show in the Netherlands, before we bring him to the UK.

With 4 weeks the end of Mango's stay with us is comming. On the 1th of March we travel to Pam, and bring Mango to her. We shall miss him a lot..

Today it was nice weather in Holland. Alinda went to the horses and I drove with Mango in the car to the wood. We had made a walk from 2 hours. Mango likes it and me also. It was cold but sunny weather. In the wood it was beatyfull After the walk Mango was tired and was going to sleep.

Without Kevin it's very quiet in the house. But the young ones give us a lot of pleasure, love and hugs.
Everything is setteling down a little bit. The first two days after Kevins death, Jayson was sitting in front of the window, waiting for him to come home. But now he's trying to play with the little ones. Between Mike, Dylan and Mango is a little bit of a playfull fight over who will be the new boss in the house. Mike is still in the winning mood.

This weekend we organised a beaglewalk for the beagleclub, there were about 65 persons and 45 dogs, including 1 Hamiltonstövare and 2 labradors. It was a nice walk, but in the first ten minutes of the walk we lost a couple of beagles. In the beginning it were 5 ( including our Mike and holidaydog Max) but 3 followed us shortly. And 2 of them were still missing. (a mother and daughter) After the walk of two hours those dogs were still not there. So Tjeerd, the boss of the dogs and some other people stayed to search for them. I with the rest of the people returned to the restaurant for some soup. At about 5 o'clock Tjeerd got home together with the bosses of the dogs. I served a cup of coffee to them and at about 5.30 we went to the woods again . But it was dark and quiet there and we didin't find the dogs. At about 8.30 in the evening we left the woods and went home again, without the dogs. The next morning Tjeerd got up very early and was in the woods at 6.30. But he still didn't find them. At 9 The boss of the dog came to pick me up and we walked the whole route again. But still nothing. At about 1 we stopped the search and went home. Tjeerd was still at work and driving through the woods with the car. At about 3.30 he did one last lap through the woods and he saw two deer standing next to the water, looking at something. When he looked arround he saw one head sticking out of a bush. He recogniced it was a beagle's head and he called out to them. So a second head appeard. The firts one he could easely catch, the second one was a little bit more of a hassle. But in the end I got here also. So at the end of the day we could deliver the two dogs to the owners. They had been gone for about 30 hours!!!! It was an experience to nevr forget end never hope to do again.
So it was an strange end to a strange week.

In memoriam Kevin van de Oppershoeve

Today our oldest beaglefriend Kevin has died in the age of 13 years and 8 months.

Many years he was with us.
Every day was a party.
All those lovely days,

He was selfish…………….

Rest in peace Kevin. Thanks for the fantastic years, we miss you.
