Karl Rove was kind enough tonight to remind Sean Hannity that bloggers had something to do with Rathergate:

Hannity has had to be reminded a few times by his guests that it wasn’t just his interviews with Killian’s son and Ben Barnes’ daughter that broke open Rathergate.

This transcript of from the Hannity & Colmes show (11/23/04) is one such occasion:

HANNITY: But the fact is, Bernie, but they dropped the case. Nobody talks about this anymore. We were 50 days out of an election, Bernie, 50. This could have turned the election, had Ben Barnes' daughter not come forward and Colonel Killian's son and wife had not come forward and tell the truth.

GOLDBERG: And all those bloggers — and all those bloggers in their pajamas in their living room, as the new head of CNN domestic put it on FOX one night [-ed video], , that these bloggers are just a bunch of guys in their pajamas, you know. Well, these bloggers in their pajamas got the story right, and CBS News, with all its checks and balances, got the story wrong.

SANTIAGO, Chile Nov 20, 2004 ? President Bush stepped into the middle of a confrontation and pulled his lead Secret Service agent away from Chilean security officials who barred his bodyguards from entering an elegant dinner for 21 world leaders Saturday night.

Several Chilean and American agents got into a pushing and shoving match outside the cultural center where the dinner was held. Bush noticed the fracas after posing for pictures on a red carpet with the summit host, Chilean President Ricardo Lagos and his wife and first lady Laura Bush.

Abandoning the other three, Bush walked over to the agents, reached through the dispute and pulled his agent from the scrum.

The president, looking irritated, walked away with the agent. The incident was shown on APEC television.

"Chilean security tried to stop the president's Secret Service from accompanying him," said White House deputy press secretary Claire Buchan. "He told them they were with him and the issue was resolved."

What can we say? If Clinton would prefer we judge him for gaining the respect and applause of representatives of Zimbabwe, Myanmar, Venezuela, Libya, Belarus and Canada, we’ll oblige.

In our opinion it’s the fact that America is no longer admired by the world’s tyrants and cowards that demonstrates we’re doing something right.

The South Has Risen, Again!

ABC News national correspondent Carole Simpson has joined the chorus on the hysterical left in trying to portray red America's vote for Bush as a throwback to the Confederacy.

Note to Carole: Chill! Look, let us be the first to tell you... A few years ago we dealt with this slavery problem. A coalition of abolitionist parties formed, named themselves "Democrats", nominated a tall bearded guy called Abe, and went to war with the rebellious slave-holding Republican south.

Oh wait.. Nevermind. Well whatever, it was the slave-holding Democratic south; same difference.

Point is, red America is now on the side of Abe's (grand and old) party, while the northeast and the west coast have apparently forgiven the slave-holding traditions of the Democratic party. It's win-win!

Carole dedicated most of her time on the panel to telling the audience how stupid the kids she meets at high schools around the country are, how scary the red states are, and how uninformed most Americans are in general. It was sad, yet funny, a little boring, but alas, in Real Media format... So you'll have to go view it here.

Bush's Landslide: Or, How Kerry Won Ohio

In 2000 Bush received 329,708 votes in West Virginia. Gore received 291,088.

In 2004 there were 118,996 more voters in W. Virginia than in 2000.

Of those new voters 88,443 voted for Bush and 30,553 went for Kerry; Which is a net gain of 57,890 for Bush in 2004.

We applied the same formula to all 50 states, and declared a winner of each state's electoral votes based on who won the difference in 2004 over 2000.

Kerry had a built-in advantage in that there was a substantial shift away from Ralph Nader during the last four years that favored him. Nevertheless, Bush devastated Kerry inside these margins.

When the new data is applied to the electoral college, this is what it looks like:

Kerry won 11 states, the District of Columbia, and lost fewer Gore voters in Washington State than Bush lost from 2000.
UPDATED WITH PCT COLUMN

Bush won 37 states, and lost fewer of his California voters than Kerry lost of Gore's California voters from 2000.

The 2000 election data was taken from CNN, and the 2004 election data was taken from Yahoo. We're not sure if Washington State and California actually lost voters from 2000, or if that data just hasn't been updated at Yahoo.

Daily Recycler intelligence reports indicate Mr. Daddy and his “Vote or Die” posse are not bluffing when they threaten to execute those parts of the eligible (and perhaps ineligible) electorate which do not show up to the polls.

Tupac Shakur (pbuh) found this out the hard way after not voting in the midterm elections of 1994. Mr. Daddy and his voting advocates tracked Shakur down in 1996 and shot him dead.

The right-wing media is out to screw the Kerry campaign! First CBS News tricked Kerry and the Democrats into running "Bush was AWOL" ads by broadcasting what they knew to be forged memos. Now Kerry has been duped into co-opting a phony issue into his stump speeches by the New York Times!

We understand that it's an important election -- but it just isn't fair for the New York Times and CBS News to sabotage the Kerry/Edwards ticket in the last week of the campaign!

Washington Times:Security Council members deny meeting Kerry

From the second Presidential debate:

I went to meet with the members of the Security Council in the week before we voted. I went to New York. I talked to all of them to find out how serious they were about really holding Saddam Hussein accountable.

I came away convinced that, if we worked at it, if we were ready to work and letting Hans Blix do his job and thoroughly go through the inspections, that if push came to shove, they'd be there with us.

As for the new Bush ad, the AP says the spot is, "reminiscent of Ronald Reagan's 'Bear' ad that was credited with framing the 1984 race, (and) shows a dense forest from above.

...

One Bush adviser tells ABC News, "The ad was produced and tested months ago. Voter reaction was so powerful that we decided to hold the ad to the end of the campaign and make it ONE of the closing spots. It will run to the end."

The campaign says the ad will start to air today on national cable and in local markets in battleground states. The AP is reporting the ad will run in 14 states and that with the RNC, the campaign is spending about $15 million total on TV ads this week.

Outside the Michael Moore event last night, several Seattle area Protest Warriors were on duty, pissing off and in some cases confusing the cynical liberal crowd who thought they were being ironic.

Among the Protest Warriors was a familiar face to early readers of the Daily Recycler:
