And if so, how?
-How can I make the most equity out of my home investment, while saving money?
-What can I do to ensure I get top dollar for my home when I go to sell it?
-Is there any way to sell my home in a timely fashion without dropping the price below market value?
-How can I use the equity that I've gained to its fullest potential?
-I'm a first-time homebuyer, what kind of home can I get into considering my financial situation?

These are a few questions that have been posed to me over the last few months. There are many answers, some more correct than others. The main goal to which this blog aspires is to examine the different methods used in buying, selling and using real estate. In order to do so, this blog will examine different market patterns and occurrences in order to bring the most relevant data to light. What works in Nevada, Arizona, and even California may not work here in Idaho. On the other hand, there is much to learn from the market histories of these gold mines. The information from the past will help us better understand the possibilities for Idaho's future, and this will be evident as the blog posts keep progressing.

Staying up to date on market trends that are taking place in other parts of the country will be vital in the composition and validity of this blog, as the Idaho market is affected largely by external markets. Jeff Brown of Brown and Brown, INC. put it best in his Bawld Guy Talking blog on January 2: "Say Something Bad About Boise - There's No Surfing." Jeff is an investment broker in San Diego, CA and his perceptions of the Boise market are mirrored by investors all over the country. Check the stats: Idaho is number one in the country in year-to-date appreciation at over 17%. That's a rate most states would kill for right now! And with Boise's low rate of crime, low cost of living, and high rate of employment, we are quickly setting ourselves up to experience an investment boom unlike any we've seen.

I can be reached at JDalton@DaltonGroupOnline.com
This blog is to be a discussion, so feedback is key!
