a new way to display our blank greeting cards, I had them in an old cheese box-it was always messy. I can't put a lot out, but this makes it much easier to see the different styles and also makes the counter area feel larger.

my birthday has just passed and I got some really great presents - thanks everyone! - If you know me I don't really treat myself - the money I earn goes back to our business and to our family. here are some pictures from our cottage trip - the top image is of windmills - there's a stretch of highway to the cottage where it's filled with these huge windmills and when we were driving up it was a bit grey and these felt very ominous - our kids trying to enjoy sunny cold weather at the beach.

I have a love affair with knitting - I wish I had more time for it - john remembers our first Christmas together where I made him a scarf and undoing and redoing it too many times to count. I saw these sweet projects on the purl bee and feel they are completely doable with my busy schedule.

Hi were back from a few days at the cottage - well it wasn't what I expected. The weather was cold and foggy - very much like England weather in the Fall. We still managed to have some fun times and lots of R&R - Happy Canada Day! Okay back to work. I saw these new tea towels on Heather's site. And to boot for a limited time till July 6 she is charging 50c for shipping.

we trekked out to the area where everyone gets lights, fixtures, tiles etc. It's in the Caledonia/Eglinton area mostly on Castlefield road. We were looking for a door and some glass light fixtures for the shop. It's worth a trip to the door store - and much more. The past few days it's been sooo hot - we don't have air conditioning and it's becoming unbearable. To top off the heat the city of toronto has a garbage strike. My father-in-law came into the city to pick our garbage and my sister-in-law's - what service - thanks Doug! I remember there was a garbage strike five years ago and let me tell you our streets did not look or smell pretty.
