6月26日5时26分，"流行音乐之王"迈克尔·杰克逊突发心脏病去世，终年50岁。当中国的歌迷为这位摇滚歌王终其一生却未能在中国大陆举办一场演唱会而遗憾时，殊不知，22年前，也就是1987年，在香港度假的迈克尔·杰克逊曾以游客的身份第一次踏上中国内地的土地，低调探访了中山，这也是他生平唯一一次大陆行。

6月27日晚上，记者在中山国旅的协助下，联系上了定居在美国、原籍中山的刘广志。曾供职于中山国旅的刘广志，在1987年10月23日，作为迈克尔·杰克逊的导游，陪同其游玩中山。短短一日游中，迈克尔·杰克逊感受着中山的田园风光和村民的简朴生活，"他说'中山的自然风光与瑞士很像，一切都是如此翠绿'。"

平生唯一一次大陆行

"他到中山来看看中国内地是怎样的"

如今定居在美国马里兰州的刘广志，作为当时中山英语说得最好的导游，于1987年10月23日接待了迈克尔·杰克逊一行。那一年，刘广志才23岁。

墨绿上衣，笔挺的黑色长裤，黑框大眼镜，友好而安静。这是迈克尔·杰克逊留给刘广志的第一印象。"直到拿到拱北海关的游客名单，我才知道我接待的是迈克尔·杰克逊。"聊起二十多年前的经历，刘广志依然兴奋不已。"名单上写着要派好的车辆和安排好的餐厅，这时我才意识到，天王巨星来了。"在刘广志至今依然保存完好的旅行团名单中，迈克尔·杰克逊的名字被列在第一位，职业一栏，显示为"娱乐业"。

"大部分歌迷都为歌王没来过内地而感到遗憾，却不知道，早在22年前，他就踏上中国大陆的土地。"

探访三乡雍陌村

"他着迷于中山的稻田、水牛、村庄和农舍"

那是一个晴朗的日子。当天上午，杰克逊一行12人从香港转道拱北海关。刘广志带领杰克逊一行，从三乡雍陌村，到南朗翠亨村，感受着伟人故里秀丽的自然风光。

1987年，虽然美国流行音乐仍未大量涌入中国，但凭借着热卖的专辑《THRILLER》，许多前卫的中山年轻人认识了杰克逊。"他没有什么架子，也不像后来那样身旁簇拥着许多保镖。在雍陌村，许多外国游客和村民认出了他，纷纷找他合影签名。"

在雍陌村逗留的短短40分钟里，迈克尔·杰克逊显然对尚未城市化的中国农村兴趣浓厚。"他着迷于稻田、水牛，池塘中的鸭子，沿着道路星罗棋布的村庄、旧世纪般的农舍。"刘广志告诉记者，乡亲们的友善和率真以及简单朴实的生活方式，深深吸引着迈克尔·杰克逊。"他走在雍陌村的青石板路上，好奇地望着襁褓中的婴儿，和村里的孩子们打着招呼，与在家门口晒太阳的老妇人合影。他和同行的人拍了很多乡村的照片和录像。"

迈克尔·杰克逊与雍陌村孩子的两张合影，后来出现在他的自传中(如图)。在刘广志传阅给记者的照片上，年轻的歌王与村里十多个可爱的小孩子一起，无拘无束，露着甜甜的笑脸，仿佛就是一个孩子王。而迈克尔·杰克逊在图片下方表达了当时的感受："在中国看到那些孩子的时候，我无法抗拒孩子对我的吸引。"

参观孙中山故居

"他对孙中山很是钦佩，对中山装也很感兴趣"

当天中午在温泉度假村进餐时，同一酒店就餐的30多名美国游客认出了迈克尔·杰克逊，他们非常兴奋地与歌王合影留念。"由于迈克尔·杰克逊当年吃素，我们为他准备了素食，看起来他对食物并不太挑剔。"

饭后，一行人来到南朗的翠亨村，参观孙中山故居和中山纪念中学。"作为中山游之首选，孙中山故居纪念馆、翠亨村的民居，都是当年许多外国游客'一日游'必到的地方。"刘广志介绍道。

来中国之前，迈克尔·杰克逊对孙中山并不了解，在刘广志的介绍下，迈克尔·杰克逊逐渐熟悉了国父的革命路程。"在孙中山故居，他对中国特色的建筑很感兴趣，参观的时候，还向我了解孙中山的生平事迹。看起来，他对孙中山很是钦佩。"

身穿中山装的伟人照片也引发了迈克尔·杰克逊的好奇心，他还打听了"中山装"的由来和设计特点。"据说他回港之后委托香港方面量身定做了中山装，带回美国。"

七个多小时的参观很快结束，临走时，迈克尔·杰克逊告诉刘广志："中山的自然风光跟瑞士很像，一切都是如此翠绿。"

"他是一个友好安静的人，帮我们保存了美好的回忆。"

短短一天的接触，让刘广志感受到一个"友好而安静"的流行天王。"他话不是很多，更多时候只是安静地看着。但他很平易近人，会主动和孩子们打招呼、合影。"

"由于停留时间有限，我们没有机会对任何特定的主题进入真正的谈话。"对此，刘广志表示了遗憾。不过，迈克尔·杰克逊的细心让他颇为感动："回到香港之后，他委托他的经纪人寄来了我们的合影，还在照片上面签名。"

同时寄回来的，还有迈克尔·杰克逊与雍陌村孩子、老人的合影，刘广志随后把这些照片送回雍陌村。这些照片，直到今天依然被很多村民摆放在屋里的显要位置保存着。"这对于我们而言，是一个非常美好的回忆，杰克逊帮我们保存了下来。"

1990年，申请到美国读书的刘广志把与迈克尔·杰克逊的这些美好回忆，包括当年的游客名单、照片都随身携带到了美国。如今，这些珍贵的历史照片成为刘广志家里最宝贵的物件之一。"他虽然不在了，但我依然会看着照片，回想起杰克逊的随和与平易近人。他是一个无以伦比的天王巨星，我们永远怀念他。"

Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009) was an
American recording artist, entertainer and businessman. The seventh
child of the Jackson family, he made his debut on the professional
music scene in 1968 as a member of The Jackson 5. He then began a solo
career in 1971 while still a member of the group and was referred to
as the "King of Pop" in subsequent years. Jackson's 1982 album
Thriller remains the world's best-selling album of all time,and four
of his other solo studio albums are among the world's best-selling
records: Off the Wall (1979), Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991) and HIStory
(1995).

In the early 1980s, he became a dominant figure in popular music and
the first African American entertainer to amass a strong crossover
following on MTV. The popularity of his music videos airing on MTV,
such as "Beat It", "Billie Jean" and "Thriller" — widely credited with
transforming the music video from a promotional tool into an art form
— helped bring the relatively new channel to fame. Videos such as
"Black or White" and "Scream" made Jackson an enduring staple on MTV
in the 1990s. With stage performances and music videos, Jackson
popularized a number of physically complicated dance techniques, such
as the robot and the moonwalk. His distinctive musical sound and vocal
style influenced many hip hop, pop and contemporary R&B artists across
several generations.

Jackson donated and raised millions of dollars for beneficial causes
through his foundations, charity singles, and support of 39 charities.
Other aspects of his personal life, including his often changing
appearances and eccentric behavior, generated significant controversy
which damaged his public image. Though he was accused of child sexual
abuse in 1993, the criminal investigation was closed due to lack of
evidence and Jackson was not charged. The singer had experienced
health concerns since the early 1990s and conflicting reports
regarding the state of his finances since the late 1990s. Jackson
married twice and brought up three children, actions which caused
further controversy. In 2005, Jackson was tried and acquitted of
further sexual abuse allegations and several other charges.

One of the few artists to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame twice, his other achievements include multiple Guinness
World Records — including one for "Most Successful Entertainer of All
Time" — 13 Grammy Awards, 13 number one singles in his solo career,
and the sale of 750 million records worldwide. At the time of his
death, he was preparing for This Is It, a series of 50 concerts that
would have been held in London beginning July 13, 2009.

The Beijing News June 26, 2009 Most of China has been sweltering since June 22.

Chinese meteorologist uses 35℃ as a benchmark temperature for "hot".
In Beijing, there have already been six such days his year, topping
the city's average number of 5.7 "hot" days. Today's Beijing News
reports that the heat wave is likely to end on June 28.

According to the Beijing Bureau of Labor and Social Security, all
employees who work in a temperature higher than 33℃ are entitled to
get a high temperature subsidy. The subsidy rate is 60 yuan per month
for outdoor work and 45 yuan for indoor work.

– Alexander Smith is a Reuters columnist. The opinions expressed are
his own –Michael Jackson's will is bound to be as bizarre as the rest
of the singer's turbulent life. But one thing is for sure, the
arguments over his deeply flawed financial legacy will keep lawyers
busy for years.

Top of the list will be sorting out Jackson's sell-out comeback
tour,which was due to kick off next month. There are bound to be
losses, insurance claims and the prospect of an empty London O2 Arena
for 50 nights during the peak summer period.

Music industry bible Billboard reckons promoter AEG Live could lose as
much as $40 million if its insurance is insufficient to cover what has
already been spent on the production. That's assuming they have to
give refunds to the 750,000 fans who have paid big money for tickets.

And that doesn't count the cost of hotel reservations and flights from
across the world.

Then there's the small issue of the $500 million in debts that Jackson
is reported to have left behind.

Bizarrely, Sir Paul McCartney, the super-rich former Beatle, could be
one of the beneficiaries of Jackson's will. Reports earlier this year
said Jackson had left McCartney his stake in the Beatles' song
catalogue. But given that this share already has a $200 million loan
secured against it, there could be a few court hearings before the
former Beatle gets the songs back in his own collection.

Some estimate that Jackson's top assets, including copyrights to his
own songs and the Beatles song catalogue stake, are worth more than $1
billion.

No doubt Jackson's family, his creditors, and partners such as Los
Angeles-based real estate investment trust Colony Capital LLC and
music catalogue joint venture partner Sony Corp, will all be laying
claim to some of these assets.

The self-styled King of Pop's music will live on in his recordings,
but its a fair bet that the legacy of his high-spending lifestyle will
be around for a good few years too.

北京6月25日电---针对国际体操联合会决定就参加2000年悉尼奥运会的两名中国女子体操运动员年龄问题展开调查一事，中国承诺予以配合。

国际体操联合会周二决定，就参加2000年悉尼奥运会的两名中国女子体操运动员董芳霄和杨云的年龄是否低于16岁的问题展开调查。按规定奥运会体操选手参赛年龄需满16周岁。

调查委员会将报告调查进展情况。若中方确实存在违规，委员会还将就处罚措施提出建议。

杨云是中国奥运三金获得者杨威的妻子。若她违反了最低年龄规定，将被取消奥运铜牌。若任何这两人中有任何一人违反最低年龄规定，中国体操队将可能失去团体奖牌。

女子体操队教练陆善真向《北京青年报》表示："我们将与国际体操联合会积极沟通，并配合他们的调查工作。"

"国际体操联合会可能掌握了某些信息，但我们得与他们交流才知道这些信息是什麽。"

Olympic officials are investigating claims that a Chinese gold-medal
winning gymnast He Kexin was too young to compete in the Beijing
games.

He Kexin has become the darling of the host nation since winning gold
in the both the individual and team events.

Chinese coaches registered He as 16 years old. But an official inquiry
has been launched after it was claimed she may only be 14 and,
therefore, ineligible to compete in the games.

The investigation was triggered after US computer expert Mike Walker
contacted the International Olympic Committee claiming to have
uncovered Chinese government documents proving the gymnast was
underage. Gymnasts must be 16 to compete.

IOC spokeswoman Giselle Davies said the matter had been referred to
the International Gymnastics Federation, the sport's governing body,
after troubling developments.

"More information has come to light that did point to discrepancies,"
Ms Davies said.

"We have asked the gymnastics federation to look into it further with
the national Chinese federation. If there is a question mark, and we
have a concern - which we do - we ask the governing body of any sport
to look into... as to why there is a discrepancy."

He narrowly won gold on the uneven bars on Monday. Despite recording
an identical score as US gymnast Nastia Liukin judges moved her into
first place for style. She was also part of the gold-winning Chinese
all-round team.

Bela Karolyi, a former gymnastics coach whose wife, Martha, trains the
US women's team, has repeatedly accused the Chinese of fielding
underage female gymnasts.

The ages of two other team members, Jiang Yuyuan and Yang Yilin have
also aroused suspicion. Time magazine reported that government
records, that have since disappeared, showed both girls to be 14.

The minimum age for female gymnasts was increased from 14 to 15 in
1981, and up to 16 in 1997, to protect the physical and mental health
of young athletes.

基督教和天主教有什么区别?

■「许多人以为天主教和基督教没有甚么分别，甚至基督教范围内的基督徒也有同样的看法，以为两者之间非常接近，也有许多人以为基督教是从天主教分出来的新教，这种思想和看法是错误的。」

他们只注意到马丁路得的改教运动产生了基督教，完全忘记自从耶稣降世一直到使徒时代，基督教便己经存在。天主教是使徒以后基督教日趋腐化的产物。事实上，在第四世纪罗马王君士坦丁统治之前，在基督教里绝对没有教皇这一种位分。并且在第七世纪的初叶各教会才同意教皇作为教会中看得见的元首。所以我们纵使按最保守的讲法，「在第四世纪初叶以前根本就没有天主教」，因为天主教最大的特点是有教皇，基督教乃是早在基督时代便开始存在的了。

The term Christian applies to all those believers who affirm the
existence of the Trinity, the full divinity and full humanity of
Christ Jesus, and the Sacrament of Baptism.

The term 'Catholic Church' uses the term 'catholic' which is the Latin
word for universal. The earliest Christians used the term 'Catholic
Church' in writing around the end of the 1st century (see letters of
St. Ignatius of Antioch). It is meant to denote the communion of all
believers: the 'one body' of Christ.

In the early centuries that followed, the Church adopted creeds in
which all believers professed liturgically 'I believe in... The Holy
Catholic Church' (baptism) and 'We believe in One, Holy, Catholic, and
Apostolic Church' (Eucharistic Liturgy).

Most Christian ecclesial communities still profess a belief in the
creeds. The institutional Church still lays claim to all four marks of
the Church: oneness, holiness, catholicity and apostolicity.

While other Christian ecclesial communities also claim all four
pillars, oneness and apostolicity seem to be questionable. Ever since
the Reformation, Protestant groups have been splintering and
spilliting off from each other over every piece of doctrine.

Along the same lines, the institutional Catholic Church has the
historical ability to claim apostolicity in the form of 'apostolic
succession.' The apostles (Jesus' closest followers) appointed
succesors for themeselves to fulfill their mission of 'preaching the
gospel to all nations' (Mt. 28:20; see Acts 1).

The successor to the office of St. Peter is the person we call the
'pope'. As the successor to St. Peter, he has the same guarantee that
Christ gave to Peter: 'Amen I say to you Simon you are rock [peter]
and upon this rock I will build my Church and the gates of hell will
not prevail against it. Behold, I will give you the keys to the
kingdom; whatever you bind of earth will be bound in heaven and
whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.' (Mt. 16:17-19)

The pope and the bishops in union with him make up the 'magesterium,'
which is the 'sacred teaching office of the Church'. It was under
magisterial authority that the Church compiled the Sacred Scriptures
during the first millenium. They also have the responsibilty of
interpreting the Scriptures. There there was no authority in place to
interperate the bible, then anyone could start a new Church based on
their own interpretation of any 5 bible verses (which is exactly what
happened after the Reformation)

In Short, the Catholicism is the 'original Church' that Christ founded
on St. Peter. The other Christian communities broke off from that
Church throughout the centuries.

A Christian is a Christian is a Christian

Being a Christian is not a denomination. Catholocism is a Christian
denomination. Being Christian is simply a matter of believing that
Jesus died for our sins and was rescurected from the dead. It is
simply accepting the fact that all men are sinners, including
ourselves and accepting the grace that God provided through the
sacrifice of his son.

There is no Christian VS Catholic any more than there is Christian VS
Baptist or Methodist or any other denomination.

Now if you were referring to differences between protestant and
catholic, that is a different issue. But even there the differences
are based in tedium and differences in tradition. Both incorporate the
same God and the same saviour.

一、传统单反相机和传统普通相机的区别

1、光通道不同
单反相机采用了特殊的构造，更本上解决了象差的问题，就是说从取景器内部看到的就是将要暴光在胶片上的图象，传统傻瓜机由于镜头和取景器各自分开，光通道和取景内容不同，又称为"旁轴取景"，如果拍摄的距离很近有可能造成看到的是拍摄对象的头，而照的是对象的身子！所以普通相机没法拍摄微距照片，也不能直接看到景深等效果。

2、快门不同
单反相机都是采用帘幕快门，速度可以做到1/2000秒以上，而普通传统相机采用镜间快门（在镜头透镜之间，为花瓣状）速度一般最多做到1/400秒。单反相机优势明显。

3、镜头不同
单反相机可以更换不同的镜头（广角、鱼眼、长焦）。普通相机不可能做到，因为取景器内看到的和胶片上得到的影象完全是两回事！

4、功能上差异很大
高档的单反相机有丰富的手动功能，专业摄影师能得心应手的使用。而普通相机手动功能有限。当然效果就不可能同日而语。

5、体积相差很大
单反相机往往体积庞大，携带麻烦，而普通相机相对较小巧，特别是有些傻瓜机，小巧方便。

二、单反数码相机和普通数码相机的区别

结构不同
1、和传统单反相机一样采用了特殊的构造，数码单反相机更本上解决了象差的问题，就是说从取景器内部看到的就是将要暴光在胶片上的图象，普通数码相机由于采用了CCD感光模式，大家在LCD上看到的就是CCD感受到的图象，也就是说拍摄者在液晶屏上看到的也是大家将要拍摄的图象，也不存在像差问题，所以普通数码相机也能拍摄好微距！所以从这点来说，单反相机不占优势。

快门问题
2、快门问题，现在的快门设计也提高了技术和工艺，普通的快门也能做到1/1000秒以上了，但是数码单反应用的帘幕快门往往能够把速度做的更快，可以高达1/2000—4000秒。不过它们的差异正在缩小！

镜头不同
镜头差别也太大了，单反数码相机可以更换不同的镜头（广角、鱼眼、长焦）。因为受全片幅感光材料（cmos或ccd）的限制，光学变焦功能大打折扣（原因是全片幅和普通数码相机相比太大），普通的数码单反基本上都配了个让人不满意的狗头，必须购买多个镜头才能发挥数码单反的威力，后续投资大，而普通数码相机最多加个转接环然后画蛇添足的接个镜头，效果可想而知，不过因为使用了面积小很多的ccd所以往往可以做成大光变，在这点上各自都有自己的优势！

感光材料的面积差别
数码单反相机大多数采用全片幅的2/3为感光材料，少数高端产品做到了全片幅（就是和35毫米胶片的大小一样），往往比普通的数码相机采用的ccd的面积大几倍，所以数码单反一般躁点非常小，而普通的数码相机躁点控制要差很多，例如600w
的canon 300D 和800w的sony f828比躁点控制相差太大了，简直无法比！现在出的新产品canon
1D可谓登峰造极！达到了1600w。效果好的没法形容,简直难以想象，希望大家看到这款相机的时候眼珠子没有滚到地上！就是用jpg的格式一张pp就要7兆多（相信如果发这样的原片大家都受不了）！

重点说明：

1、数码单反相机和传统单反相机的快门是故障率很高的部件,因为在拍摄的时候首先是面镜要翻上去,然后再暴光,这一系列动作都是非常快的,而且都是机械装置。有些朋友问我为什么我在用闪光灯时候，在取景器内看不见闪光，通过以上讲解大家应该知道了为什么（反光面镜相当于一个光路的切换开关）。

2、单反相机在更换镜头的时候内部很容易进灰，特别是数码单反，如果CCD上面脏了就只能请专业部门维修清理！所以在更换镜头的时候尽量找干净无尘的地方进行。

Definition: An SLR, or single-lens reflex, digital camera is a
high-end model aimed at intermediate and experienced photographers.

SLR models typically offer interchangeable lenses, full manual
controls, external flash units, and through-the-lens (TTL)
viewfinders. They're large models and they closely resemble the 35mm
film cameras that were popular several years ago, with handgrips and
large lens housings.

A digital camera model that looks like an SLR, but that doesn't offer
a TTL viewfinder or an interchangeable lens, is called an SLR-style
camera. Such cameras are aimed more at intermediate and advanced
beginner photographers.

Digital single lens reflex cameras offer many of the same options as
compact digital cameras: control of aperture, shutter speed, scene
modes and changeable ISO.

While compact digital cameras have gotten better through the years,
there are things about them that can be frustrating for a serious
photographer.

Two primary issues are difficulty of focusing in low light and the
need to wait to take the next picture because of focus lag.

Why I bought a DSLR

Before buying a DSLR, I often missed wonderful photo opportunities
when using a compact digital camera. With a compact, I couldn't
consistently click at the peak moment. I had to wait while a picture
was being saved to the memory card or the flash was busy recycling.

Speaking of flash, some of my compact digital cameras do not have hot
shoes for external flashes that could be bounced off the ceiling,
dooming me to inevitable red-eye problems.

DSRLs excel in low light
Another problem I had with compact digital cameras was getting good
pictures in low light.

Unlike DSLRs, most compacts have limited light sensitivity. Pictures
taken at ISO numbers higher than 100 can show excessive visual noise,
colored speckles that would be the equivalent of "grain" on film.
Besides, my pets aren't thrilled with flash, so I prefer to photograph
them with available light. My DSLRs have much better image quality at
higher ISO.

Other benefits of DSLRs
I yearned for a camera that would have subjects in good focus, but
beautifully blur the background. This effect can be difficult to
achieve with a compact digital camera because it has a deep area of
focus (depth of field).

I also yearned for a camera with which I could use different lenses to
capture a wide range of subjects, for example, a wide angle lens for
mountain vistas, a telephoto to shoot dog agility, and a macro to
capture insect life and flowers in my garden.

A digital single lens reflex camera meets those needs, plus offers
additional benefits:

■DSLRs have very fast shot-to-shot time that enables you to capture
sports and other fast motion activities much more easily than with a
compact digital camera.
■If you photograph wildlife that is far away from the camera and need
super telephoto capability, your best images come from a DSLR.
■If you like to photograph tiny things that you want to look large and
have stunning detail, nothing beats a DSLR with a good macro lens.

Shortcomings of Digital Single Lens Reflex cameras

Digital single lens reflex cameras are larger and bulkier…and more
expensive…than compacts. If you think you'll find one with the perfect
lens to take all the pictures you want to take, forget it! You will
need more than one lens!

Some DSLRs lack a "Live View ," so you can't use the LCD for composing
a picture. You must hold the camera to your eye and compose and shoot
using the viewfinder. On those cameras, the LCD is used primarily to
review photos already taken.

Today's DSLRs are also audibly NOISY. The combination of the mirror
slap* and shutter sound are enough to send a cat flying.

*A digital single reflex camera has a mirror that snaps up momentarily
when taking a photo so light can hit the sensor. When the mirror moves
out of the way, it makes a slapping sound.

DSLR challenges
Before investing in a digital single lens reflex camera there are a
few other things you should know:

DSLR images require more editing
Straight out of the camera, images require more editing than I have
with compact digital camera images. While there are auto modes on
DSLRs and images can be saved as jpg files, it is much better to take
the images in raw mode. Don't be scared about processing raw images –
it's a lot easier than the directions might make you believe.

Obtaining deep depth of field is more difficult
Using a large aperture, such as f/2.8, on a compact digital camera
gives me great depth of field, the area of a picture that's in focus
from near to far. Using the same aperture with my DSLR will give me
less area in focus. For example, when photographing my dog only his
nose and eyes are in focus. The rest of his body will be a blur.

The sensor may require cleaning

Unless a DSLR has a built-in anti-dust system, the sensor inside the
camera has to be cleaned! Volumes are written about different
products for performing this scary process. I've changed my DSLR
lenses hundreds of times, opening up the sensor to dreaded dust spots,
each time I did it.

I must admit I've cleaned sensors only three times. If there is a spot
on an image, I fix it very easily with my photo editing program. For
the faint-hearted, you can have the sensor professionally cleaned.

Before buying a DSLR
Before switching from a compact to a digital single lens reflex
camera, also consider the following:

■Good lenses aren't cheap, so it pays to do research. I visit the DSLR
forums at dpreview and also check the reviews at Fred Miranda's site.
The advantage of buying a good lens is that it will retain much of its
value if you decide to sell.
■Some lenses are more useful than others, so choose carefully!
Currently I'm finding my 17-55mm* f/2.8 lens the most widely useful of
any I own.
■It helps to love post processing (editing) photos. Images don't
always come out of the camera the way you want them. Being able to
edit creatively and competently has saved many a shot that might
otherwise have been discarded.
■Not surprisingly, many DSLRs and lenses weigh a whole lot more than
compact digital cameras!
If you are an adventurous sort who wants to get into digital
photography as well as photo editing more deeply, a DSLR and a good
editing program are definitely for you.

　　Atom处理器基于全新的微架构，保留了Core 2
Duo处理器的指令集，支持多线程处理，芯片面积不足25mm2，集成4700万个晶体管，是Intel有史以来最小功耗最低的处理器，11颗Atom处理器核心的面积仅和1美分硬币相当。Atom处理器(Silverthorne)基于Intel
45nm Hi-K技术制造，TDP仅为0.6到2.5W，但最高频率可达到1.8GHz。

　　继Classmate PC和OLPC之后，整机起步较晚的华硕为扩大内地市场份额，提升整机销量，在笔记本价格一再走低的情况下，跳出价格战的怪圈，率先推出低成本小尺寸笔记本产品，他们具有无线和多媒体功能，采用英特尔赛扬低端处理器，SSD硬盘，Linux
/ Windows XP操作系统，售价不少于200美元。

　　其实，Eee PC是华硕与英特尔合作的低价笔记本项目，采用了英特尔200美元学生笔记本(Classmate
PC)架构。不过，英特尔Classmate PC初期在中国只做教育试点，不面向零售市场。因此，不能不说华硕与Classmate
PC没有关系，反而是英特尔一早就发现了这块市场。

　　在英特尔的支持下，华硕需要改变低价产品设计。首先，沿用常规笔记本外观，并提供多种颜色，时尚靓丽;定位也不再局限教育，而是向女性市场和广大消费类市场进军，还通过3C卖场进行铺货。

　　华硕用Eee PC卡住2999笔记本价位，多做了这一道价格区隔，让自己的其他产品保住原有价位，不至于降得那样快。同时，Eee
PC的独特设计和低价位也让Eee PC区别与其他笔记本，向快消品迈进了一大步。

　　事实上，华硕Eee PC起初定位曾效仿Classmate
PC和OLPC，主要面向女性和儿童消费者，发展中市场，将主要面向大型买家，如政府和教育机构。后来，英特尔及OLPC的经验教训让华硕修改了产品定位，进一步扩大范围，改为针对广大消费市场。华硕开放平台事业群总经理沈振来表示，"Eee

　　结果，华硕Eee PC的市场果然没有让英特尔失望，据华硕07年底表示08年Eee
PC出货量可达380万台。试想，据当时统计，惠普的08年笔记本出货量预计620万台，苹果同期预计可达140万台，华硕如果仅Eee
PC一项就可达380万台，这种销量怎能不让人心动?可以说，华硕Eee
PC成功了，它成了低成本、小尺寸笔记本电脑的标杆，也成为其他厂商借鉴经验的对象。

　　就在这时，英特尔立即在08年初抛出了NetBook概念，这种采用了10英寸以下屏幕的非全功能产品，将类似于华硕Eee

　　通报说，连日来，公安机关采取得力措施，加紧侦办"邓玉娇案"。公安机关以雄风宾馆休闲中心梦幻城涉嫌色情服务，于22日对雄风宾馆经理贺德红进行了依法传唤。经警方找邓玉娇、有关证人进一步调查和现场勘察，证实不存在邓玉娇被强奸的事实。

　　通报还说，邓玉娇及其母亲和其他亲属对受委托律师不顾事实向外散布"邓玉娇被强奸"一事感到非常愤慨。目前邓玉娇母亲张树梅已声明与受委托律师解除委托关系。原因是受委托律师未履行好职责，没有对委托人提供实质上的法律帮助，偏离了委托的方向。

　　通报称，公众关注的"邓玉娇案"中"第三人"系巴东县野三关镇财经所转制分流人员邓中佳，公安机关认定其没有违法行为。

Dueling statements in the Deng Yujiao murder case

Yesterday saw new developments in the case of Deng Yujiao, an employee of a leisure center in Hubei who stabbed a goverment official to death. According to Deng, she was acting in self-defense against a man who was sexually assaulting her, but the police and government have been advancing the idea that she was emotionally unstable and killed the official unprovoked.

Late last week, Deng's lawyers complained that they were being stonewalled by police as they attempted to collect evidence of sexual assualt. Then yesterday, the Baodong County government issued a statement announcing that Deng's lawyers had been dismissed for incompetence.

The lawyers fired back with their own statement questioning the government's actions. Here are the two statements, courtesy of Hecaitou, who posted both of them to his blog:

Badong County government spokesperson releases latest developments in Deng Yujiao case

Badong County government press spokesperson Ouyang Kaiping has released the latest developments in the Deng Yujiao investigation.

For several days, the police have increased their efforts to investigate the Deng Yujiao case. The spokesperson's release said that because the Dream City at the leisure center of Xiongfeng Hotel was suspected of being connected to the sex trade, police had summoned hotel manager He Dehong in accordance with the law. Further questioning of Deng Yujiao and witnesses and a return to the scene of the crime proved that there was no truth to the allegation that Deng had been raped. Deng, her mother, and her family were very upset that their lawyers had been publicizing the "Deng Yujiao rape case" without regard for the truth. Deng's mother Zhang Shumei has now stated that she has dismissed the lawyers, reason being that the lawyers had not carried out their duties, had not provided any material legal assistance, and had diverged from their role as advocates. An investigation revealed that the "third party" who came to public attention in the Deng Yujiao case was Deng Zhongjia of the financial offices of Yesanguan, Badong County. Police determined that he had not broken the law.

In addition, now that the Deng Yujiao case has come to the attention of the public at large, to insure transparency, timeliness, accuracy, and authoritativeness of information, Badong County government press spokesperson Ouyang Kaiping will be responsible for issuing information and reporting on the latest developments in the case.

A statement on the Deng Yujiao case

Early this morning, we read a press release on the Changjiang Badong website that claimed that Deng Yujiao's mother Zhang Shumei had declared that she had dismissed the two of us as legal counsel. We were shocked. Ever since Zhang had been taken off by Yesanguang police station director Tan Jing on May 21, straightforward communication had been difficult, and we were entirely unaware as to whether we had been dismissed. In addition, for this statement to come directly from the mouth of the government was highly irregular and very suspicious.

At 10:40 am, Zhang Shumei telephoned us to say that what the government press release said about her statement was false. She had not decided to dismiss us, and she asked to see us in person. We waited, and at around 4pm, Zhang suddenly called us to ask to dismiss us as legal counsel. She was unwilling to talk to us in person.

Prior to this, the media reported that we had discovered possible evidence of "rape" in this case. These were false reports. We brought up "sexual assault," which would constitute the crime of "attempted rape," not "rape" as it is colloquially understood.

We wish to express our strong indignation at the improper actions of the government, and we express our gratitude to our seniors and colleagues Zhang Sizhi and Pu Zhiqiang for their Letter to Xia Lin on the Deng Yujiao case.

It might be time to end our cynicism towards cheery slogans peddled by the world's commercial banks. A couple from New Zealand, for example, now have every reason to believe their local bank's motto: making the most of life.

The pair, named in media reports as Leo Gao and Cara Young, could hardly believe their luck when they checked their account at Westpac bank on 5 May, hoping to find their request for a NZ$10,900 (£4,000) overdraft had been accepted.

Instead, the bank had deposited 1,000 times that amount: NZ$10m, or around £4m. With so many borrowers around the world constantly being told "no" by their creditors, here, finally, was a bank that liked to say "yes".

Last night the accidental millionaires from Rotorua, a tourist city on the north island overlooking, appropriately enough, the Bay of Plenty, are on an Interpol wanted list after fleeing with the bulk of their windfall two weeks ago.

While their whereabouts remains a mystery, local reports speculated they may have fled to China or South Korea after transferring as much as NZ$6m to an offshore account.

The local newspaper, the Rotorua Review, said a police official had been sent to China to search for the couple.

Police said they were treating the case as theft but offered only sketchy details. "We are currently conducting an investigation into the individuals that may have been involved in the withdrawal of the money," detective David Harvey told reporters in Rotorua, which until now was known mainly for its geysers and mud pools.

"The individuals associated with this account are believed to have left New Zealand and police were working through Interpol to locate those individuals," he said, adding that the bank had recovered some of the cash, thought to be about NZ$4m.

Westpac, an Australian bank with 10 million customers, said the overpayment had been the result of human error and it was "pursuing vigorous criminal and civil action" to recover the money.

Gao and Young, who ran a BP petrol station on the outskirts of the city, had reportedly been struggling financially for several months. The station was closed on 6 May and the couple vanished the following day. Twenty-four hours later, their business was put into receivership.

Though Gao and Young hardly qualify as a modern-day Bonnie and Clyde – they are thought to be armed with little more than a change of clothes, passports and an ATM card – the unlikely fugitives have become the topic du jour among Rotorua's 55,000 residents.

Neighbours described Gao as a "really nice guy" who lived with his mother and brothers, and Young and her daughter Lena, all of whom have vanished. "We thought he was pretty honest, but it turns out he's not," the manager of the neighbourhood's off-licence told 3 News. The saga has hurled New Zealanders into the kind of moral maze that Gao and Young appeared to have spent just a few seconds navigating before deciding to skirt around it altogether.

Given the battering the banking industry has taken over the past year, many admitted that, if gifted with a similar sum, they would rather live as wealthy fugitives than remain out of pocket but with a clear conscience.

"Best of luck to them," wrote one browser on the 3 News website. "The banks are as honest as the power companies."

But another was horrified by the level of support for the couple: "I can't believe the number of people that say they would keep the money. These people have taken money that wasn't theirs, no matter which way you look at it."

Experts do not expect it will take investigators long to catch up with the couple; the only question is how much they can splurge before they are found.

In a case in the US last year, a Pennsylvania couple quit their jobs and fled the state after withdrawing $175,000 (£110,000) that had mistakenly been credited to their account. They were arrested in Florida.

Favorite The world domination of Scottish singing hopeful Susan Boyle continued with her first appearance on Oprah.

The Britain's Got Talent star told chat show queen Oprah Winfrey that the global fanbase achieved through her audition on the show was "like a dream come true".

Her appearance on the daytime programme accompanied that of Simon Cowell who spoke of his shock over Ms Boyle's voice.

He told Oprah: "This lady came up, and I'm thinking; 'This will take five seconds and I can go have a cup of tea'.

"That changed when she began to sing I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables.

"She knew we were going to have that reaction and just to see that look of satisfaction on her face midway through - it was one of my favourite moments," Cowell said.

The performance was posted on Youtube and before long, the 47-year-old Scottish singleton was a global phenomenon.

Speaking from her home in Scotland, Ms Boyle said that despite the attention, she hasn't succumbed to pressure to radically change her appearance.

She said that her friend helps her with make-up. "I mean, that's hardly a makeover," the singing hopeful added.

Ms Boyle also spoke of the reason she first began to explore her vocal talents: "I was kind of slow at school, so getting something like singing was a good way of hiding behind that and so boosting my confidence."

Cowell spoke about how TV talent shows have the power to transform people's lives.

美国纽约地标建筑自由女神像主体部分将于今年7月4日有限度地对游客开放，结束自"9·11"恐怖袭击以来长达8年的封闭。

自由女神像位于纽约自由岛，是最受游客青睐的旅游景点之一。在2001年9月11日恐怖袭击事件后，当局出于安全考虑而将其关闭。女神像基座内的博物馆和观景台于2004年8月重新开放，但主体部分一直没有"解禁"。

法新社记者22日先睹为快。记者从基座底部乘电梯上升10层后，再沿着168级螺旋阶梯拾级而上到达女神像冠冕部分，透过四周的小窗俯瞰纽约全景。

自由女神像主体部分由铜制成，外部因氧化已呈绿色，而内部依旧保持铜的本色。

当发现周围空间越来越狭窄时，游客就到达了自由女神像的颈部，再向上就是她的鼻子部位，内部的凹穴足以让一个人端坐其内。继续向上可以看到女神像的耳朵……

The Statue of Liberty is going to reopen to visitors on July 4, Independence Day in the United States

The statue, situated on Liberty Island in New York Harbour, was closed to the public in 2001 because of security concerns following the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center. The base, pedestal and lower observation deck have since been reopened.

U.S. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar announced recently that about 30 visitors an hour, chosen by lottery, would be allowed inside Liberty's crown.

He said that number eventually would increase.

The statue was completed in 1886, a gift from France to mark the U.S. centennial that year.

S Korean shock at Roh's 'suicide'

South Koreans have expressed deep shock at the apparent suicide of former president Roh Moo-hyun, who was under investigation for alleged corruption.

Mr Roh, 62, was killed in a fall from a mountain near his home. His spokesman said he had left a brief suicide note.

President Lee Myung-bak said the news was truly unbelievable and deeply sad.

Mr Roh apologised last month over allegations his family took $6m in bribes during his 2003-2008 term in office, but never admitted wrongdoing.

He came from a humble farming family, but rose to the highest office on a platform of clean government and reconciliation with the North.

'Pressure'

Mr Roh's body was taken in convoy from a hospital in the southern city of Busan on Saturday afternoon to his hometown of Gimhae, where aides said the funeral would be held. Hundreds of uniformed police and mourners lined the route.

Scores of people also gathered outside Deoksu Palace in the centre of the capital, Seoul. Many laid flowers in front of pictures of Mr Roh and burnt incense.

"This is a truly unbelievable, lamentable and deeply sad event," President Lee Myung-bak, Mr Roh's successor, said in a statement.

Mr Roh's predecessor, Kim Dae-Jung, said he had lost his "life-long companion, with whom I took part in struggles for democracy and shared 10 years of a democratic government".

"Allegations concerning his family members have been leaked to the press every day," Mr Kim said. "He was probably unable to bear the pressure and tensions any longer. My heart goes out to his family."

" I can't imagine the countless agonies down the road. The rest of my life would only be a burden for others. I can't do anything because I'm not healthy. I can't read books, nor can I write. Don't be too sad. Isn't life and death all part of nature? Don't be sorry. Don't blame anybody. It's fate. Please cremate me. And please leave a small tombstone near home. I've long thought about that. "

In a statement read live on national radio and television earlier on Saturday, Mr Roh's former chief of staff, Moon Jae-in, said he had left his house at 0545 (2045 GMT on Friday) and about an hour later, while hiking on Bonghwa Mountain, jumped to his death.

The former president fell 20-30m (65-100ft) and was later transported to Busan National University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival at 0830 local time (2330 GMT). He suffered massive head injuries.

In a short suicide note addressed to his family, Mr Roh described his life as "difficult" and apologised for making "too many people suffer".

"Don't be too sad. Isn't life and death all part of nature? Don't be sorry," the official news agency, Yonhap, quoted the note as saying.

"Please cremate me. And please leave a small tombstone near home. I've long thought about that."

Investigators are still examining the scene, but the BBC's John Sudworth in Seoul says it already seems clear that one of South Korea's best known politicians took his own life.

Bribery allegations

A human rights lawyer, Mr Roh took office in 2003 vowing to fight corruption, but correspondents say his term was a roller coaster ride, with his Uri party hit by scandal and infighting.

He was suspended early in 2004, after parliament voted to impeach him over a breach of election rules, but the Constitutional Court later overturned the move and he was reinstated.

Last month, Mr Roh was questioned over allegations that he had taken more than $6m in bribes from a wealthy shoe manufacturer, Park Yeon-cha, who was indicted in December on separate bribery and tax evasion charges.

The former president later apologised for the scandal.

"I feel ashamed before my fellow citizens. I am sorry for disappointing you," he said in a televised statement on 30 April.

Mr Roh admitted his wife had received $1m from Mr Park. However, he said it was a payment to help her settle a debt, and not a bribe.

He also said he was aware that the businessman had given another $5m to a relative, but that he thought it was an investment.

After Mr Roh's death was announced on Saturday, Justice Minister Kim Kyung-han said the corruption case against him would be formally closed. However, he did not say whether the former president's family would continue to be investigated.

May 22, 2009Today's Guangzhou-based New Express reports on an odd incident that took place in Guangzhou yesterday: a 31-year-old subcontractor climbed to the top of a bridge and threatened to jump off. This gambit is not uncommon among desperate creditors who want government intervention to help them get their money back, but in this case, as he was waiting on the bridge, an elderly man snuck up and pushed him off.
Though the man landed on an air mattress, he suffered multiple bone fractures and was said to be in critical condition in the hospital. The old man gave a triumphant salute to onlookers and then was arrested by police.
An article that ran on May 15 reported that there had been 15 "jumping shows" on that same bridge, the Haizhu Bridge, this year. Eight of the individuals were arrested for traffic disruption.

中网北京5月23日消息中国之声全国新闻联播18点45分报道，广州海珠桥上，一位老伯把一名威胁跳桥者推下桥。是见义勇为还是涉嫌伤害，广州市民对此展开议论。

21日8点左右，来自茂名化州的包工头陈富超因被拖欠工程款爬上广州海珠桥顶，声称要跳桥。警察、消防员陆续到场，对海珠桥实施管制，并安放气垫床，展开劝说。到12时15分，当大家束手无策的时候，一位60多岁的老伯爬上海珠桥，连拉带推使陈富超摔下大桥，导致其手肘、腰椎骨折。事后这位老伯说，跳桥者使交通中断，损害了广大市民的利益。
广州海珠桥被当地市民称之为跳桥圣地，仅今年4月1日以来，已发生12 次爬桥事件，交通经常为此中断，市民在无奈之余对跳桥者也有些意见。因此，老伯的行为引起市民的不同看法。

"我支持这个老人家，他是为了大众的利益，不要为了个人利益而影响公众。"

"跳桥的人也是没办法走投无路，肯定有解决不了的事情，不然谁有事没事往桥上跳桥，是吧。还是有些问题没解决，应该帮人家解决好。那个老头再怎么样也不应该把人家推下去，太缺德了。"

"两个人都错，首先那个跳桥的就错，爬上去造成了公共交通堵塞几个小时，那个老头也有错，有警察他就不应该上去，上去了就应该劝人家下来，不该把人家推下来，把人家伤了。"

警方表示，推人的老伯和跳桥者陈富超均被采取刑事措施，老伯涉嫌故意伤害罪，陈富超涉嫌聚众扰乱公共场所秩序罪。

在广州两会上曾经提交建议严惩"跳桥秀"行为人的广州市人大代表吴振鑫认为，这个看似简单的事件却涉及到方方面面的问题，并非仅靠处罚就能解决问题的，政府首先应该为农民工建立起通畅的维权渠道，才是"长久之计"。

英国伦敦大学学院（University College
London）教授特蕾莎·赫斯基上月发表的论文指出，中国20岁以下的男性比女性多3200万。她最近的研究显示，在男女比例失衡最严重的农村地区，由于许多女性都选择嫁到城里去
，因而情况会进一步恶化。

"看起来，在男女比例高的地区，特别是中国中部地区，问题将越来越严重，"她说道。"因为人口在迁移，我们不断地听到有关女性进城并留在城里的故事。这加重了农村地区男女比例失调的问题。"

"过去，迁移的人口最终会回到农村定居下来。但是女性们（现在）都在城里找到自己的另一半，并留在城里。而男性却无法这么做，城里的女性通常不会嫁给农村人，男性就只能打光棍了。"

赫斯基说她的团队本来并没有打算对这个问题进行调研，但是农村的男性经常会提出这一问题。这些研究者们正准备对这个问题进行更加全面的分析和评估。

"我认为这是个全新的问题。也可能官方了解这种情况，但却不公开讨论。"她补充道。

从90年代开始，农民就开始向城市迁移，但是赫斯基认为最近几年迁移人口开始快速增长，并且农民也更容易在城里扎下根来。

上个月，她与浙江师范大学的朱维兴教授和浙江大学的卢丽教授合作在《英国医学杂志》上发表了一篇论文，其中提到，中国新生儿的男女比例已经达到了119比100，而在工业化国家里这个数字是107比100。

"我们以前从来没见过如此高的男女性别比例。在很多族群中，男女性别比例都存在异常，但是从来没有这么高的。"赫斯基补充道。

The problem of too many men and not enough women in Chinese villages
is likely to become much worse, a leading researcher in the field has
warned.

China has 32m more men aged under 20 than women, according to a paper
published last month by Therese Hesketh, of University College London.
Her latest research suggests that rural areas – where the imbalance is
at its greatest – will be further affected because women are "marrying
out" into cities.

"It looks as if high sex ratio areas, particularly in central China,
are likely to get worse," she said. "Because of migration, we are
hearing again and again that women are going to urban areas and
staying. In rural areas that will exacerbate the sex ratio very
markedly.

"In the past, migrants have tended to go back home to permanently
settle. But women [now] are finding partners in urban areas and not
going back. Men are unable to do that. Urban women will not marry a
migrant man; men can't marry up."

Hesketh said her team had not set out to investigate the problem but
rural men were frequently raising the issue. The researchers are now
embarking on a fuller study to try to assess the extent of the
problem.

"I think this is very new. If [official] planners know about it,
they're not talking about it," she added.

Farmers have been migrating to cities since the 90s, but Hesketh
believes the numbers have soared in recent years and it has become
easier for migrants to settle in the cities.

Her paper in the BMJ last month, which was coauthored by Professor Wei
Xing Zhu, of Zhejiang Normal University, and Professor Li Lu, of
Zhejiang University, said that China has 119 male births for every 100
girls, compared with 107 to 100 in industrialised countries.

"We have never seen these sex ratios before. There have been
populations where the sex ratio has altered, but never to this
degree," Hesketh added.

The biggest male-female gap is among under-fours, meaning the problem
of "bare branches" – young men who can't find partners or have
children – is likely to increase.

The gap is greater in provinces that allow couples to have a second
child if the first is a girl. Among second-born children, boys
outnumbered girls by 143 to 100. The data is based on the 2005 census.

The paper suggested that sex-selective abortion – banned in China but
widely practised – was the main reason for a higher number of males.
While noting that many nations have disproportionate sex ratios, it
added: "In the era of the one-child policy the fact that the problem
of excess males in China seems to outstrip that of all other countries
is perhaps no surprise."

Hesketh said many families wanted males for practical reasons; to work
the land and support them in their old age, as well as because they
were traditionally viewed as more valuable.

But she added: "We think the sex ratio at birth is probably peaking
now. People are recognising that if they have male children who can't
marry when they're older that it's not a good thing."

The government has expressed concerns that too many men could lead to
social instability and is expanding programmes that encourage people
to have female children.

Chinese men in the eyes of Western women

Chinanews, Shanghai, Aug 8 For once, Chinese female film stars, like
Gong Li and Zhang Ziyi, have set a good image for Chinese women in the
world with the charm they display in their films. Compared with
Chinese women, Chinese men's image is not fairly good in the eyes of
Western women, the Shanghai Evening Post reported.

In March 2006, Zhang Jiehai, a doctorate holder at the Sociology
Institute of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, led a research
team to investigate how Western women looked at Chinese men.
The survey shows that many Western women think Chinese men are mostly
noted for their care for the family. Chinese men, as the Western women
say, are willing to spend money for women and when they fall in love
with a woman, they are serious about the romance.

In regard to their shortcomings, Western women think that Chinese men
do not have gentleman manners. Since they do not take much exercise,
most Chinese men do not have a good figure. Chinese men lack
individuality. Nearly every Western woman respondent to the survey
mention about the bad habits that some Chinese men have—spitting
everywhere, keeping nails and long hair, picking their noses and ears,
and not cleaning their teeth thoroughly. These bad habits make many
Western women think that Chinese men are to personal hygiene.

The survey was conducted in two ways, by questionnaires and
interviews. More than 100 Western women answered the questionnaires
and 20 women discussed the issue in details in the interviews. All
the respondents are white women and have either worked or lived in
China.

For French women, Chinese men, especially men in Shanghai, show much
tender loving care for the family—they look after their children and
show their loving concern for their wife, too.

Many American women respondents say that although China had not
experienced any Feminist Movements in history, many Chinese men do
know how to respect women. They open the door for women and carry
their handbags for them. Every time when these American women went
back to US, they realized how they had been spoiled by men in China.

To these American women, Chinese men's bad image in the world is
largely attributed to Hollywood films. In many Hollywood films,
Chinese men usually do not have a good image. In recent years,
however, the situation has changed somewhat. To a large extent, such
change has been prompted by Hong Kong film star Chow Yun-Fat. After
the Chinese film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was showed in cinemas
in the United States in 2002, many Westerners began to change their
impression about Chinese men.

1.说了大家别不爱听，别骂老一套：洗手，洗手，再洗手。这是预防流感最有效的方法。SARS曾经让我们学会了洗手，但我们总是好了伤疤忘了疼，很多人很快又把这个好习惯给丢掉了。趁甲型流感还没有到来，大家再把这个习惯捡起来吧！正确方法是：触摸了物体或与客人握手后，要用肥皂洗手至少20秒，最好用龙头冲洗。

Guidlines On How To Handle The H1N1 Flu

With the H1N1 flu virus spreading around the world and infecting more
and more people, CDC has posted on their website some guidelines
concerning how the symptoms can be discovered and what you should do
if you get infected.

Among the common symptoms of the H1N1 flu we can include fever,
headache, tiredness, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body
aches, diarrhea, and vomiting. Because it is not certain which groups
present higher risk for the H1N1 flu, specialists predict that they
remain the same as for the seasonal flu. This is why people of 65
years an older or younger than 5, pregnant women and people of any age
that have chronic medical conditions (asthma, diabetes, etc) should
take more care in dealing with this virus.

Doctors state that the sickness will last for about a week. If you
experience any of the symptoms above, doctors advise that you should
prevent contact with other persons. If you do leave your home to seek
medical attention, you should basically follow the same guidelines as
for the seasonal flu : cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue and
avoid large masses of people. It is believed that sick people are
contagious from one day after the appearance of symptoms up to seven
days.

Like it was stated before, most people will not require medical
attention to get through this sickness. If, at any point, you witness
any of these symptoms in an aggravated way, you should seek medical
care, but be informed that as the flu virus spreads, your health care
provider may not test you for the flu virus.

Because two of the antiviral drugs have been used to treat people that
required hospitalization or present a high risk of complications,
these antiviral drugs (oseltamivir and zanamivir) will be provided
first to people in the categories above.

There are some symptoms that indicate urgent medical care. For
children these symptoms include sever vomiting, fast or troubled
breathing, not waking up, not drinking fluids and not interacting. An
improvement of the symptoms that comes back with a fever and a worse
cough also requires medical care.

For adults, the symptoms that indicate medical care is urgent remain
the same, with the exception of sudden dizziness, confusion and pain
in the chest or abdomen.

It is also recommended that you protect yourself and the community
just like you would against a seasonal cold. You should wash your
hands often, especially after you cough or sneeze (use alcohol based
hand cleaners if available). It is also recommended that you try to
avoid touching your face and also avoid close contacts with sick
people. This way you can protect both yourself and the community at
the same time.

China's measures to control the H1N1 outbreak have been criticised by

China has confirmed its first case of the new H1N1 flu strain and
quarantined 130 passengers who had travelled with the man who tested
positive.
The patient, surnamed Bao, is a 30-year-old student and is in a stable
condition, China's centre for disease control said on Monday.
He is being treated at a specialist hospital in Chengdu, the capital
of China's southwestern Sichuan province, after testing positive for
Type A H1N1 influenza.
According to state media, Bao was studying at the University of
Missouri and left the US on Thursday on a flight via Tokyo to Beijing,
from where he took another flight to Chengdu.
"The 30-year-old patient is now at the Chengdu Infectious Disease
Hospital and people having close contact with him are also isolated
for medical observation," the official Xinhua news agency reported.
Aside from the passengers on the man's flight, it said his girlfriend,
father and a taxi driver had also been quarantined.

quarantined, although Xinhua said the man had developed symptoms of

In 2003, Chinese health officials were criticised for their slow
response to the outbreak of the Sars virus which first emerged in
China and killed about 700 people.
Following the outbreak of the new H1N1 flu strain in Mexico, Chinese
officials promised to implement strict reporting and quarantine
measures to prevent the virus spreading to its shores.
But parts of China's response to the new flu strain has been
criticised as excessive, with the Mexican government complaining that
several of its citizens have been discriminated against solely because
of their nationality.
On Sunday, Mexican officials announced they were pulling out of a
Shanghai trade fair in protest over China's flu measures, calling the
treatment of its citizens unacceptable.

Mexican authorities say 81 people are now thought to have been killed
by an outbreak of a human swine flu virus. How should authorities

More than 1,300 people have been admitted to hospital with suspected

Germany on 16 December 1770 in a family of professional musicians. His
father Johann and grandfather Ludwig were musicians and they had
decided to train him in music right from his childhood, so his father
took on the job to teach him the basic lessons of music. Ludwig
learned violin and some other instruments from his father. His father
wanted Ludwig to be perfect in music, and in that endeavor he thrashed
littel Ludwig whenever he made any mistake during practice (According
to one story, because of the punishments given by his father Ludwig
suffered from hearing problems in future, which ruined his life).
Besides the fact that his father and grandfather had a wish that
little Ludwig should become a great musician, he himself had a great
interest in music. Whatever treatment Ludwig received from his father,
he never let fade his love and interest in music.

Further, Beethoven was sent to learn music from C. G. Neefe. Beethoven
learned every possible and minute detail of music from Neefe and also
became his assistant when was 11 years of age. He learned piano,
violin and organ from Neefe. Beethoven and Mozart share many
situations in their lives which are perfectly similar in many aspects,
both of them were born in a family where music was the most important
and indivisible part of life, both received training in music right
from their childhood, they both had genuine interest in music and like
Mozart, Beethoven also had started performing in public events, shows
etc. when he was just six years of age. When Beethoven was twelve
years old, his first music work was published. Ludwig dropped out of
his school when he was thirteen year old in order to concentrate on
his practice and to perform in musical tours.

Beethoven then continued assisting Neefe till he was seventeen years
old. In 1787, he went to Vienna in search of good opportunities and to
demonstrate his talent in music. But he had to return to his house in
Bonn when he learned about his mother's illness. Finally, near 1792 he
took off for Vienna in search of a good work in the field of music.

In Vienna, Beethoven tried to learn new things and learned composition
and counterpoint from well-known personalities from the world of music
such as Haydn, Albrecht Berger, Salieri and Schenk. He even published
some of his compositions. Beethoven was a wise person and had a good
foresight; he had understood that in his run to achieve a good
position, all that he needed was good relations with people who had
power in their hands. Beethoven established his relations with high
profile people in Vienna, which ensured him continual income for his
lifetime. His relations helped him on such level that even that time
(1809) Prince of Vienna, Prince Kinsky and Prince Lobkowitz assured
him a yearly income if he agreed to stay in Vienna for rest of his
life.

During the period 1800 to 1813, Beethoven learned high classical style
and even adopted it in his creations and performances he gave. With
the new style that he had learned, he wrote some new symphonies, some
new concerts, quartets etc. Beethoven gained popularity very fast
during the middle period of his life. It was a time when Beethoven
wanted to concentrate on his work and continue with new compositions,
but at the same time he suffered from hearing problem, which worsened
gradually.

The problem with hearing that he suffered was reflected in the
compositions he created and even his social life was getting affected
because of it. It became very hard for Beethoven to attend any public
event as his hearing problem created lot of tension for him and at
times the situation led in broken relationships with others. The other
problem Beethoven faced in his life was his relations with women. It
was always a tension filled situation for him to face a woman;
probably because he hesitated to express himself or may be because no
woman could ever understand him. This resulted in the fact that he
could never fulfill his dream of getting married to a beautiful woman,
as the woman he loved was either from a high profile family who loved
someone else or he loved a married woman.

At the time when everything had almost finished for Beethoven, he came
up with a determination that helped him mark his re-entry in the world
of music. He wrote many symphonies (Erotica Symphony No. 3 which he
dedicated to Napoleon, symphony no. 5, 6, 7 and 8), piano and violin
concerts, various tones, compositions for orchestras, few operas,
number very famous sonatas, three and six string quartets etc.
Beethoven's musical work during this period is the most ultimate and a
state of art performance he ever gave. Beethoven had proved himself to
be the greatest musician of his time. He was successful in gaining
popularity as a public figure and was respected for his work in the
field of music.

After few years, Beethoven was in situation where he became almost
deaf and could hear nothing. It was a dead end for the musical genius
and it became nearly impossible for him to perform. Beethoven stopped
creating new composition and was very much frustrated (He even wrote
letters to his brothers telling them how he felt like it was an end of
his life and what he wished to do). During this period when Beethoven
had almost stopped working on music creation, his earlier
compositions, and symphonies ensured funds for him. But it could
hardly suffice for longer period and he suffered economical problems.

His health went on deteriorating and he had not enough funds left to
take care of himself. Finally, on 26 March 1827, the great musical
genius left this world forever.

　　路德维希·凡·贝多芬(1770-1827)是十八世纪后年叶以来世界最著名的德国音乐家。1770年12月26日贝多芬诞生于德国莱茵河畔的波恩城。他的祖父原是荷兰籍，移居德国后，曾任当地宫廷乐长。父亲是个男高音歌手，母亲是宫廷御厨的女儿。贝多芬生长的年代，正是约瑟夫二世实行"开明专制"的时期，波恩的统治者也实行了一些改良的措施。波恩成了当时德国启蒙运动的中心地之一。贝多芬的幼年就是在这样的环境下成长起来的。但是，贝多芬童年很不幸福，嗜酒成癖的父亲败坏了家业，他企图把四岁的贝多芬变成摇钱树，一心想让自己的儿子也成为莫扎特式的神童，因此他不只强迫孩子练琴，而且常常夜半三更酗酒回家后把孩子从熟睡中拖起来拉琴，不满八岁的贝多芬被强迫在寇恩的听众面前表演、卖艺，十一岁的贝多芬就开始在剧院的乐队里工作。这种严酷的童年生活，使贝多芬很早就走上了独立的以音乐谋生的道路，同时也就养成了他坚毅倔强的性格。

　　从1781年起，贝多芬在剧院工作的同时，跟乐队指挥奈弗学习巴赫的《平均律钢琴曲》和作曲法。奈弗是位很有修养、倾向于启蒙运动的作曲家．指挥家，他对发展德国的民族歌剧、清唱剧都曾有过贡献。贝多芬通过向这位老师学习，认识到学习德国民族音乐传统的重要，并在奈弗的引导下也接受了启蒙运动的影响，对德国当时的进步文学发生了浓厚的兴趣。

　　1787年以后，贝多芬担起了全家生活的经济重担。但贝多芬并未被艰难困苦的适遇所屈服，他设法在波恩大学旁听哲学课，他醉心于诵读和研究古代神话、希腊文和拉丁文的古典文学，他对莎士比亚、席勒、歌德等人的作品非常喜爱。他虽然没有莫扎特的早熟天赋，也没有莫扎特优越的学习条件，而他那孜孜不倦的自学所取得的成就，是他所有的前辈都不及的。

　　1789年的法国资产阶级革命和莱茵河流域进步的反封建运动，对贝多芬的思想成长起了巨大的作用，他逐渐把追求"自由、平等．博爱"作为自己的政治理想。1790年他创作的大合唱《约瑟夫二世之死》，把约瑟夫二世当做人民的救世主来赞颂，这一方面表现出他对共和理想的追求，同时也反映出贝多芬早年对改良主义的不合实际的幻想。这部作品也是贝多芬把声乐和交响乐溶为一体的最早尝试。

　　1792年，贝多芬在海顿的鼓励与支持下，来到维也纳定居。他起先是以一位天才的青年钢琴家出入维也纳的贵族门庭，并受到贵族们的热情接待和保护，他也曾一度产生过对上流社会的幻想。但是，贝多芬所处的时代毕竟与海顿，莫扎特的时代不同，时代赋予贝多芬更成熟的资产阶级自觉性和个人的自信和自尊。因而他一开始就不甘愿做贵族门的奴仆，而是要与贵族们有平等的地位。后来贝多芬渐渐发现自己的资产阶级理想和当时的封建社会有着很大的矛盾，再加上他1796年开始面临耳聋的威胁，使贝多芬很快增长起一种对现实不满，对个人命运反抗的思想感情。

　　1797年后，贝多芬患了耳聋病，病情逐年恶化。对一个音乐家说来，再没有比这一打击更沉重的了！恶魔限制了作曲家同外界的交往，妨碍了他的钢琴演奏，他不得不放弃演出，而长期隐居在维也纳乡村。

　　从1800年起，贝多芬在创作上很自然地逐渐脱开海顿和莫扎特的影响，力求创造自己的艺术风格，追求新的理想。他于1803年完成的《第三交响曲》（《英雄交响曲》）标志了他在创作上进入一个新的发展阶段──成熟时期。他这一时期的创作力极为旺盛，表现出巨人般的工作能力，涌现出许多杰出的作品。贝多芬成熟时期作品的基本思想逻辑──"通过斗争，得到胜利"，在这一时期中逐步得到确立，英雄性、群众性的交响乐新风格形成了，革命的内容、戏剧性的交响乐发展手法、形式上的各种重大革新等等，在这一时期都获得了进一步的发展。贝多芬最杰出的作品，几乎都是在他后半生三十年生涯的耳聋状态中创作的。

　　1815一1819年是贝多芬经历的四年危机时期。当时，欧洲陷入了反动的封建复辟时期，资产阶级的革命力量遭到扼杀，黑暗笼罩着欧洲大陆。这个时期贝多芬的思想较为复杂，他的自信和坚定被失望和动摇所袭扰;创作上的英雄风格向抒情性风格转变；作品很少，大部分时间花在收集、探索和改编欧洲各国的民歌上。这充分说明资产阶级上升时期的共和主义者是有其历史局限的。然而，贝多芬最后终于从沉默中挣扎出来，度过了他的危机时期。从1819年起，贝多芬重又把自己的注意力集中在反封建的斗争中来。此时他创作的五首钢琴奏鸣曲、五首弦乐四重奏，乃至他创作中最伟大的《第九交响曲》（《合唱交响曲》）等作品都具有深刻的意义。但贝多芬最后的晚年是他一生最悲惨、最痛苦的年月，孤寂和贫困的威胁使他穷愁潦倒，孑然一身，1827年3月26日病逝于维也纳。据说在他临终的一刻，暴雨雷电交加，贝多芬举起干枯的手臂向天空作最后的奋击。这种生命不息战斗不止的精神，全部贯注在他那些不朽的巨作中。

　　贝多芬是人类艺术上最伟大的创造者之一。他一方面有着卓越的音乐天斌、炽热的叛逆气质和巨人般的坚强性格；另一方面他那百折不挠的意志和对社会的责任感而产生的崇高思想，形成他作为一个音乐家的特殊品质。他通过自己的创作，特别在他的九部交响曲中，反映了那个时代伟大的人民运动和最进步的思想。他以时代和个人的命运为题，通过深刻的哲理和感人的艺术形象相结合，写出了一系列交响乐作品，表现了从斗争到胜利、从黑暗到光明、从苦难到快乐的资产阶级上升时期的精神历程，他的九首交响曲象珍珠一样永远闪闪发光。

　　通过对贝多芬九首交响曲的研究和分析，特别是其中四首(即第三．五、六，九首)标题性交响曲的剖析，我们不仅可以了解贝多芬全部创作的基本面貌和他那伟大而纯真的思想，而且可以了解到交响乐创作上的重大革新，可以看到交响乐是如何从海顿、莫扎特时代过渡到以舒柏特、门德尔逊为代表的新发展时期。早在贝多芬在世时他就已被公认是具有世界意义的音乐家，他既是伟大的古典作曲家，又以浪漫派的先驱而载入史册。

中国一位艺术品收藏家昨日承认，自己是佳士得(Christie's)上周在巴黎拍卖的两件中国青铜像的最后竞拍者，随后他表示将不会付款。

中国南方城市厦门的一家拍卖行总经理蔡铭超，开创了圆明园鼠首、兔首传奇怪异的新篇章。这两件艺术品在1860年被人从北京近郊的圆明园劫掠，并作为伊夫•圣洛朗(Yves Saint Laurent)财产的一部分进行拍卖。

佳士得此前表示，一位不愿透露姓名的竞拍者以总计3149万欧元的价格拍得这两尊青铜像。它们是在伊夫•圣洛朗收藏品3.73亿欧元的创纪录拍卖活动中的最后一天，被拿出来进行拍卖。

中国政府、公民团体和律师谴责了此次拍卖活动，他们呼吁有关方面归还这两件青铜器，并试图通过诉讼来阻止拍卖，但未获成功。

此次行动穿插着博主和媒体的民族主义言论以及政府的严厉声明，与以往由企业家买下此类国宝并带回国内的传统模式不同。2007年，12生肖兽首铜像中的马首在香港苏富比(Sotheby's)拍卖。但澳门亿万富翁何鸿燊(Stanley Ho)在拍卖前以约900万美元的价格购得，并将其捐赠给中华抢救流失海外文物专项基金(Beijing's Special Fund for Rescuing Lost Cultural Relics)。

这位艺术品收藏家昨日展示了他的爱国精神，宣称不会为铜像付款。他表示："每一位中国人在这种时刻都会站出来，我不过是正好被给予了这个机会。但是，我想强调的是，这个钱不能付。"

中华抢救流失海外文物专项基金表示，蔡铭超代表该基金参与了拍卖。该基金的资金来源为私人捐赠和国家补贴。

基金会副总干事牛宪峰称，蔡铭超是在叫价到1100万欧元时参与的竞拍，但补充称，原意就是不付款。

佳士得拒绝就蔡铭超是否是最后竞拍者发表置评，也不愿说下面会怎样。这家拍卖行只是表示，当出现问题时，将努力在买家和卖家之间调停。如果买家不付款的话，佳士得的拍卖规则提出了许多解决方案，包括采取法律行动，取消拍卖或重新进行拍卖。

不过，这一事件的复杂性意味着，其他潜在的竞拍者目前也许会避开这些兽首，同时，在巴黎大皇宫(Grand Palais)公开竞拍这种有利于提升价值的拍卖环境，也不会再出现了。

艺术品市场专家表示，蔡铭超可能被禁止参与佳士得未来的拍卖活动。一位有着艺术品交易经验的律师表示："如果你可以这样搅局，在未来的拍卖中，每次中国人希望追回一件物品时，就可以如此行事。"

A Chinese art trader identified himself yesterday as the winning bidder for two Chinese bronzes auctioned by Christie's last week in Paris then said he would not pay for the works.

Cai Mingchao, head of an auction house in the southern city of Xiamen, has opened a bizarre new chapter in the saga of the heads of a rabbit and a rat that were looted from the Old Summer Palace near Beijing in 1860 and came on the block as part of Yves Saint Laurent's estate.

Christie's had said a bidder who wished to remain anonymous had offered a total of €31.49m ($40m, £28m) for the bronzes that were offered on the last day of the record-breaking €373m Yves St Laurent sale.

China's government, a coalition of private citizens and lawyers had denounced the auction, called for the return of the bronzes and made an unsuccessful attempt in court to block their sale.

The campaign, peppered with nationalistic rhetoric from bloggers and media and stern statements from the government, was a departure from the pattern in which entrepreneurs bought such national treasures back for the motherland. In 2007, a horse's head from the same set of 12 zodiac figures came up for auction at Sotheby's Hong Kong. But Stanley Ho, the Macao billionaire, bought the piece for about $9m before the sale and donated it to Beijing's Special Fund for Rescuing Lost Cultural Relics.

In 2006, Mr Cai paid $13m to bring home a Ming dynasty Buddha bronze.

The art trader demonstrated his patriotism yesterday by proclaiming that nothing should be paid for the artefacts. "Every Chinese would have stood up in that moment. It was just that I was given the opportunity," he said. "But I want to emphasise that this money cannot be paid."

The lost artefacts fund, an organisation that finances itself from private donations and state subsidies, said Mr Cai had taken part in the auction on its behalf.

Niu Xianfeng, deputy head of the fund, said Mr Cai entered the auction after bids had reached a level of €11m but added that the intention was not to pay.

Christie's refused to comment on whether Mr Cai was the winning bidder, nor would it say what would happen next. The auction house just said that in cases where problems emerged, it would try and mediate between seller and buyer. Christie's conditions of sale lay out a number of solutions should a buyer not pay, including taking legal action, cancelling the sale or re-offering the item.

However, the complications surrounding the episode mean that the heads might now be shunned by other potential bidders, and the value-boosting circumstances of the sale, held in a glare of publicity in Paris's Grand Palais, are just not there any more.

Art market experts said Mr Cai was likely to be banned from future auctions at Christie's. "If you could just play around like this, the Chinese could play that game every time an object they want back comes up for sale in the future," said a lawyer with experience in the art trade.

3月2日，世博会启动门票销售工作。此次世博会准备销售6200万张全票，没有赠票，但有优惠票，共设个人票和团队票两大类共九种。个人票分为指定日票和平日票，其中指定日票分指定日普通票和指定日优惠票两种；平日票分平日普通票、平日优惠票、3次票、7次票和夜票五种。团队票分普通团队票和学生团队票两种。

　　门票的基准价定为160元人民币。平日普通票价格为160元人民币；指定日普通票价格为200元人民币；指定日优惠票价格为120元人民币，平日优惠票价格为100元人民币；夜票价格为90元人民币；3次票和7次票价格分别为400元和900元人民币，单次参观价格为平日普通票价格的八折左右，身高1.2米以下(含1.2米)儿童免票。

　　包括中国移动、中国电信、交通银行、中国邮政等4家境内指定门票代理商和9家境外指定门票代理商先后获得上海世博会门票销售资格，他们将通过手机订票、网上订票系统、语音电话订票、邮政投递系统等多种形式进行门票销售。

　　本届世博会的门票销售网点众多。负责境内销售的4家代理商每个开出800个销售点，一共是3200个销售点，平均每个省有将近100个销售点，基本上可以覆盖到地级市，但是在一些发达的省市还延伸到县级市。

　　世博会门票销售分为预售期销售和会期销售。预售分为三期，不同预售期购买门票可以享受相应价格优惠。

　　预售第一期：2009年3月27日至2009年6月30日。向机关、企事业单位和社会团体等团体销售指定日普通票和平日普通票。

　　预售第二期：2009年7月1日至2009年12月31日。向团体和个人销售指定日普通票和平日普通票。

　　预售第三期：2010年1月1日至2010年4月30日。向团体和个人销售指定日普通票、指定日优惠票、平日普通票、平日优惠票、3次票和7次票。

* in terms of ....在......方面,说起......,引出一个话题 = talking about.../speaking of......

导游一般比较喜欢用 As far as I 'm concerned,其实这个词组里面可以填入任何事物,意思和in terms of很像,但用法更加灵活,而且经常省略后面的is concerned
