iPhone: the iPhenomenon

It seems like a toy... a very cool toy. But can an iPhone do anything for your business? As we all know, gadgets cannot necessarily make business more profitable. But some gadgets can make doing business more efficient. Does the iPhone? Yes and no. No, you don't really need an 8 GB iPod to stay in touch with your clients. No, you don't really need YouTube.com access from your phone - unless your business IS Youtube... but it is fun. Other phones have maps and weather and text messaging... What really makes the iPhone great is it's web browsing capabilities - finally a real web browser (Safari) on your phone puts the full power of the internet at your finger tips. Email, stocks, websites, etc - practically everything you need to operate your business. Is that it?? Nope. Future upgrades to the iPhone firmware promise third party applications (MS Word? Excel? you bet! they are on the way) and exchange email integration. Remember this is not a phone with a stripped down version of your desktop OS on it - this is a Mac with a phone built in. The possibilities are endless.

Today is Super Tuesday. We in Washington State do not hold our primary until this weekend's caucuses. But for 24 other states it is time to select their presidential candidate. This is a critical time - it will shape the future of this country, the future of our businesses, and the future our lives.

We don't want to tell you who to vote for. Each of us should make that decision personally - from our hearts. But we do want to stress the importance of each vote. This is your voice - let it be heard. Listen to what the candidates are saying - not the news, not the analysts, not the other politicians, not us, not your neighbors... listen to the candidates' words. Go online to youtube.com and watch their speeches. Go to their websites and read their positions on the issues. Research their plans. Listen to their words. And when you believe them - when you believe in them - vote.

New KM4 Web Site

What's new? Well this brand spanking new website for one. It has been a long time coming. With our 10 year anniversary under our belt - we thought it would be a good idea to start the next 10 years with a fresh look and name.

Yep, Kim-Murphy Design is now KM4 Web Solutions. The name really stemmed from our awesome domain name km4.com. We've been referring to ourselves as KM4 for a while - but now it is official.

One of the things we have wanted to do for a long time is create a way of reaching out to our customers with news and information about both what KM4 is up to, as well as what is going on in the growth and evolution of web technology. We are hoping that this section of our new website will be updated frequently and provide that connection for our existing and potential customers.
