Well written article,Niles! I was conservative when I arrived in Oklahoma24 years ago. I even liked country music and honky tonks! Conservative elsewhere is liberal here, ie Brad Carson is the democratic canditate for senate here and he backs Bush on his neo conservative ideas. I gradually became very tired of "Sunday Christian", rednecks and the most closeminded people in my life. I know that it is my own fault for not leaving, but in one year, I will have my home paid for that I earned and paid for by own fiscal conservatism (bush spends far more than any other president and has put us so heavy into debt that we will be paying for his boondoogles for way more than 24 years!) on top of that he includes a chintsy tax cut for the middle class and gives the huge cut for the top 2%. Its like buying a mortage and not making any effort to pay for it so the debt becomes even larger with interest.

Niles, I appreciate your honesty for smoking weed. Do you believe you should have gone to jail for it or for George to go for his cocaine habit (many ADD people become addicted to that stimulant because it is like putting glasses on to help you focus. I would never touch anything stronger than weed especially being a man made pharmaceutical!) I rarely drink anything stronger than beer and I am cutting back on that!

I hope that you check out more sites esp on John Dean's book about this administration far worse and crooked than Nixon's administration ever was! It would be nice for Okies to keep an open mind to watching these movies and ask about all the connections with Saudis and the Benladens (letting them all out after 911 in only 2 days!) And why did he not really go after Benladen when he had the chance? These are questions that the secret Bush society never answers just like he wouldnt really answer the questions from the people last night(esp the 3 mistakes that he would not admit!)

It is kind on interisting that Michael Moore has absolutly no credits, sources or footnotes as to where he received his information for his movie and his book. Believe me, I grazed through his book and there are none. If you can find any reputable sources as to where he got his information, let me know, because I can't find them. If there are no sources, his work might as well be fiction. Any good author will give sources so there is some accountability for the accusations made. Case in point. Do you remember when Michael's movie came out? Two weeks later, he had to make a public appology because he fraudulently showed a front page of (I believe it was a Florida) newspaper that never existed (he made it up). He was forced to appologize or face a lawsuit from the newspaper. His book and movie have the same spin that the Democrats used in Missouri used durring the Bush-Gore race. The Democrats put a television add out that if Bush was elected to be president, black churches would be burned down and black's would be lynched. You should not be embarrassed for the Democratic party, but be embarrassed for the VOCAL MILITANT MINORITY of your party that makes the Democrats look bad (and apparantly the ultra left vocal minority has had most of the power in the Democratic party for at least the last 20 years). Most Democrats are not as far left as you are. They do not bash Bush just for the sake of bashing Bush. They do not come up with or believe unsupported conspiricy theories that they read on the internet. ie. "Bush masterbates in the outhouse in Crawford while looking at pictures of Dallas cowboy cheerleaders". GET A LIFE. Instead of blaming society for everything that has gone wrong in your life, why don't you do some soul searching and come to the realization that you are accountable for your own actions. It is not the government's job, nor has it ever been, to fix your problems. Am I cutting you down? NO! I am just saying that you seem to do a lot of complaining about just about everything.
Now I am going to answer some questions you seem to ask about me.

1. Have I ever smoked weed? Yes. I tried it about 6 or 7 times when I was a late teen and early adult.

2. Pollitical affiliations? Libertarian-left to middle of the road Republican.

3. Standard of living? Poor. Due to previous choices I have made in my life. I blame no one but my self for the situation I am in at this moment. I also realize that I am the only one that can pick myself up by the bootstraps and make a change in my life. I do not expect the government (other peoples hard earned tax money) to fix my problems.

I will make this simple. Life is either hard or easy. Deal with it. You seem to have a problem with people that are "rich". There always seems to be the saying that the rich get richer and the poor keep getting poorer. Let me tell you something, there is a reason for that. The rich keep making decisions that make them richer and the poor keep making decisions that make them poorer. I will debate this fact with you all day long.
Now I will tell you something else. I do not smoke but you just assumed I do. Second, I have no idea who Bubba, Larry, or Martin is. I stumbled accross your site while I was looking for Okie BBQ rub.

Apparently you have a reality that is just as abstract as most Democrats have. If someone sticks his finger a half inch from someone’s face, that is technically assault. So if someone proceeds to “assault me” then I will absolutely assault them in any way possible. You say that I had friends to back me up in case of an altercation, yet I was the one all alone standing by the door telling him to take it out side. So now you call me an alcoholic because I meet with friends after work for good conversation and laughs, when all you talk about is the last bar you were in. The only difference between our bar activities is that you don’t have a neighbor hood bar with friends you can shoot the breeze with because 99.9% of the people you meet can’t stand to be near you for any length of time once they have to listen to your ramblings. Ever notice how most people move away from you as soon as you open your mouth, especially women. Now you say that I threaten you, which I have absolutely not done. What I did do was ask you to sit down next to me and call me an “alcoholic” to my face. You seem to be better at bashing people on this web site that don’t agree with you far left political leanings, then saying the same things to them in person. That just makes you a spineless coward.
