Liv Tyler in Givenchy

This Givenchy dress has a lot going on in the neckline area. It's got a bow, one sleeve, and even a keyhole opening. But Liv Tyler manages to keep her look, and this dress, in check by limiting her accessories. By wearing her hair pulled back and not adding any jewelry, Liv allows the dress to take center stage. I like the model's gladiator boots, but on Liv, I think they would have been too much.

Eva Mendes in Christian Dior

This pink and orange Christian Dior creation looks much better on Eva Mendes, than it does on model Chanel Iman. I can't imagine that Chanel's outfit was supposed to have the same fit as Eva's, so I'm assuming Eva's version is modified. Nonetheless, I think Eva looks fabulous. She definitely had one of the best celebrity looks from Paris Fashion Week.

Kerry Washington in Armani Privé

This Armani outfit is truly unique, and not easy to wear, but if any celebrity can make this look work, it's Kerry Washington. I love how all of the colors in the outfit work together. The yellow color in the top blends perfectly with the pastel colors in the skirt. I guess that's how Armani designed it, lol. This outfit is also a lesson in mixing patterns. Different patterns can be mixed, but the prints in the patterns should be different sizes, and their colors should be cohesive.

Mischa Barton in Temperley London

I'm sure you're all familiar with Mischa Barton's fashion mishaps. She just tries so hard to be 'different,' and her style usually suffers for it. I have to give credit where it's due though, because Mischa looks great in this Temerley London gown. The color is great; it's the perfect shade of summer green. And the detailing on the bodice works well with Mischa's quirky style.

It's Almost Here!...July's Vogue Italia

I'm sure by now you've heard about Vogue Italia's July issue, which will feature only black models. While it's sad that industry's lack of minority models of all ethinicities is so dire that there's a necessity for this type of magazine issue, I have to say that I'm looking forward to it. Featuring photography by Steven Meisel, the issue will feature well known models like Liya Kebede, Naomi Campbell and Tyra Banks. But there will also be some of the industry's newcomers such as Chanel Iman, Jourdan Dunn, and Sessilee Lopez.

While we're waiting for the issue to hit newsstands, two editorials have already been released to the public. Naomi Campbell's being her usual luxe self (and decidedly not safe for work!) in a piece entitled, "There's Only One Naomi." While Sessilee Lopez is featured in a Yves Saint Laurent inspired layout. Rumor has it that America's Next Top Model alumn Toccara Jones can even be found in the mag. Shocking, I know, lol. I'm loving what I'm seeing so far, and I can't wait to get my hands on the complete issue. Hopefully the modeling industry will become diversified enough that this type of thing won't have to be necessary.

According to Women's Wear Daily, Kanye West, rapper extraordinaire, will be lending his creative genius to the Louis Vuitton brand. Just exactly will Kanye be doing for Louis Vuitton? Well, the self proclaimed Louis Vuitton don, is apparently working on a men's shoes line. I know people either love or hate Kanye, but I'm definitely in the 'love' column, lol. He has a great personal style and sense of fashion, so I can't wait to see what he'll bring to Louis Vuitton.

I only recently started watching Gossip Girl. With so much hype, I figured the show was worth checking out. And while I am pleased with the storylines and characters, it's the show's fashion that I love best. Rihanna is well on her way to becoming a fashion icon, and it must be said that she has one of the best wardrobes in Hollywood. After sporting outfit after outfit that gets her on everyone's best dressed lists, it was only a matter of time before our favorite fashionista took a wrong turn. Rihanna was spotted doing a little grocery shopping wearing this striped Emma Cook jumpsuit. I think the worst thing about the look is the fit of Rihanna's jumpsuit. It's not flattering to her shape at all, which is sad, because she has a body that most women would kill for, lol. I guess Rihrih was going for comfort, but this jumpsuit could have used a bit of tailoring. Although this outfit isn't up to Rihanna's usually high standards, it's still better than most. What do you think of Rihanna's look? Would you wear this jumpsuit?

Actress Gabrielle Union shows off a new short haircut in the July issue of Essence magazine. The cut was apparently in celebration of her fourth cover for the mag. Gabby's beautiful, and I think her new hair only adds to her looks. Of her new style, Gabrielle had this to say to Essence:

"I can already tell that people take you a little bit more seriously when they're not distracted by long curly locks. I wanted something different and dramatic, and this is it."

I personally love it when celebs change up their looks, especially when they chop off their hair, lol. Gabrielle's now joined fellow actress Hayden Panettiere with donning a short 'do for summer. Have either ladies inspired you to take a snip for summer?

You'll notice that the pants Naomi wears in the ad are the same ones she wore at the CFDA Fashion Awards. I really appreciate how models like Naomi and Kate Moss are still at the top of the game, even though they've been in the industry for a long time. It just proves that if you're good at what you do, people will continue to pay you to do it, lol. I can't wait to see more from this ad campaign.

It's like this is the deal she's been waiting for, but apparently she'll have to wait a little longer. The 2008 Tony Awards were held last night, and the show's host, Whoopi Goldberg, wore a dress designed by Project Runway winner, Christian Siriano. I must say that I really like Christian's design for Whoopi. When I first learned that Christian would be designing a dress for Whoopi to wear at the Tony's, I was kind of wary. Christian's designs are known for their ruffles and layers, and I didn't know how well that would translate on Whoopi. But I have to admit that I'm impressed with the final product. The dress is signature Christian with its dramatic lines, yet it still manages to be flattering on Whoopi. I like Christian's dress for Whoopi, but do you?

OMG!...Victoria Beckham Is Wearing Baggy Jeans and Flats

I think hell has officially frozen over, because Victoria Beckham was spotted at Disneyland not only wear flats, but also wearing a pair of baggy jeans. If you've ever been to a theme park, then you understand there isn't much room to play fashionista if you want to be comfortable. There's so much walking, so many people, so many rides; it just isn't practical to wear anything but flats. I know this, and you know this, but I didn't think Victoria did, or that she'd even care. I expected to see Posh walking around Disneyland in five inch heels, or at least some type of wedge, lol. I'm glad to know that when push comes to shove, Victoria realizes where to draw the line.

After sporting a questionable short haircut for the last few months, looks like Zoe Kravitz has decided to go back to wearing her locks long. The aspiring actress was seen leaving the Rose Bar in NYC sporting a new hairdo. I must say that I much prefer Zoe with long hair, although I think the problem with her short cut was the styling. It seems like everyone is trying to get out from under Beyonce's shadow. Destiny Child member, Michelle Williams was spotted at a NYC party wearing this beautiful silk maxi dress from Bebe. I have to say that this is one of the best looks that I've seen from Michelle. She's thin, so the maxi dress/bohemian style works well with her body type, and the ruffle accent on the dress also gives her the illusion of curves. Now that Michelle isn't obligated to wear only Tina Knowles designs, it looks like she's stepping up her fashion game.

I've always had a soft spot for Solange Knowles, who's probably best known for being Beyonce's little sister. Maybe it's because I'm a younger sister myself, so on some level I feel I can identify with Solange. Now, though, she's is stepping out of her Beyonce's shadow with her own cd, Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams, so that means Solange is doing the promotional rounds. Here she is visiting TRL, looking uber cute. I have a thing for frilly dresses, and I just love this cream Miu Miu dress that Solange is wearing. It's so girly, yet the short hemline gives the dress a hint of sexy. Solange may not be as well known as her famous sister, but perhaps that's about to change.

Liv Tyler is beautiful. She has a fabulous body. So if even she can get caught in the "silk can be unflattering" trap, then us regular girls don't stand a chance, lol. Here's Liv at the California premiere of her latest movie, The Incredible Hulk, wearing this blue Stella McCartney dress. It's a beautiful dress, but with silk, you've got to be careful with your choice of undergarments. It seems like Liv could have used some type of shapewear underneath her dress to smooth things out. It doesn't really have anything to do with size; it's just that silk can bring out bumps and dimples even in people who don't have any problem areas. Whenever you wear silk, be sure to get a second opinion before you step out the door.

Lindsay matches her Balenciaga 'city' bag with Balenciaga gladiator boots, but it's not only the designer brand that Lindsay's matching. She's also made sure that the berry color of her bag, matches the berry color that runs through her shoe. I thought we'd moved past the days of your bag having to match your shoes. But when it's Balenciaga, I guess exceptions can be made, lol.
